As I was looking through the rushes at the end of today’s shoot with my Lumix S1, it struck me just how much easier things have become. Astonishing visual quality, 4K, beautiful and natural colour science all married to phenomenal audio quality. Being able to plug in two XLR inputs is a dream! It reminded me of the struggles with DSLR video, lack of control and having to record audio separately to then sync in post. Nightmare! Now, I can just concentrate on the shoot and then the editing.
