Pushing your luck is a critical component of Can’t Stop, as each player seeks to reach the end of a given set of potential dice rolls on their turn, both in order to prevent other players from getting ahead, and to secure a particular avenue for victory for themselves. However, while it takes more total rolls to reach the top of the dice roll values in the center of the board, securing them also prevents every player from making use of them for the rest of the game, leading to difficult decision making even in the early game.

This world, the world where I carve a place for myself, the world of men, it would turn on me, tear my flesh from my bones and feed me to the crows. And so each step I have taken, I have hardened myself, each step, every day, the creep of it unrelenting until, one morning, I touch myself and wonder if I am not, after all, become stone."
