I’m rewatching High School Musical movies and I just wanted to point out that Sharpay being so fixated on getting Troy to play her love interest in a play implies that she is aware of the implications/has a desired outcome of actors playing lovers and yet she also wanted to played love interests with Ryan… but that’s just a theory

She knows these are romantic roles. She wants to seduce Troy so she wants him to play opposite her, but she clearly doesn't mind playing opposite Ryan.
