ik i've never posted anything besides rottmnt art, but my brother asked me to draw this awhile ago bcs for some reason it has taken us both this long to watch Avatar: the last airbender 😑 of course appa was immediatley our favorite character, and we both used to be utterly obsessed with Lilo & Stitch, so he asked me to make a drawing combining the two, and this is what i came up with!

i was struggling with the shadows on... sappa? appitch?... stappa? idk aang is better at naming things.

Xenos of the Mavor Sub-Sector

Excerpted from the Sage Bede's "The Mavor Sub-Sector". Of note, the Aeldari Wild Riders of Saim-Hann oft assault the Emperor’s flock in Mavor. Despite the attempts of the Fennian Fianna, and later, the august Greymanes to dissuade them of this foolish course of action, they continue it incessantly. Such raids are joined by the Black Riders, a highly mobile band of Eldar Corsairs. Of the latter, some whisper that certain sub-sector governors – including those of Avidya and Tir Ablach – have made use of them as mercenaries. Such a thing is treason most foul, but has never been proven.

The Ork, as with seemingly everywhere in our great Imperium, also has a presence here. For the Greenskins, the Sappas warband, led by the Warboss Skoolkrakka, are the paramount force. In the Sappas, virtually every Mob is mechanized, and Wagons both looted and Ork-made abound. 

In their mad, endless pursuit of wealth and raw materials, some of the Kin abhuman-xenos have recently settled in Mavor. They are the Kindred of the Rymr Alliance, a staggeringly large Prospect based on the Kin World of Rymr. From exactly whence the Alliance came and why, this author cannot really discern. Perhaps they are refugees, set adrift by the Great Rift or the ‘Bane’ of the Tyranids. 

The Kindred of the Alliance’s Kinhost is highly divergent from the norm, with the Hearthkyn equipped and organized more along the lines of an Imperial Guard regiment. This speaks, perhaps, to previous service as mercenaries. Imperial vehicles, whose provenance I have no means of ascertaining, are also present. These include the supposedly extinct Autoch-pattern Predator, a specialized tank destroyer which trades the Syrtis-pattern autocannon for a ion cannon or twinned heavy magna-rail cannons. 

For the Leagues of Votann as a people-group, leaving the Core, indeed ‘sailing for Far-Space’ is a Truth-axiom denoting madness, so their presence here is extremely unusual. As for the masters of New Albia’s reaction to their recent arrival, it is shockingly muted for Astartes. If I were to speculate based on my own experiences, Cyning Bullroarer likely sees the settlement of the Alliance in Mavor as a bulwark against the other Xenos threats present. To quote that ancient sage, Ishirou Serizawa: “let them fight”.

Finally, the T’au xenos-brood and its expanding empire(s) are a matter of ever-present concern in Mavor. Of all the various aliens threatening the human race’s righteous dominion over the sub-sector, the T’au are perhaps the most insidious and confrontational. Surprisingly skilled in the waging and artifice of war for a race so young, they are also skilled diplomats and many outlying worlds have fallen to them without a shot being fired. Names such as the Six Blades Cadre, the Farstriders Cadre – infamous ones. I shudder at them.

Il cimitero monumentale di Alessandria grazie alle diverse iniziative di valorizzazione culturale, viene inserito nell’“atlante dei cimiteri italiani”. Nell’attuale edizione dell’“Atlante dei cimiteri Italiani” presentato alla fiera di settore “TANEXPO” che si è svolta a Bologna dal 4 al 6 aprile, è stato inserito il cimitero monumentale di Alessandria; la pubblicazione è uno degli obiettivi stabiliti nel Protocollo d'Intesa siglato nel 2016 tra Utilitalia-SEFIT (Servizi Funerari pubblici Italiani) e Ministero della Cultura (al tempo era denominato Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali e del Turismo), finalizzato all'individuazione di azioni condivise di promozione turistica e valorizzazione culturale dei cimiteri monumentali e dei luoghi della memoria. Per ogni cimitero è presente una scheda in cui sono comprese informazioni su orari, posizione geografica, curiosità, indirizzi utili, una breve descrizione del sito, una selezione di monumenti e tombe di particolare rilevanza storico-artistica, indicate anche in mappa, e una selezione di monumenti e luoghi della città che presentano legami con quelli individuati all'interno del cimitero. Questo inserimento è un buon risultato corsi conseguito grazie alle iniziative di valorizzazione culturale condotte sul sito cimiteriale cittadino secondo il Patto di Collaborazione sottoscritto tra il Comune di Alessandria e la Sezione di Alessandria di Italia Nostra APS, a cui aderisce la società “Gestioni Cimiteriali s.r.l.” che gestisce i servizi cimiteriali comunali. Sono otto i luoghi del Cimitero Monumentale di Alessandria pubblicati e si riferiscono alle tombe di note famiglie e personaggi cittadini: il compositore e musicista Pietro Abbà Cornaglia in connessione a Palazzo Cuttica di Cassine, sede del Conservatorio “Antonio Vivaldi”; la famiglia Borsalino in relazione al “Borsalino Museum”; l’artista Rodolfo Gambini, la cui tomba era ornata da una statua dello scultore Attilio Strada autore del monumento eretto in memoria del pilota automobilista svizzero Carlo Pedrazzini ubicato in via Pistoia; l’industriale Angelo Verzetti il cui ritratto si trova presso la Pinacoteca dell’Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria “SS. Antonio e Biagio e Cesare Arrigo”, struttura di cui è stato benefattore; il patriota risorgimentale Andrea Vochieri in connessione alla Cittadella dove si trova la cella della sua detenzione; la famiglia Guerci in relazione all’omonima galleria situata tra via San Giacomo della Vittoria e via San Lorenzo; la famiglia Civaglieri Inviziati Sappa, in ricordo di Carlo Inviziati primo mecenate del noto scultore alessandrino Carlo Caniggia, autore del bassorilievo raffigurante “Alessandria che premia le Belle Arti” ubicato nella Sala Giunta del Palazzo Comunale; infine la famiglia Valizone in relazione al Duomo cittadino. Sull’argomento è degna di segnalazione l’intervento svolto in occasione della conferenza d’apertura dott.ssa Renata Santoro, coordinatrice TTL Nazionale di Valorizzazione cimiteri italiani Utilitalia-Sefit e Responsabile Promozione e Valorizzazione cimiteri Torino che proprio per la presentazione della pubblicazione ha trattato il tema: “L'arte e la storia dei cimiteri quale potenziale utile per tutte le realtà”; in quest’ambito sviluppato l’argomento “patrimonio cimiteriale italiano portato alla luce” toccando aspetti sociologici, antropologici, artistici, economici e normativi con l’intento di porre nuove prospettive in merito alle relazioni fra comunità e cimiteri, essendo questi ultimi un vero e proprio “patrimonio” di riferimento; una tematica che coincide con gli obiettivi promossi per la citata opera di valorizzazione del cimitero monumentale di Alessandria.... #notizie #news #breakingnews #cronaca #politica #eventi #sport #moda Read the full article

FLOWERS is an afro-futuristic fairytale of love, following a ceremony of a mother giving away her son, adopting references to classic Disney stories from the 1930s-50s, modernising tropes for a coming of age tale.

Through poetic abstract storytelling, elevated throughout by lush cinematic tones and stylised production and costume design, the whimsical story follows a prince as he journeys from the confinement of his family home into the harsh reality of the outside world in search of his one true love, to the disappointment of his overlooked brothers.

In doing so the film reclaims the magic of that time we are all so familiar with: imagining what a black fairy-tale would look and feel like, by inverting and adapting age-old themes of fairy-tale lore.
