TSUKISHIMA KEI

Arguments with Kei usually arise whenever he starts crossing the line with his snarky and sarcastic remarks. There are times when he doesn’t know to limit himself when he blurts out things as if they are some kind of joke most of the time. When you started opening up to him regarding your recent insecurity and he slammed you with a sarcastic response, you felt awfully shit. It took you a muster of courage to bring it up to Kei yet, he didn’t see it as something serious.

“Seriously Kei? You know how hard it is for me to open up with how I feel and yet, you made me feel like shit.”

“What Y/N? I was just joking, don’t be so pressed about it.” You felt your blood boiling with how he perceived your point of view.

“Pressed? Are you fucking kidding me Tsukishima?” You never call him with his last name except for today because you had enough of him.

“If you’re going to continue treating me like this then I have no choice but to leave.”

You spat and pulled your heavy heart up to walk out of Kei’s apartment. Kei felt a shiver down his spine as he watched your figure slowly moving away from him. For the first time in his whole life, he felt a massive fear strike down his insides, fingers curling into his palms. When you shut the door of his apartment quietly, Kei swore he saw his whole life flashback in his eyes.

“I..fuck. I fucked up so much.”

Letting out a heavy breath, Kei stood up and hurriedly followed you before you could even slip away from his life. When he opened the door, he saw your figure walking away not so far from his door. With all his speed, he ran towards you and softly grabbed your arm just above your elbow so that he could see your face. But when he saw that you were crying messily, his heart ached and broke down. The fact that you were crying because of him broke him so much inside.

“I’m…so sorry, Y/N. I crossed the line.” He said softly, keeping the eye contact.

The following hours were spent with him holding you in his chest as you cry your heart out. Kei will listen to your sobs as he caresses your back. Once you calmed down, he will start apologizing sincerely more and will make no excuse for what he has done to you.

Days after that, Kei was extra sweet and will often check you out, especially with your mental and emotional stability. He never wanted to see you turning your back from him as you walk away because he’ll never be able to forgive himself if you leave him, especially when he’s the reason why.

KAGEYAMA TOBIO

Tobio thinks of nothing but volleyball. If he will be asked to pick anything versus volleyball, he'll definitely pick the latter. You don’t have an issue with this because, in the first place, you know what you are going into when you committed with Tobio.

However, when Tobio starts to get injured frequently, you began worrying like mad crazy. Tobio has the habit of over practising himself that’s why you were trying to convince him to take a break and only practice during his official practice hours.

“Are you trying to change my mind about playing volleyball? Because it’s not going to happen, Y/N.”

However, he thought of it the other way around.

“What? I am not trying to change your mind, Tobio. My side is that you have to rest too. You cannot overwork yourself and come home limping every single day because it hurts me and it hurts you too!”

“You know what? If you’re not going to support me with volleyball then leave. I don’t need someone who cannot understand how important my career is.”

Your heart shattered into pieces when he flipped the whole goddamn conversation into something else. You felt your insides being twisted with your significant other asking you to leave.

“Tobio, I have been supporting you since day one and you know I will always support you. However, if it's going to lead you to self-destruction then you’ll lose a supporter.” 

With teary eyes, you pulled yourself up and walked out straight of his apartment. In a matter of seconds, Tobio realized that you left for real. As he watched you walk away from him, Tobio knows that he’s about to lose you for real.

“Shit shit, no! Y/N!”

He yelled but you chose not to look back because if you do, you know you’ll fall for him again. But Tobio is a fast runner and caught up with you immediately.

“Please…No. I don’t want to lose you, Y/N. I..am sorry, love.” Tobio breathed out, hands resting on your shoulder for support because his foot hurt like hell.

Tobio knows he didn’t mean any of the words he said to you. Losing you was the last thing he wanted to happen in his life and he knows that if he lost you, he’ll never be able to pick up the volleyball again because it’ll scar him forever that you left because of it. You got a point, you were just concerned and he’s being stubborn.

Melting into your boyfriend’s arm, you took him back to the apartment. A couple of hours later were spent in the living room with you icing his bruised foot and booking an appointment trip to the hospital the next day. Turns out that he sprained his foot and will be needing at least a week of rest.

Tobio will probably be silent the following days, reflecting on his words and actions however, he’ll also reach a breaking point and apologize to you with all his heart. He cannot stand the fact that he told you to leave yet, you’re here, taking care of him like there’s no tomorrow. He’s a goddamn lucky one.

KITA SHINSUKE

We all know that Shinsuke is pretty strict with how he keeps things in his life organized. He follows a strict routine every day and is calm with life. However, when he encounters people that are not as efficient as him, there’s a tendency that he’ll lose control and will try to control your life.

You explained to Shinsuke that both of you have different approaches to how you deal with things in life. If he’s someone that doesn’t give a shit about some things in life, you’re the type to let everything sink in first before moving forward.

But this particular argument burst your last ounce of patience with explaining to him because he invalidated your feelings.

“Shinsuke, how many times do I have to explain to you that I cannot just push myself to do things that I cannot do at the moment? I am having a slump day and the least you can do is either offer me comfort or just leave me alone.”

“How long are you going to stay like that? The world will not stop for you just because you’re sad. Stop acting like that and do what you have to do.”

Shinsuke didn’t realize the impact of his words not until he heard no response from you. Turning to see you once more, he saw you wearing a blank expression. Honestly, he got a point but what matters the most for you at the moment is how you feel your emotions first before you heal and move forward. And Shinsuke just invalidated that.

“Okay.” You replied, standing up from your seat, and heading towards the door.

“Where are you going?” Shinsuke asked with arms crossing against his chest.

“Out.” With that, you didn’t even bother to wait for his response and exited the apartment. Shinsuke was confused at first but he figured out you wanted some space right now. Sighing, he didn’t chase you and continued with his daily routine.

Outside was you, heart heavy as you let yourself get lost with your slump day. You thought that going for a walk alone was actually nice and helped you clear your thoughts out of your head so you let yourself walk for hours without a destination.

On the other hand, Shinsuke already finished his afternoon routine and was just lounging around the living room. Glancing at his phone, he saw that the sun will set soon and realized that it has been hours since you left and you didn’t text him a single message.

Panicking, hen rang your number a few times.

“Shin-”

“Y/N, where are you?”

You heard things rummaging around in the background followed by keys jiggling. Eventually, Shinsuke came to pick you up because it’s getting late and he’s worried. When Shinsuke found you sitting on the bench by the river, he swear he felt calmness and peace inside with you.

“I’m sorry, darling. I invalidated how you feel.”

Shinsuke will speak softly to you and will not hesitate to acknowledge his mistakes. If you chose to stay silent, he’ll understand it and will just watch the sunset with you. Shinsuke knows that it’s his mistake and he’s in no place to decide when to be forgiven. He may look calm but he’s actually felt fear inside because he doesn’t want to lose you.

If you decided to forgive him, Shinsuke will squeeze your hand as a sign of affirmation and comfort. No matter what decision you’ll pick, expect that Shinsuke will spend the following days making it up to you with his small actions.

He wanted you to feel safe and loved with him because you are one of the things that he treasures the most.

loving IWAIZUMI HAJIME feels like plunging into the ocean on a hot summer day, splashing water at each other as you squeal and gasp for air. it is the feeling of his soft fingers sweeping hair out of your face as he apologises sheepishly for an extra hard splash. it's his large, strong arms wrapping around the back of your thighs suddenly, lifting you effortlessly as you scream in surprise, hands immediately going around his neck. it's the feeling of your heart pounding in your chest and falling in love on a hot summer day.

loving KUROO TETSUROU is slowdancing together in the dimness of your night light, feeling the cool evening breeze kissing your skin gently. it is your clumsy steps, lingering gazes, and the sound of soft giggles through the air. it is him twirling you around, the way your head spins when you start to feel dizzy and the feeling of light kisses peppered on your forehead as you sway side to side. but most importantly, it is finding home in the form of a person and learning to love.

loving AKAASHI KEIJI feels like the smell of old books and hot tea in the air. resting your head on his shoulder, linking pinkies under the table as you stare at the rain outside. it's the hushed whispers you two exchange under your breath or the occasional loud chuckle that bursts from your chests, the wafts of baked goods as you sit for hours and people-watch. it's the feeling of a fragment of heaven and being lucky enough to find a soulmate and love him with all your heart.

loving SHINSUKE KITA feels like clockwork and the slow but sure chimes of an old clock. it's the feeling of waking up early and getting lost in each other's eyes as he wraps an arm around your waist and you snuggle closer to his chest. it is both of you getting a house, decorating it together, dancing to your favourite music as you clean the house and him sliding his arms around you as you beat an egg. loving him is not loud and overbearing, but it is always there.

kyoutani is such a nerd, and we love him for that. oh, right, yahaba’s also a bit stupid at times... he’s very dense. they get together in the end though, so that’s what matters!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love from the Quidditch Bleachers by sunablinks (NR) 5,271 words [sunaosa, bkg sakuatsu] --- In a wizarding world where everything fell into place because Suna Rintarou just wanted to know why everyone hated the Miya twins so much. “Wanna sneak into the pantry later and grab food for a picnic at the Quidditch field tonight?”

this might actually be the first and only sunaosa fic i’ve ever read?? not cause i don’t like ‘em!! and honestly, i might read some more of these after how cute this one was... but anyways, this is such an endearing fic, and they’re so in love, and i just love this!! suna taking care of osamu is really cute :).

⭐⭐⭐🌖 stardust by InkCaviness (G) 1,415 words [kyouhaba] ---  Shigeru first meets Kyoutani during their Herbology class and he watches in fascination as the Hufflepuff with the permanent scowl and broad shoulders carefully handles delicate plants.

it’s very nice, fluffy fluff, what else can i say?? 

⭐⭐⭐🌖 Magicked by HoneyBeeez (T) 8,470 words [kyouhaba] check tags for this one!! --- Yahaba loves all things medicine, so he's basically a kid in a candy store when he's allowed to be an assistant at the Hospital Wing. He loves what he learns, what he does... the only thing that's a little troublesome is the patients, and even then, its only one patient: Kyoutani Kentarou.

oddly humorous?? also quite sad though... the ending fit kyouhaba so well!!

⭐⭐⭐🌘 Blood by darkbluebox (T) 20,215 words, 10/10 chapters [tsukiyama] ---  Words like "Muggle-born" and "Pure-blood" don't mean a lot when you're still a child, but everyone has to grow up sooner or later.

adjdakjdwka, why do tsukiyama work so well for hogwarts au angst??? this hurt me,,,, but also, why are they so dumb?? like come on!! 

⭐⭐⭐🌗 Show A Little Faith by minijhi (G) 13,872 words, 3/3 chapters [kuroken] --- “Why are you sending me a singing Valentine telegram?" Kenma asks, mouth flattened. "It’s six months until Valentine’s Day.” “I bought a dwarf over the summer to use as cupid.” Kuroo says. “I figured he could use some practice.” - Presenting Kenma as the Boy-Who-Lived, whose living becomes a lot more interesting when Ravenclaw Prince Kuroo Tetsurou starts sending him singing telegrams about defeating the Dark Lord.

kenma as the boy who lived is so jdakdjkad?? idk what to say. also, kuroo sending him valentines (not really valentines, but still) is so funny. 

⭐⭐⭐ The Love Potion Of The Century by mago_teung (M) 170,383 words, 45/45 chapters [daisuga, bokuaka, kagehina, tsukiyama, asanoya, iwaoi, kuroken, ushiten] check tags for this one!! ---  "Wait, give me a sec. I have 7 brain cells left." "I bet you 5 galleons professor Takeda and professor Ukai are smashing each other, right now as we speak." "That Akaashi-san doesn't seem like a Ravenclaw at all. I was so sure he was in Slytherin." "Wait, Sugawara is in Slytherin? ... I've been calling him Hufflepuff trash this whole time." "Guys, I just saw that Slytherin kid Tsukishima and the Hufflepuff Yamaguchi making out at Three Bro-hey, stop laughing! I'm serious!" "You think if I turn into an owl I won't have to do the exams?" "That bitch Oikawa got another love letter. Thinks he's the shit..." "Why are you crying? Stop it." "With how often Kuroo goes to the Ravenclaw tower, you would think he was one of them. Kinda sad though, he's stupid." "I'm telling my daddy about this! ... No, that's my father. I'm pretty sure I said daddy." 

this one is certainly odd!! it’s technically part one of a series, but i’ve only read this first one (and the last oneshot/spinoff/oneoff). it’s very... chaotic?? definitely not everyones cup of tea, and in hindsight, i can’t say i loved it that much. i definitely enjoyed it a lot more in the moment. the whole concept is completely stupid (literally everything happends because of a love potion), but if chaos is your thing, you might like this one!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Oh My! (You didn't know?) by mago_teung (T) 13,977 words [aofuta] --- "I like you! Get it through your thick skull!" ". . . okay?"

spinoff i mentioned above!! honestly, i like this one better than the main fic, haha. it’s very funny and sweet!! 

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Burning Deep, Burning Bright by jellyryans (ryankellycc), ryankellycc (NR) 28,031 words, 4 works [asanoya, kagehina, daisuga] might want to check tags?

this series is absolutely amazing. asanoya focused, but there’s a kagehina and a daisuga fic too!! it’s such a fun twist of the whole asahi and nishinoya fight that happened early on in haikyuu!! it’s so cool to see it in a harry potter au... not really a hogwarts au though, just a harry potter au in general. 

⭐⭐⭐🌗 As Well As You Know Me by Authoress (E) 8,542 words [daisuga, bkg hinayama, kuroyaku] very smutty, check tags!! --- There's nothing like a Gryffindor v. Slytherin match to get the blood pumping. Well, that is, except angry post-game sex, but Suga's a prefect, he would never instigate something like that, right?

umm... i don’t really like smut?? like, i don’t read a lot of it?? so i can’t say whether or not this is “good smut.” but, i like hogwarts aus!! and i loved the whole bit about house loyalty/pride, it was funny, and made a lot of sense considering actual lore of hogwarts!! 

⭐⭐⭐🌖 woo you by bishounen_curious (G) 755 words [daisuga] ---  Suga snickered. “You really have no idea why I’ve been practically stalking you for a week?”

suga has the confidince i’ll never have, i can only dream... and daichi’s oblivousness to why suga’s been “harrassing,” him is so funny,,, this is really just such a funny fic!! 

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spellbound by orphan_account (T) 6,847 words [daisuga, bkg kuroken, iwaoi] --- Out of all the people Daichi had to fall for, it had to be a Slytherin. Their two houses were supposed to hate each other. To be fair, he was nothing like the stereotypes preached. He wasn’t snide, slimy or pompous. He was beautiful in an ethereal kind of way. He was almost ghostly pale, all innocent brown eyes and silvery-blonde hair. Sugawara Koushi, the boy who was even sweeter than his name suggested.

daichi being done with his underclassmen is so funny, i can’t!! this fic is definitely really funny, but it’s also just extremely sweet?? huge rec from me!! 

⭐⭐⭐⭐🌗 quidditch gloves, parchment, and custard cream by h_lovely (T) 12,450 words [matsuhana] ---  After class, Matsukawa finds Hanamaki in the tall cushy grass by the lake.

hajdkasdjakd, matsuhana > everything !! i love them so much gahhhh!! look at them!! look!!! and a freaking matsuhana hogwarts au??? ‘course i’m going to love it!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐🌗 snowflakes by arsenicjay (T) 3,622 words [bokuaka] --- Bokuto is a simple wizard with simple needs; a nice date, a little romance, and he's all good to go. Or, Akaashi and Bokuto spend a day in Hogsmeade just before Christmas.

they’re so ahdjakdj??? skrunkly?? little blorbos?? i love this sort of fluff,,, the cultural differences/references were really fun too!! 

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ don’t let this magic die by canvases (oilpaints) (G) 8,498 words [semishira] --- Shirabu and Semi don’t really get along. By some twist of fate, they wind up sharing a room at the Leaky Cauldron after running away from their respective homes. Both plan on cutting ties as soon as they return to Hogwarts, but cramped rooms have a way of getting even the coldest of people to open up, often in the most unexpected and magical of ways.

i love semishira with, like, my whole heart, and this was so good!! their development- and their banter is written so well!! it’s so funny!! and their dynamic?! chefs kiss. i love this fic so much :’). (if you couldn’t tell by the rating i gave this fic, i have huge bias towards semishira)

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Haikyuu at Hogwarts by Killthespare (T) 622,936 words, 5 works, ongoing [daisuga, asanoya, ushiten, kiyoyachi, yakulev, akisae, bokuaka, shoumika, amanai/ennoshita] ---  Pretty much as the title suggests: a Hogwarts!AU with Haikyuu. It's planned for 7 book series so definitely a longer series. This first few can be read out of order with only minor confusion (about as easily as the first few Harry Potter books can) but there is an overall series plot in addition to the individual plots of each story. As of the fourth book, the previous third story should really be read before the fourth or later books.

i really like this series!! the characters are all really well handled!! it unfortunately hasn’t been updated in a little while, but the author says that they’ll be updating dec.18-19, so now would be a great time to get yourself caught up on the series in prepreation for the next chapter!! i will say, the current book is bound to get interesting... 

⭐⭐⭐🌘 in which tsukishima and yamaguchi win ten points for slytherin by deanpendragon (T) 3,990 words [tsukiyama]

very crack-y i’d say. i think what i originally said when i bookmarked this fic sums up my feelings about it quite well: “eeeeeeeee!!???”

“You sure you’re not cold?” Suna wrapped the wool blanket around your shoulders, enveloping the piece of clothing in your whole body.

“Mhm. I’m fine Rin, how about you?” You glanced at your boyfriend whose gaze was fixed on you as he tries to make sure that the blanket was covering your entire upper body. That action alone made your body warm in heat, as you felt your insides melting on his simple action,

“Yup, all good here.” He assured but failed to hide how his breathing was getting shaky due to the coldness of the night breeze. Stubborn Rintaro, you thought.

Opening your arms, you patted your chest to signal him to come closer to you. Suna’s forehead formed a crease as he was trying to understand what you were trying to imply but he finally got it when he moved closer to you, leaning at the warm flesh of your body.

“You’re so warm,” he murmured beneath, sniffing your neck that made you giggle because his breath was tickling your skin.

You and Suna, your boyfriend of 8 years, were so busy these days due to your different lines of work and as well as some adulting things that the both of you had to fulfill. It was indeed very hard to find time with each other and most of the time, your schedule was conflicted. Despite those, both of you still try to find ways to be with each other such as updating and doing video chats but still, it was hard.

There were days when you felt empty and you just wanted to hug Suna but couldn’t. There were always times when Suna just wanted to pepper you with kisses and do things with you but again, couldn’t. That’s why tonight, when your schedule finally met an end, Suna did not hesitate to grab this chance to be with you.

“God, I missed you so much.” Suna breathed out in your neck as his hands made their way to your waist, pulling you closer to him. You felt the desperation in his voice, making your heart ache because you felt the same.

“I missed you so much too, Rintaro.” Grabbing his chin, you pulled his head up to lean for a soft, warm kiss that later turned into a more passionate and heated one.

Parting away from each other’s lips, you were panting because it has been a while since your last kissed your boyfriend this passionately. Seeing how your face was illuminating in blush despite the dark skies, Suna chuckled at how beautiful his view is.

“Tell me something new.” going back to his comfortable position just right above your vital organ, Suna closed his eyes and flattened his eyes to hear how your heart beat.

“I recently figured out that I like taking cold showers right before I go to sleep.” 

Suna smiled at your random new discovery about yourself. He nodded, urging you to talk more about it. With his eyelids closed, your mellow voice echoing as you talk about something that piques your interest and your heart beating calmly, rhyming with his, Suna realized he felt so much better with you. Despite being together for a long time, he still craves for you. He still long for you. You are his one and only rest in this tiring world. One of the many things that pushes him to become a better person and the only person he wanted to share his surname with. At ten o'clock, Suna realized that you're the only one who can make him feel like he's at ease and home.
