The European Commission has published the 2023 tenders relating to the LIFE Program[1]  for the environment and climate action, the main instrument for the implementation of the European Green deal. The Standard Action Projects (SAP)[2] call under the Circular Economy and Quality of Life[3] sub-programme supports projects to facilitate the transition towards a sustainable, circular, toxic-free, energy-efficient and climate-resilient economy and to protect, restore and improve the quality of the environment.
SAP projects aim to:
develop, demonstrate and promote innovative techniques, methods and approaches;
contribute to the knowledge base and the application of best practices;
support the development, implementation, monitoring and enforcement of EU legislation and policy;
catalyze the large-scale deployment of successful technical and policy solutions.
The call includes 2 topics
Topic 1 :
1. Circular economy and waste
1.1 Recovery of resources from waste
Implementation of innovative solutions in support of value-added recycled materials, components or products for a number of specific areas.
1.2 Circular economy and environment
Implementation of commercial and consumer models or solutions to support value chains, in particular those of key products defined in the new EU action plan for the circular economy, with the aim of reducing or preventing the use of resources and waste.

Support environmental compliance assurance
Promote effective public participation and access to justice in environmental matters among the public, NGOs, lawyers, the judiciary, public administrations or other stakeholders.
3. Behavioural change and awareness initiatives
Raising awareness of environmental issues, EU environmental policies, tools and/or legislation among the target audiences, with the aim of changing their perception and promoting environmentally friendly behaviour and practices and/or the direct commitment of citizens.
Who is eligible?
Legal entities, public and private, established in one of the countries eligible for LIFE, i.e. EU member states, including overseas countries and territories, and some other countries, are eligible for the submission of a project proposal; international organizations. For the presentation of a project proposal it is necessary to use the documentation specifically prepared for the reference topic. The EU contribution can cover up to 60% of the project costs for both topics.
The amenities available
- For the topic LIFE-2023-SAP-ENV-ENVIRONMENT the budget is €74,000,000 (of which 8 million for the sub-topic New European Bauhaus), the overall project budget must be between 2 and 10 million euro (indicatively 31 projects will be financed).
- For the LIFE-2023-SAP-ENV-GOV topic, the budget is €7,000,000, the overall project budget must be between €0.7 and €2 million (indicatively 7 projects will be financed). Deadline for the submission of project proposals 6 September 2023.

Human Capital Management-SAP HCM. Production Planning-SAP PP. Materials Management -SAP MM. Project System-SAP PS. Sales and Distribution-SAP SD. Plant Maintenance-SAP PM.
SAP ECC is usually deployed as an on-premises ERP solution using a client-server architecture. There are three levels: the presentation, the application and the database tier.
The presentation tier provides the user with the SAP GUI. This can be installed on any computer running Microsoft Windows or macOS. The SAP GUI is the interface between the user's computer and ECC.
ECC's core application tier is the application tier. Executes business logic, processes transactions, runs reports, monitors database access, prints documents, and communicates directly with other applications.
The database tier stores transaction data and other information.
SAP Business Suite is a collection of modules that includes supply chain management (SCM), product lifecycle management and ERP. ERP is the core component of SAP Business Suite.
SAP's in-memory ERP platform, S/4HANA was released in 2015. SAP HANA Business Suite, a complete rewrite designed for SAP HANA's in-memory databases, is available. SAP claims that S/4HANA was designed to simplify complex tasks and eventually replace SAP ECC.

Summary of Position
Senior Officer/ Executive – Production is responsible for the production operations at the Dehradun manufacturing facility in order to meet key business goals and objectives.

Essential Functions
Manage the workforce for the manufacturing and packaging of Dehradun products through a staff of both professionals and contract labor. Should be responsible for validation to commercialization batches of Products. Direct the team and is accountable for optimum departmental safety, quality, productivity, service, inventory, employee relations, training and budget control in relation to assigned area of managerial control.
Co-ordinate for Marketing/Customer Service issues such as product availability, new product development, complaint resolution and operational enhancements driven by customer needs. Manage through others capital project improvements necessary to enhance the business. Identifies critical performance goals and develops a plan which enables the teams to achieve those objectives. Develop a department work plan that integrates all the required key deliverables. Develop and implement a safety plan to reduce injuries in the department.
Identify with staff areas for impactful process opportunities and drive improvement. Drives accountability and confronts performance issues and follows through until a successful behavior change has been achieved. Manages production areas to meet or beat expense budget through the deployment of tools for Operational Excellence.
Sponsor cost-savings teams for the development of cost savings initiatives.  Develops and supports metrics to trend performance in terms of cost, quality, productivity, service and safety. Drive alignment of Production goals with Avantor’s overall goals and objectives.
Department Specific/On-Going Functions
Assures compliance to regulatory standards. Resolve all conflicts in a fair and consistent manner. Works effectively with other plant departments and corporate functions. Participates on multi-functional project teams such as product growth, global planning and forecasting. Responsible for preparation and review the deviation investigation report. Responsible for preparation SOP and validation protocol and report. Responsible for training imparted to concern person.
Education Requirements
B.SC /M.Sc Chemistry/BE / B.Tech – Biotechnology or any other equivalent discipline
Experience Requirements
Above  4-5 years plus of experience in production in IVD/pharmaceuticals manufacturing company
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
– Understanding and application of process improvement methods.
– Understanding of production control systems especially SAP
– Understanding of operating budgets and production standards
– In-depth knowledge of the applicable industry and regulatory standards.
