so like a month later (including a 3 week vacation where I didnt have my laptop), I'm finally done with this drawing. somehow in all that time I didn't lose interest in wash and epsilon. crazy! (I tell myself bedtime stories about them before sleeping)

epsilon is so interesting to me because there was so much potential to really lean into the horror of the came back wrong sort of trope with him but they honestly don’t, really.

if i were tucker, I would have been WAY more freaked out about epsilon, honestly.

like, here’s this guy who I guess kind of acts like my friend - who apparently died (for real this time) while I was gone, doesn’t know much of anything about me (because caboose didn’t say much about tucker), and that pretty much everyone around me is insisting is basically the same. but he’s obviously not. like that's some invasion of the body snatchers type shit.

and maybe that’s part of why tucker is so pissed when carolina and epsilon ditch the reds and blues. because if epsilon is gonna replace his friend, then he’s not even doing a good job at it because he’s not even fucking here!

IDK! i have a lot of thoughts about epsilon and the weird place he inhabits in the story.

I finished rewatching season 17 😭

I love it so much, and it's so special to me. I think partially because at the time I started rvb it was the most recent season. But also because it was sort of The End. Restoration didnt continue that story, it sounds more like an AU to me, and Zero technically continues it but is more like a spin off

So it has such an End of an Era feel. I used to really want more of this story but tbh I think 17 leaves it in a good place, I'm pretty satisfied with it. I'm just sad it's over 😞

Some moments I want to shout out

I forgot about the scene where Tucker is talking to Genkins but Felix is also there and can't hear genkins. And it absolutely killed me.

I think alpha should've been given a more ceremonious death than just getting emp-ed + tucker should've been There to witness it or Know of it when it happened so that Epsilon could be more of an individual character and not a version of the alpha church we knew. like those aren't Our church's memories those are the memories of the copied AI that was tortured and traumatized beyond repair by PFL to the point it's original host got fucked up ass trauma from having him in his head for . like. ten minutes. epsilon shouldn't have been That similar to church even with caboose talking to him cause they're almost separate entities + epsilon was never an empty slate he was a full file that was overheating and desperate for escape. like hello.

You know I realize that Lopez as a character concept was very much so conceived in poor taste, but also, "voice of reason that goes ignored solely because nobody can understand a word he says" is probably the funniest concept I've ever heard of for a character. Like yep this robot is the most sensible person in the show by a wide margin too bad nobody knows what the fuck he's saying.
