Still sick, so not much to say other than not getting everything done I wanted to this month. I just wanna make stuff that's cute, that makes me feel better.
doesn’t even really look like sims 4, huh? i was majorly inspired by @awingedllama‘s recent save file/world tweaking project and decided to try and edit strangerville to my liking. i removed all the excess bloat of EA’s weird, low-poly, set dressing houses and look at how many lots we could have had! this map looks like something from one of the earlier installments, i’m so dang bummed we can’t build on any of these spaces. oof, anyway, low quality houses, fuzzy trees, strange rocks and clutter that don’t match aside, i finally have a decent world base to work with. now i’m recoloring and replacing all of the remaining world objects to my liking. also wrapped up the strangerville storyline so this map is just a normal area like everywhere else! i haven’t been this excited to build and play in forever, i’m obsessed with this overhaul.
been cleaning up my folders and found this wip from 2 months ago that i had forgotten about... it's just a whole bunch of decals for wall deco, but ya know, i figured some people may enjoy it.
it's 5 packages, with a combined total of 330 swatches. yeah. had to make separate packages for that very reason.
don't forget you can mess with sizes with the [ ] keys.

I started this project last month in the hope I’ll manage to create a functional object for making Martenitisi for 1st of March. (If you are interested in the Martenitsi tradition, you can read information about it HERE)
However, I did not know how hard actually is :D Why I always do this to myself? Anyway, I wanted to share a wip of the activity table in case I’m unabe to finish it before 1st of March.
disclaimer: i still havent found a way to import the werewolf head without the rigging breaking, but i had a look through the gp12 files with sims4studio and found the werewolf skin texture
so i took the mesh edit i made for the head that broke horribly and painted over the default face texture to see what repainting it would take
Just what is says - a minimalist-y style. The three shelves have a ton of slots - you have to have MOO on to access them all.
The bar across the top also has a recessed area that a thin lamp slots up into - so the table lights up from that bar(also turned off, etc)
This will be up for EA on Monday, so i will be posting the usual public previews with all the pictures and information ^^
1. To begin farming ducks, first you need to buy the Functional Duck Pond from build/buy mode, it can be found under Outdoor Activities category and it costs 250 simoleons.
Note that the footprint is larger than the object, I tried to resize it, but it doesn't want to resize, yet the Sim still goes throught the object, like it's not there, so I might remove the footprint for the final release.
2. Once placed, you can click on the pond to purchase ducks to inhabit it. You can choose between two types of ducks (white or mallard).
Once purchased a duck vfx of the respective ducks will show up in the water. For now there is no quacking audio, but I'm working on it, hopefully I'll figure out how to add.
The pond needs to be cleaned regularly. You can see your pond’s status by hovering over it with your cursor. Usually you'll see three statistics constantly - activity level (indicates you own ducks), hygine level and hunger levels. And two other statistics will show up on certain occasions - eggs level and feathers level (shows up only when they are ready to be collected, usually once a day).
When the pond is dirty, make sure you clean it so your ducks will stay healthy. Sims must also click on the pond to feed the ducks, to feed them is required 5 barley grains (so make sure to download the harvestable). Make sure to remember to do this every 12-15 hours to keep your ducks well fed, if you leave your duck hungry for too long they can die from starvation. Hovering over the pond will show you whether your ducks are hungry or fed.
The pond has custom states and animations! When it's dirty has the stinky vfx from the chicken coop and the back container gets full with dirt.
When your ducks lay eggs, the nests fill with eggs.
NOTE: If at the same time the pond is dirty and the eggs are ready, it won't show both states, only one of the two!
When collecting eggs your Sim has the chance to find a golden egg, which they can then exchange for money or 6 regular eggs that can be used in cooking, they are SCCO tagged. They can also collect duck feathers, which can be sold for profit or used to make pillows on the Loom (will update the recipe ingredients!). The interaction for eggs and feathers show up only when there are items to collect, otherwise they are not visible.
NOTE: If you keep your ducks hungry for too long, there won't be a warning notification, they will directly die from starvation (I tried to add notice, but no matter what I tried it didn't want to show up)! So, make sure to feed them frequently.
Your Sim can socialize with the ducks, which will increase their relationship. Any sim from child to elder can take care of the ducks. Children and teens develop their responsibility when taking care of the ducks. Children can also hug ducks. Toddlers can talk to the ducks and observe them.
Want to test this mod? VIP Patrons get to test alpha versions sometimes, of mods that implement new code, so when the mod is released to minimize the chances of issues. Testing is different from early access because the mod is definitely not complete & I'm using this time to make sure the mod works for people and there are no unexpected errors.
So, I am trying to build a "mini" school. However, I have slight ADHD and become a big baby when something doesn't look EXACTLY right. This #wip is the best I can do so far. Any suggestions?
