According to Stevie Richards the first photo was taken in Woodbridge, Connecticut, so I'm guessing from the polish hammer reference it's at ROH Back To Basics (12.03.2005). When Stevie appeared on the show to set up a feud that never came to be, Punk threw the hammer at him. Stevie had just gotten his nose and orbital bone broken by a botched polish hammer by Chris Masters on the 21.02.2005 episode of RAW, less than three weeks earlier (I was a bit surprised that you can't see any obvious bruising on Stevie's face, perhaps if you squint just a slight hint of color under his right eye).

Interestingly, the other two pictures are not from that day but later in the year, as evident from the lighter clothing. I'm guessing it's Connecticut again, where Stevie lives. So probably ROH Fate of an Angel (16.07.2005), when Punk retained against Gibson, and Daniels and Matt Hardy (who spent some time acting like he was an indie guy, note the t-shirt, after he had been released from WWE because he had posted a video of himself shooting a cardboard standee of Lita and running it over with his car) had their "dream match".

I don't remember him being on that show, so I guess Stevie was just coming by to hang out backstage and watch the show.

loads of gold moments from this short footage; both Xabi and Jamie clearly a bit tipsy, both of them waving their mics around especially Xabi forgetting he needs to speak into a mic lmao, XABI SWEARING, Jamie's cheeky "face for radio" comment to Xabi (he's trying to fool everyone else into thinking he does NOT think Xabi is handsome.), Jamie shouting into the mic that it was about "FUCKING GARY NEVILLE", both of them generally being so rowdy on stage ON STEVIE'S LEGEND OF FOOTBALL AWARD GALA.

The implication that Jamie knows more intimately on Xabi's intention to go into managing (his gleeful sarcastic "Sure?") but Xabi was still generally more secretive about it to the public. The cut to Stevie laughing nervously at their shenanigans on stage like that man KNOWS he has to drag their drunk asses back to the hotel room later on. I have never seen Xabi this animated and goofy they make each other worse. (The fact that this was the same gala where Jamie asks Xabi if he's a legend and Xabi's eyes are alr at half-mast hes literally a bit quite drunk and he misses the question entirely at first and then laughs at Jamie and says you're just a pundit.)

In December 1964, Dusty Springfield toured to South Africa. She was horrified by apartheid, so her contract specified that she would only play to non-segregated audiences (the same tactic the Beatles had used in the American South earlier that year). It didn’t go well: South African officials came to her hotel pressuring her to sign a declaration that she would only play to segregated audiences, making veiled threats that it would be dangerous for her to go outside.

After several performances, she was deported. The South African government announced: “Miss Springfield was on two occasions warned, through her manager, to observe our South African way of life in regard to entertainment, and was informed that if she failed to do so she would have to leave the country. She chose to defy the Government and was accordingly allowed to remain in the country for a limited time only.”

The Beatles’ Ringo Starr was one of many to rush to her defence, saying “Good for Dusty. I would have done the same thing. It’s stupid to have segregated audiences, especially as the music came from the Negroes in the first place.”

“Negro” sounds dated now, but in 1964 it would be the most respectful term to use (it was Martin Luther King’s preferred wording). Beatle biographers tend to leave Ringo out of political discussion, so it’s interesting to see him weighing in - particularly the way he takes the opportunity to emphasise who created rock’n’roll.
