seriously, imagine what it would be like dating someone with wings for ears. well actually, he has ears behind his wings but that’s not the point.

they’ve got to be soft, slightly rough among the edges, but also dense at the same time. the stuff underneath all the feathers i imagine to be is like an earlobe thick. they’re also pretty warm if you get past the feathers, but also pretty sensitive.

if one day you have to sneeze but can’t, sunday would be happy to help. he’ll tickle your nose and face with his wings as he rests his chin on the top of your head (if you’re short enough), or he’ll rest his head on your shoulder.

when you’re sleeping together and have to wake up, he purposefully wakes up slightly earlier than he’s supposed to, just so he could wake you up by brushing his wings against your face. you don’t need an alarm clock, you have sunday.

i can’t imagine this man to usually be down for pda, but i imagine him that sometimes he’ll allow it, mainly because another person might’ve had your attention, or because he wants to. he doesn’t mind it if he holds your hand in public, but if he wants to sneak in a quick kiss on your cheek, he hides the action by extending his wing.

speaking of hiding, whenever he gets flustered, maybe because you’ve been flirting with him nonstop recently, he’ll hide his face behind his wings. he thinks that if he can’t see you and you can’t see him fully, you’ll stop, but actually you can’t help but tease him even more.

sunday always likes to keep his wings properly maintained and groomed. as your relationship between each other grows, he’ll eventually let you groom his wings for him. brushing, plucking unwanted feathers, even washing it sometimes, this man enjoys it, and you do too.

this guy sheds his wings like how pets sometimes shed their hair. when you sleep with him, sometimes you’ll find feathers in the most inconvenient places. you’ll find it on your body, clothes, bed, floor, sometimes in your mouth. you find it annoying sometimes, but sunday however is amused by your reaction, unaffected by the extra feathers.

based off of the leaks where it looks like sunday has the astral express ticket on his clothes — ii.

When SUNDAY boarded the express, he was not surprised at the… less than friendly welcome. The tenseness that would follow him to every room and cart that had another occupant was one that he knew would not leave him alone for a long time. Nobody really wanted to interact with him too much.

Nobody but Pom Pom — which was expected since they were the conductor — and you.

For some reason, you tended to him like you both had been friends since childhood who had just reunited. You bought him new clothes with your own credits, you forced helped him to decorate his bland room, you snuck into the archives when Dan Heng was on a mission and let him look at all the data and information he could dream of.

And overtime, SUNDAY found himself subconsciously keeping either you near him or him near you. Mostly the latter. Your presence was like reassurance humanized. Most of SUNDAY’s time was spent with you, and during those times he noticed how you picked up on his habits and mannerisms and knew what each little details about him meant.

He didn’t know if you had picked them up since Penacony or if you were just very perceptive and fast. But your knowledge on SUNDAY proves useful whenever it comes to missions or just mundane activities on the express.

If he’s struggling against conversation, if he’s trying not to stress over something he had placed and couldn’t find, if he doesn’t like the food but was trying to be polite.

"I’ll be fine, I’ll have Sunday with me," You would say whenever you would go off on a mission, effectively dragging SUNDAY with you. You initially thought he was annoyed by it, but the small smile that blooms on his face, so genuine and thankful that you pick him as your partner for the mission, always made you discard that thought.

The halovian likes to think that actions speak louder than words, so he will thank you by making sure you’re protected. He knows he’s not the strongest person on the express, but he also isn’t the weakest. He almost ascended, he’s more than capable of protecting you should the mission take a less-than-pleasant turn.

When it’s just a nice stop at a planet to explore and look around, SUNDAY acts like a bird who has just left it’s cage. If he drags you around during the little sight-seeing journey, please don’t be upset. He’s just so intrigued by how different every planet is from Penacony. He’s read of some, yes, but it’s very different when it’s in real life.

It’s still very new for him to introduce himself as a nameless, so sometimes he might pause mid-introduction to stop himself from saying the incorrect title. If you introduce him, he’d appreciate it. Just until he’s used to it.

sunday ramble - redemption

my current thoughts on him. 2.3 spoilers below!

this line, i don’t know what it is about it but i just can’t help but feel like foreshadowing…

to sever one’s wings is different than clipping them. by “clipping their wings” and putting them in a gilded cage, sunday wanted the people to live in complete satisfaction under the order. by severing his own wings and stripping him of the order, not only will he taste his own medicine as punishment, but permanently.

descend to the mortal realm, i feel is a way to try and humble him. to both stop him from trying to ascend to aeon-hood, but to also show how mortals can still live without the order.

walk their lands. go through their struggles, pain, suffering, but also the joy in life, dreams, hope.

and to see what this world is truly like… can either be positive or negative.

either way, as much both agree and disagree with sunday’s morals and actions, i feel as though there is a good chance he’ll redeem himself. if not for himself, then for his sister.

i have a feeling he’s the kind of brother that would grovel through gravel and dirt for his own sister, so he’d be willing to take punishment rather than death for her.

Two reallys.

Redrawn panels from IDW #42 but with the rise turtles

I wanted to see what it'd look like. Tweaked the dialogue just a tad so it fits more with the rise characters. Realistically, I'd have to squint really hard to be convinced this exact scenario would happen with the rise turtles. Mainly bc Leo can portal. Draxum can portal. THE FOOT can portal. Donnie would not need to build a portal machine. Ahem anyways. I wanted to mess around with color.
