Warnings: smoking, drinking, crying, mentions of sex, self sabotage, depression, suicidal thoughts, mentions of debating suicidal (it’s mentioned a few times. Please heed the warning if this triggers you), angst, angst, more angst, and being hopelessly in love with Sir Jacob Kiszka.
~This one is a lot, but I am very proud of how it turned out.
~
You and Jake had something special. Something that only comes once in a lifetime. Everyone watched you two, and wished for what you had. He loved you more than himself. More than his iced cold whiskey after a show. More than his beloved guitar. Honestly if you were to need him mid-show he’d drop everything, and run right off the stage for you. He was always running for you. Always looking for you everywhere he went. All you had to do was say his name, and he was there. He was always there. No matter what. You were truly his first priority. His first choice. His first love …. His only love.
You gave it all up. Things got hard, and you ran away. You fucking left it all behind. Your picture perfect life left in a daze. Although it wasn’t all your fault you still blamed yourself. Jake was busy all the time. Between tour, interviews, and traveling. You began fighting all the time. Every little thing was an argument.
You had your last argument in an cold hotel room. You got physical with each other for the first and last time. He never hurt you. He would never dream of it, but when you had enough you landed a smack against him. He grabbed your arms harder than he meant. You left that night, and you’ve regretted your life ever since. Running was worst decision you’ve ever made. How could you leave him? How could you hurt him when he’s treated you so sweetly. You’ve wanted to call you really did. Was it fear that stoped you? Fear of him hating your guts for what you did. You’d rather live in this unknowing pain than bare the thought.
“Jake wake up you’ve been asleep all day” Josh tried to wake his twin. They’ve found themselves in yet another hotel room. “Jake come on. The shows in a couple hours” he said opening the windows, and nudging Jake.
“Cancel it what’s the fucking point?” he said, and you could smell the whiskey on his breath. To see Jake so hateful towards his passion hurt Josh. ‘You drug me into this damn band, and you don’t even want it’ was the thought that repeated in Josh’s mind.
“Jake your drunk get the hell up” Josh said pulling the covers off, and throwing them on the floor. “I’m not doing it again Jake. I’m tired of this. Get the fuck out of the bed” Josh left slamming the door behind him. Where he was going? He didn’t know, but he needed some fresh air. He headed outside to walk the city.
There you were in the local park with your dog, having no idea they were in your town. Josh stumbled into park. The nature fascinating him, and catching his interest. That curly headed boy you loved so much came into your field of vision. As much as he’s changed over three years you knew it was him. “Josh!” You shouted.
He looked around confused, assuming it was another fan. Then he spotted you waving at him “no fucking way”. You bolted after him, and your dog chased you. “What are you doing here?” He pulled you in for a warm, and welcoming hug.
“I actually live here now. What are you doing here?”
“Got a show tonight darling. I missed you”
“I’ve missed all of you dearly. How is everyone?”
“Let me buy you a drink and we’ll catch up”
Meanwhile Jake is unaware of Josh’s discovery, but he knew you were there. He could feel a change in the air … He could feel you. For some reasons things didn’t seem so bad. For the first time in a while he got himself up, and took a shower. He brushed out his tangled hair, and cleaned himself up. Throwing on his favorite pants, and a button down shirt. Complete with some expensive cologne that he can’t remember where it came from.
Josh told you everything you missed in the past three years. You longed to be there for it all. Finally you asked the question that’s been eating at you since the conversation started. “So” you took a drink preparing yourself. “How is he?”
“Jake? Oh he’s fine. Still Jake I suppose”
“Is he? That’s good” you took another drink.
“Do you believe me when I say that he’s ‘fine’?” He said using his fingers as quotation marks.
“I want to yes. Is it white lie Joshua?”
“It’s a big fat fucking lie. He’s not fine. He hasn’t been fine since that night, but that’s not your problem. It’s just hard taking care of him when he doesn’t want to care for himself”
“I miss him a lot. I hate myself for leaving him. I’m not doing so good myself. I don’t even know myself anymore. It’s like I’m a stranger in my own body. The world seems so dark without him”
“I’m sorry dear. Jake isn’t much better. As much as I’d love to lie, and tell you he’s happy. He’s not at all”
You wanted to tell him the reason for your outing this morning. The true reason why you were there, but you couldn’t. How could you look him in the face, and tell him you didn’t want to live. How could you tell him hours before you were really debating on staying on this Earth. You could see him reacting strongly. You already knew the things he would say. Maybe even shed a tear with you. He’s already dealing with a lot, and you can see it in his eyes. You just couldn’t do it.
“What’s the matter?” He could still read you well.
“It’s just a lot, but I’m okay” lair how could you? He sees straight through it you know he does. He sighs, but doesn’t pry. Instead he simply just changes the subject.
“Have you loved another?”
“Never”
“Never? Not once?”
“Hook ups don’t count. Some of them look like him, but there never him”
“He could say the same darling. I don’t know if it’s a good idea to see him”
“What why not? Please don’t don’t this-”
“I’m not taking him away from you. Just listen to me. He’s not well dear. I wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t true. Come see me after the show, and I’ll think about it. Maybe all he needs is you, but I’m holding back for a reason”
“I think I know why, and I understand. Do you promise you’ll think about it” he’s hesitant because if you left again he knows it would kill Jake. There’s no way in hell he would make it out alive. Just the thought of it makes Josh want to crawl away and cry.
“Would I ever lie to you? I just need what’s best for Jake. I’m sure you understand”
“You so good to him Josh. I wish I had someone like you. Caring for me the way you care for Jake”
“That person is in a hotel room about a mile away. Like I said meet me after the show okay?”
You agreed, and said your goodbyes. Returning to your home to find something nice to wear. What used to be Jake’s favorite dress seems like a perfect fit. Josh headed back to the hotel to find his brother. “Jake you better be out of-”
“Yeah” was all he said.
“Feel good today?”
“I suppose so. Where’d you go?”
“Oh ya know for a walk”
“Where’d you go? Terrible liar you are”
“The bar. I’m glad your feeling better today”
He just nodded his head. Josh sighed knowing it’s taking everything out of him not to tell Jake. ‘Your lovers back! Your lovers back! She’s here you don’t have to be sad anymore! Please don’t be sad anymore. She’s here, and she loves you!’he wanted to shout it at him. To see Jake smile for the first time in three whole years. To see his face light up like it once did before. Instead he stayed quiet, and went on about his business. “Can you go check if sam is ready?” He asked Jake.
You did just as Josh said, and after the show he snuck you backstage. “I need you to be really quiet, and not let him hear you. Walls are paper thin darling” he said locking the door behind him. “I need you to answer me completely honest”
“Okay what’s up?”
“Your gonna stay?”
“A part of me died that day. I can’t go through this again. I fucking miss him Josh! I would go through hell again just to hold him one more time. I’d break all my bones if that’s what he wanted. If he asked for the moon I’d bring it to him. The stars too. He’s my world Josh need him back. I need his love. I need his touch. I need him Josh I need him. This morning I didn’t want to live any longer without him. The scary part is I almost fucking did it. That’s why I was at the park. I needed air. I needed to breath. Moments before you saw me I was crying on a park bench. Embarrassing I know, but it’s the truth.
“Oh darling no. No sweet girl no”
You broke into tears, and Josh comforted you with a hug. Like you predicted tears started to fall from his own eyes. “We need you here. You belong here. I am so fucking proud of you. Your here. Your alive. To know that life has been so terrible to you that you questioned living. It makes me want to hide away, and shelter you from every bad thing. I know I didn’t tell you this enough, but I love you. I really love you, and I don’t want you to be in pain anymore. Your safe now, and in a few moments everything will be okay again. I promise you. I know how bad your struggling. I see Jake everyday, and it just gets worse. I just want to see him happy again. Your the only solution my darling. I haven’t seen him smile in three years. He’s never excited about anything. He doesn’t have anything to talk about, and he always drunk. Always. When he does speak it’s either to cuss me out, or it’s about you. I know how bad things are, and I want to see you feel okay again too”
“What does he say about me?” You asked as Josh wiped your tears.
“It always starts angry. He’s angry because he wants to be happy again, but he can’t be. Your the light in his life. Then he starts to act like he’s angry with you. Sometimes he’ll cuss you out too. Then he’ll start to cry, and your name is all he knows. When I try to comfort him he’ll ask for you. I’ll say “she’s not here Jake”, and he’ll remember that your gone. He’ll start to think of you, and how he loves you so deeply. He’ll tell me some stories about the two of you before it hurts to much. Normally ends with him crying himself to sleep or getting so drunk he can’t feel you lingering”
“How could I do this to him? Your positive he wants to see me?” You asked trying not to lose your control.
“Come with me”
Josh knocked on Jake’s dressed room, and an annoyed “what?” came with it.
“Can I come in? I have someone you might want to talk to”
‘Could it be her?’. Jake went quiet, and Josh opened the door. There he stood with a cigarette in his fingers. His face dropped, and neither one of you moved. You’ve looked for him in every room, but now he’s here. A rush of adrenaline flowed through his veins. He feels alive for the first time, and all you had to do was walk into the room. Color has returned to his pale face. His eyes once grey, and gloomy now glowing in your light.
You both just stood there questioning if this was real. You broke the cement that glued you to the floor, and ran once again. Straight into his arms this time. Josh knew everything was finally better, and left shutting the door behind him. Letting his back rest against the shut door. His hand covered his mouth as he began to cry once more. Crying because Jake’s gonna be okay again. Because he knows all is well now that your here. Tonight he’ll fall sleep without a single worry. He’ll drift away knowing his brothers happy. Knowing he won’t have to make himself sick from worrying. Or staying up half the night waiting for Jake to come back with some girl that looks similar to you. He’s safe, and Josh can finally breath again.
You gripped, and pulled at each other like this was a dream you were going to wake up from. His hair got longer, he still wears those same old jeans, and he still smells like home.
“I’ve missed you” was all you could manage to say.
“My girl” he kissed your forehead. “Oh my girl”
You buried yourself in his neck fighting back tears. “I thought I’d never see you again. I wanted to call I really did”
“Shh shh it’s okay. I promise”
After all you put him through he’s still forgiving. The pain he’s been in for the three years was nothing just to feel you again. He’s willing to forget this ever happened just to keep you in his arms forever.
“I love you ya know? Time hasn’t changed it a bit”
“I love you too Jake”
His lips were locked on yours immediately. You pulled at each others hair, and the collars of your shirt. Trying desperately to get closer to each other. “Jakey”
“God I’ve missed you calling me that”
“I missed you. I missed you so much”
“I’ve miss you to my love. Do the others know your here?”
“Only Josh”
“Assuming he found you when he went on his supposed ‘walk’ the morning” he said holding your face in his hands.
“Well to be fair he was on a walk, and I found him”
“You found us. You came home. God I’ve missed you. Every day when I wake up your on my mind, and it stays that way till I sleep. Even in my sleep you haunt my dreams every night”
Lips crashing against each others once more. Emotion running through you both. “Why’d you leave me baby?”
“I don’t know Jacob. I don’t know”
His hand wrapped around your neck, and he kissed you hard. “Don’t leave again” his eyes began to water
“I’m here Jake. I’m not going anywhere my love”
He brought you to the small couch in the corner. Tangled up into each other, kissing his neck, and hands wandering each other’s bodies. Wordlessly you agreed to save it for later. Your felt tired like you haven’t slept in years. As you laid on your lover your eyes began to fell heavy. Jake laid their wide awake wondering how you were here. It didn’t feel real, and he held on to you just in case he woke up from this dream.
Josh came back later to tell Jake everyone was headed out. You were passed out on his chest completely unaware. “We’re fixing to leave” Josh whispered at the door.
“Alright” he woke you up gently. “Time to go sleepy girl”
You and Jake took a drive, and enjoyed the city lights. After you hit the bar that was in the lobby, and headed back to the hotel room. Everyone was gathered in the twins room talking about the show.
“Yeah I know. Did you hear how bad I fucked that up?” Josh belted out laughing far louder than he needed to.
Jake swiped the card, and the opened the door. You laughed almost as loud as Josh. As the alcohol hit your system everything was just so damn funny.
“Is that … her?” Sam asked confused.
“Sam look at Jake of course it’s her” Danny knowing immediately by Jake’s smile that it was indeed you.
“Y/n! Y/n! It’s you! Your back!” He shouted.
“Oh my god I’ve missed you Sammy”
“Good to have you back” Danny hugged you tight. You let your self go limp in his arms. “Someone’s drunk huh?”
“Just a little bit Danny”
“Josh check out this record I bought” Sam said already distracted.
“Let’s hear it brother”
It was a soft jazz album of a band you’ve never heard of. Jake’s eyes were fixated on you as you spoke to Danny. He reached out his hand, and you grabbed it with a giggle. He danced around the room with you, spinning you round and round. Stumbling all over the place, and tripping over each others feet. Josh watched in awe as a smile never left Jake’s face.
A little while later after the chatter quieted you collapsed onto the bed. Josh motioned Jake to come to him. They went out to the balcony “I’m proud of you Jacob”
“Thank you for taking care of me for so long. You could of kicked me to the curb. Or let me quit my job, but you didn’t. I’ll never be able to repay you, but know I wouldn’t be here without you”
“I promised you I’d always be here for you. I love you man”
“I love you too bud” they shared a hug before Jake followed you to the bed.
“Tying to escape?” you joked peeking your eyes open at him.
“Now ma’am I thought you were asleep” Jake said kissing your forehead.
You shook your head, and he joined you in the bed. You cuddled up on his side, threw your leg and arm over him, and began to fall asleep.
“Promise we’ll stay like this forever?”
“For infinity my love. I’ll find you in every universe I live I promise”
“I love you Jakey”
“I love you too my girl”

This is the way he watches you from across the bar, nursing whatever little drink he had decided on. A soft roll of his eyes as he watched you flirt with the man that had been making eyes at you all night. “It’s just for funsies. Isn’t your best friend allowed to have some fun?” You cooed, ruffling his hair before sliding off of the bar stood and sauntering over to the man across the room. Sam’s blood boiled as he watched you drape your body over the man’s and he pushed himself to stand quickly, making his way over to where you were. He snaked his arm around your waist, pulling your attention to him and the darkness in his eyes told you everything you needed to know. “Hey bud, I’m glad my girl kept you company but it’s time she comes back where she belongs.” He all but growled, tugging you off of the man and maneuvered you in the direction of the door. “Playing big girl games gets you big girl punishments, just wait til we get home.” You giggled at the sinister undertones in his voice as he led you in the direction of the car.

Hiraeth - Danny Wagner x FReader
Tumblr media
Hiraeth: a deep longing for a home to which you cannot return
Summary: You thought life would hurt less if you broke off your painful long distance relationship, but it turns out that’s quite the opposite, and now you have to fight to reclaim the home you once had in him.
Warnings(i guess?): language, breakup, angst to comfort, happy ending bc I’m a softie
“You can’t lay in bed forever. Your boss is bound to fire your ass if you don’t get it together, babe.”
You looked up at your best friend as she stood above you. She was right. You were a grown woman, and here you were wallowing in bed over a breakup that happened two weeks ago.
“Just leave me alone. I appreciate you trying to help, but I just need to be alone.” You grumbled and rolled over.
Things had been okay for a while. Right after the breakup, you had went about life as normal. That lasted for about a week. Then you started realizing that you felt so much worse than you had before you ended your two year relationship with Danny.
It made sense to breakup. He was a drummer in a famous band, which meant he was always gone, and you felt the connection between the two of you fading. It took a lot of debating, but you finally came to the conclusion that you should end it.
Now you were starting to think maybe the connection hadn’t been fading, but you had just stopped trying to make it work.
“Please just get dressed and go get some coffee with me. I need to see you get out of the apartment. You’ve been holed up in here for a week.” Your friend pleaded.
“Are you really not going to leave me alone?” You sighed, turning to face her again.
“Nope.” She stated firmly. She was a law student, and very very good at getting her way.
“Fine.” You pulled the cover back and crawled out of bed. “Let’s get a coffee then.”
She grimaced and scanned your rumpled appearance. “How about you shower and change first?”
You looked down at yourself and accepted that she was right again. Another wave of sadness hit you as you thought about how you let yourself get in this state. You had to fix things.
An hour later, you were showered and dressed and on your way to get coffee. You made sure to put some effort into your appearance because you thought it might make you feel better. It didn’t, but at least you didn’t look as bad as you felt.
“Isn’t this better than staying in a fetal position under your comforter?” Your friend sighed and took a sip of her iced latte.
You shrugged and sipped your own drink. “I don’t know. I guess.”
She shook her head. “You can’t keep wallowing. I love you, but this is not healthy.”
“I’m not wallowing!” You fumed, but she raised and eyebrow and you caved. “Okay, maybe I’m wallowing, but what else am I supposed to do? I royally fucked up with Danny, and now I go home to an empty apartment from a job I hate, and I feel so lost. I don’t know what my endgame is anymore.”
“I keep saying you should call him! If you feel this bad and you genuinely think the breakup was a mistake, you two should talk about it. At the very least, you’ll have closure.” She folded her arms and leaned back in her chair.
You ignored the growing uneasiness in your stomach. “I don’t think I can just call him up and say ‘sorry I dumped you, but I still love you and I fucked up’ out of the blue.”
Your friend leaned over and put a hand on your arm. “Listen, babe, I’m gonna level with you right now. I have not liked any of the guys you’ve dated before, except for Danny. He’s a good one, and if you think there’s a chance to save things and if that’s what you really want, I think you should try.”
“But it’ll still be long distance, and clearly that didn’t work before.” You huff.
“I’m not going to tell you how you should conduct your relationships, but I will say that he did make an effort to visit you and call you. I know you, and I know that you like to shut down when you’re hurting. When you called me and said you felt like you were in a rough patch, I could tell that you were already telling yourself it was over. All I’m saying is that if you both really try, I think maybe you could make it work.”
You looked down at the drink in your hands. She did have a point about the shutting down. It was a defense mechanism that you put in place after one too many douchebags treated you like shit, but it honestly wasn’t fair that you deployed it on Danny.
He sent you flowers when he couldn’t be home in person. He called you almost every day, and texted if he couldn’t. He flew home to see you as often as possible. He was a good person. You were just scared.
You couldn’t be scared if you wanted him back. He felt like home to you, and you’d never felt so alone with him gone. If you wanted to change things, you had to fight. What was that thing his brother Josh liked to say? ‘Fuck fear…’ something something? Whatever, you just had to be brave and go fix the mess you made.
——————
That’s how, several hours later, you found yourself just outside of Nashville. The drive was long, but you were a little grateful it gave you some time to plan your speech. You would’ve bought a plane ticket, but you couldn’t really drain your savings, so the drive it was.
Danny had a place near Nashville, like the rest of the band. He didn’t stay there too often, only when he had work. He mostly stayed at your apartment when he was off, but you still knew where to find his place. You just hoped he’d be there when you showed up.
You pulled in the driveway and shut off the engine. Before you could talk yourself out of it, you forced your door open and made yourself walk up to the door. You came all this way to talk to him, and you couldn’t let yourself get too in your head.
You rang the bell and waited. There was a long moment of silence, but then you heard a light shuffling inside. You knew you should’ve been relieved that he was home, but your heart seized up.
It’s just Danny. You’ve talked to him for thousands of hours. You love him. No matter how many times you repeated that in your head, you still felt like you could either pass out or burst into tears.
The door swung open and you were met with the sharp brown eyes of the man you still loved.
“Hi,” you croaked, practiced speech immediately leaving your head.
As he stared at you, his eyes seemed to soften slightly. God, you loved his eyes. Oddly enough, you even missed them.
“What do you want?” He practically whispered.
You swallowed thickly. It seemed you were leaning closer to the burst into tears side of things, and you were trying so hard not to do that. “To talk. If that’s okay.”
He nodded and stepped aside so you could enter. He shut the door quietly and led you into his living room. It seemed a little messier than usual, and it looked like maybe he’d been sleeping on the couch.
“Do you, uh, need anything? I’m guessing you drove and I know it’s a long trip.” He asked.
“No, I’m good.” You shook your head, trying to keep your voice from quivering.
He sat down on the chair opposite yours and leaned forward with his elbows on his knees. “So what did you want to talk about?”
You hated how nervous you were, and how unprepared and scattered it was making you feel. “I just…I don’t know where to even start…I guess I should start with I’m sorry. I’m so sorry Dan, I’ve never regretted anything more in my life. I ran from you instead of talking. I’ve been a shitty girlfriend, and that wasn’t fair. I’m just so sorry for all of it…and I miss you. I miss you so badly that I don’t know why I thought ending things would fix my hurting. I messed everything up so much, and I wish more that anything that I wouldn’t have…wouldn’t have…have left…”
You broke off the end of your rant unwillingly as sobs took over and you couldn’t keep going. You felt pathetic, and you were sure that’s what he was thinking too. Here you were, having driven all the way to Nashville, groveling and crying in his living room. He had to think you were a crazy ass mess.
In the midst of your mental spiral, you felt the seat dip down next to you. Warm, strong arms wrapped around you and pulled you close. Danny didn’t say anything for a while. He just held you against his chest and let you cry, which you honestly needed.
“I miss you too.” He murmured into your hair.
You pulled back enough to look up at him. “You do?”
His own eyes were a little watery, but he seemed to be doing a better job of holding it in than you were. “I do. So much, honey.”
“Do you think we could try again? I know I need to work on a lot of things with myself, but I promise I will be better. I won’t shut down and I’ll make a better effort at communicating. I won’t take it for granted. I love you so much Dan, you’re my home and I can’t lose that.” You met his eyes, hoping and praying that you had a chance.
In answer, he leaned forward and kissed you. It had been entirely too long since he’d pressed his lips to yours, and you felt yourself melt into him.
He broke away, just for a second. “I love you too. I know I travel a lot, but it only feels like coming home when it’s you I get to come back to.”
You felt a great relief sweep through you and a fresh wave of tears began to trickle down your cheeks. This man was your whole world and you intended on spending the rest of your life making sure he knew that.
“Hey, don’t do that. It breaks my heart when you cry.” He swiped some tears away with a brush of his thumb.
“They’re good tears. Not like the psycho begging tears from earlier.” You added with a shaky chuckle.
He chuckled softly with you before pressing a kiss to your cheek. “I don’t think those were ‘psycho tears’.”
“Really? I drove all the way here to ask for you to take me back, that doesn’t seem crazy to you?” You laughed, snuggling into his side.
He seemed to hold you closer too. “Love makes you do crazy things sometimes, I guess. But honestly, no, I don’t think it was crazy.”
“Why not?”
He nodded towards the front door. “See that bag? I packed that right before you got here. I have a plane ticket to go see you for a flight that leaves in an hour.”
Before you started to cry again, you leaned up and kissed him again. It brought you some comfort to know for sure, even though you already knew deep down, that you’d always come back to one another.

How about Sammy getting all excited because you’re giving him a special gift you’ve been hiding from him? 🥰
Tumblr media
yes. yes. YES. its his birthday, we've got to do this one.
Preparation had begun many weeks ago, when you first wrote out the plan for how you wanted Sammy's birthday night to go. Fairy lights, dinner on the porch, and of course, his birthday gift! The whole shebang. While you had begun becoming rather reserved and secretive as the days inched closer to his special day, Sam grew more and more anxious to know what was going on.
"Oh, come on, Doll, Can't you just tell me what's going on?" He begged, leaning against the kitchen counter as you made breakfast one day. It was the week before his birthday, and he had been growing rather anxious to know what you were up to.
"You can wait a week." You giggled, flipping the pancakes that sizzled on the skillet.
Well before his actual birthday, you treated him like a prince. In all honestly, you couldn't help yourself. He was always so sweet to you, it was in your natural nature to give him special treatment, even if it was a week before his big day. You made him breakfast, took him out on little day trips, and made sure to cuddle up close to him when the night came.
He groaned gently, his brows furrowed as he crossed his arms. "Could I at least get a piece of bacon for the troubles?"
You shook your head with a laugh, handing him one of the prepared slices that you had already finished cooking. Ever since you had pledge to go vegan with Sam, you had been practicing all of his favorite recipes. You found that cooking rice paper with certain seasonings and syrups grew to taste like your favorite piece of breakfast cuisine.
Once you finished up breakfast, the two of you sat and ate, listening to the record that ran in the next room over. "Is it.. a surprise party with the boys?"
"Nope."
"A camping trip?"
"Nope"
"Is it a--"
"Samuel. Hush."
"Finee." He grumbled, finishing off his orange juice. You admired him as the sun from the window shined down on his tanned skin. How did you get so damn lucky? He was like a dream come true, and you had the pleasure of spoiling him when they time finally came.
April 3rd.
It was finally time. The day started off just as any other day had-- the two of you tangled in each other's arms, a nice warm breakfast, cuddling on the couch. When the afternoon finally neared, you sent Sam out to get some wine of his choice from the store to get a chance to set up. The second he had left the house, you were stringing up the fairy lights, finishing off dinner, and setting up a nice candlelit table for the two of you. You had slipped on your dress just before he had arrived. As you heard the jingling of his keys just outside the door, you stood, readily awaiting his entrance.
As the door finally creaked open, he stopped, looking around in awe. You could hardly tell if the look on his face was confusion or absolute shock. "Happy Birthday, Darling.."
Sammy shut the door behind him, his lips curving into a gentle smile. He could hardly get a word out as he looked around, holding the bottle of wine to his chest, "Baby.." He finally got out. His eyes finally met with yours as he stepped forward. "This is beautiful.. Thank you.." He said gently, his open hand wrapping around your waist, leaning down to kiss you gently.
As you slowly pulled away, you took his hand in yours, guiding him to the dining table which was elegantly set. "Anything for the birthday boy!" You grinned, sitting down opposite of him.
"Seriously, honey, thank you." He smiled, admiring you as you began to pour each of you a glass of wine.
The two of you began to dig in to dinner-- Sam leaning back in his chair out of pure delight. "This is wonderful.." He hummed gently, savoring each bite of his meal. "I'm glad that you like it. I've had this all planned out for nearly a month now.." You explained, taking a sip from your glass.
Finally, as the two of you finished off your supper, you stood, Sam's eyes following you intently. You went to the nearby shelf that held all of his favorite records, pulling one down before setting it on the turn-table. "Music and dinner?" He asked curiously, perking up as he watched you place the needle. "You bet." You hummed, walking over to the table, holding a hand out to him. "Come on, Birthday Boy.." He looked up to you for a moment before taking your hand, following as you led him to the livingroom. You began to sway with him gently to the beat of the music.
"This is nice.." He whirred, placing his hands on your hips gently, following your lead. As the two of you swayed together, you rested your head against his shoulder, smiling wide. He left a gentle kiss against the top of your head, humming along to the tune.
"I love you, Sammy.."
"I love you, darling." He murmured, holding you close. You listened as he began to softly sing along to the lyrics of the James Taylor album. His soft voice vibrated against you as he rested his cheek against the top of your head. As the song slowly came to an end, you looked up to him. "This isn't the last of your celebration." You teased gently. His eyes widened as he whined, "I knew this wasn't it! You've been too sneaky lately.."
You slowly shifted away, gesturing for him to sit on the couch. "What is it?" He asked curiously. You could tell that he was attempting to be contained, but his excitement was about to burst. "Oh, come on! Just tell me already!" He begged. You walked upstairs for a moment, leaving him drenched in suspense. Finally, you came back to the living room, carrying a large box with you. Setting the wrapped box down in front of him, he raised a brow. "You are so devious." He chuckled.
"Go ahead, darling. Open it."
Without any hesitation, Sam tore the wrapping paper from the rectangular box, throwing it off to the side. As he ripped back the paper, a large logo was revealed that read 'Fender'. His eyes lit up as he looked up to you. "Is this what I think it is?"
"Keep going!!" You encouraged, watching as he opened up the cardboard. Once the box was open, he took the foam exterior off, exposing the new tan jazz bass beneath. The gleam of excitement twinkled in his eyes as he picked it up, admiring the new instrument.
"Baby, this is amazing! I've been looking at this one for months now!" He practically squealed, looking over to you. "Thank you so much.. For all of this, Really. I couldn't ask for a better birthday." He assured.
You leaned over, pulling him into a gentle kiss before he escaped away to test out his new bass.

Jake Kiszka Blurb.
warnings: none!
jake kiszka
a small cabin in the woods.
late october.
the leaves had just reached peak of the color changing season when you and your best friend jake decided to hike away into his parents cabin for a little getaway.
you were sitting on the front porch of the cabin, perched on a wooden swing his parents had installed when the boys were just kids. jake had been your best friend since you were in kindergarten and you’ve grown up inseparable ever since, so it wasn’t that shocking for him to bring up this small little getaway.
you were in a long sleeved t-shirt and a pair of jeans, but yet there was still goosebumps plastered on your skin from the chill in the air. you rubbed up and down your arms with your hands , trying to warm them up. you must’ve been lost in thought because when the swing dipped beside you, it startled you making you jump a bit. comfort warming over your body when you realized it was just jake.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.” he let out one of his world famous chuckles, before reaching his hand over that was filled by a small coffee cup. “Want a sip?” you responded with a eager nod, gently taking the cup from him. bringing it up to your lips, you took a small sip. handing it back to him, feeling the warmth of the liquid in your belly. “Thank you,”
he took notice to the coolness of your hands when they brushed his when he grabbed the cup back. he stood up from the swing , “I’ll be back, one second.” he walked through the front door of the cabin to leave you alone with your thoughts once again.
the truth is, jake makes everything better. you had always seen him as just your best friend until a couple months ago, when you realized you were falling for him. would you tell him that? oh absolutely not. that would ruin simply everything and you couldn’t dare risk that.
but you couldn’t help but feel the way you do, it was the small things honestly, they way he protected you with all his heart. the way he made sure you were okay all the time. he was your saving grace when times got hard and you could never risk losing that, ever.
“Here, stand up.” his voice instantly shook you from those thoughts. you stood up, complying to what the boy said. he had his arm stretched out, a piece of worn out, red and black flanneled material was in his grasp and he was handing it straight to you.
you took it from him, putting the soft material on your body. taking in the warmth of the flannel, you watched him place a blanket around his shoulders. he sat down on the swing, another cup of coffee accompanied his on the small table beside the swing.
he opened the blanket for you, motioning for you to come sit close to him. “Come here, this will warm you up.” the butterflies were erupting in your tummy as you went and sat down. he pulled you into his side and wrapped the blanket around you tightly, he handed you the other cup of coffee and you held it deep in your grasp.
you could hear the taps of his boot on the wooden porch as he swung you guys back and forth as gently as possible. the warmth from the coffee, the blanket and his body heat was enough to keep you comfortable.
you could feel his eyes on you, almost as if he was trying to study out what you were thinking. he cleared his throat, giving you the hint to look up at him. you did so, making eye contact with his pretty brown eyes. he leaned down and pressed a warm and gentle kiss to your cheekbone.
your cheeks heated up, a small grin grew on his face once he saw. “Cute.” was the only word to leave his mouth before he gently went back to focusing on rocking the two of you in the swing.
your head laid gently on his shoulder as you closed your eyes, living and breathing in the moment you were having with him. never ever wanting it to end. you took a deep breath, reaching for his hand and intertwining your fingers reluctantly.
he watched as you did so, squeezing your hand tightly as a way of letting you know it was okay. you relaxed into him, letting your body finally be at ease with him by your side.

Friday - Jacob Kiszka
Tumblr media
summary: You and Jake are bored on a Friday night and need something entertaining to do. Jake comes up with a fun idea to make the night exciting.
warnings: oral sex, cursing, sexual situations MINORS DNA!!! 18+
pairings: Jake kiszka x reader
word count: ~2.7k
authors note: Hi!! This is my first time writing something so I hope you guys like it. It’s definitely not perfect but i’m eager to post it so I hope you all enjoy!
Every Friday felt the same. You sat on you and your boyfriend Jakes couch clicking through the same channels on the television, waiting for something to jump out. Jake could see the boredom on your face and decided he needed to do something about it. He approaches you and stands in front of the tv so he could block your view.
“Hey move out of my way ..” you demanded in frustration.
He puts his hands on his knees and crouches down to be eye level with you, “Oh what? So you can flip through thirty more channels until you give up and then go to sleep? That sounds fun!” he sarcastically jokes.
You roll your eyes and giggle, knowing he’s right. “We need to get out of this house and do something fun before I go crazy.”
A smirk comes over Jakes face. You can almost see the light bulb appear over his head. “I think I know a place we can go.”
Before you know it the two of you are dressed in club attire. You, wearing a short black silk dress and him in black skinny jeans and a loose white shirt buttoned so low that it seemed pointless that he even buttoned it at all.
Jake called an uber while you were getting ready and it seemed to be timed perfectly. The uber pulls up just as you look into the mirror and swipe a clear gloss over your lips. It was the finishing touch. You weren’t sure where you were headed but you knew it would be a good time. For starters, you would be with Jake and that alone ensured you’d be satisfied with the night. As you shove the gloss into your bag and look back at your reflection Jake comes up from behind you and wraps his arms around your waist.
He leans his chin on your shoulder and stares at you for about thirty seconds before opening his mouth and saying, “You know you’re the sexiest person i’ve ever seen, right?”
You look down at the ground with a smile on your face, trying to hide your red cheeks. He has always had a power over you, something that has never stopped even after three years of being together.
He then lifts his hand to your chin and forces it upwards so you are both making eye contact through the mirror.
“Don’t act so shy my love. I know you’re not shy.” He winks at you and grabs your hand, pulling you towards the uber. He gave you no time to react or rebuttal but by his attitude you knew tonight was going to be a wild ride.
After the twenty minute ride there, the two of you arrive at what looks to be a rundown hotdog joint. You become confused by your outfits and felt out of place. Jake saw the worry on your face and whispers into your ear.
“Trust me.”
You smile and shake your head in agreement because he’s never given you a reason not to.
He gets out of the uber first and then puts his hand out to give you some help. You grab his hand and jump out behind him, following his lead into the dirty looking establishment. Seconds after entering Jake guides you to the front counter and cashier. He looks at the worker and then knocks on the table below him three times. It seemed to be some sort of code because as a results the cashier guides the two of you to the back of the establishment to a shiny black door. While you and Jake stand there, the worker opens the door and puts out his arm, suggesting that you follow the steps down. Jake nods his head in appreciation and then grabs your hand, while beginning to descend down into the dark. But as you got deeper, you realized it wasn’t so dark after all. The room you were approaching was giving off different colored flashing lights. In addition to that you could hear music and people getting louder with each step you took. You quickly realized that some sort of club was awaiting the two of you below. As you touched down onto the floor and turn the corner your eyes meet one of the coolest places you’ve ever seen.
It was indeed a nightclub but it was covered with shiny black walls and furniture. Covering the walls was different colored neon signs with different phrases. In the center was a large bar covered in LED lights that flowed in and out of every color. To top it off there was a small glowing dance floor to the side filled with people moving to the rhythm of whatever song was playing.
Jake saw the amazement on your face. He leaned into your ear so you could hear him over the loud volume, “Josh told me about this place, I thought you’d like it. Now let’s get this night started.” He finishes off the sentence by slapping your ass with such force that it made you squeal. You didn’t mind that he did that in public, you wanted people to know that you were his. You were ready to loosen up and see where the night would take you.
Without even having enough time to process it, you were three vodka shots in and Jake was two tequila sodas deep. You both were feeling a buzz that allowed you to loosen up in all of the right ways. Jake was being even touchier than normal and you were loving every second of it.
As the two of you slam one last shot together the song Sex on Fire by Kings Of Leon starts playing over the speakers. You grab Jake by the bottom button of his shirt and slowly walk backwards guiding him onto the dance floor. He follows your lead and stares at you with lust in his eyes as his lips become slightly parted. When you enter the center of the dancing crowd you turn away from Jake and press your back side against his crotch. You start slowly dancing, teasing him with your movements. Jake joins in by swaying to the chorus and following the motion of your hips. You press your ass further back until you hear a slight moan exit Jakes mouth as it’s breathed into your ear. He then raises his hand up and places it around your neck, softly holding it but putting enough pressure to make it feel erotic.
“You better behave your self princess. If you don’t i’ll have to punish you .. right here, right now.” Jake whispers into your ear as he tightens his grip on your throat.
You bite your lip at the sound of his words and lean your head back onto his shoulder out of weakness. You take his words as a challenge that you won’t back down from. Instead of pulling away you guide your hand behind your back so that it’s touching his stomach. You gently glide your hand downwards until it’s met with the throbbing bulge that’s under his pants. Instead of grabbing Jake you slowly touch the area, allowing yourself to tease him. He sucks in a breath, as he wasn’t expecting such a delicate touch.
In one quick motion Jake takes your hand off of him and drags you to the back of the club and into the mens bathroom. You had no time to react but you knew you riled him up the way you intended to.
Out of three stalls, one was open and Jake took no time throwing your body into it, following you inside and locking the door shut.
Jake slams your body against the stalls wall. He pins both of your hands above your head with one of his hands and holds your mouth shut with his other.
“You were a naughty girl out there. I told you there would be consequences for your actions. Now you follow my lead and prove to me that you can be a good girl.”
You stare at him with anticipation as you can feel the heat in between your legs grow stronger.
“Do you understand me?” Jake practically spits at you.
You shake your head yes since his hands are blocking you from giving a verbal response.
He releases you from his grip and uses his hands to press down onto your shoulders, forcing you onto your knees. You’re eager to pleasure him so you go to start unbuttoning his jeans but he immediately grabs your hands to stop you in the motion.
“Uh uh.” Jake corrects. He guides his finger from the center of your neck to the tip of your chin, forcing your head up to look at him.
“Don’t be so eager baby. We’re doing things my way.”
He pulls the cross body purse off from your shoulder forcefully as you obey and watch. He somehow musters the force to rip the straps off, detaching them from the bag. Jake then bends down to your level, grabs your two hands and uses the strap to tie them behind your back. As he stands up straight again and you look at him in awe, practically dripping from witnessing him being so dominant and aggressive.
Jake, never breaking eye contact from you, unbuttons the top of his pants. He doesn’t go any further and instead just stares at you.
“I know how talented your mouth is… so use it.” Jake says insinuating that the only way you can get to him is by unzipping his pants with your teeth.
You lean forward, opening your mouth and then closing your teeth around the small silver zipper. Holding your balance and using the grip your teeth have on it, you slide the zipper down revealing his black boxers underneath. He was throbbing so intensely you could feel it against your lips. You pull back, thinking you’ve completed the task and look up at him.
Jake slightly giggles at you, “Well baby if you want to get inside you have to keep going.”
You now understand that he wants you to undress him using only your teeth. Just the thought of that scenario is making you hot before you even do it.
You lean into him and aggressively bite onto the top of his jeans. Using force, you tug them down until they fall to his ankles. You trail back up to his waist, making eye contact with his tightening underwear. Before biting at the waistline, you lick Jakes stomach from the top of his underwear to his belly button, following the trail of hair that’s placed there.
Jake let’s out a moan and pushes the hair out of your face to make eye contact with you. You, without breaking the eye contact, bite onto the edge of his underwear. You slowly bring them down while arching you back more and more as you get to the floor. Once you reach the bottom your head is at his feet but your ass stays higher than the rest of your body. Your dress rides up, revealing that you aren’t wearing underwear.
“Ugh you’re so good for me.” Jake moans out, clearly being affected by your actions.
You sit straight up again, still on both knees and bite your lip out of reaction to his words. You’re now making eye contact with his large cock, you wonder how you’ve ever managed to fit your mouth around it before.
Jake pets your hair out of your face with such pressure that your head has no choice but to fully angle up and look at him.
“I know you’ve been waiting for this baby. Now show me what you can do.” Jake smirks at you.
Without wasting any time, you lean up higher so you can wrap your mouth around his throbbing cock. You know it will be a harder task without using your hands. As you start bobbing back and forth at a fast rate, you soak him in your saliva. Jake grabs your hair and holds all of it in one of his hands, starting to force you to let him go deeper into your mouth. The erotic experience was soaking you to the point of you dripping down your leg but as he pushes deeper, your eyes begin to water. The tears flow so much to the point of you soaking your face.
“Oh princess you can take it,” Jake says. “Don’t be a cry baby. Suck it up and do what you’re told.”
Although your tears are still flowing you suck harder and move faster, doing anything to please him.
“Fuck baby you’re doing such a good job,” Jake throws his head back in weakness. “Oh baby I’m gonna cum, keep going.”
You keep your steady pace as you feel him begin to twitch. Before you know it your mouth his filled with warmth. You close your eyes and force the swallow, knowing that’s what Jake likes. You feel satisfied with your work, knowing Jake couldn’t last very long with your mouth around him.
Jake looks down at you, his chest is rising up and down at a fast rate after completing his climax. He wipes your mouth clean with his hands and looks at you in satisfaction.
“I love watching you suck my cock angel.” Jake says as he rubs your face.
He grabs the side of both of your shoulders and pulls you up so that you’re standing up again. He leans behind you and unties your wrists and brings your now sore hands to his mouth to place kisses on them.
Looking you in the eyes Jake wipes away the remaining tears from your face and says, “My beautiful cry baby, now it’s time for me to pleasure you.”
You’re unsure of what his ideas are because the stall is too small to do anything you are thinking of. But Jake then pulls your dress off of your body, only leaving you in your bra and he keeps his pants on the floor where you left them. He grabs under your arms and pulls up, suggesting that you jump and follow his lead. You wrap your legs around him so that your lower body is sitting on his hip. Just the bare touch of your core to Jakes skin makes your center heat up. He starts pushing his hip into your center and you let out a sigh at the pressure.
“Come on baby. Pleasure yourself on me.” Jake suggests to you.
Now that you got the idea you start following his motions and rocking yourself against his side. You move up and down and side to side, pleasuring yourself with his body. His rocking motions only help speed up the process. You start to feel the pressure in your stomach grow and let out a loud moan.
Jake quickly covers your mouth with one hand, “We’re in public baby, those noises are for me only.”
You don’t have the power to respond so you keep rocking against him. As you weaken, you wrap your arms around his neck and run your hands through his hair. You lean your head against his and breath heavily into his ear.
“That’s it baby, keep going. Finish for me.” Jake breathes out quietly.
“This feels so g- good.” You let out in a moan.
“You’re so wet for me princess. I love watching you unravel on me.”
You feel your climax approaching and start quickening your motion. Then suddenly your core abruptly explodes in a feeling of euphoria. Your body shakes and twitches as Jake is still pushing his side into you, teasing at the sensitive area. You slowly relax your body into his once you come down from the high. Once you stop twitching Jake puts you down allowing you to stand again. You look at his hip, and realize it’s now wet from your orgasm.
Jake grabs your face on both sides and pulls you in for a passionate kiss. When you both pull away you look at him and feel giddy. You turn your head to face his hand and kiss the inside of his palm.
“Was this Friday eventful enough for you?” Jake questions.
“I’d say i’m more than satisfied.” You grin back to him. “Maybe we should make this a Friday tradition.” You wink at him.

can you do the first kiss prompt “you just cant help yourself, can you?” with sammy <33
Tumblr media
You rolled your eyes, ignoring the sounds of drunken kiss noises that Jake was making towards you as Sam sat down next to you by the campfire. Ever since the band of brothers had helped you move (more like go through all of your things while you and Danny loaded the rented van) and found your seventh grade year book with a sparkly pink pen heart drawn around your best friend Sam’s photo, the second oldest Kiszka loved to rib you for it.
Sam leaned down, picking up a small pebble and flicking it at his brother, grinning when it thwacked him square in the forehead.
“One day, he’ll stop teasing you.” Sam said softly. You nodded, your fingernail scraping absentmindedly at the damp label on your beer bottle.
“Well it’s been two years now, so…” you trailed off with a shrug. Sam nodded, taking a swig from his own bottle, looking around the party. You watched the light from the flickering flames cast shadows and highlight his face as he moved. His long, slender nose leading a perfect ski slope to his plush lips. The way his hair had grown out again, shining healthily in the glow of flames. Truth be told, your crush on Sam, no matter how much you touted it was just a school girl thing, it was over that summer, you barely liked him that way anyway, had never stopped. In fact, it’d grown bigger since the seventh grade.
“Do you want to know an embarrassing Jake story? Finally make it even?” Sam quirked an eyebrow towards you. You nodded, scooting closer to him as he leaned in, holding up a hand to hide his lips as he started whispering. “Jake sneezed on stage so hard in Indiana, he had a huge trail of snot hanging down his nose to his lips. I think he thought it was sweat and he kept licking at it. Finally Josh saw it and told him, but it was a good half hour of loogie-face.” You giggled, imaging the suave Jake Kiszka with a gross string of snot on his face.
“That’s disgusting!” Sam laughed and nodded as you asked if that was the absolute truth. “Rockstars, they’re just like us, huh?”
“More than you know. How’s your new job going? My mom said she ran into yours at the store a few weeks ago, and she mentioned it.”
“It’s okay.” you nodded. You told him some small details, trying to make sure not to bore him with your average job. “Sorry it’s pretty boring to hear about.”
“No it’s not.” Sam shook his head. “I like hearing about your life any time I can.” your cheeks reddened and you could’ve sworn you saw Sam’s eyes flit down to your lips before coming back to your eyes. “I miss you…a lot. Sometimes I wish you knew how to play an instrument so we could’ve fit you in the band. Then I could be traveling the world with both my best friends.”
“It’d be cool, for sure.” you agreed, feeling deflated at him calling you just his best friend.
“Yeah, but then I think about how being that close to you, all the time, I wouldn’t be able to keep my hands off of you. We’d make everyone miserable, fighting making up, fighting again…”
“Wait, what?” You blinked rapidly at Sam as he smirked.
“You’re not the only one who drew hearts in their yearbook.” Sam winked. You felt so incredibly flustered, mouth opening and closing like a fish while your brain comprehended his words.
“I don’t believe you!” You gasped. “All this time I thought you thought of me as a sister, you broke my heart taking Jenny D. to the eighth grade formal, by the way.”
“I’m sorry. To be fair, she told me you were going with Mike S., so I only went with her because I thought you were going with him.”
“Yeah that was a mistake. He kissed me that night, my first kiss, and slobbered on me so badly I could still feel his spit on my chin after three washes.” you shook your head. “Man, you could’ve been my first kiss if we’d gone together…”
“Damn. I wish I had been. I at least wouldn’t have slobbered on you. Not until the third date, anyway.” Sam laughed, then paused, giving you a look that made it feel like everyone else around you both had disappeared. “We could still have a first kiss, though.”
“Sam, I think that boat sailed for both of us a long, long time ago.”
“Yeah but you and I have never kissed.” he smiled gently. “So if we kissed now, it would be a first.”
“Sam,” you breathed nervously.
“I know that after all these years, the first person I think of when I get home from tour is you.” he admitted. “My crush is still very much alive, is yours?”
“Yes.”
“Good.” and without another wasted moment, Sam leaned in, pressing his lips to yours. It was a small lingering kiss, but it was everything you had dreamed and imagined through the years. Fireworks in your stomach, tingles in your toes, a smile tugging at the corners of your puckered lips.
When you pulled apart, the firelight was being blocked by a figure, and you both looked up to see Jake smiling down at you both, his eyes hazy and unfocused.
“You just can’t help yourself, can you?” He asked, winking at you. “Man that crush is getting out of control.”
“Get lost, Jake.” Sam laughed, trying to gently move him away.
“You get lost!” Jake grunted back, not liking getting sassed by his baby brother.
“You know what, we will.” Sam took your hand, tugging you up and leading you around the other young man.
“Where are we going?” You asked as Sam led you to his car.
“A date.” he grinned, fishing his key from his pocket. “We have just over a decade of them we need to catch up on.”

It was a particular cold night in Nashville when Sam finally arrived home; the boys had gotten on tour last month, but due Josh catching a cold, and Jake suddenly falling ill with pneumonia, the boys had decided it was in everyone’s interest to cancel the upcoming shows.
After all the world went through the past few years, finally having the opportunity to hit to road again was like a sense of normalcy coming back. The four midwestern boys were thrilled to perform the masterpieces they had been working on during this crazy period in their lives; thrilled to be able to share their love and passion for their craft with their audience, to be able to reconnect with their fans face-to-face after so much time.
But as much as Sam loved what he did for a living, he wasn’t opposed to the idea of going back home for a few weeks, back home to you. Having growth accustomed to having you by his side almost twenty-four-seven, saying goodbye at the airport was agonizing to him; but now he was finally where his heart yearned to be.
As soon as he got the front door open and stepped inside your shared home, he threw his luggage, shoes and socks at the entrance, not caring much for the fact he was making a mess when he had much more important things on his mind.
He could hear the faint sound of some classic rock song coming from the living room, probably the place he’d be able to find you best. It was easily your favourite room in the house; the dark green walls that contrasted so beautifully with the dark wooded floor, and the mismatching carpets you thrifted with Sam last year were some of the things you loved most about it.
It didn’t take long for his eyes to find your figure on the couch. The soft, warm light the side lamp casted upon you nearly took his breath away; the way the mellow hue of orange illuminating the side of your face as your attention was on a book you held in hands. You were wearing one of his shirts, just a simple white button-up probably made out of linen. It was one of his favourites on you, the fabric reaching the beginning of your thighs and the first few buttons undone never failed to drive him crazy. He made sure his phone was on silent when he took a picture of the masterpiece in front of him before softly calling your name.
Never in all those years by your side had he seen you move your head that fast. The book you had been reading for hours was quickly forgotten and thrown on the floor before you hastily stood up. You weren’t able to hide your big eyes as you approached him before squeezing your arms around his body with such a force that didn’t only surprise him. It hadn’t been that much time since you last saw each other, but God, did it feel like an entire life time.
“You didn’t tell me you were coming today,” you softly spoke as you ran your nose along the soft skin between his neck and shoulder. The unmistakably Sam scent hit your nostrils and the feeling of finally being home warmed your heart to no end.
“I wanted to surprise my girl,” he whispered back to you. One of his hand played with the ends of your hair, even having missed the unpleasant feeling of your dry ends hitting his face during the nights his body would be glued to yours. “I missed you so much, darling.”
Sam’s hands moved from his hips up to your cheeks, squishing them together. His lips opened in a goofy, enamoured smile before they crashed against yours for the first time in weeks. “You have no idea how much I missed you.”
It had been a few good hours since Sam had gotten home now. You asked about the most memorable moments he’d experienced on tour so far while braiding his hair and he made sure to mention all the small details. He cuddled with you on the sofa while you told him about the commission you had been working on and the nice botanical garden you visited with some friends recently.
The burning need to be close to one another became such, the existence of the bed upstairs slipping both your minds. Longing stares and kisses had been shared ever since he so softly said your name all those hours ago, but the yearning for each other only diminished after the third round, not even fifteen minutes ago.
Sam had gotten up to get a damp towel to clean you up and get you something else to wear; his white button-up you had been wearing all day had gotten soiled during the second round.
You were laying on the floor, the soft material of the carpet brushed softly against the skin of your back. The warmth emanating from the fireplace embraced your body almost in the same way Sam’s body would under the covers of your bed.
Sam had taken an sudden interest to the book you were reading before his sudden return home made you thrown it blindly to the floor. Picking up the book, he sat on the couch and began reading the synopsis on the back. He hadn’t read the book before and he didn’t know the author at all, but he remembered some parts you read to him during one of your late night calls.
Your seemingly sleeping figure suddenly moved, taking Sam’s attention away from the book back to you. The soft glow of the fireplace reflected on the white silky material of your strap dress in a way that he couldn’t help but let his eyes wander adoringly at the sight in front of him.
A lighter and the clay ashtray he made for your birthday last year were placed closed to your head, where he had put it right before going upstairs to get you something clean to wear. The music emitting from your phone combined with the way you were laying there on your side, right hip digging into the carpet and torso slightly curved to his direction, the dress hugging your figure in a way that made your ass stand out – that whole image made him dizzy with love.
He wasn’t big on posting about your relationship on the internet, preferring to keep the special moments you two shared between you and the people he loved and trusted the most, far away from possible malicious comments. But every once in a while, in moments like this, he couldn’t help but want to share the love he felt for you with the rest of the world.
Sam looked around for his phone, finding it under a pillow next to him. He opened up his camera and dragged his finger across the screen to lower the contrast, adding to the cosy winter vibes he was going for.
The guitar solo emitting from your phone faded away slowly as he captured the moment. Your hand reached next to you and Sam’s heart warmed at the sight in front of him. Your fingertips found what they were looking for and you took the joint from its resting place and propped it between your lips before reaching for the green lighter next the ashtray. The same guitar chords slowly faded back in, filling Sam’s ears and making him realise it wasn’t the second time he heard it that night.
“Is All Along the Watchtower by Hendrix your new obsession?” He joked in a soft tone. He was still filming the sight in front of him and didn’t want his voice to cover the song. He was conscious enough to make sure he wasn’t filming in a weird angle but his mind was also partly elsewhere, stuck in some kind of weird limbo of adoring thoughts of you and possible Instagram captions for when he’d decide to post the video later on.
“It’s so good, I swear he put crack in it.” You joke before taking a hit of the joint. Now facing the ceiling, you released the smoke. “I’m definitely obsessed with it, but not as much as I am with the feeling of your beard scratching the insides of my thighs.”
This made Sam choke on his own spit and quickly lock his phone – he was planning on posting the video on his Instagram, just a glimpse on your relationship, to demonstrate all the adoration and love he felt for you. (One of the best musicians to have walked this earth playing from your phone, his very own definition of perfection wearing an almost see-through dress and enjoying the warmth coming from the fireplace – how could he not share that?) He wasn’t expecting the answer you had given him and it had messed him up more than he would ever care to admit.
“You will be the death of me, I swear.” Sam shook his head slowly, eyes closed but with his lips forming a growing smirk. “I hope you’re ready for round four, darling, because I’m not done with you yet.”
“Are you going to fuck me to the sound of Jimi Hendrix?” Your head lulled to the side, innocent looking eyes fully trained on him.
Sam wasn’t sure how, but your eyes sparkled like a VVS diamond ring, even with no light whatsoever reflecting in them. The way they roamed across his face, hanging around his lips before slowly drifting down made his jaw go slack and his mouth drool with want.
“I hope you’re ready for rounds four and five, sweetheart.” He spoke in a low tone. “I’m nowhere near done with you.”

angel baby - j.t.k.
Tumblr media
summary: dad!jake one-shot for MY angel baby :)
pairing: jake x f. reader
warnings: dad!jake, newborn baby, fluff so sweet it'll give you cavities
word count: 1.2k
Jake's eyes sprang open as he sat up with a jolt. He tapped on his phone and squinted at the sudden glow, reading the time. 2:53 a.m. He listened for just a moment, as he tried to decipher what awoke him. You began to stir slightly as you nestled into his warmth from his empty spot in bed, snoring a low, quiet rumble as you fell back into a deep sleep. He smiled at the sound. It had been quite awhile since you'd slept so deeply, let alone snored. As he watched you slumber, he heard the noise that must've woken him up. A high-pitched wail from through his closed door that threatened to split his heart in two, as it did every time he heard it. "Shit" he whispered as he felt you begin to stir again.
He stood from the bed as quickly and quietly as he could, performing a little dance across the hardwood floor to the bedroom as he avoided the boards that creaked, long grown familiar as you and he had shared this home for the last 3 years. He slowly turned the knob and opened the door the smallest amount to avoid any squeaking, shut it silently behind him, and tiptoed across the hall to a room that’s door was already slightly ajar. "Shhh..." he began to soothe as soon as he crossed the threshold. He leaned over a white wooden crib and took in the sight of the screaming baby girl inside it, a wild mop of dark wavy hair stuck in tear-dampened strands across her face. "I'm here, Rhi, Daddy's here" he said as he picked up the warm bundle of blankets from the crib. Her wails lessened at the sound of his voice and the feeling of his large, protective hands stroking her back, but the sobs still wracked through her tiny body as he held her tightly against his bare chest. “Shhh, baby, you’re okay,” he whispered as he gently bounced her in the moonlight streaming in through her sheer curtains. He felt her begin to still in his arms, and he pulled her slightly away from him to assess her state, her tears leaving wet streaks on his skin. She stared up at him with her big, deep brown eyes, much like his own, sparkling with the remnants of her tears, her bottom lip stuck out in a quivering pout. “Oh, honey, you are just fine,” he said as he kissed her forehead and began his nightly dad routine.
He changed her diaper, forgoing putting her pajamas back on as it was a warm night and began to feed her the bottle you had pre-made for her earlier. He rocked her slowly in the pink, plush rocking chair in the corner of the room, and glanced down at his daughter’s face to see her staring right back at him with her wide, bright eyes. “Now, Rhiannon,” he began in a mock, scolding tone, “you are supposed to be falling back asleep when I do this.” She merely blinked. He grinned at her chubby fingers holding his hand that held her bottle and looked back into her eyes. “You sure are a Kiszka, aren’t you? Stubborn thing.” He placed the bottle on the side table as it was long gone. “Well, what do you plan on doing instead if you’re not going back to sleep, huh?” he asked as he booped her nose, causing her to let out a tiny, melodic giggle that warmed his body from head to toe. He giggled right along with her, speaking little teasing phrases to her. This wasn’t out of the ordinary at all for Jake and Rhiannon. He frequently conversed with her about anything and everything, and he swore up and down she understood everything he was saying. She was responsive too, with little smiles, blinks and giggles, and undiscernible noises.
“I can’t wait ‘til you get a little older, Rhi. There’re so many things I’m gonna teach you. You wanna learn guitar like Daddy? I bet you’ll be a natural. Probably a brilliant little singer too like your Uncle Josh.” he mused as he rocked her. She continued to smile and stare into his eyes, all her attention on him. “I wonder what sports you’re gonna play. You think you’re gonna try soccer like Daddy? Or maybe softball like Mommy. I don’t know, you were quite the kicker, you really wore your mom out. I bet you’ll play soccer.” He kissed her little cherub cheeks as he spoke to her. He carried on, telling her stories about he and his brothers and sister when they were younger, about his first guitar, when he learned piano and any little thought that crossed his mind, until he looked down again and saw that her eyes were finally closed. “I bored you to sleep, huh” he smiled. He slowly eased his way up from the rocking chair and carried her to her crib where he carefully lowered her back into a bundle of blankets. He watched her lips part slightly as she shifted in the bundle, and cautiously backed away towards the door when he heard a shaky sniffle. “Oh no no no,” he started as he took two big strides back to the side of her crib, “Baby, you gotta be good and go to sleep, Mommy is so tired.” She let out a pitiful little cry, and with that he had an idea.
You awoke early enough that your room was still washed in darkness, but late enough you actually felt refreshed for the first time in a few months. You stretched slightly, and realized you were partially on Jake’s side, but it was empty, the sheets cold, indicating he hadn’t been in bed for at least a couple hours. You massaged the sleep from your eyes and grabbed your glasses from the nightstand, setting them on the bridge of your nose as you stood up from the bed. You could sense the house was still and quiet, so your husband and daughter must be asleep somewhere. You tiptoed around the hardwood floor to the closed bedroom door, avoiding the creaks. You reached Rhiannon’s door, and peered into her room as you slowly opened it, the sight before you caused tears to spring from the corners of your eyes and your breath to hitch in your throat. Jake was curled into the fetal position in Rhiannon's crib, and she was tucked snugly skin-to-skin against his bare chest, his hand holding her whole bare torso just above her diaper, and her little hand on top of his, holding his thumb. Both their mouths were parted slightly, the tiniest bit of drool coming from the corners, indicating their deep sleep. You inched forward silently and grabbed one of her blankets hanging over the back of the crib and threw it over Jake’s legs to help maintain some warmth and comfort. You couldn’t reach either of their faces to actually kiss them due to the depth of the crib, so you kissed the tips of your fingers and lightly grazed them over each of their cheeks. “I love you both so much, my angel babies.” You whispered as you backed out of the room. -fin.

the other girl | sam kiszka
word count: 2k
warnings: language, sexual situations, angst, fighting, cheating
a/n: this fic is based off the song “the other girl” by kelsey ballerini feat. halsey. this song has been stuck in my head for a bit and i got inspired to write about it. this is the first time i have written in a really long time, so feel free to give me feedback. i hope you enjoy. xx
Tumblr media
you had suspected it for a while, but you tried your best not to pay any mind to the thought. you didn’t want to believe that it was true. you didn’t want to think about the fact that there might just be another girl somewhere out there loving him the way you did.
sometimes, when you let your mind wander, you thought about what she was like. you imagined her to be tall and tan with dark brown hair and sparkling hazel eyes. she would be strong and sexy. intelligent and witty, and never one to turn down a challenge.
but what if you were the other girl? what if you were second in his mind? what if she took the first spot? was she the one he woke up and fell asleep thinking about? but how would you know who was first?
you first began to notice a difference when he would leave the room to take a phone call. he almost never did this, even when it was work related. he’d usually sit in bed with you, having his conversation on speaker while you read a book or scrolled through social media on your phone. he was never secretive, until after he came back from tour. the band had gone out west for a few months, and when he came back home he was distant. you brushed it off as best you could, and the matter simply seemed to disappear the first time you were intimate with him again. he knew your body well, and you knew his. he loved you just right. never making you feel less than, until the first time he left the room to answer a call.
“hey, i was thinking that friday night we could-“ he was cut off by his phone buzzing. “sorry, gotta take this.” he whispered as he walked into the hallway and headed downstairs.
you tried to pay no mind as you continued reading your novel, but you just couldn’t stop thinking about it.
why would he leave the room to take a phone call? he never does that.
after ending the call, he would come back upstairs and climb in bed, avoiding eye contact.
“what were you saying about friday?” you question him.
“oh, uh, nothing. i forgot that i have rehearsal.” he stated flatly.
“oh, okay.” is all you could muster up to say to him.
soon after, he would roll over, mumble goodnight and turn all the lights off except for the lamp you kept on to read. as much as you were interested in the novel you were reading, you couldn’t get the phone call out of your mind. what seemed to change so quickly? who was on the other end of the call? what did they say to change his attitude in an instant?
this would continue to happen several times over the next few months. he wouldn’t leave the room for calls from his manager, his brothers, or anyone else you knew for that matter. he would only leave for this one person, who he would never tell you about. the phone calls would get longer and longer, but you never questioned him. you wanted to respect his privacy, even though you felt uneasy every time he picked up the phone.
one day, while he was in the shower, his phone began to buzz, so you reached over and grabbed it from the nightstand, assuming it was one of his brothers, or maybe even danny. your heart sank as you read the name.
ashley.
he had never told you about an ashley. you certainly didn’t know an ashley. immediately tears began to form in your eyes. maybe you were right. there was another girl.
you put the phone down, trying not to let the tears fall from your eyes as you went through every scenario possible.
should i just leave? should i confront him? should i just try and forget about it? does she know about me? does she think she’s his only one?
your mind continued to race until you heard the shower turn off. you put your nose back into your book to pretend like nothing out of the ordinary had happened while he was out of the room. suddenly the door opened, and he walked out with a towel around his waist and his hair wrapped up in another.
“your phone rang while you were in the shower.” you say without looking up from your book.
“oh, who was it? i think danny was supposed to call me this morning.” he asked.
you responded, again eyes glued to the words on the page, “don’t know. i didn’t look. just thought you should know you missed a call.”
“okay, thanks.” he replied, walking over to grab his phone.
“who was it?” you question, this time making eye contact with him.
“it was danny. he texted to ask about what time we were supposed to meet at the studio tomorrow.” he replied nonchalantly.
tears stung in your eyes as those words spilled from his mouth.
he was lying. but why? why couldn’t he just fess up or walk out? why did he have to do this to you?
you two went about your day, pretending like nothing was awry. he never called her back that day. maybe he sensed that you knew something, or that you knew he was lying. he spent the whole day with you, doing whatever you wanted, and ending the day with passionate love-making. as your drifted off to sleep, that’s all you could think about. how damn good he was at bringing you to a high you never experienced with anyone else before.
this cycle seemed to repeat itself for a few more weeks until it happened again. she called while he was out of the room. despite your best efforts to control your impulses, you answered the phone.
“hey sam!” you heard the voice call from the speaker.
“hey. this isn’t sam.” you replied, a knot twisting in your stomach.
“oh. uh, may i ask who this is?” she questioned, a nervous tone in her voice.
“i’m sam’s girlfriend, y/n.” you stated, matter-of-factly.
you were met with silence.
“may i ask who this is?” you followed up, seeking a response.
“i’m ashley. i, uh, well i thought i was sam’s girlfriend.” she replied.
“oh.” is all that would come out of your mouth.
“what’s your number?” she asked, “i wanna talk to you one-on-one.”
you didn’t know what to think. why would she want to talk to you? not only did you just find out you had been cheated on, but so did she.
“uh, yeah.” you said, giving her your number.
“are you okay?” you asked politely, knowing that this was probably as hard for her as it was for you.
“not really. i’m mad, aren’t you?” she asked.
“i mean, yeah. i’m still in shock. i can’t believe that he really did this to me. to us.” you said, voice quivering.
“okay. well let’s take some time to think. i’ll text you so you can have my number and you call me when you feel ready. i am so sorry about all this. if i had known i wouldn’t have-“
“i know, it’s okay.” you cut her off.
you knew it wasn’t her fault. it was his. he knew full well what he was doing the minute he decided to pursue her. you knew he was aware that you were waiting for him at him, in your shared bed every night. you couldn’t hate her. and something in you couldn’t hate him either.
sam came through the door of your bedroom, looking at you as you held his phone in your hands.
“hey.” his voice trailed off.
“so ashley, huh?” you spat.
“what are you talking about?” he questioned, as if he had no clue as to what you were talking about.
“is she the one you leave the room for? the one you won’t tell me about? you know sam, i tried to give you space with this. i thought maybe it wasn’t what i thought, but it turns out it was.”
“y/n…” he cut you off.
“i’m not done, samuel. how could you do this to us? i’m mad that you cheated on me, but you didn’t just hurt me. you hurt her too. i fucking love you, how could you do this? what? was i not good enough? not pretty enough? not sexy enough? what was it sam? fucking spell it out for me because it’s not making any sense!” you say as your voice grew in volume.
“i never intended for this to happen.” he said weakly.
“oh bullshit! that’s what every guy says! tell me the truth!” you shouted.
“i fucked up, okay? she reminded me of you. i missed you so fucking much while i was gone. we had an off night and went to a bar. the minute i saw her all i thought about was you. i didn’t want her that night, i wanted you. i, fuck, i didn’t know what to do. she flirted with me first and i flirted back and one thing led to another.” he spoke.
“okay but, she was under the impression that you two were dating! you constantly took her calls, while i was sitting right here!! please. make that one make sense to me sam.” you spat back, tears welling up in your eyes.
“i don’t know. i felt bad turning her away after that. i didn’t know how to end it.” he said.
“stop answering her calls!! you live on the other side of the country!! all you had to do was block her number and it was done. mistake made and ended! why did you let it go on this long?” you shouted.
“you really wanna fucking know so bad, do you?!” he said raising his voice now too.
“yeah samuel, i do!!” you shouted back.
“because she took the time out of her day to ask about me. ask how i was doing. what i needed and wanted. all you ever fucking do is talk about your day, ask me ‘how’s it going’ and stick your nose in that goddamn book!! when we have sex, you never ask about what i want. i feel like i am always the one giving you something and never getting anything in return. sometimes i feel like you don’t even care about me. it is so fucking exhausting, y/n. holy shit!” he screamed as tears fell down your face.
“why couldn’t you just say that to me? i care about you so fucking much, sam. i know how you are, you aren’t always one to talk about your feelings and i didn’t want to push you!! i tried to give you space and let you come to me when you felt comfortable! i had no idea you were feeling this way, and i sincerely apologize for making you feel like i don’t care. but at the same time, you never even told me. how the fuck am i supposed to know when you don’t communicate?! you cannot act like this was all my fault!! if you had just said something to me i would have changed it all. i would have pushed for those conversations sammy! i love you! you decided to keep it inside and then go and cheat on me. you are not the victim here.”
“i wanted you to want to talk to me about those things. i didn’t want to have to tell you, but i get it. i should have said something. i’m sorry. i’m so sorry. i really fucked this up didn’t i?” he said, sounding more sad than mad at this point.
“you did, sam. you really did.” you replied flatly.
there was an uncomfortable silence in the room and you rumbled through the thoughts in your mind. you didn’t know what to do. do you stay with him? do you work on the communication? or do you give up, walk away and let him deal with the consequences of his actions?

Can you mix 17 and 20 for our Sammy baby?? 🥺
For you my precious, Brenna 🥰
Tumblr media
You hadn’t slept well in days.
Sam had taken notice of the darkening circles under your eyes, the rate at which you yawned during a conversation and the attitude you had adopted over the past few days.
He watched on as you paced the kitchen floor well after midnight, mumbling under your breath about work related matters he didn’t understand and how you brain just wouldn’t shut off. He pushed himself to stand and slowly made his way over to you, stepping between you and the track you had all but worn into the hardwood floor.
“Hey.” His voice was but a whisper as he slowed you to a halt and wrapped his arms around you. Your body relaxed for a fraction of a second, his scent enveloping your senses and turning your mind off for a second.
“You do realize it’s too late for you to be driving my liking right? Take off your shoes and come relax with me.” He brought his hands up to cup your cheeks and leaned down to press a soft kiss to your forehead.
A defeated sigh slipped past your lips as you kicked your crocs halfway across the room. Wrapping your arms around his waist and burying your face into the soft material of his shirt brought you a sense of peace as another yawn slipped past your lips.
“When was the last time you slept?” He mumbled, rocking your body gently from side to side. You rose your shoulders in a shrug as you wracked your brain but there was no definitive answer to be found.
“Maybe Sunday? I know Saturday for sure but after that it’s all a blur.” Your words were beginning to slur, the pressure his arms were putting on your body was beginning to fully relax you. A soft chuckle escaped Sam as he let his arms fall and he bent at the waist, scooping you up into a fireman’s a carry.
Laying your head gently against his shoulder you draped your other arm across his chest, listening to the solid beat of his heart as he carried you effortlessly to his bedroom. He laid you gently across his side of the bed and pulled the blanket that lay bunched up at the foot of the bed up and over your body. He made his way around the bed quickly and slipped under the blanket with you.
Your sleepy eyes met his and you scooted over, tucking yourself up against his side under his arm. He dragged his finger tips along the length of your arm, rising goosebumps on the skin as you pushed your leg through his and tossed your arm over his midsection, holding him close.
“Did I tell you the bullshit Josh pulled at the studio earlier?”
Sam spiraled into the most theatrical retelling of some of the silliest things Josh had done that day from using a spoon to fling a used tea bag at Danny to the high note he mastered that he never thought he would get. Sam knew he was losing you to the sleep realm very slowly as your answers became few and far between and the girlish giggles that had slipped past your lips tapered off.
He called your name quietly, reaching up to run his fingers through the loose hairs that had fallen out of your bun. Your name a song on his lips as he lifted his head slightly to look down at where your head lay on his chest. A soft smile caressed his lips as he realized you were fast asleep, making a mental note of just how your face looked with your cheek squished up against him and your mouth hanging slightly open.
A sigh of relief slipped past his nose as he rolled slightly and wrapped himself around your sleeping form and pressed a soft kiss to your forehead. His fingers continued their dance across your arm, lulling you into a deeper sleep as he awaited sleep to overtake him.

Hello!! Can you do a Danny from Greta one shot where you 2 are friends and you both realize you are in love with each other?! Maybe some Angst to fluff
Please and thank you!
Oh this is a delicious ask, this one was so exciting to write, enjoy 😉
Burnin’ For You - Danny Wagner x FReader
Tumblr media
Summary: You and Danny had been friends for a couple years, and you’d been hopelessly in love with each other for most of that. While it may be obvious to everyone around, it seems it’s going to take a series of unfortunate events to open both of your eyes.
Words: 2.4k
Warnings: language, drinking, some good ol’ jealousy, friends to lovers, angst with a fluffy ending
You sighed as you looked down at your outfit. This was ridiculous. You were just meeting Danny and some friends for a drink after work, yet you had taken a great deal of time to get all dolled up.
The ridiculous part was that you knew you wouldn’t have done any of it if Danny wasn’t going to be there. It shouldn’t have mattered. He was one of your closest friends. Nothing was going to happen, so it was honestly pretty pointless to spend so much time getting ready.
But it was Danny, and you were embarrassingly in love with him.
You sent him a quick text to let him know you arrived and then started to gather your things. As you stepped out of the car, he responded to let you know he was inside.
Ignoring the little flip your stomach did, you went in to meet him. The feeling only got worse when you spotted him near the end of the bar. He was in black jeans and a button-up that had enough buttons undone for you to see chest hair. Not that it mattered, Danny looked good in whatever he wore.
His face lit up when he saw you and he gave a little wave, which you returned with a smile.
“Hey, how was work?” He slid a glass your way. Your usual. Of course he already ordered one for you, he was just thoughtful like that. He made it really hard for you to stop falling for him.
“Thanks, and it wasn’t too bad today. You?” You clinked your glass with his in a mock cheers before taking a sip.
He took a sip of his own and shrugged. “It was pretty average today. Nothing too wild, which is nice sometimes.”
“Amen to that,” You chuckled. After finishing nearly half your drink, you realized the two of you were still alone. “Hey, where are your friends?”
“Oh, I forgot to tell you. Sam should be here in five or so, but Jake got held up and won’t be here for probably another hour. Josh can’t make it.” Danny sighed. “They’re always late.”
“Yeah, I’ve gathered that.” You remembered the first time you’d met Sam. He was about an hour late to the small dinner Danny held at his home. You’d never met Jake before, but Danny had already told you he was Sam’s brother so you figured bad punctuality might’ve been genetic. “I’m sure they’re worth the wait, so no worries. I liked Sam last time we hung out, and I’m sure Jake is just as delightful.”
Danny laughed at that. The little dinner party could hardly be called that. It wasn’t formal in the slightest, and you’d all gotten entirely too drunk and a little wild. “Yeah, they’re something all right. Good thing I have you to keep me grounded.”
He gave you a little wink and you felt your cheeks warm slightly. Damn it, you cursed yourself and downed the rest of your drink.
Thankfully, you were saved from your feelings by the arrival of Sam. In a flurry of greetings, more drinks were ordered and a sea of conversation overtook your group.
As the three of you caught up and chatted, more drinks were ordered. And finished. And ordered again. Before you knew it, the three of you were a little tipsy and feeling spectacular.
“Well, fuck Jake, I say we party without his late ass!” Sam threw an arm around your shoulders.
You laughed and leaned into him. “I think you might be onto something, Sammy boy!”
Danny eyed you with an odd expression for a moment. You couldn’t quite tell what was on his mind, but he just shrugged. “I don’t know, guys. Jake should be here any minute now.”
“Come on, Danny, dance with me! And Sam! We should all go out there together!” You reached over to tug on his arm lightly. Okay, maybe you were all a little more than tipsy.
At first he seemed to grin at the suggestion, but as soon as Sam was mentioned in the dancing, his grin faded. You didn’t even notice. Not that he noticed your flushes and smiles earlier. The obliviousness was unfortunately contagious.
“You guys go ahead without me, Im just going to wait at the bar for Jake.” Danny nodded toward the small dance floor area.
The tequila you’d recently consumed dulled your ears to the tinge of bitterness in his voice. “Okay, well don’t be too long.”
Danny watched in slight disdain as you led Sam away. He wasn’t sure where this was coming from. He knew Sam would never make a move on you, he knew how Danny felt about you. Hell, all the Kiszkas knew, they were his brothers. He also knew that you and Sam were just friends, but you and him were also just friends and look at the way he felt about you. What if all along you’d been waiting for Sam? You did ask where he was pretty quickly after you arrived.
Danny tried to put the thoughts out of his head, but the worry kept coming back. The fear that it might all be one-sided was all-consuming.
For a fraction of a second, just out of the corner of his eye, he thought he glimpsed you arriving next to him. Maybe you had come back to get him. When he fully turned his head, he was met with the sight of another girl. Not you, but she definitely held a resemblance.
She asked what he was drinking tonight and put a hand on his arm, and he felt himself slip into a dark place.
Meanwhile, you and Sam were absolutely thriving in the crowd of people. You danced with each other, with strangers, it was practically a free for all. It had been a while since you had really let loose.
The elation started to ebb after a while, though. You’d remember Danny was still waiting on Jake by himself and you’d feel a ghost of sadness that he wasn’t with you. After all, he was your favorite person to dance with.
“Can’t believe Dan is just over there alone and not out here with us!” You shouted to Sam over the music.
“Right?!” Sam laughed, craning his neck to try and spot his friend. His eyes caught on something and his expression faded.
You frowned at him. “What’s with the face?”
He shook his head. “Nothing, don’t worry about it.”
Now you had to know. “Sam, what is it?”
“He’s over there, but he’s not very alone.” Sam winced.
You turned around and through the crowd you were able to see a flash of what he saw.
Danny. With another girl. More specifically, Danny making out with said girl.
Instantly, your mood was flattened. Danny had been single for a while, and he’d not shown interest in anyone for that while. You hoped that maybe that meant you had a chance, but it appeared he wasn’t thinking about you after all. You weren’t entirely sure why you ever thought he might’ve been.
You looked over to see Sam watching you with sad eyes. Your sadness was quickly turning to irritation. “Don’t look at me like that, I’m fine! Why would that bother me? I’m just in need of another drink to keep me going.”
As you made your way away from Sam, you weren’t exactly sure what you were doing. It’s not like Danny was owed to you, and it’s not that you wanted him to never date and die alone. You just felt upset and you hated that.
That’s what led you to the conclusion that maybe you needed to kiss someone too. Get your mind off of Danny (hopefully) and then it wouldn’t hurt so badly when he inevitably moved on to an actual relationship. Maybe Danny had the right idea kissing a stranger.
While you were waiting on a drink at the other end of the bar, a safe distance away from Danny and the mystery girl, a guy walked in and met your eyes. He was handsome, with longer hair and a sort of mysterious air around him. He also worse a barely buttoned button-down. Not too shabby, he would do perfectly fine. You gave him your best flirty grin and hoped your “come talk to me” eyes still worked like they did in college.
You must’ve done something right because he made his way over to you and took the seat beside you. Neither one of you introduced yourselves, the conversation was set up to where you both silently understood what you wanted from the interaction. You didn’t need to get to know him, and vice versa.
Before you knew it, his lips were on yours and your hands were tangled in his hair. He was a good kisser. Honestly, one of the better ones you’d had. Still, you didn’t really feel that spark.
Just as you were telling yourself to fuck the spark because it wasn’t always about that, the kiss was suddenly ended.
“What the fuck, Jake?!” Danny’s voice shouted at the guy across from you.
Of fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. So this was Jake. You glanced over and it appeared Jake was having the same realization you were and you both cringed. This was not what was supposed to happen.
Then Danny whirled to face you. “I cannot believe you.” He all but spat the words at you and stormed outside.
Sam had made his way to you all now and was looking mildly confused. He looked from you to Jake to the closing door Danny had just left from.
“What the fuck happened here?” He murmured.
Jake could catch him up. For now, you had to go talk to your best friend. You started out toward the parking lot, a new rage building within you.
So he could go around and kiss whoever, but you weren’t allowed to kiss anyone? Sure, you wouldn’t have kissed Jake if you knew it was Jake, but what right did Danny have to blow up at the two of you for it.
On the bright side, your anger fueled your stomp out to the parking lot and you caught up to Danny relatively quickly.
“You kissed Jake!? What the fuck?” Danny shouted once the two of you had made it to the parking lot.
You threw up your arms in annoyance. “How the hell was I supposed to know that was Jake? I’ve never fucking met him before! Besides, why does it matter so much that I kissed him?”
“It just does, okay?” Danny seethed.
A bitter laugh escaped your lips. “Oh, so you can shove your tongue down some random girl’s throat, but the second I kiss someone I’ve gone too far? Does that sound fair to you, Daniel?”
He stiffened slightly at the use of his given name. You never called him that. It was always “Dan” or “Danny” or something ridiculous that went back to an inside joke.
“Maybe it’s not, but I still don’t think you should be kissing one of my best friends!” He knew he was being irrational, but he just couldn’t get the image of the two of you out of his head.
He broke things off with that one girl fairly quickly. About three seconds into kissing her, he became acutely aware of how not-you she was. He ended the kiss and when he went to find you, he found you with Jake instead. Any potential jealousy he felt toward Sam immediately flung itself to Jake and it took over.
“Well then who should I kiss?” You shouted, breaking him out of his thoughts.
Your question startled him, but his answer left his mouth before he could consider what he was about to do.
“Me! You should fucking kiss me! You should be with me!”
Now it was your turn to be thrown off. “What?” You blinked at him. Surely you couldn’t be hearing him correctly.
He sighed and looked at you with those soft, brown eyes that melted you. “I only kissed that girl because she looked like you, and she laughed like you, and I’ve wanted you so badly for so long. I didn’t want to ruin our friendship, but I don’t think I can keep being your friend and feeling this way.”
There was a painful beat of silence.
“I don’t want to be your friend, Danny.” Your voice was now so flat and emotionless that it made his heart sink.
“You don’t?” He asked quietly. Panic was threatening to claw into him.
“No, I want you to shut up and kiss me so I can tell how badly you want me.”
At your blunt statement, his head flung up to look at you. Your cheeks were red and you looked so beautiful in that moment that he wasn’t sure how he kept himself from confessing everything to you the moment he met you. He loved you so deeply, and from the look in your eyes, you loved him too.
It only took a few hurried steps forward between the two of you before his lips were crashing into yours, hungry and passionate. This wasn’t one of the forget-me-later kisses you both had shared with other people earlier in the night. This was needy and desperate and full of all the words you couldn't say.
Time didn’t exist in your worlds for a while. You weren’t sure when you broke apart, but you found yourself immediately missing the feeling of his lips on yours.
“You know I love you, right?” He asks, slightly breathless.
Despite the way your heart stops in your chest, you grin and nod. “I do.”
He kisses you again, briefly this time, and leans his forehead down to rest on yours. “I never should’ve kissed that girl. I didn’t feel anything for her. I promise. I’m so sorry that I did it, and I’d give anything to undo it.”
“It’s okay, I believe you. Trust me, I didn’t feel anything for Jake either. I was upset because I’m so in love with you, Dan. That still doesn’t mean I should’ve kissed him, and trust me I regret that too. You know I love you, right?” You echo his words back to him.
He chuckles and mimics your nod from a second ago. “I do.”

Y/n called out cheers, dreading each word that left her mouth. She hated cheer. She hated it so much, but her mother insisted that she stay on the team so she could get a scholarship and pay for college. Y/n had tried to argue that her grades alone would get her a scholarship, but her mother wasn't having any of it. Cheering in college had always been her mom’s plan, and it didn't matter if Y/n really wanted to do it or not.
Y/n rolled her eyes at the thought of the whole situation, then looked at the stands. Clusters of rowdy students filled the stands. They were throwing things and cheering loudly for the home team, but it was just background noise to Y/n. Amongst the crowd, Y/n spotted Sam. He stood at the front of the stands, mimicking the cheerleaders movements and making direct eye contact with Y/n. This was what he meant when he said he would be cheering Y/n on.
After the game, Y/n quickly shover her pom poms in her duffel bag and made a beeline for the parking lot, where she would normally hitch a ride from someone on the team.
“Hey, wait up.” Sam put a hand on her arm as he caught up to her. “We’re going to the party, remember?”
“I don't remember agreeing to anything.” Y/n kept walking, hoping he would drop it.
“Nope, we’re going. Come on.”
Sam led Y/n to his car, unlocking it and quickly cleaning out his passenger seat.
“You seemed really excited out there.” Sam teased on the way to the party.
“Oh, yeah. I was having a great time.” Y/n replied sarcastically.
“Why do you do it if you hate it?”
“My mom makes me.”
“Well, for what it’s worth, you’re pretty good at it.”
“Thanks, Sam.”
Y/n and Sam stayed together for most of the party. He would occasionally wrap his arm around her to guide her through crowds of people. Kids were drinking and vaping and some were making out in the corner. Others didn't bother to try and hide themselves and resorted to making out in the middle of the room. the stench of sweat hung in the air of the mildewy basement where fresh beer stains littered the carpet. Sam was playing a round of cards while Y/n watched from the wall. Nothing there much interested her, and she just wanted to go home.
“Want a drink?” A boy wearing a letterman jacket offered her red solo cup.
“What’s in it?”
“Lemonade.” The boy responded. “So you’re on the cheer team, huh?” The boy attempted to chat with her.
Y/n took the cup, looking at it. It didn't look too much different from lemonade, but it didn't smell much like lemonade. Still, Y/n wouldn't have been able to smell mothballs over the stench of the room.
“No.” Sam declared, snatching the drink and tossing it into a garbage can.
“Sam, it was lemonade.” Y/n rolled her eyes.
“No, that was alcohol. Also, don't take drinks from guys you don't know.”
“Sam, I don't know anyone here but you.” “Then don’t take drinks from anyone but me.”
“Whatever. This party is lame anyways.”
“That’s because you’re not trying to have fun.”
“No, it’s because none of this stuff is interesting. If I wanted to be around a bunch of drunk people who are just talking shit then I'd go to a family reunion.” Y/n scoffed.
Sam introduced Y/n to a few more people before the night was over, his hand around her hip and his warmth creeping onto her. Even though it felt nice to have Sam next to her, she couldn't wait for him to let go. Girls were giving her looks, which was going no where good.
The next day at school, girls bombarded her with questions about her and Sam. They asked what he liked in a girl and how she got to be his girlfriend. Y/n clarified that she was in fact, not Sam’s girlfriend, but word travels fast in high school.
At lunch, Y/n found a quiet hallway to eat in and settled down. She was relieved to be free of nasty stares and whispers surrounding her, but the peace didn't last long.
“Hey, there you are!” Sam exclaimed brightly, sitting down by Y/n.
“Hey. I thought you usually sat in the lunch room?”
“I do, but I wanted to sit with you today. Thats okay, right?”
“Yeah, I guess you can sit by me.” Y/n joked, earning a smile from Sam.
“So does this mean we’re friends?”
“If you don't drag me to another party, then yes.” Y/n stuck out her hand for Sam to shake, which he willingly took.
“Deal.”
