kiyoomi watches as atsumu's niece, kanako, pick up a chip from the ground and put it into her mouth. he shudders. why did atsumu agree to watch the grubby little girl and then just leave kiyoomi with her?
okay, he didn't just leave. he's going to get food for them and he knows kiyoomi hates going to pick up food. so he's stuck with the kid.
"omi," the little girl says. she's cute, kiyoomi will give her that. she's definitely a miya- she's got the chubby cheeks and demanding nature.
"what's up?" kiyoomi sits in front of her. she's got a few toys spread around her. he can play with grubby legos, right? he'll be able to wash his hands after. it's fine.
"omi omi omi." oh, she's babbling. right, she's just learning how to talk.
"kiyoomi," kiyoomi says slowly, sounding it out for her. he repeats it a couple times. she stares at him, wide-eyed.
"k-omi." well, at least she got the k sound.
"close enough." kiyoomi pushes a few legos toward her and she starts playing. "we're going to wash our hands when uncle tsumu comes back with food, aren't we?"
"susu," she says while throwing a lego at the ground. kiyoomi smiles. he hopes that little nickname stays.
"yeah, uncle susu."
kiyoomi starts putting some legos together. a little car for her to push around for a little bit.
the door opens. "I'm home!" atsumu calls out.
"susu!" kanako calls out.
atsumu takes off his shoes and sets the bags of food on the table. kanako's already reaching out for atsumu when he finally picks her up. "my favorite little niece. how i missed you." atsumu kisses her face a bunch of times.
kiyoomi stands up and waits patiently for his kiss.
atsumu leans forward, kanako still in his arms, and kisses kiyoomi. "I missed you, too."
"I'm sure you did." kiyoomi looks at kanako and pinches her cheeks. "let's go wash our hands now."
they get their hands washed and food set out. kanako's pretty good with eating by herself, not really a shock considering who her dad is. kiyoomi keeps a close eye on her since atsumu tends to only care about food.
"samu's gonna be working a little later than expected tonight, by the way. he called me while I was out," atsumu says.
kiyoomi wipes some sauce off of kanako's chin. "okay. is everything alright?"
atsumu watches kiyoomi. "yeah. just short an employee today."
"eat some veggies, sweetie," kiyoomi says softly.
kanako pouts. "no!"
"just one? if you don't like it you can spit it out," kiyoomi suggests.
kanako looks at kiyoomi for a moment and then opens her mouth. kiyoomi uses her chopsticks to place a piece of broccoli in her mouth. she chews and swallows, then grabs her chopsticks to grabs another piece.
"there you go," kiyoomi encourages.
"omi," atsumu says and kiyoomi looks over at atsumu.
"k-omi!" kanako interjects.
"I am so in love with you," atsumu says, he has such a soft, fond look in his eyes.
"I am just getting your neice to eat."
"samu can't even get her to eat veggies!"
"dada!"
kiyoomi rolls his eyes. "can you eat a little bit more food, sweetie?"
kanako goes back to eating, a bright smile on her face. she doesn't get her pickiness from osamu, but she gets her love of food from him. there's no doubt there.
"you're a miracle with kids," atsumu continues.
"are you trying to tell me something?" kiyoomi raises an eyebrow at atsumu.
atsumu blushes and looks away.
kiyoomi stands up and picks kanako up. "I'm gonna get her cleaned up. you can clean dinner up."
"yeah, fine. we're continuing this conversation later."
"you're the one who stopped it," kiyoomi says as he walks away. "right, kanako? uncle susu is so silly." kanako giggles.

haikyuu x hogwarts crossover fanfic rec list !!
hello!! i really like haikyuu, and i quite like harry potter, so it makes sense that i like haikyuu x hogwarts fics, doesn’t it? here are some of my favourites ones that i’ve come across!! (o゜▽゜)o☆
be careful, and check tags/warnings before reading!!
this isn’t in any particular order.
(i used the little moon phases to represent .5/.25/.75 of a star ( •̀ ω •́ )✧)
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sixth Time's the Charm by tsumekakusu (T) 2,068 words [kyouhaba] --- (aka How to say "I like you" in six different ways)
kyoutani is such a nerd, and we love him for that. oh, right, yahaba’s also a bit stupid at times... he’s very dense. they get together in the end though, so that’s what matters!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love from the Quidditch Bleachers by sunablinks (NR) 5,271 words [sunaosa, bkg sakuatsu] --- In a wizarding world where everything fell into place because Suna Rintarou just wanted to know why everyone hated the Miya twins so much. “Wanna sneak into the pantry later and grab food for a picnic at the Quidditch field tonight?”
this might actually be the first and only sunaosa fic i’ve ever read?? not cause i don’t like ‘em!! and honestly, i might read some more of these after how cute this one was... but anyways, this is such an endearing fic, and they’re so in love, and i just love this!! suna taking care of osamu is really cute :).
⭐⭐⭐🌖 stardust by InkCaviness (G) 1,415 words [kyouhaba] ---  Shigeru first meets Kyoutani during their Herbology class and he watches in fascination as the Hufflepuff with the permanent scowl and broad shoulders carefully handles delicate plants.
it’s very nice, fluffy fluff, what else can i say??
⭐⭐⭐🌖 Magicked by HoneyBeeez (T) 8,470 words [kyouhaba] check tags for this one!! --- Yahaba loves all things medicine, so he's basically a kid in a candy store when he's allowed to be an assistant at the Hospital Wing. He loves what he learns, what he does... the only thing that's a little troublesome is the patients, and even then, its only one patient: Kyoutani Kentarou.
oddly humorous?? also quite sad though... the ending fit kyouhaba so well!!
⭐⭐⭐🌘 Blood by darkbluebox (T) 20,215 words, 10/10 chapters [tsukiyama] ---  Words like "Muggle-born" and "Pure-blood" don't mean a lot when you're still a child, but everyone has to grow up sooner or later.
adjdakjdwka, why do tsukiyama work so well for hogwarts au angst??? this hurt me,,,, but also, why are they so dumb?? like come on!!
⭐⭐⭐🌗 Show A Little Faith by minijhi (G) 13,872 words, 3/3 chapters [kuroken] --- “Why are you sending me a singing Valentine telegram?" Kenma asks, mouth flattened. "It’s six months until Valentine’s Day.” “I bought a dwarf over the summer to use as cupid.” Kuroo says. “I figured he could use some practice.” - Presenting Kenma as the Boy-Who-Lived, whose living becomes a lot more interesting when Ravenclaw Prince Kuroo Tetsurou starts sending him singing telegrams about defeating the Dark Lord.
kenma as the boy who lived is so jdakdjkad?? idk what to say. also, kuroo sending him valentines (not really valentines, but still) is so funny.
⭐⭐⭐ The Love Potion Of The Century by mago_teung (M) 170,383 words, 45/45 chapters [daisuga, bokuaka, kagehina, tsukiyama, asanoya, iwaoi, kuroken, ushiten] check tags for this one!! ---  "Wait, give me a sec. I have 7 brain cells left." "I bet you 5 galleons professor Takeda and professor Ukai are smashing each other, right now as we speak." "That Akaashi-san doesn't seem like a Ravenclaw at all. I was so sure he was in Slytherin." "Wait, Sugawara is in Slytherin? ... I've been calling him Hufflepuff trash this whole time." "Guys, I just saw that Slytherin kid Tsukishima and the Hufflepuff Yamaguchi making out at Three Bro-hey, stop laughing! I'm serious!" "You think if I turn into an owl I won't have to do the exams?" "That bitch Oikawa got another love letter. Thinks he's the shit..." "Why are you crying? Stop it." "With how often Kuroo goes to the Ravenclaw tower, you would think he was one of them. Kinda sad though, he's stupid." "I'm telling my daddy about this! ... No, that's my father. I'm pretty sure I said daddy."
this one is certainly odd!! it’s technically part one of a series, but i’ve only read this first one (and the last oneshot/spinoff/oneoff). it’s very... chaotic?? definitely not everyones cup of tea, and in hindsight, i can’t say i loved it that much. i definitely enjoyed it a lot more in the moment. the whole concept is completely stupid (literally everything happends because of a love potion), but if chaos is your thing, you might like this one!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Oh My! (You didn't know?) by mago_teung (T) 13,977 words [aofuta] --- "I like you! Get it through your thick skull!" ". . . okay?"
spinoff i mentioned above!! honestly, i like this one better than the main fic, haha. it’s very funny and sweet!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Burning Deep, Burning Bright by jellyryans (ryankellycc), ryankellycc (NR) 28,031 words, 4 works [asanoya, kagehina, daisuga] might want to check tags?
this series is absolutely amazing. asanoya focused, but there’s a kagehina and a daisuga fic too!! it’s such a fun twist of the whole asahi and nishinoya fight that happened early on in haikyuu!! it’s so cool to see it in a harry potter au... not really a hogwarts au though, just a harry potter au in general.
⭐⭐⭐🌗 As Well As You Know Me by Authoress (E) 8,542 words [daisuga, bkg hinayama, kuroyaku] very smutty, check tags!! --- There's nothing like a Gryffindor v. Slytherin match to get the blood pumping. Well, that is, except angry post-game sex, but Suga's a prefect, he would never instigate something like that, right?
umm... i don’t really like smut?? like, i don’t read a lot of it?? so i can’t say whether or not this is “good smut.” but, i like hogwarts aus!! and i loved the whole bit about house loyalty/pride, it was funny, and made a lot of sense considering actual lore of hogwarts!!
⭐⭐⭐🌖 woo you by bishounen_curious (G) 755 words [daisuga] ---  Suga snickered. “You really have no idea why I’ve been practically stalking you for a week?”
suga has the confidince i’ll never have, i can only dream... and daichi’s oblivousness to why suga’s been “harrassing,” him is so funny,,, this is really just such a funny fic!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spellbound by orphan_account (T) 6,847 words [daisuga, bkg kuroken, iwaoi] --- Out of all the people Daichi had to fall for, it had to be a Slytherin. Their two houses were supposed to hate each other. To be fair, he was nothing like the stereotypes preached. He wasn’t snide, slimy or pompous. He was beautiful in an ethereal kind of way. He was almost ghostly pale, all innocent brown eyes and silvery-blonde hair. Sugawara Koushi, the boy who was even sweeter than his name suggested.
daichi being done with his underclassmen is so funny, i can’t!! this fic is definitely really funny, but it’s also just extremely sweet?? huge rec from me!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐🌗 quidditch gloves, parchment, and custard cream by h_lovely (T) 12,450 words [matsuhana] ---  After class, Matsukawa finds Hanamaki in the tall cushy grass by the lake.
hajdkasdjakd, matsuhana > everything !! i love them so much gahhhh!! look at them!! look!!! and a freaking matsuhana hogwarts au??? ‘course i’m going to love it!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐🌗 snowflakes by arsenicjay (T) 3,622 words [bokuaka] --- Bokuto is a simple wizard with simple needs; a nice date, a little romance, and he's all good to go. Or, Akaashi and Bokuto spend a day in Hogsmeade just before Christmas.
they’re so ahdjakdj??? skrunkly?? little blorbos?? i love this sort of fluff,,, the cultural differences/references were really fun too!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ don’t let this magic die by canvases (oilpaints) (G) 8,498 words [semishira] --- Shirabu and Semi don’t really get along. By some twist of fate, they wind up sharing a room at the Leaky Cauldron after running away from their respective homes. Both plan on cutting ties as soon as they return to Hogwarts, but cramped rooms have a way of getting even the coldest of people to open up, often in the most unexpected and magical of ways.
i love semishira with, like, my whole heart, and this was so good!! their development- and their banter is written so well!! it’s so funny!! and their dynamic?! chefs kiss. i love this fic so much :’). (if you couldn’t tell by the rating i gave this fic, i have huge bias towards semishira)
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Haikyuu at Hogwarts by Killthespare (T) 622,936 words, 5 works, ongoing [daisuga, asanoya, ushiten, kiyoyachi, yakulev, akisae, bokuaka, shoumika, amanai/ennoshita] ---  Pretty much as the title suggests: a Hogwarts!AU with Haikyuu. It's planned for 7 book series so definitely a longer series. This first few can be read out of order with only minor confusion (about as easily as the first few Harry Potter books can) but there is an overall series plot in addition to the individual plots of each story. As of the fourth book, the previous third story should really be read before the fourth or later books.
i really like this series!! the characters are all really well handled!! it unfortunately hasn’t been updated in a little while, but the author says that they’ll be updating dec.18-19, so now would be a great time to get yourself caught up on the series in prepreation for the next chapter!! i will say, the current book is bound to get interesting...
⭐⭐⭐🌘 in which tsukishima and yamaguchi win ten points for slytherin by deanpendragon (T) 3,990 words [tsukiyama]
very crack-y i’d say. i think what i originally said when i bookmarked this fic sums up my feelings about it quite well: “eeeeeeeee!!???”
(if you couldn’t tell, i really like short, fluff-and-no-plot sort of fics.)
this is shorter than i’d thought it’d be,,, i’ll probably end up continuing this post as i read more haikyuu hogwarts aus, but here are my recs for now!!

Pastries (SakuAtsu)
Atsumu's a lonely baker who spends most of his time baking. It was his way of coping for when his parents had passed from old age and his brother, Osamu, had gotten married and started a family. He used to be surrounded by so many people he loved, but as time passes and they grew older, their time for each other became limited, leaving Atsumu feeling a little lonely. So, he builds his own bakery to keep him busy and fill his loneliness by interacting with his customers.
Atsumu had fun talking to various people. He's met students who buy his sweets as their reward for themselves for their hard work at school. He's met children who loved his cookies because they looked adorable. He's met lonely adults like him who think that life is boring and is a constant misery. He's met people who were enjoying life. He's met people who are in love and are content with their lives. But the most memorable one was the man with black curly hair and dark emerald eyes.
He was a man who looked like he who saw the world in monochrome. One where he just goes with the flow of life. Even his voice was monotonous when Atsumu strikes a conversation.
"You don't seem like someone who would enjoy cookies shaped like characters," Atsumu comments as he puts the cookies in a box.
"Well, they're not for me. They're for my daughter," The man answers, making Atsumu go, "oh,"
"Yeah, so how much?" The man asks as he pulls his wallet out of his pocket.
"That'll be 4867.52 yen," Atsumu answers and hands the man the box of cookies.
The man pays for it, and just as he turns around to leave, his phone starts to ring, and the man's face immediately lights up at the sight of the name flashing on the screen.
Atsumu wanted to ask if it was his daughter, but he didn't want to be intrusive, so he presses his lips together and remains quiet.
The man answers the call, and Atsumu could hear his daughter's voice, excitedly screaming, "did you buy them?! Did you buy it?! Please tell me you bought them! Please! Please! Please!"
The man chuckles as he pulls on the door, "Yeah, I have it, don't worry,"
Atsumu watched as the man walk away. He places his hands on the counter and softly smiles all to himself, "I wonder what it's like to have someone who looks forward to seeing you come home?"
The loneliness Atsumu had been feeling comes back after that little encounter, but it became stronger when he got home. He immediately dialed Osamu's number, hoping that maybe he's free, but he ends up sighing when he was directly sent to voicemail.
Atsumu doesn't leave a message and just ends the call before going to bed.
The next day comes, and the curly-haired man he met yesterday comes to buy a different set of pastries from him.
"So, did your daughter like it?" Atsumu asks as he packages the cupcakes the man just bought.
"She loved it," The man answers shortly, but unlike before, now he has this small little smile on his lips as he answers.
Atsumu hums in delight and gives the man the cookies, "I'm glad to hear that,"
A month passes with the man buying different types of pastries from him. They'd have small conversations from time to time, and as the days turn to months, they slowly started talking about more personal stuff.
Atsumu finally learned what the man's name was after three months of constantly talking to each other. His name's Sakusa Kiyoomi, a dashing name just like the person itself, but aside from Kiyoomi, he also learned his daughter's name, Sakusa Sayomi.
"Sayomi said she wanted to meet you," Kiyoomi says as he watches Atsumu put the cake in a velvet box.
"Oh, is that so?" Atsumu asks and puts a ribbon on the box.
"Yeah, if that's alright with you," Kiyoomi says as he takes the box and takes out his wallet to pay for the cake, "it's fine if you're not okay with it,"
"Are you kidding me? I'd love to meet her! I'm actually amazed that it took you three months to bring her here because you talk about her a lot," Atsumu says with a chuckle.
Kiyoomi puffs his cheeks and looks at his feet in embarrassment.
Adorable. Atsumu thinks.
"Do I really talk that much?" Kiyoomi asks, his cheeks flushed red and his fingers pulling on his slacks.
"Yeah," Atsumu answers, "so, when can I meet her?"
"What about tomorrow? Is that a good time?" Kiyoomi asks.
"Yeah, I'm cool with that,"
And with that, they finally bid their goodbyes.
The next day arrives, and Kiyoomi enters the bakery with an eight-year-old child holding his hand. She had this huge smile on her face as she enters, and her eyes immediately brightened up when she saw the pastries.
"Daddy! Look at the Kirara-designed cake!" Sayomi beams and pulls Kiyoomi to the cakes.
Atsumu chuckles as he watches Sayomi pull Kiyoomi around. She was like a bouncing ray of sunshine, and Atsumu couldn't help but wonder what it'll be like if he had a daughter.
Kiyoomi and Sayomi roamed the bakery jumping from one pastry to another until Kiyoomi finally pulls Sayomi to Atsumu, "Sayomi, this is Atsumu, the man who makes all the pastries you eat every day,"
Sayomi's eyes shine, and she lets go of Kiyoomi to run to Atsumu and hold his hands, "this hands,"
"What about them?" Atsumu asks and crouches down to be on the same level as her.
"I'm thankful for them because they make me my favorite treats," She answers and smiles at Atsumu.
"What about me? You're not thankful for me?" Atsumu asks and points at himself with a pout.
Sayomi chuckles and pulls Atsumu into a hug which surprises him, "of course, I'm most thankful for you because you make my treats and make daddy happy,"
Atsumu didn't expect what he heard, and so did Kiyoomi because when Atsumu raises his head to look at Kiyoomi, his eyes were wide, and his cheeks were flushed.
"How do I make your daddy happy?" Atsumu asks without breaking eye contact with Kiyoomi.
"By talking to him, silly. You see, daddy had been very sad lately, but ever since he started buying treats from you, he comes home happier," Sayomi says and pulls away, "that's why I wanted to meet you, Atsumu-san,"
Atsumu doesn't know how to respond properly, so he ruffles her hair and says, "I'm glad I can make your daddy happy,"
The rest of the day proceeds, with Atsumu, Kiyoomi, and Sayomi sharing a meal they prepared in the kitchen. It was already late when they finished talking, and Atsumu didn't want them to leave eating nothing but pastries, so he offers to cook them. But he didn't expect them to help.
The kitchen was too small for all three of them, but it was fun nonetheless. Atsumu found out that Kiyoomi cooks for them, but his knowledge in cookies was limited to a few kinds of pasta, ramen, and a few dishes. So, Atsumu decided to cook something Kiyoomi didn't know how to prepare so he and Sayomi could learn.
That night Sayomi and Kiyoomi leave with some leftovers from their dinner.
"Thanks for the meal, Atsumu," Kiyoomi says shyly while Sayomi waits in the car.
"it's nothing. I had fun," Atsumu says.
The atmosphere around them turned a bit awkward after what Sayomi said about Atsumu making Kiyoomi happy. But the awkward silence didn't last when Kiyoomi said, "Why don't we go out next time? All three of us,"
"Are you asking me out on a date?" Atsumu asks, and Kiyoomi nods, "my invitation sucks, but I'm hoping you'd say yes,"
Atsumu laughs and takes a step towards Kiyoomi, "I'd love that," he whispers and kisses Kiyoomi's cheek.
Atsumu steps away and sees Kiyoomi staring at the ground with his cheeks flushed, "oh, Omi-kun, that was just a kiss on the cheek,"
"Shut up!" Kiyoomi says and turns away, "anyway, I'll come by tomorrow to pick you up,"
"Sounds good to me. See you tomorrow, Omi-kun," Atsumu says with a smile.
"See you tomorrow, Atsumu,"
The next day arrives, and Kiyoomi does pick Atsumu up with Sayomi. The date was fun, and it made Atsumu feel like they were a family. That one date alone was enough to make Atsumu feel happy and less lonely. But that loneliness stopped coming when Kiyoomi constantly asked him out on dates.
Every month, Kiyoomi would ask Atsumu out on a date. Sometimes, they'd bring Sayomi with them. Sometimes, it'll just be them. The dates were fun, and it made Atsumu feel happy and full. Kiyoomi and Sayomi shooed away the loneliness Atsumu had been feeling ever since his adulthood.
But sometimes, Atsumu would wonder how long it'll last.
The day came when Kiyoomi stopped visiting the bakery. Atsumu thought maybe Kiyoomi was just busy. But the text messages became lesser with each passing day until all Atsumu receives are good mornings and goodnights. It scared Atsumu that maybe Kiyoomi was over it. That Atsumu didn't make Kiyoomi happy anymore.
But after three weeks of Kiyoomi being cold, he asks Atsumu to meet him at their favorite restaurant. This made Atsumu think, "ah, he's finally breaking up with me," and despite the pain in his chest, Atsumu goes to visit him.
Atsumu arrives, thinking this would be the last time he'd ever meet Kiyoomi and Sayomi again. So, he was surprised when the lights opened, and all he saw were Kiyoomi and Sayomi standing in the middle.
"Kiyoomi, what's happening?" Atsumu asks, but Kiyoomi didn't answer. Instead, their families came out, each holding a letter to form the sentence, "will you marry me, Atsumu?"
Atsumu was stunned, and he didn't know what to do. He ended up staring at the words in front of him until Kiyoomi walks up to him and takes his hand before kneeling down.
"Everything might seem too fast to you. We've only been dating for a year, and yet here I am on my knees, asking you to marry me," Kiyoomi starts and kisses Atsumu's hand with quivering lips, "but you make me and Sayomi so happy that I think this is the only way for all three of us to be happy together for the rest of our lives,"
Atsumu's tears start to fall as he waits for Kiyoomi to continue.
"It's so bold of me to assume that we give you the same happiness you give us, but you just seem to smile brighter when you're with us. So, I'm taking this risk and asking you to marry me, Atsumu," Kiyoomi ends and raises his head to look at Atsumu.
"You idiot, who acts so cold to their significant other when they're about to propose, huh?" Atsumu asks and jokingly kicks Kiyoomi's knee, "you suck at this. You should've been sweeter, not cold,"
Kiyoomi chuckles, "I'm sorry,"
"I would've said yes if you weren't so cold, you know," Atsumu says, making Kiyoomi panic.
"So, are you saying no?" Kiyoomi asks and gulps.
"I'm thinking about it," Atsumu jokes.
But Sayomi seemed to have taken it seriously because she runs to Atsumu, clings on his pants, and says, "please, don't say no, Atsumu. I really want you to be my papa,"
Sayomi had tears in her eyes as she said it and made Atsumu's heart clench.
"I was just joking, Sayomi. I'd love to be part of your family. It's just that you're dad is terrible at this," Atsumu says after kneeling down and hugging Sayomi.
Atsumu can hear the sigh of relief Kiyoomi had put out and laughs before turning to Kiyoomi, "you're lucky Sayomi's here to make up for your coldness,"
Kiyoomi rolls his eyes at Atsumu's words, "right like you didn't want to marry me in the first place,"
"Why are you suddenly so cocky?" Atsumu asks in disbelief, "it's because you already said yes,"
Kiyoomi smirks at him and takes his right hand to put the ring on his finger and placing a kiss on it, "thank you for saying yes, Atsumu,"
Atsumu smiles, "No, I'm glad you asked me to marry,"
And ever since then, Atsumu didn't have to wonder what it'll be like to have someone waiting for you at home because now he comes home to his husband and their daughter.

Be In Love
Description: It all started when Sakusa agreed to be Atsumu’s date at an old teammate’s wedding.
And that’s when Sakusa realized that his feelings were fucked.
Pairings: Sakuatsu (side Sunakita and Osaaka)
Words: 3438 (incomplete)
Sakusa Kiyoomi enters the fast food chain, furrowing his eyebrows as he doesn’t like the ambiance it gives off, he isn’t the type to eat fast food meals but the person he was meeting sent the chain as their meeting place.
Said person is on the corner by the four-person table--eating. Kiyoomi sits in front of him, but wasn’t completely fazed by him.
“Miya-san” he calls impatiently.
Atsumu places his burger down. Smiling at the younger who seems to be grumpier than earlier.
“Omi-kun, how many times do I have to say you can call me ‘Tsumu” the blond smiles.
“And I told you not to call me Omi-kun,” Kiyoomi replied. “Why did you even call me? And why even here?”
“I am craving burgers excuse me” Atsumu shrugs, but seconds later he grabs something from the pocket of his coat. Kiyoomi picks it up from the table--it was an invitation, all wrinkled and ripped.
“Kita Shinsuke. Suna Rintarou. Wedding” he reads. The names do ring a bell, but Kiyoomi couldn’t quite put a finger on it.
“They’re my old teammates” Atsumu stated without him asking. “And Kita’s my ex-boyfriend”
“Oh” Kiyoomi thought, feeling a heavy burden on his shoulders. “I don’t know what it has to do with me” Actually he does, Kiyoomi knows this stuff too much. He has known Atsumu for too long. Maybe two years is enough to know that the older takes too much pride in himself, he always wanted to be in the spotlight or if not, at least be able to blend in.
Kiyoomi knows wedding stuff, dates, watching two people exchange vows and kiss in front of a crowd, plus the foods and dances. Atsumu wants to atleast have pride in him enough to attend his ex-lover’s wedding.
And that’s where Kiyoomi enters.
“Accompany me on their wedding….err, I just want an accompany so that I won’t be lonely” he stated.
“Osamu?”
“He’s bringing Akaashi” Atsumu interjects quickly, followed by a deep sigh.
“You know me for many years Omi-kun. I actually don’t want to attend, but it’ll make me look like a bitter ex-boyfriend--” “Why? Because you haven’t moved on from him?”
Atsumu became quiet. Kiyoomi got his answers.
“No wonder”
Atsumu smiles bitterly, brushing his blond hair out of frustration. “Let’s not get into it Omi-kun. Look, do you want to accompany me or not?”
“Depends, what do I get for having myself be dragged into this mess”
“Ugh Omi-kun”
“I’m just kidding Miya-san,” Kiyoomi laughs, making Atsumu look at him.
“Sure, I’ll accompany you”
-
Kiyoomi wonders what spell Atsumu casted on him that made him say yes.
It was a rainy Saturday morning when Atsumu picked him up from his apartment. The sun is still hiding behind the clouds and drizzle of raindrops are falling on the car. There was a weird tense inside the car that the younger couldn’t quite figure out. Atsumu looks so nervous yet serious while driving.
Maybe it was because he’s on his way to his ex-boyfriend’s wedding, of course that’ll be the reason. Stupid Kiyoomi, he grunts silently by his thoughts. Looking to the window next to him to see where the destination will be.
“It’s a garden wedding near a cliff below the ocean. Enough to see the sunset exactly the time of the wedding ceremony. It’ll be beautiful and wonderful, just like what Kita-san dreamt of” Atsumu stated, making Kiyoomi glance at him.
“Are you sure that you weren’t the one who organized the wedding?” Kiyoomi butts out a joke.
“No” the latter bitterly replies. “But he keeps on babbling how our wedding would look like back then”
There was a moment of silence between them, the drive was still long and Kiyoomi can’t bear the awkward atmosphere both of them made.
“You nervous?”
“That’s a funny question Omi-kun. Of course, who wouldn’t be nervous about attending their ex-boyfriend’s wedding?”
And the fact that he’s not over Kita, Atsumu’s hands are sweating cold as he drives towards the venue. He was not really planning on attending it but his jerk of a twin brother Osamu beat him out of it. All he had to do was endure it, he was just lucky that he had Kiyoomi to accompany him. It was funny, he thinks. How he managed to convince Kiyoomi to say yes.
“You know that you can just not attend right?” Kiyoomi convinces.
But instead of answering him, Atsumu steps on the gas pedal even harder, driving faster than the usual pace. Kiyoomi kept quiet as he didn't want to bother his friend anymore.
-
The venue was breathtaking, Kiyoomi thinks. The sun was shining when they arrived at the mentioned venue. There were only a few people there, maybe 50 or a hundred he counts. The color motif was aligned with neutral tones and no exaggerated designs can be found, it seems like the couple decided on a minimal wedding.
“God Omi-kun, even here ya have to wear a mask?” Atsumu complains as they step out of the car.
“Yes” he replied shortly, a hundred people is still a crowd after all.
The two of them walked towards the garden where chairs are aligned, Kiyoomi can recognize some of them, probably people whom he met back in high school during the Nationals. Atsumu seemed to be off from his tenses, greeting his old teammates whom he found in the middle of the crowd.
Kiyoomi was about to follow him when a hand grabbed his shoulders lightly making him turn around.
“Komori?”
“I knew it was you!” his cousin laughs, they met last week but Kiyoomi wasn’t able to tell him that he’ll attend the wedding and it was surprising of him to bumped into Motoya here.
“What are you doing here?” he asked, noticing the baby blue suit of Motoya plus the lilac brooch on his right chest.
“It’s Sunarin’s wedding dummy! Of course the whole ejp team is here, but me and Washio are the best man” Motoya said proudly. Kiyoomi only nods, he almost forgot that his cousin is teammates with Rintarou.
Small world, he thinks.
“How about you? I didn’t know you’re close with them” Motoya interrogates.
“I am not” he bluntly says. “Atsumu asked me to accompany him”
Motoya’s expression changes from a teasing one, making Kiyoomi glare at him.
“Don’t think of it in a wrong way”
“Oh I am certainly not thinking of it in a wrong way” Motoya defends but there’s a smug smile on his face.
But before their conversation could go longer, their attention was called by the wedding planner---the wedding is about to start in a few minutes.
“Well, I have to find Washio now. Goodluck on your date” Motoya says.
“It’s not a date” he sneers but Motoya only laughed at him and left him there.
“There you are!” Kiyoomi turns around to see Atsumu walking towards him. “I’ve been looking everywhere for ya!”
“I bumped into Komori, he’s also here,” Kiyoomi explains.
Atsumu only hums. “Yeah, heard he is Rin’s best man, but anyways, we should go back to our chairs, ‘Samu saved us some”
Kiyoomi only followed the older towards the chairs. A few guests were already seated there and the two of them chose the seat on the right, Kiyoomi can recognize a few people around them--and he was right, they’re seated beside the old Inarizaki team.
In front of the altar there stood Suna Rintarou, wearing a white coat suit with his hands held together in a fist, he looked so calm as he was smiling from ear to ear.
“It’s not obvious but I bet Rin’s nervous as fuck” Osamu taunted making Kiyoomi and Atsumu look at him.
“Who wouldn’t be nervous, he’s marrying the Kita Shinsuke” Hitoshi jokes.
“But look at ‘Tsumu, he’s not marrying Kita-san but he looks more nervous than Rin” Osamu teases making Atsumu punch him on the shoulders. Osamu fought back but Atsumu didn't want to be the sour loser.
“Goddamnit you two even in Shinsuke’s wedding, the two of you will still make a scene” Aran fumes.
“Yeah! You two tone it down won’t ya? That’s embarrassing for your boyfriends” Michinari stated.
Osamu stops first, calming down as Keiji holds his hands. Atsumu only grunts, facing back towards the altar as Kiyoomi could only glance at him.
The music began playing which made everyone stand up to give respect to the groom. Kiyoomi turned around and saw Shinsuke in his white suit, holding a bouquet of lilacs and white roses. He was smiling from ear to ear as he slowly walked onto the aisle. It was breathtaking, the sun is about to set in a few minutes and all Kiyoomi can thinks is how the purple-pink and orange sky made the ambiance more lovely and warm, everyone was smiling as they witnessed Rintarou accept Shinsuke’s hands and as they faced each other, the two of them let out a soft chuckle, embarrassed like two teenage boys who just confessed their first love to each other.
Everything feels like they’re in euphoria, but when Kiyoomi remembers the reason why he was here in the first place, he had the intuition to look at Atsumu.
Atsumu with his eyes locked on the gray-haired man who’s brightly looking at somebody else--it must have taken him a lot of courage to go here and witness all of these. Kiyoomi can see, he has a smile plastered on his face. But the latter knows that deep inside he’s not fine.
Still, Kiyoomi doesn’t want to think about it for a moment.
-
The ceremony ended quickly. Now Kiyoomi is in a large rounded table with some of the old Inarizaki team at the reception. The dinner ended quickly with the host presenting the newly-wed couple. Doing some traditions like toasting the glass of wine and slicing the cake. Aran and Osamu had the opportunity to share their stories about Rintarou and Shinsuke making the atmosphere more livelier as their bright and funny stories bring ease that the couple were always meant to be.
Kiyoomi was trying to enjoy it. Trying to socialize with Atsumu’s old team or maybe try to find his cousin to talk with, but his mind was somewhere else. He can’t help but ponder what is running inside Atsumu’s head at the moment.
“Let us now all welcome the couple’s first dance! Anyone who wants to dance with their significant other can join our newly-wed couple on the dance floor.” the host announces.
Another bright song starts to play, Rintarou drags a shy Shinsuke in the middle, getting a lot of teasing from the crowd. At first, the older was hesitant but later on, places his arms around Rintarou’s shoulders as they dance slowly to the song.
“Keiji?” Kiyoomi hears Osamu’s voice.
“That’s embarrassing of you ‘Samu” the latter chuckles but still accepts Osamu’s offer to dance with him.
Kiyoomi looked at all the couples’ flooding the dance floor. Everyone was on their own world, as if the spotlight was on them. Kiyoomi can’t help but smile as he saw his cousin dancing with the person he’s been pining on. Finally, Kiyoomi thinks. Motoya now has the confidence to talk to him.
But the smile faded as he heard Atsumu grunt loudly. He glances at him who wasn’t looking at the dance floor.
“Do you wanna dance?” Kiyoomi asked out of nowhere.
“I don’t dance Kiyoomi” Atsumu answers.
“Oh”
“But do you care if you join me for a walk?” the blond interjects
Kiyoomi nods. Maybe a walk can lighten up Atsumu’s mood.
The sky looks more prettier in pitch black with glittering stars scattered. Kiyoomi looks up as he follows Atsumu somewhere far from the reception. Not noticing that they’ve reached the end of the place. They’re near the edge of the cliff, the waves crashing on the rocks below can be heard just like how the wind blew more strongly.
Quietly, the two of them stared at the vast ocean. It was dim there but Kiyoomi can see the bitter smile on Atsumu’s lips.
“He always wanted a wedding like these.” Atsumu started. Kiyoomi only kept his silence, waiting for another word to slip out of the older’s mouth.
“An afternoon wedding where the sun is setting then a night reception where the ambiance is much cooler. He doesn’t need extravagant decorations but he was picky on the flowers. Kita-san wants lilacs, it symbolizes innocence and purity, like a high school love. He always knows that he’ll find love in his high school days” the latter laughs sarcastically. “But I guess that wasn’t me”
“Did the two of you...dated back in high school?” Kiyoomi asked.
“No. But I confessed to him back in high school. He told me he’ll wait for me and he did, we dated when I was in college, we’ve been together for two years. That’s enough right?” Kiyoomi only nods even though he doesn’t understand what Atsumu was pointing out. “That was enough to be assured by your future with him. It was enough to think that everything was settled and there’s nothing to be worried about”
“Are you mad at Suna-san?”
“Not at all. Because if I do, then what the hell am I doing here?” Atsumu pointed out
“I’m confused Miya-san” Kiyoomi lets out a chuckle.
“Don’t call me that Omi-kun, Osamu’s a Miya too”
Kiyoomi thinks that Atsumu only too brokenhearted that he’s now babbling random stuff. He wasn’t bitter, that’s what the younger is sure. Atsumu only needed air to breathe in and absorb things, he wasn’t able to answer Kiyoomi’s question but the latter ignored it, what matters is Atsumu right now. The two remained quiet, leaning against the railings of the cliff, Atsumu was looking at the raven-blue ocean underneath him while Kiyoomi looked up at the sky, the clouds fading slowly to show the full moon of spring’s night. It was cold and windy and yet the warm presence of each other gave them ease and tranquility.
“We should go back now, I need another glass of wine,” Atsumu suggested.
Kiyoomi forehead’s creased. “I’m driving tonight if you got drunk”
Atsumu only laughs at him.
As they went back to their table, Kiyoomi noticed two familiar faces with them. Atsumu stops abruptly as Shinsuke turns around to give them a smile.
“There you are! I’ve been looking for ya everywhere” Shinsuke brightly greeted.
“We went for a walk, have you met Omi-kun?” Atsumu introduces, Shinsuke only gave Kiyoomi a small wave before he quickly turned his attention to Atsumu. “Do you mind if I can borrow you for a moment?”
Atsumu quickly glances at Kiyoomi who only gave him a reassuring smile. Hesitant at first, the blond only looked at Shinsuke for a minute but later on, accepted the groom’s request.
“And with that, I am keeping you company,” Rintarou laughs as he sits next to Kiyoomi. A glass of wine was toasted to each other as both of them looked at Shinsuke and Atsumu dancing.
“You know I never expect Atsumu to attend our wedding” Rintarou started. “And I never expect him to have you as his date, Motoya’s cousin”
“Why do you think of that?” he asked with much curiosity.
“Maybe because it was for the fact that I stole Shinsuke from him?” Kiyoomi glances at him with a disgusted look.
“Kidding! They broke up when Shinsuke and I started dating so don’t come at me alright?” Rintarou replies smugly. “But it’s nice to think that you’re here”
“Were you expecting me”
Rintarou hums. “I kinda know you through Motoya’s stories, he always told me that you’re not that great at socializing with other people this and that, blah blah blah but! You’re here and as Atsumu’s date”
“Miya-san’s not my date” Kiyoomi clarifies.
“Date or not, you still agreed to accompany him, and as I based it from Motoya’s stories, you don’t like socializing. So if I connect the dots” Rintarou snaps his fingers. “Atsumu must be really something for ya”
Something? Rintarou must have misunderstood him. Atsumu is just annoying and a jerk in the eyes of Kiyoomi, why would he mean something for him?
Alright so what if even though he’s annoying, Kiyoomi still enjoys the company of Atsumu? Atsumu may be a jerk but he’s a great person inside, it's just that, his annoying attitude comes out more often which irritates Kiyoomi and yet, the black-haired man won’t hesitate to say yes when Atsumu ask for favors, he knows that if he rejects it, the blond would be pestering him till he say yes.
What does a person have to be something to mean to a certain someone? What does Miya Atsumu have and did to be told that he means something to Sakusa Kiyoomi? Maybe in the two years of being teammates Kiyoomi knows him more than the rest, maybe because Kiyoomi was there when Atsumu gets homesick or if he just wants to practice more, Kiyoomi is willing to spike his sets? Was all of that mean so much that all Kiyoomi thinks during the whole wedding day was thinking if Atsumu was fine?
“Shit” he muttered.
Kiyoomi likes Atsumu.
“Oh dear” Rintarou laughs. “Did you just realized that you like Atsumu?” the latter teases.
“I don’t know” his words fall off quietly. He doesn’t know if what he was feeling right now for Atsumu is a liking. Maybe respect can be the word but no, that’s way too different. “How do you even tell if you like a person?”
Rintarou took a sip on his wine. “I guess you’re one of the people who doesn’t fall in love that often”
“I’m not that coldhearted Suna-san”
“Maybe I should ask your cousin then,”
Kiyoomi became quiet by that, letting the groom think whatever he wanted. His eyes wandered at Atsumu and Shinsuke. They were both still dancing but now they were talking. Atsumu looks so frightened, as if he was dancing with a boy made out of thin ice. Shinsuke surely is Atsumu’s first love.
There’s no way Atsumu can get over him.
The wedding ended within the midnight followed by a small fireworks display and sparkles which everyone adored and enjoyed. It took a while for Kiyoomi to see the bright smile on Atsumu’s face. After the dance, he was more relaxed than before and Kiyoomi must admit that Shinsuke must be really something.
On their way back home, Atsumu was smiling from ear-to-ear which bugs the daylights out of Kiyoomi, as if earlier he looks so constipated.
“Are you drunk?” Kiyoomi asked.
Atsumu laughed at him. Kiyoomi takes that answer that he is drunk.
“Omi-kun lighten up! I am fine, I can drive see?”
“You’re overspeeding at a steep road” the younger pointed out
Let me drive in peace will ya?”
Kiyoomi lets him. Afterall, he wasn't ready to be in a conversation with Atsumu all alone after the conversation he had with Rintarou, he is freaking out deep inside! His forehead creases by the thought, him freaking out because of Miya Atsumu? Doesn't sound like him--which is also the reason why! He was freaking out.
“Hey. You’ve been quiet, what got into you?” Atsumu asked suddenly
“You told me to let you drive in peace” the latter stated.
“Yeah but being too quiet is not peaceful”
“We have music Miya-san”
“Just talk to me Omi-kun!”
Surprised, Kiyoomi’s eyes widened by Atsumu’s request. Heart starts beating fast that his fear and worries disappeared. He looked at the blond who’s eyes now focused on the road, Atsumu wasn’t that mad but it hinted despair in his tone. What exactly is going with him?
Kiyoomi let’s out a sigh as he leans his head against the headrest. “What happened?”
Atsumu’s forehead creases. “What do you mean?”
“Back then, when it was just you and Kita-san dancing”
Atsumu hums for a second “He was glad that I went to his wedding,” but then smiles sadly. “And that I wasn’t lonely”
“Is he thinking that--”
“We’re together? Yeah” the blond chuckles bitterly. “I mean no offense Omi-kun, yer hot but--”
“And bold of you to think that I would date your piss hair” Atsumu clutches onto his heart, acting like he was hurt. “God Omi-kun! That hurts you know?”
“Good”
Atsumu pouts. “Omi-kun yer always bad at me,” then, he lets out a sigh. “But you know what Omi-kun, I am glad that you accompanied me. Thank you”
“It’s nothing Miya-san,” Kiyoomi said with a blunt tone but deep inside he was also glad to accompany the latter.

SakuAtsu AU tw // major character death
"Sakusa Kiyoomi, you'll always be my favorite view."
-
Traditional painter Sakusa Kiyoomi who only paints sceneries and cute animals, actually paints a portrait of someone for once. The reason why he didn't paint portraits of people is because he dislikes them (as obvious as it seems; it has also been years since he last painted a portait of someone).
When he found out that Atsumu's birthday is getting near, Sakusa started doing rough sketches of him and drafting. He worked on this piece for a month and finished a week before Atsumu's birthday.
"I guess it's fine to give him his birthday gift a day early..." Sakusa mutters to himself as he looks at his finished piece, happy with the results of the effort he put in for a month; he's excited to give his gift.
Two days before the birthday, Sakusa talks to Atsumu over the phone, telling him they should meet tomorrow for Sakusa's surprise.
"Omi, are ya watchin' the stars right now?"
"Yeah... the skies are clear tonight, so the view's nice."
"Night sceneries are your favorite, aren't they?"
"Mhmm," Sakusa leans on the window-frame, "I love them. They make me feel calm, and nights are more peaceful than the day."
Atsumu chuckles, "I agree with that, but my favorite view is better."
Sakusa raised a brow, "Yeah?"
"You shoyld ask me, Omi-omi!"
Sakusa rolls his eyes but laughs a little, "You're still so childish 'Tsum."
"Just ask me!"
"Fine," a small smile stays on Sakusa's lips, "What's your favorite view then?"
"It's you."
Moments of silence pass, before Sakusa speaks up again, "...You're not kidding?"
"I'm not, I'm serious."
"'Tsumu."
"Are you flustered right now, Omi-kun?"
"No, I'm not," Sakusa says despite the faint tint of pink spreading on his cheeks, "You always like to joke around like this."
"I told you, I'm not joking this time." Astumu's voice was calm, he's not laughing nor sound like he's smiling.
"...'Tsumu," Of course, Sakusa finds it weird, Atsumu being serious isn't an everyday thing, "Is there something wring?" He also finds it weird how silent Atsumu's background in the call is; there's no usual bantering from his twin in between, nor the sound of glasses clinking.
"'Course I am, Omi! I just miss ya-- since we haven't met in a week now."
Sakusa doesn't fight the smile that shapes his lips, "I miss you, too."
"Geez! Yer makin' my heart flutter too much."
Sakusa laughs softly and Atsumu chuckles, before they fall into silence.
"You should take a rest and sleep, Omi," Atsmu breaks the silence, "We'll see each other tomorrow."
"Okay," Sakusa looks at the waning mooon one last time before walking away from the window, "Good night, 'Tsum. See you tomorrow."
"Good night, Omi," Atsumu says softly, then a long pause before, "...see you."
The next morning comes; Sakusa wakes up to a text from Osamu, telling him that Atsumu can't make it for today's plan and he should come to the address that was attached in the message. What's odd is, Osamu was apologizing. Aside from that, the location attached on the message was a hospital's address.
Sakusa doesn't feel good with this.
The next thing Sakusa knows, he's in a hospital room and someone is crying-- no, not someone else, but he himself is. There's a painful feeling in his chest, certainly his heart stings. The cold tears that that stream down on his cheeks prickle, breath stuck in his throat along with his words.
"Why..." Sakusa turns away from the one who sleeps peacefully for an eternity on the hospital bed, from Atsumu, to face Osamu, "Why didn't any of you tell me?"
His voice trembles and cracks, a harsh breath after. Osamu flinches, seeing how Sakusa looks so hurt, and betrayed.
"How could I?" Osamu snaps, tears form on the corner of his eyes once again, "If you could've seen his face when he asked me not to tell you, how could I?"
Sakusa shuts his mouth, Osamu clenches his fists, "That was what he wanted... to spend the rest of his days ordinarily."
Osamu must be having it worse, Sakusa thought; Watching his own brother spend the rest of his days ordinarily and not being able to do anything-- he can't imagine how painful it must be.
Sakusa looks at Atsumu, who lays on the bed with a peaceful look on his face. Pain grows even more with the thought of not being able to see him smile again, and knowing that they won't ever see Atsumu open his eyes again.
"...Since when?"
"Four years ago," Osamu also looks at his brother.
"And we only met a year ago..."
"He knew you even before that," Osamu wipes his tears with the sleeve of his shirt, "He wouldn't stop talking about how he finds you pretty."
Osamu picks up of what Sakusa thinks a photo album from the table beside, "...He wanted to give this to you."
Sakusa accepts, but he doesn't open the photo albun, afraid of what the contents of it could be; he hugs it close to his chest instead.
"...I'll give you two a moment," Osamu turns to the door, "Just call if you ever need something."
As the door closes with a soft click, Sakusa takes the seat beside the bed, placing the album on his lap as he reacges for Atsumu's hand-- oh how Sakusa hopes to feel the warmth he longs for again --his hands trembling.
Cold. Atsumu's hand is, as Sakusa holds close.
Sakusa brings Atsumu's hand close to his lips, letting out a shaky breath as he looks at the peaceful look on Atsumu's face. Tears gather up again in the corner of his eyes, spilling down continuously onto his cheeks, "'Tsumu..."
He sucks in a sharp breath, there are a lot of things in his mind, questions he wishes to ask but are left unanswered, "Why?"
Sakusa holds onto Atsumu's hand tightly, and swallows a lump in his throat, "When you said we'll see each other today, did you mean it like this?"
Of course, there's no reply; not a teasing "Yer too serious, Omi!" with a laugh at the end-- nothing. Only silence.
That day, Sakusa continues to grieve. Everything seemed to blur, he lets his own feet take him to wherever, and ends up at his atelier.
Vivid memories of the times they spent together in this spacious yet messy room flood in Sakusa's mind; the cozy feeling whenever Astumu visits, the random things they talked about, the sunsets they have watched together, the accidental small touches when their hands or fingers brush each other, the matching mugs that Atsumu brought for them ever since he frequently visited.
It used to be so lonely, until Atsumu persistently welcomed himself here.
But now it's all lonely again, even feels lonelier than before.
-
Two weeks have passed, the burial was done and Sakusa went. He felt numb ever since, he barely went home and spent his nights in his atelier instead. He would find himself spacing out and staring at Atsumu's portrait.
Every time Sakusa realized he was looking, there would be a prickly feeling in his chest, a feeling of wanting to cry yet no tears were shed.
Tonight, Sakusa leans on the window-frame, looking at the night sky that's filled with countless of stars yet none of them shines brighter than Atsumu did.
The wind blows softly, Sakusa closed his eyes, and for a second he could've sworn he heard a gentle whisper of "Omi," or maybe it was from the memories he's holding onto.
Sakus opens his eyes slowly, he couldn't help but hope even just a little that he could see Atsumu again, but the first thing he saw was the photo album.
The photo album that he was given to, sits on Sakusa's wooden easel, the ray of moonlight shining down on it. He still hasn't opened it, he couldn't bring himself to.
"I guess it's time to open it, huh..." Sakusa whispers to himself as he reaches out to get the item, then placing it down on his lap and takes a deep breath.
When he opens the album, Sakusa starts to sniffle. As expected, they were photographs that Atsumu took with Sakusa. Most of the photos had something written (with Atsumu's messy penmanship) below them, the dates of when were the photos taken and short messages and notes.
Even though there were tears, Sakusa couldn't help but laugh at some of the photos and messages. There were random photos, like a fluffy stray cat glaring at Atsumu with a note below, "This cat still doesn't like me.... :(( so I only took a photo of it!"
Sakusa continues to look at the photos and read the notes under them, page by page, until there were only a few pages left. Those few pages were stuffed with Atsumu's unsent love letters for Sakusa.
He skims through the remaining pages, to check if those letters were the only ones left to look at. Sakusa's heart tinged with pain as he reaches the last page.
On the last page, was a photo of Sakusa smiling, and the note below it was written: "It's a shame, I can't admire your beauty until our hair turns gray. But,"
Sakusa doesn't feel numb anymore, emotions surge through his chest as he lets out a sob when he reads the last line:
"Sakusa Kiyoomi, you'll always be my favorite view."
--End.
