Have some of my utmv headcannons
Dreamtale is, in universe, called ‘The Tale of Emotions’. Over time, however, It got ‘Killertale’d. This upsets both twins, but there’s an infinite number of au’s with an infinite number of people. Everyone close to the twins, however, calls it the correct name.
While everyone in the multiverse went from calling it ‘The Tale of Emotions’ to ‘Dreamtale’, Ink originally called it ‘Dreamtale’, because that’s what the creators called it. He switched after realizing how upset it made Dream.
After leaving his AU, goopy 6 year old Nightmare wanted to establish himself as the scariest, most dangerous threat in the multiverse. So he followed around Error, the most dangerous threat in the multiverse. Error had a dad arc.
Ink and Error are best friends.
Error’s goal to destroy the multiverse is impossible (that’s canon, I just think it’s really cool). It’s a sunk cost fallacy, which is when you invest so much into something, you can’t stop, or else why for you waste so much?
Ink knows that too. He’ll sometimes fight Error if the au is pretty new, and because he knows their fights inspire creators. Most of the time, however, he leaves Error be. After all, who are they to intrude on Error’s story?
Most AUs fall because they’ve been forgotten. They crumble like a dry, dead leaf, which is when Core Frisk gets monsters out and into the Omega Timeline.
When a creator destroys their own AU, everyone in universe forgets that the AU existed in the first place, Gaster style. The only ones that remember are Ink and Error because they’re both connected to the creators. (For example, Fell knows he’s missing a drinking buddy, but only Ink and Error know that was Flowerfell Sans, or anything about Flowerfell in the first place)
Error and Ink are both Aroace.
The multiverse just… pops shipkids into existence. Most of the time, the parents aren’t even together. (Fr though, why are all ship kid’s origins that their parents are terrible and abusive? I thought we all liked these funky skeletons?)
Ink loves the shipkids. He views them as precious gifts from the creators and takes very good care of them. He’s almost the multiverse’s CPS. Any and all of his kids are absolutely and undeniably loved.
All the Swap universe Sanses know eachother. They take turns having a training day/movie night sleepover in the others AU’s and consider each other cousins.
Blueberry is Swap’s kid.
The Fell brothers are friends with Dust and Horror. They want to fight Horrortale Undyne so bad. They had to be stopped multiple times.
Classic, Red, Swap, and Horror because a friend group after Swap and Horror had began fighting with/for Dream and Nightmare. It was awkward at first, but Swap was determined to make Horror his friend.
Ink didn’t really have a house until he met Dream. When the 6 year old broke out of stone, Ink brought him to his Dad’s house for a few days while he made a home in the doodleshpere for them. Ink had his first father arc of many.
Geno, Error, Fatal Error, and Fresh are siblings.
Geno and Dream friendship my beloved.
Geno has been asked to babysit both Dream and Nightmare at the same time before. It was always very awkward, but no fights broke out (thankfully).
Outer is the youngest Sans. (In the og Undertale, they say all kids wear stripes, and Outertale Sans does wear stripes.) He’s still an adult, and the big brother, he’s just a little bit younger than most other Sanses.
Whether or not an AU has the events of Undertale Yellow is it’s past is entirely random. Most things that happen before Frisk falls down are.
Ink has the ability to look at other multiverses. He just dislikes doing it because other Ink’s unsettle him a bit. He did once, however, because Dream asked him if he and his brother were destined to fight in every universe. Ink chose not to answer.
Despite their being an infinite number of Underswaps, everyone knows the same Swap. Blueberry has, like, a hundred babysitters.
There are a few bittybones aus. Ink has a very firm stance that no one touches them because so many creators go into bitty aus/interact directly with them.
Every story that involves the outcodes on a non multiverse scale is its own AU within the multiverse. (For example, Seabound Souls is it’s own AU, as it’s not on a multiversal scale)
The end of the multiverse is kind of like far lands in Minecraft. It’s a wall with many large, traversable holes in it. The reason people don’t tend to go into other multiverses is just how big of a distance any AU is to the multiverse boarder. If someone did manage to go that distance, however, nothing really stops them from going into another multiverse.

Can we see the kids you mentioned in past posts
Tumblr media
This is Rose, Gabby and Sophie's daughter. She loves Halloween and often gets into spooky antics with her best friend Augustus Wonder who goes by the nickname Auggie (Auggie is Skid and Pump's adopted son). She tends to question Auggie but trusts in his decisions as they haven't gotten them killed or possessed yet. She's friends with the Hatz polycule kids and Lizzie's twin children too, but her best friend out of all of them is Auggie. She is 7 years old.
Tumblr media
This is Auggie. He has a nasty habit of summoning demons and other supernatural beings with his grandpa's old occult stuff that Skid just won't throw away despite being the one who's often possessed by the things his son summons. Auggie has heard the stories of his dads' old adventures when they were his age and wants to make memories like that with his friends and often takes things into his own hands to make sure those memories happen. His fathers don't mind him doing this, but they want him to stop summoning things in their house. Auggie is 8 years old.
Tumblr media
This is Ollie, Charlie and Hannah's son. His cousins babysit him regularly but often likes being held by Rose because she smells like flowers and he finds that comforting. He is only a few months old but it is clear that he likes spooky things like his parents because when given the choice, he will choose the bat onsie that his dad bought for him. He's calm and doesn't really cry unless his cousins, Auggie and Rose are all freaking out or he's hungry.
Tumblr media
This is Maya, Ember and Felix. Maya is the bio child of Roy and Sally but they and the rest of their siblings will refer to Robert, Ross, Roy, Sam and Sally as their parents. Maya is 13 and goes by They/Them pronouns. Maya had a worse gender crisis than Roy did when they were trying to figure out what they were. Maya is often relaxed and goofs off often but can be serious when they want to be. Ember is Sam and Sally's bio daughter and is 12 years old. Ember is the most charismatic of her siblings and was quite the troublemaker when she was little, Ember does have a temper that as inherited from Sam but she rarely gets mad because she's very patient. Felix is Roy and Ross' bio son and is 11 years old but looks way younger because he was cursed with Roy's shortness. Felix is the most quiet child in the family but had his moments where he's quite loud.
Tumblr media
This is Edmund, Faith and Aiden. Edmund is the bio son of Roy and Robert and is 9 years old. Edmund has the nicknames of Eddie and Ed, his full name is only used when his siblings or parents need to get his attention. Edmund is also the most chill out of his siblings. Faith is the bio daughter of Sam and Ross and is 6 years old. Faith doesn't talk much and when she does it's blunt and straight to the point, she's also going through a picky eater phase. Aiden is the bio son of Sam and Robert and is 4 years old. Aiden is a troublemaker but is also responsible when he wants to be.
Tumblr media
This is Wilhelmina and Octavian, but they prefer Billie and Otto. They were named by their father, their mother Lizzie didn't like their names at first but grew to like them as time went on. Billie loves fantasy and often gets called a fantasy nerd by Otto. Billie can and will be dramatic. Billie isn't the smartest person but she can have her moments of brilliance when push comes to shove. Otto is a horror nerd, in particular he likes clown related horror, hence his costume. Otto likes seeing things go down hill if it doesn't hurt him, his friends or his family. Otto is quite smart for his age, often the one making the action plan for capturing whatever Auggie summons if it breaks loose and posseses someone (which it often does). Otto holds the title of scariest kid in the friend group. Billie and Otto are both 7 years old.

hi, im amrit!! summer said I could redo the outlaws post (they said they wanted to add more to it) so I was wondering if u could give me a lore drop for ur outlaws oc?
OH YES
I have four Outlaws OCs: Lilith, Daisy, Venus, and Azriel
Lilith/Hex
4th daughter of Lucifer/Satan himself. It's a long story
She's not a Demon though, she's a Fallen Angel. That means she has no claim to the throne of Hell and not that she wants it either
Came to earth during the previous Gotham gang wars as an info broker and freelance hacker for anyone who paid a good price (mind you she was like 14 in human years)
Met Daisy in school and became good friends with her
Joined the Outlaws bc she trolled Jason and threatened to leak some of his shit
Eddie is her bf
As for her role in the Outlaws, she's the tech girl and team troll. She likes to spy on people, mostly villains, by hacking into the phone lines to listen to their calls and see if there's any drama happening, her and Babs play 4D chess with multiverse time travel once a week, she could shut down the power to the entire United States if she wanted to
Lilith is also the reason Jason hates the color green outside the Joker trauma
Daisy/Paradisia
Daisy is the team nurse and the love of Artemis's life
She used to be sick a lot as a baby so her dad injected plant DNA into her since the medicine wasn't working. The plant DNA worked and she got better but she also got powers too
She teaches ballet at the local schools
Joined after treating some of the members' injuries during a really intense battle (which is also where she met Artemis; but that's for another time)
Lowkey the scariest member of the Outlaws bc not only can she control plants, she can also control bees so she's beating the baby Poison Ivy allegations
Honestly the sweetest girl ever
Venus/Star Sapphire
The Terra of the group
Venus is a #itgirl. She's a world famous DJ, she's an intergalactic hero, she's the supreme Star Sapphire, she has a doll of herself. She's just that girl
Became a Star Sapphire after she found out her ex boyfriend cheated on her
Might slowly be possessed by the ring??? Who knows
She's married to Kyle by the time she joined the Outlaws
Azriel/Ghoul
Lilith's younger (half) sister and another member
Originally met the Outlaws when Lilith was babysitting her which is how she was able to join later on
She's the half Demon. Azriel has the keys to the Demon realm (think of Lucy's zodiac keys from Fairy Tail)
She's a part of a sub group called the Kid Outlaws since she's like 13
Her and Thad (romantically) hold hands

I just thought of the most craziest and over the top thing yet:
Okay so… what if Charles faked that “nearly dying on Lucy’s couch” thing? I mean yeah he’s stupid, and wouldn’t know how to pull it off, but he’s working with the most scariest, craziest, but intelligent serial killer out there — Miss Rosalind Dyer herself. I mean she was in the car with him that night. Like it’s such a coincidence that HE got in that very vehicle that she was in.
So so so, what if this was Charlie’s ultimate plan all along?? He knows Lucy has ZERO interest in him, and 100% interest in Tim, so - Cameron had to think of something fast to “get the girl” or “win the girl” so he fakes this whole thing, and of course, we already knew this was sadly coming but Lucy stays out of GUILT. (For those who didn’t know it’s out of guilt, drill it in your heads now.)
So she’s taking care of him til he feels better cause she feels sorry for him. And I do think he is kind of using her for a come-up in his career, but at the same time I still feel like he’s working with Dyer. Either or he’s using her and I’m sticking with that theory.
Long story short, something happens that enrages Cane, and he starts to show his true colors and accidentally blurts out his true intentions cause he’s an idiot, duh. He does stupid stuff on the daily.
Sure, this may never happen, and seems very fanfic-y but I want chenford (TIM AND LUCY) to be endgame, and I want Cantelope gone for GOOD! I can’t stand him! And I hate that Lucy’s staying out of guilt because we know this isn’t what she actually wants, babysitting a man she isn’t even committed to. I want her to be happy, and this doesn’t seem like happiness to me.🤷🏾‍♀️
LUCY, DROP THAT BITCH AND GET WITH TIM!!! She deserves to be happy, after every terrible relationship she’s experienced. And I know she’ll be happy with Tim. Cause you don’t stay with someone out of guilt and expect me to think that you actually have feelings for them💀, especially Camp Rock of all people.
Anywho I’m done.

MEET LOTTIE
Full Name → Charlotte Amelia Mackenzie Evans
Age → 38
Birthday → May 13th, 1986
Order & Type → first, solo (half-sibling)
Gender & Pronouns → cis woman, she/her
Sexuality → bisexual
Occupation → trauma fellow at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest
THEIR STORY
(tw: abuse, addiction)
Charlotte has very few memories of her father, but she cherishes the ones she does have. Growing up, though, the only father she had ever truly known was her step-father. Things had been absolutely perfect in her eyes until his damn accident. He had always been there whenever she needed him, no questions asked; there was nothing that she couldn’t talk to him about when she needed someone. When he got injured at work, that had been the scariest moment of her life; she had genuinely thought that she’d lose the only man she’d ever seen as a father. Luckily enough he’d managed to survive the injury, and it had taken nearly a year of rehab and therapy, but she had thought things were going to go back to the way they had been before.
Despite how much she loves and looks up to her mother, there is a part of her that resents the woman for refusing to see the problem with Dwight’s addiction until it was too late. She tried to ignore the problem herself for a little while, taking various babysitting and tutoring jobs to help provide her family with a little extra money, but nothing was working. With time, even she had to admit that her father’s actions were obvious; if he wasn’t funneling money into his gambling addiction, he could often be found at the local bar racking up quite the tab after having turned more to alcohol without access to the powerful pain medications he had grown dependent upon. As the time passed and nothing changed, Lottie became less and less willing to just let Dwight’s actions go unaccounted for, and as more time passed it wasn’t unusual to hear loud arguments erupting between the two of them. Especially when they had to declare bankruptcy. What most of the neighbors didn’t know, though, and what her mom refused to admit was happening, was that their fights often turned physical on Dwight’s end; Lottie learned very quickly how to cover the bruises and how to know when she was on the verge of pushing too far.
When Dwight left and took the family’s entire financial savings with him, Lottie was not remotely surprised. Outwardly, she seemed as if she was happy to see him to. She was already working under the table to help bring in extra money for her family, and the only thing that changed was she started working even more to pick up the slack. Inwardly, though, she was heartbroken. She had developed a very particular image of the man she called ‘father’, and knowing he would willingly throw it all away hurt her more than she was willing to admit. Despite having some of the top grades in her classes, after Dwight left there were many days Lottie would skip school to pick up extra shifts at the diner in New Haven where she usually worked after school.
When she wasn’t working in the diner to bring in money for the family, Charlotte could often be found throwing herself into her studies to be a doctor. She had friends, and she socialized when she could, but she set her sights on one of the best schools in the country: Yale University. It was close to home so she’d be able to keep an eye on her family, having stepped into more of a motherly role than her own mother after their father left, and it had been a quiet dream of hers since she was a child. She was absolutely thrilled when she learned that she’d gotten into the University on early admissions with a full scholarship for her studies. As she’d come to expect in her life, though, that elation was short-lived. The scholarship fell through at the last moment, and they gave it to another student who was a “better candidate”. Instead, Lottie took out as many student loans and bank loans as she could to pay for her tuition at the University, and whatever amounts she didn’t use from the loans she would send back to her family in Bearcreek.
It took a lot of time and a lot of effort, but Charlotte managed to graduate in the top 3% of her graduating class at Yale. After completing her residency at Bearcreek Hospital in the trauma program, Lottie made a decision that cause arguments to erupt in the Evans household once more; this time, though, they were between Lottie and Camille. In an attempt to pay off her massive student loans as well as wanting to be able to provide financially for her family in a way they hadn’t really had before, Letty followed in her father’s footsteps (adjacently, at least) and enlisted in the Navy Medicine Medical Corps as a trauma surgeon. Despite her mother’s loud and strong objections, worried about history repeating itself, Lottie signed a 5-year contract in return for the military paying off her student loans in their entirety. Over the course of the last 6-7 years, she’s done three tours overseas, and only just came back home to Bearcreek about a year ago after deciding not to re-up her contract. Since then, she’s taken up a full-time job as a Trauma Surgery Fellow at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, on track for making Attending when the next position is available.

The babysitter horror movie
Tumblr media
#The babysitter horror movie movie
Later that night, Jill hears Duncan's voice as the closet door appears to open. Clifford tries to call Jill, but finds that the line is dead in an eerie parallel to Jill's original stalking. Upon hearing about the incident, Garber alerts Clifford. While at the restaurant, Jill gets a telephone call and hears Duncan's voice asking again: "Have you checked the children?" The police escort Jill back home to discover that everything there is fine. One night, she and her husband Stephen (Steven Anderson) go to dinner to celebrate his promotion while their children are babysat by Sharon (Lenora May). Jill is now married with two young children. Tracy screams for help and Clifford returns, chasing Duncan from the scene but losing his trail in the streets of downtown Los Angeles. After Clifford leaves, however, Duncan comes out of hiding from inside Tracy’s closet. He tells Tracy that Duncan literally tore the Mandrakis children apart with his bare hands and Tracy reluctantly agrees to act as bait at the bar that evening in an effort to draw Duncan out. Clifford tracks Duncan to Tracy's residence. Garber, who was also present at the Mandrakis crime scene, agrees to collaborate. Meanwhile, an increasingly obsessed Clifford confides to his friend Lieutenant Garber ( Ron O'Neal) his intention to kill Duncan rather than have him recommitted. She tries to be nice to him while getting him to leave, hoping this will be the last she sees of him. Duncan follows Tracy to her apartment and she takes pity on him. Not knowing Clifford is after him, the homeless Duncan is beaten after harassing a woman, Tracy ( Colleen Dewhurst), in a downtown bar. Mandrakis hires John Clifford ( Charles Durning), who investigated the earlier murders but is now a private detective, to find Duncan. Seven years later, Duncan escapes from the psychiatric facility. He leaves Jill unharmed and, after his trial, is sent to a psychiatric facility. Unbeknownst to her, an English merchant seaman named Curt Duncan ( Tony Beckley) killed the children shortly after Jill arrived. Immediately after the conversation, the police phone to inform her that the calls are coming from a line located somewhere inside the house. Jill receives one final call from her harasser. She calls the police, who tell her to keep the perpetrator on the line long enough for them to trace the call. However, he calls again and again, the calls increasing in frequency and threat level, and Jill becomes frightened. Jill initially dismisses the call as a practical joke. When the children are asleep, Jill receives a telephone call from a man who asks her if she has checked the children. Mandrakis ( Carmen Argenziano) at his home. Jill Johnson ( Carol Kane) is babysitting the children of Dr. It was followed by the 1993 made-for-cable sequel When a Stranger Calls Back and a remake in 2006. It received a mixed critical reception, with many praising the opening scene and performances, but criticism for its writing and lack of scares. It was commercially successful, grossing $20 million at the box office. The film was released in the United States on September 28, 1979, by Columbia Pictures. The first 12 minutes of Wes Craven's Scream (1996) is an homage to the opening of When a Stranger Calls.
#The babysitter horror movie movie
The film has developed a large cult following over time because of the first 20 minutes, now consistently regarded as one of the scariest openings in movie history. The film derives its story from the classic folk legend of " the babysitter and the man upstairs". It stars Carol Kane, Colleen Dewhurst, Tony Beckley and Charles Durning. When a Stranger Calls is a 1979 American psychological horror film written and directed by Fred Walton and co-written by Steve Feke.

Reflections are scary.
They can show you the scariest parts of yourself. The parts you hate the most about yourself tend to show.
It was dark, the only source of light was the full moon shining through Love’s bedroom window. It was four in the morning and she was just staring at herself in the mirror that showed her worst nightmare.
“Why don’t you love me anymore?!” her voice echoed in her mind, replaying the conversation with the man who she should love with everything in her.
But she doesn’t. That’s the crazy thing. She doesn’t love him, not anymore. Not like how she used to. If anything she hated him.
She let out a sigh as she thought about him. She could practically feel his arms wrapped around her from behind. Love could physically see Joe holding her in front of the mirror. He was like a ghost haunting her every move. A force holding her down.
Love couldn’t escape it though. It’s like she was magically bound to this one man, her soulmate, the man who used to understand her in and out. But now, now he looks at her like she’s a monster when she was the one who made her like this!
Joe had fucked with her mind so much that there was no ounce of the real her left. Yet, every damn time he still made her feel like it was her own fault. Like she was so fucked up in the head and he was this perfect guy who would never do something like that. Ever.
“Fuck you, fuck you! You act all pure and noble, like you have reasons for what you do what you do, but when I do it I am crazy, right?! I-I’m some manic nut job, but oh wait! Oh wait! She’s a mom now, I guess I can’t slit her throat! He is the only reason I’m still alive!” she argued.
She doesn’t deserve this, right? This unhealthy, toxic, relationship where she’s being gaslit in her own fucking home? But maybe she does. She doesn’t deserve love. She doesn’t deserve you.
You, you were different than every snotty two-faced person in Madre Linda. When Dottie was no longer to be trusted as a babysitter, they went looking for a babysitter, and found you.
Love instantly drew a liking to you. The way that you cared for her and for Henry. The way that you were so interested in her baking and cooking and just her in general.
But she only thought of you as a friend in this lonely town...hell, in this lonely house. That was until the scariest day of her life.
Henry was basically screaming and crying bloody murder as you watched over him. Love was working at the bakery and Joe was working at the library and Henry well, he wasn’t having a very good day.
You picked him up from his crib and started rocking him back and forth. His eyes were bloodshot red and you started noticing a rash forming along the smooth skin of his body. The worst popped into your head as you grabbed the thermometer, already making a bee-line towards your car that was parked out front.
Beep beep! You quickly pulled out the thermometer that read: 106 degrees Fahrenheit.
“Fuck,” you muttered, strapping him into his carseat and immediately calling Love.
You sped to the hospital as quick as you could. This wasn’t your first babysitting gig, but Henry, for some odd reason, meant so much to you. So you needed to get him to the hospital and if getting pulled over was a risk, it was a risk you were willing to take.
“Hey Y/N! Everything o-” she started, but you immediately cut her off.
“Love, I’m on my way to bring Henry to the hospital. His temperature is 106 and he has a rash forming. I think someone gave him the measles,” you quickly got out.
“Oh God. I’m on my way,” she responded and you were about to hang up the phone when her voice cut through, “Y/N, are you okay? Are you vaccinated?” her voice laced with worry.
A part of you wanted to believe that the worry in her tone was for you and your safety. But you shook it off knowing that it was for Henry.
“Yeah, yeah I’m okay. Don’t worry about me, just come quickly,” you responded.
That night you didn’t leave their side. Joe came to the hospital for two seconds and then dipped to who even knows where. You sat in the waiting room, slowly falling in and out of sleep.
“Y/N, go home,” Love whispered to you.
You shook your head, trying to knock the sleep out of you, “No, I’m staying here until he leaves this hospital,” you whispered.
“You don’t have to do that. You’ve done more than enough,” she said to you, taking a seat next to you.
“I know, but Henry means a lot to me. I won’t be able to go home and sleep if I know that he’s still in here,” you told her.
Love just stared at you. Her blue eyes staring right at you, but you couldn’t read her expression, “Thank you,”
“Anytime,”
Love remembered that night vividly. The way that your head drooped slightly onto her shoulder. She didn’t want to move. She was fighting every muscle in her body because she did not want to wake your sleepy figure. You drooled on her a little bit, but she thought it was the cutest thing in the world.
But Love knew she was better off on her own. She didn’t need to drag you into her drama. Her mom was a lunatic. Her dad was now nowhere to be found. More importantly, Joe would kill you in a heartbeat if he ever found out Love’s true feelings for you.
Maybe that’s why she buried her feelings for you because she knew she wasn’t enough. Joe reminded her every day that she wasn’t. Even though she knew better to wait around for a guy who constantly changed his mind.
One day he absolutely adored her. He would be all over her, the sex would be off the charts. But the next day? He’d hate her with every being in his body.
He gave her false hope on a daily. That one day his severe mood swings would stop and he’d love her just like he did in the beginning. Instead of killing for other people, he’d kill for her. He’d compliment her pastries and meals. He would stop thinking of her as a monster and finally think of her as the girl he fell madly in love with.
So she tried. She tired to be sexier, more caring, a better mom to Henry, a better wife, but it didn’t matter. Nothing she did mattered because it was never enough. Joe’s heart was never in it.
And maybe Love’s heart wasn’t in it anymore either.
“Hey Love! I forgot to switch out Henry’s carseat. I was halfway home when I noticed it in my backseat-” you entered the house to see Love sitting on the couch quickly wiping her face, “Are you okay?”
She planted a fake smile on her face, before nodding, “Yeah, yeah. It’s just allergies,”
“What’s wrong?” you whispered, sitting down next to her, dropping the carseat on the ground.
“I’m just so tired,” she lets out, “I’m trying so hard to keep my family alive. I mean I’m trying to be the best mom for Henry while running the bakery. I could sense that Joe’s slipping away every single day and there’s absolutely nothing I could do to stop him. I’m just not enough for anyone, anymore,”
You hesitantly placed your hand on hers, staring into her deep blue eyes, “You, Love Quinn, are more than enough. I mean you said it yourself, you’re doing everything in your power to keep your family alive and if Joe is too much of an idiot to see that well...that’s on him,”
Love could see the genuine glint in your eyes. That every word that came out of your mouth was true. It was genuine and it was for her.
“You deserve someone whose heart is made just for you. You shouldn’t have to try 24/7 to be this perfect person for someone who doesn’t care for you. I know it’s not what you want to hear, but as someone who cares so much about you and Henry, I think that’s for the best,”
“Baby, what are you doing up?” you whispered as you wrapped your arms from behind Love. You awoke from your shared bed to find her staring at herself in front of the mirror at four in the morning.
Love blinked a couple times, the figure of Joe fading away. His hauntingly cold touch was slowly replaced with your warmer figure. The force that was binding her heart to his faded away.
She let out a sigh as you nuzzled your face in the crook of her neck. She turned her head and placed a soft kiss to your forehead, goosebumps rising onto her skin at the feeling of your warm breath on her neck, “You should be sleeping, this is the first time Henry has slept through most of the night since we moved,”
“I know I went to use the bathroom and I just stopped in front of the mirror to think,” Love told you, her hand reaching out intertwine with yours.
“About?” you mumbled into her neck, taking in her sweet scent.
“I thought about what I saw when I look at myself in the mirror and how I don’t like who I see. Or well I guess I don’t like the image that was planted into my head of who I am. That I’m a monster,” she opened up to you.
You finally removed your face from her neck, staring at her through the reflection of the mirror. Love wanted to shrink at how you were studying her intently, “Do you want to know what I see?” you whispered and she just hummed in response, “I see the best mom in the entire world. The best girlfriend that a girl could ask for and an absolutely stunning and strong women. I will love every single part of you. Even the parts that you see in your own reflection that you hate or the scariest parts of yourself I will love with my entire heart,”
“Whatever Joe planted in your head is not true and I will remind you every single day if I have to,” you told her and she could see the same genuine sincerity in your eyes from the night she ran away from Joe to be with you.
Love turned to face you, wrapping her arms around your neck as she pressed her lips against yours. You kissed back immediately, practically drowning at the feeling of her lips. A feeling you know you will never get used to.
“I love you,” she whispered to you as she pulled away.
“And I love you,”
With those simple words, it released Love from Joe’s grasp. Her heart and mind slowly letting go of the words that used to drown out her thoughts that she deserved something better. Someone better.

•Happy Valentine's day! I got 3 posts planned for today and this is one of them. Hope you guys enjoy it ^^
•... Just a heads up the Bonnies of these games always happen to be my favorites so there's that- I might become a bit biased while writing about them XD and expect lots of time skips on this time. I went overboard with trying to establish a small story with this...
"That's enough TV for tonight kid. How about I send you to bed? It's already way past the curfew your dad set." You sighed, simply deciding to crouch down in front of him rather than sit next to him, it would he easier to look at the kid that way "B-but I'm not sleepy..." The child whined, hugging his golden plushie "Come on... How about I read you a story? Like maybe a fairy tale? Or stay with you until you fall asleep?" You gently smiled, hoping to persuade him in any way.
Evan had been an easy kid to babysit, especially with his dad away and that troublemaker brother staying over at his friend's place, still the hardest challenge was the last one, sending him to bed "B-but they'll hurt you..." Evan whispered, mostly to himself, avoiding eye contact with you completely 'He said that again...' You frowned, having heard Evan say that about three times now. Before his dad left he said Evan had some night terrors here and there and nightmares. Even Michael teased him about it 'Poor kid.' You sighed then gently patted his head for comfort.
"Oh you don't gotta worry about me, I know how to beat up even the scariest monster under the bed." You grinned and then carefully picked him up. With the accident involving his sister and his mom disappearing you couldn't help but pity the kid, he must be feeling so alone and helpless with only the fredbear plush to help him "R-really!?" Still being a kid, Evan's eyes lit up in excitment and hope, making you chuckle "Yeah, I'll beat 'em up and you'll sleep like a baby tonight!" Anything to get the kid to bed honestly. Today it felt like you were babysiting Michael instead, having to stop him from teasing Evan and doing pranks that could break stuff.
Once you arrived in his bedroom, Evan carefully jumped out of your arms and went to his bed, grabbing a flashlight that was placed under his pillow "Here's a flashlight dad gave me! Maybe you can use it too." You blinked in surprised and stared at it before grabbed it from Evan's hand, very creative solution... "Thank you. Now change into your pj's and I'll go look for a story book somewhere." You smiled, opening the other door to look at the hallway and saw a few books on one of the tables. Since the lights were turned in Evan had no problem being on his own for a few seconds so you went over to look at what books they had.
Your eyes then caught the sight of a plushie, of Bonnie nonetheless 'He had Fredbear so it's a give he has the others too.' You had to grab the foxy mask from Michael so many times, you assumed that was Evan's too. A hum escaped your lips as you picked up the small purple bunny "Guess you're kinda cute. Don't go scaring Evan anymore okay?" You chuckled softly and patted it's head, pretty sure the animatronic monsters wouldn't listen to you but it was worth a try.
"No seriously, I'm really tired today, everything's been so stressful lately.." You sighed, remembering how your significant other kept calling you constantly, not only did you cancel the date you had for today to work here but you didn't answer them everytime so they got angry, you stared at the plushie for a bit then looked around, assuming no one was around you gave it a good hug to comfort yourself... It sort of worked
'... What am I doing...' You lightly berated yourself before putting it down where you found it and just grabbed one of the books that was at display, grabbing the book and walking off back to the bedroom 'It's nearly midnight too.' You checked the time with a frown, glad to see Evan on bed at last and went over to carefully sit down next to him, it melted your heart at how happy he looked, kids could be so cute sometimes.
...
You had fallen asleep too by the time the clock hit 1 AM. Maybe it was in the middle of the story you were reading and the tiredness finally got to you. You were having a peaceful sleep only to be woken up by your phone, which was on the nightstand, started ringing except something stopped you from moving, especially when you saw the eyes staring at you.
Your breath hitched in your throat, fear evident in your eyes and from your inability to move or scream, you knew you were completely hopeless while looking at the being that was staring at you through your door, the evident heavy breathing coming from them wasn't making this any easier. You quickly closed your eyes again when the door creaked open even further and it walked in, the ringing of the phone quickly stopped once, with a single claw, the creature pierced it through and shut it off.
You immediatly got goosebumps when you heard it breathing so closely to you, your body flinching when something brushed against your cheek, it was rather gentle but the surface was too harsh so you couldn't help but try to lean away from it. Try, because of how you weren't able to move. After a few seconds the other door opened and the creature behind you growled immediatly in response.
Nightmare Bonnie glared at Chica, indicating for her to go away, he even had to kick some of the Freddles back under the bed because they were too agitated by the noise your phone made, he'll deal with Freddy later. And Foxy knows when to not stick his nose on stuff that doesn't involve him. He looked back down at you and his demeanour softened just a bit, maybe he wasn't going to kill you just yet...
Once making sure you had fallen asleep again -Passed out from fear of this giant creature brushing his hand against your cheek, head and back- he retreated.
Bonnie wants to be closer to you...
...
You woke up to Evan shaking you "Morning [Y/N]!" You groaned lightly, rubbing your face and looking at the little kid, he seemed so happy and excited "Morning kid-" You didn't even get to finish from the sudden hug Evan gave you "You're so brave! You really fought all of them off!" He grinned, finally excited to have a good sleep- he might've started crying a bit from happiness.
Some of his words went over your head because of your half asleep state 'This room is cursed...' Was the only thought in your mind. How could you have a paralysis demon like this... Was it from how tired you were 'No, they're real...' You decided once seeing the condition your phone was in. Totally destroyed with a hole poked through. You hid it from Evan the moment you woke up and before he noticed, was it a prank by Michael? Doubt it. He was petty, not THAT petty though to come to the house in the middle of the night and do this.
Your thought were interrupted once something touched your nose, you focused only to see red-pink eyes staring at you from the plush Bonnie you saw last night "I saw you hug him last night, my dad can get me another one so you can have this Bonnie!" Evan happily announced with a grin, tapping him again so your noses could boop against each other for a second time "... Thank you." Despite your embarrassment at having been caught hugging it you still accepted Bonnie. He was a bit cute "Well I'm gonna have to leave now, I'm always available if you need someone to take care of you for the night." You sighed with a helpless smiled and ruffled his hair.
"Dad said the money was on the table." Evan reminded you, then from the new found courage he decided to brush his teeth alone while you went downstairs and made him some cereal for him, you were suppose to leave last night but it didn't seem like Evan's dad was that upset about you staying over, you couldn't help but look over at the plushie, strangely reminding you of your paralysis demon or whatever it was "Looks like you're gonna stay with me now huh?" You smiled at him, somehow it looked like it was actually listening.
...
"God can you believe them!" You let out an annoyed growl, falling down on your bed, it has become a weird habit to talk to the Bonnie plushie. But it's been two weeks since Evan had give him to you and you found yourself ranting whenever you were excited and annoyed. Yet again it was about your significant other arguing with you about pointless stuff and dragging you around like you weren't already tired from work.
"What am I going to do Bonnie..." Watching your hopeless expression Bonnie immediatly had one thought in mind 'Kill the bastard.' And he had decided on it "Maybe I should invite them over. I do love them but it can be a bit difficult at times." You decided, a movie night and some cuddles would do you good. And Bonnie liked the idea too. He can finally get his hands on whoever you were so fixated on "We can make up and everything will be fine." Especially when you looked so happy... He wants to be the one that you look at like that
...
You jolted awake once hearing a scream "H-huh..." Blinking in confusion you looked around for your lover, not finding them anywhere made you break into cold sweat. Especially since you didn't seem to be having a night terror tonight. You flinched in horror once hearing another scream, a sickening crack being heard shortly after and pleads and begging from a very familiar voice.
You let out a shaky breath and carefully got out of bed without making a sound, to the slightly open door and peaked in to see what was happening, immediatly covering your mouth to not make a sound and even your breathing stopped at the horrifying sight of your lover being ripped to shreds by a creature all to familiar. You slowly backed away once hearing it laugh, almost as if it was experiencing pleasure and excitment from killing someone.
Bonnie's ear immediatly moved to face the direction of your room "Seems like you're finally awake dear~" He laughed, kicking the mangled and bloody body away from him and headed for your room "Come on, don't be terrified~ I don't bite THAT hard~" Bonnie's laugh sent a shiver down your spine, all you could do was look around for anyway to escape then you set your sight on the window 'It's just the second floor right?' You think to yourself and the second you hear the door open you made a run for it.
The second Bonnie saw you smash through your window he had a short circuit of needing a laugh and being too shocked for a second but he was much faster than you. And with a split second he grabbed you by your leg "Hah!~ Caught you~ Not gonna lie, what you did was kind of entertaining." You winced once you were brought up, a few glass shards stuck on your arms and once you were pulled back up so carelessly one of the broken shards still stuck to the window cut your leg.
Finally getting a good look at whoever had caused your night terrors you were terrified, he was covered in blood from having just killed your lover and was laughing, probably still finding it funny how you jumped down "Still don't do that again or you might die, and I don't find that funny." His laughter died down to a chuckle as he harshly removed a small shard from your arm, making you flinch, then another one and another, to the point the pain had caused you to start crying.
"P-please don't kill me.." You manage to finally say something once you got used go the pain, trying to hold your biggest stabbed wounds and not let the blood seep out. If he doesn't kill you blood loss will. Bonnie looked at you for a good minute then laughed "Oh no I'm not going to kill you. Not as long as you listen to me~" His condition was rather simple yet it could mean a thousand things, Bonnie let out a glitched chuckle and held you close to him, it made you suffocat from the sudden act of affection he displayed.
"Now darling~ I'm so glad I get to finally talk to you~" He smirked down at you, yet your confusion on what he was implying had Bonnie huff, actually offended, glowing eyes glaring a bit at you "Did you think that plush toy was just that? Don't be that naive." You needed a second but then realized "Bonnie...?" He grinned, exposing the sharp fangs and nodded "Yup!~ The one and only~"
"Y-You... Why?" The question came out unconsciously and had the nightmarish creature tilt his head in confusion before he realized "Why I killed that worthless idiot?" The way he spoke of your significant other was with such distain and annoyance, you would've gotten angry if it wasn't for your current situation "Well they were giving you such trouble and I did you a favour~" His reason was... Just that?
"T-they weren't... We might've fought from time to time but I loved them, I really did!" You tried pushing yourself away from him but Bonnie didn't budge "Well you might've but you're going to love me." The claim Bonnie had made caused you to widen your eyes "Love you? Why would I ever-" A pained hiss escaped from your lips when Bonnie tightened his grip on you "You will." It was a demand, glowing eyes glaring at you through the dark "I... Will never." You growled right back "(S/O's name) is the only person I've loved all my life and you killed them! How could I ever love you!"
Bonnie didn't like this side of you, dare he say he even found it annoying "Huh..." He titled his head, ears shooting up in attention as he got a sudden idea "If you won’t give me your heart, I’ll rip it out of your chest myself." The sudden chilling remark had suddenly calmed you down. Bonnie smirked, finding the thought amusing and decided to act on it.
The same rough and harsh claws making their way to your chest and started to pierce through, making you shriek in pain, immediately trying to push or kick him away, your pupils shaking from fear. Bonnie found you squirming around like that cute, he could hear the police cars outside so decided to stop, removing his hand from you, leaving you a bloodied and shaking mess, the blood you've lost making you slip into unconsciousness.
"Don't worry darling~" Nightmare Bonnie grinned, leaning down and kissing your forehead as best as he could without hurting you this time then transformed back into his plush form the second before the police entered the house and found you and your lover.
"I'll forever be here with you no matter what~"

If you wanna keep doing the summer headcanons, I've got an idea: going camping
hehehehehh goblin laughing thank you so much galaxy brain idea tbh
I'm gonna go with like, roughing it camping, no campers
2-D He's convinced he's going to be stabbed the entire time, super scared in the woods. Murdoc takes advantage of this and scares him with a mask, Courage style (Russel beats him up after don't worry). He's actually the greatest at ghost stories around the fire, though. Like. Scarily good. He can spin the scariest shit out of the most mundane objects- once he made Russel afraid to touch doornobs. Also, he's the one to play Wonderwall on his guitar for no reason- plus he's really good at identifying edible mushrooms for reasons he'd rather not admit
Murdoc Doesn't take it seriously, doesn't help- thinks the whole thing is cheesy and a waste of time. He just kinda gets drunk and trusts the others to babysit him. Once he stuck his hand in the fire trying to light his cigarette, screamed, then ran off. Woke up wearing only his boots 3 miles away from the campsite. Evidently he tried to fight a bear while intoxicated. He won
Russel He's the only one they trust to make the food- and he makes a killer s'more. He's the one who thought of most of the supplies because nobody else seemed worried about it. He makes sure everyone is wearing bug spray, though he had to sit on Ace to get him to wear his. He was grateful later on when he saw Murdoc (who refused. Russel didnt care enough to force him, and he was covered in bites later) though he'd never tell Russel that. He doesn't need to, he knows. But yeah Russ really enjoys camping, even if it's a bit stressful that the responsibility tends to be on him. He enjoys coming across dead animals, finds them interesting. Insists on taking them home in the cooler
Noodle Really loves to explore the woods, likes climbing trees especially. This is really just an opportunity for her to let loose and be a kid for once, and she really takes advantage of it. Loves pitching the tent, likes the puzzle of it, and really loves mimicking animal noises. She's always the saddest to have to go. She's usually the one to push for activities- while Russel is okay chilling at the campsite, Noodle really wants to do things like go hiking or canoeing or anything really
Ace He's a pro at this. His entire childhood was a step down from camping, so this is a breeze. He lowkey scares the other band members with all the weird little tricks he knows and with his willingness to kill a squirrel with his bare teeth. He's the only one that knows how to start a fire without a lighter- heck, he's the only one that doesn't own a lighter. He also tried to fight a bear, but he lost

08: stolen hearts
synopsis: you and sunghoon were convinced you were meant for one another and married quite young once exiting high-school, but when he decides to leave to the states to chase his own dreams, he asks you for a divorce leaving you alone and with a child he doesn't know you're expecting. so when he turns up four years later, can he expect to fix the damage when your bestfriend jay wants to prove he can be by your side, or when the new doctor at your hospital, heeseung is after your heart as well?
masterlist
-----
Heeseung takes into his own hands to accommodate the guest room for Sunoo, tucking him carefully under the covers while you grab a seat on the living room couch.
"I really didn't want to bother you, but heeseung couldn't stop crying." He places down a cup of water and sits beside you.
"Y/n...you can count on me for anything okay?" He places his arm on your shoulder, "you want to talk about what happened?"
"Sunghoon went behind my back to take a praternity test." You mention, slowly sipping on the water.
"Yikes, what a red flag. But does he plan to do anything?"
"Other than get into petty fights? Not really. But I don't want to worry about that for now." Your arms moved upward as you yawned, attempting to rub your eyes in the process.
"You can sleep in my bed, I'll take the couch."
"I'll just sleep with Sunoo, don't worry." You slowly got up and surprised him by pulling him into a hug.
"Thank you for everything hee." He reacts slowly and manages to hug back with a smile on his face.
"I'm always here, always."
It was your moment.
------
"Well now that I have to take care of two assholes, you might as well clean the dishes without hurting each other!" Jake demands, throwing the rags at their chests while Sunghoon and Jay glare at each other.
They begin to wash the the dishes in silence, not sparing any words before Sunghoon gets irritated.
"Were you there?" He asks calmly.
"There for what?"
"When sunoo was born, were you there?" Jay pauses and looks at Sunghoon not knowing what to answer.
"Yeah I was. Her mother couldn't make it on time but I was there in the room when he was born. He was 6.2 pounds and had the loudest cry. I've never seen y/n so happy." Sunghoon continues to hear to Jay's story.
"His first word was mom actually. He was so energetic that he almost crawled off the bed. But I think one of the scariest moments was when he was in the hospital. He had a weak immune system and it's also been the most heart broken she's ever been since your divorce."
"He must have gotten in it from my father I guess, go on." Sunghoon states, washing the dishes as Jay speaks.
"She took off two weeks from work and I took one off to help her the first. Jungwon and Jake would come to take turns while she sneaked off to take a breather or two."
"How was Sunoo growing up?"
"He's always been such a happy kid to be honest. Every year, the three of us go on a trip in the summer to take a break from our day to day lives. You should have seen the first time she let me babysit Sunoo on my own when he was eight months old; she couldn't stop texting me every hour." Jay laughs to himself, remembering the enormous list you had left inside his carry on.
"Thank you Jay really, for being there for y/n.." He takes a slight breath before turning off the water faucet.
"But I'm here now. I'm here to fix myself. It wasn't right to go behind her back but im finally here...and yknow I can always remind her that I did come back but she wouldn't listen.." He recalls the memory of when he came back to visit six months after leaving.
But Jay can't respond and instead let's an awkward chuckle escape his lips.
Jay can't let you find out what happened six months after Sunghoon left, not after the fact that he...could be responsible for you not having the happy ever after with the man you once swore your heart to.
------
"Good morning hyung!" Sunoo barges into Heeseung's room and dumps his body over his covers with you running after him.
"Sunoo! You can't do that!" You scold at your son who is too busy to care as he's getting tickles from Heeseung.
"It's fine y/n, I was bound to wake up anyway." He picks up Sunoo into his arms and and slowly stands from the mattress, reaching for his slippers blindly.
"Did you sleep well?" Heeseung asks.
"Yeah I did, although I'm more intrigued by the laundry detergent you use, or is it because Sunoo has a tendency to spill his food?" He rolls his eyes in a playful manner and comes to the living room to find the table set and decorated.
"I made breakfast as a thank you, I hope you like it." Heeseung can't remember the last time he's had this much company in the morning and he tries to hold back his stupid grin as he helps Sunoo into one of the chairs.
"Thanks but you really didn't have to."
"It was my pleasure Hee, now do you want jelly or syrup?" He takes both bottles and settles them on the table as he in takes his new surroundings.
The way you help serve the meal onto the plate and the way Sunoo's smile with a babbled thank you light up the room can't be ignored.
Maybe his heart could settle on the idea of a family, much more if that family includes you and Sunoo.
-----
ahh, sorry for the shorter chapter :( but on a side note are people team jay or heeseung? or is there anyone out there who's team hoon 👀

Headcanons of Sukuna being turned into a child for an entire day
A/N: This is my first time doing headcanon, hopefully I do it right. I find the idea of Sukuna, the feared king of curses getting turned into a child hilarious for some reasons. Might be my tired mind which wants a break from studying😅. For this idea's sake, Sukuna has his own body. I leave it to your imagination if he is still a curse but was somehow enrolled into helping sorcerers (highly improbable), or he is born as a sorcerer.
Also, I wish to thank my followers, for liking my content enough to want to stick around. I won't be posting much (University just started but I am already so busy with assignments and such). I will try to write as much as I can but there will be months where I won't be posting lengthy stories. So yeah, sorry for the long ramble, just wanted to let you know how grateful I am. Without futher ado, let's jump right into the arms of Sukuna lol.
Tumblr media
You were sent on a mission of high importance.
It was your first time doing it and you were proud to be the one chosen for such a task.
However, Sukuna was bored and according to him, you were the only interesting person in his eyes (besides Megumi of course) when it comes to hanging out with either Itadori or Nobara or god forbid, Gojo Satoru. Beurk, his own words.
Actually, he was kind of forced to say that since you are dating.
And Sukuna doesn't date boring or weak people.
So, with him in toe, after you made him swear he won't interfere unless necessary, you both headed to the place where the exorcism would take place.
It was a special grade curse. One of which was that the nature of it's jujutsu was unknown since it was only discovered recently.
In hindsight, knowing the elders, the mission could have been a suicide missio meant to get rid of you because you disagree with the system.
And it doesn't help that you are Satoru's student. A well-known thorn in their side despite his immeasurable strength.
Despite that, a mission was a mission. And with Sukuna by your side, you were quite confident of coming out of this alive. Not that you couldn't on your own, but he is like a booster...or a support character. But don't tell him that.
The mission was going smoothly. The curse was not as impressive as the document made it out to be.
Or so you two thought.
When you were ready to go, a beam of light was thrown at you.
Sukuna threw himself in front of you.
You were quite worried. He is your boyfriend for God's sake! Despite him claiming he is the strongest, you were still allowed to fret over him at times! And the curse was already exorcised. So where did the beam come from?!
However, there were more important matters at hand.
Like where did he go?
Why were his clothes lying down like back with a bundle in the middle?! Why was the bundle moving?! Why was it cursing?!
Then...the cutest red eyes emerged from the kimono and stared at you. His eyebrows were furrowed as were per usual.
You had to hold in a squeal because...how could you imagine he would be as adorable as this as a child?!
"Oh my God! Sukuna! You are so cute!"
He grimaces.
"Shut up, woman. Help me out."
Immediately after getting him out from the mountain of clothes, you find out that he is naked.
Quickly averting your eyes, you bunch up his clothes and try your best to protect his modesty.
You returned to the school by teleportation and went to find Ieri-sensei.
She was perplexed but didn't see anything wrong with his body or soul.
"The effects might last for a day or two. Don't worry about it."
So you didn't worry over it. But you had to find him clothes.
So you got off to the city to buy appropriate clothes for a grumpy Sukuna who was clutching at you tightly while glaring at anyone who looked at him for more than two seconds.
It was the first time you entered a baby's clothes shop and you were in awe at the multiple array of choices of clothes and toys they sold here.
You went over to the male isle and with some convincing, managed to buy a tiger onesie for him. And another with the saying "I'm a little adorable cuddly monster"
A man tried to flirt with you there.
To which he glared and declared, "She is my woman, you idiot."
You had to clear up the misunderstanding.
"He is the son of my neighbour, haha. I'm babysitting him."
Still his glare scared off the guy.
You gave Sukuna a disapproving stare.
As punishment, you told him he would have to let you take pictures of him in the onesies.
This got you the scariest glare he could manage and a cute pout.
After your little shopping trip, you guys decided to drop by a cafe for some sweets.
He would have refused if he knew they would meet that annoying blindfolded kinky bastard again.
"AH! (Y/N)-CHAN! I didn't know you and Sukuna had such a cute kid!"
Cue, he tried to poke at Sukuna's cheeks.
..."ITE!!!!"
Satoru held his offending finger which was now a glaring red. Because he was wearing his sunglasses, you could see big fat tears droplets at the corner of his eyes.
You were skeptical because, shouldn't Sukuna have bitten down on the infinity separating him from the world?
"Your kid is as mean as his dad! That's so unfair!"
Sukuna swore angrily while trying to kick the man as best as he could in your arms.
You explained the situation to Satoru who only started cackling as if he was mad.
"That's Sukuna? Hahahahahaha."
Sukuna hopes he dies on the spot.
After that humiliating meeting, you head back to your dorm.
The only good thing that came out of this was that he could stay with you.
After dressing him up in these adorable onesies, a photoshoot was a must.
He glared at you during all this.
Midway through, he fell asleep.
You decided to tuck him in safely in case he rolled over.
This was truly a blessing in disguise, you decided before your eyes closed, tired of the excitement of the day.
.
.
.
.
Bonus
You woke up to someone holding you in a death grip.
It was way too warm.
Trying to push the offending furnace away, your eyes suddenly opened.
"Wha-?"
There was a sight that was even more precious than kid Sukuna.
The man was sleeping soundly, soft snores exiting his parted mouth.
Truly, he is the most adorable man in the world...when he wasn't being murderous and mean that is.
One of his eyes cracked open.
"Take a picture, it will last longer."
With a smirk, you did that.

ARC Review: Of Charms, Ghosts, and Grievances by Aliette de Bodard
Tumblr media
Preorder
Add to Goodreads
Publication Date: June 28, 2022
Synopsis:
From the author of the critically acclaimed Dominion of the Fallen trilogy comes a sparkling new romantic adventure full of kissing, sarcasm and stabbing. It was supposed to be a holiday, with nothing more challenging than babysitting, navigating familial politics and arguing about the proper way to brew tea. But when dragon prince Thuan and his ruthless husband Asmodeus find a corpse in a ruined shrine and a hungry ghost who is the only witness to the crime, their holiday goes from restful to high-pressure. Someone is trying to silence the ghost and everyone involved. Asmodeus wants revenge for the murder; Thuan would like everyone, including Asmodeus, to stay alive. Chased by bloodthirsty paper charms and struggling to protect their family, Thuan and Asmodeus are going to need all the allies they can—and, as the cracks in their relationship widen, they'll have to face the scariest challenge of all: how to bring together their two vastly different ideas of their future... A heartwarming standalone book set in a world of dark intrigue. A Note on Chronology Spinning off from the Dominion of the Fallen series, which features political intrigue in Gothic devastated Paris, this book stands alone, but chronologically follows Of Dragons, Feasts and Murders. It’s High Gothic meets C-drama in a Vietnamese inspired world—perfect for fans of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's Heaven Official's Blessing, KJ Charles, and Roshani Chokshi’s The Gilded Wolves.
My Rating: ★★★★★
***My review and favorite quotes below the cut.
My Review:
I loved the previous novella about Thuan and Asmodeus, so when I got the chance to read an early copy of this I jumped at it. This met and exceeded all my expectations. I absolutely ADORED it.
I haven't gotten a chance to read the initial trilogy about Thuan and Asmodeus, though I immediately bought them after reading the first novella. I must remedy that soon. I can't wait to explore the beginning of their relationship because everything about their dynamic here is brilliant.
We have Asmodeus, a very stabby fallen angel with a protective streak a mile wide and at least as much sarcasm and hidden knives. Then we have Thuan, a Vietnamese water dragon who loves books and believes in talking before stabbing (in most instances) but has a tendency to be attracted to stabby people.
Whilst visiting Thuan's family and babysitting a horde of children, they uncover a murder and things get... interesting.
The pacing was excellent (and fast), the writing was gorgeous, the plot kept me guessing, and the emotional struggle between Asmodeus and Thuan was one I might have expected in a longer book. The story and emotional struggle was satisfactorily resolved within the novella but leaves enough that there could be future novellas. And I desperately hope there will be because I am not ready to leave these fascinating characters.

Review! Adventure: (2020) Episode 67: The End of the Adventure
Tumblr media
In this episode, among all of Negamon’s terrifying forms, it decides a shadow rivaling Omegamon is the scariest.
The common template for Digimon finales of half climactic action and half emotional epilogue offers some intriguing possibilities for this series. The climactic action part goes without saying: whatever stops are left will be pulled out and it’s going to be the kind of wild action sequence the show’s excelled at. But it’s hard to go without some sort of resolution as the kids say farewell to the Digital World. How do you say goodbye to a cast we never really met in the first place? It could be the same hollow statements we’re used to, or they could cram a bunch of real world details we should have discovered ages ago. Instead it’s split halfway, with sights a little more telling than we’re used to, but without pretending this show was anything different than what it was.
After tussling with multiple forms of Negamon, all abominations of tentacles and eyes, Omegamon dives into its main core for the final showdown. And Negamon, master of horrors… solidifies into a form the same size as Omegamon, only shadowy. It’s possibly the least intimidating thing it could muster. It’s also a weird show of deference, like Negamon would rather fight as equals rather than as something larger and awe-inspiring. It makes for a hell of a final one-on-one clash that delivers the kind of fight we hoped for, but the psychology is poorly considered and the form in many ways betrays Negamon’s concept.
Once Omegamon and Negamon run through the string of “evenly matched overpowered robot duel” tropes, eventually ending up in space because why not, the usual spur of energy from the angels and the usual refusal to quit from Taichi and Yamato leads to Omegamon Alter-S… the usual mode change everybody expected. It makes quick work of Negamon, but makes an observation that other Digimon seasons have only danced around: in worlds where Digimon are reborn: doesn’t that apply to the villains?
It varies by world, but you probably should wonder about the fate of the Dark Masters, Lucemon, Bagramon, and the like. This time it’s attacked head on. Omegamon recognizes that the power of rebirth Negamon grew such a disdain for allows it another chance to recreate itself, perhaps this time without the corruption that led it down this path. If there has been a recurring theme this series, it could be the exploration of renewal and history repeating itself.
The falling action starts out on an auspicious note, with the kids left in a weird binary space where everyone can chill with their partners for a second. They’re sweet, quiet moments, but nothing remarkable. And suddenly it’s over, leaving you wondering if that was it for the kids in the Digital World, perhaps even with their Digimon. Meanwhile, the following scene of Wisemon passing on the story to the baby Digimon is a wonderful additional to the formula. Like the holy war before it, it shows how this adventure is destined to become part of the world’s lore, to inform and guide the heroes of the next crisis that will inevitably come along.
As for the heroes of this one… they just go back to their lives. Not knowing much about them lives hampers a few of the shots, particularly Sora and Joe’s. But for everyone else they take what little we were given and roll with it. Takeru and Yamato get a rare real world visit. Mimi puts her entrepreneurial spirit into action. Koshiro’s on her payroll, devising a way to open his own gate to the Digital World. And Taichi gets a moment in the shade, a chance to enjoy some peace and quiet, maybe even out of the limelight for a change. That he’s still in the Digital World is only brushed on, appropriate as he’s not the first Digimon protagonist to make that call, that he didn’t have any specific grievance that made him want to avoid the real world (at least that we knew of), and he wasn’t that convincing as a human child anyway. It’s a good spot for him.
It’s almost a footnote that the Digimon stayed with them, remarkable since that only happened once in the first six seasons. But instead of wondering about the implications of Digimon in the real world, they leave the kids alone with their sassy pets. Other kids saw it all; they’re fine with it. They keep it simple, while still offering up a clean resolution to everything, combined with a final battle that lives up to the hype. With all the disappointments of the series baked in, the least it could do was manage an ending within its means. To that, at least, we can be happy it was successful.
My Grade: A-
Loose Data:
Hope you weren’t playing a drinking game taking a shot for every Our War Game homage. The episode leads off with Omegamon flying through a network-like tunnel and it never really lets up at any point in the battle.
They make a big show of the other six occupying Negamon’s outer body to weaken the core, but there isn’t much correlation shown to suggest that affecting much. But it’s nice that the other six got to feel useful in the final battle. And while it’s certainly appropriate that Seraphimon and Ophanimon are leading the way, it is unusual to think about Takeru and Hikari heading up the troops.
Considering it’s the first time we’ve had a good Digimon introduced stronger than the one that showed up in episode two, Alter-S didn’t get a whole ton of screentime. He showed up, more or less one-shotted Negamon, then was back to regular Omegamon before the end of his monologue. As far as midnight hour emergency power-ups (Crimson Mode, X7 Superior, that sort of thing), this is one of the weakest.
Omegamon talking about “endless potential” sure hits differently after Kizuna, doesn’t it? He’s talking more about Digimon in general while Kizuna was about the limitations of the Chosen-Digimon partnership, but still…
Given the season’s dedication to showing the Digital World outside of battle, the montage of locations carrying on with life is great, and lined with little sights like BanchoMamemon graduating finishing school, the Mimi statue at the gem mine, and Petaldramon, Andromon, and Guardromon all still petrified under flowers.
One cute little touch/nod to the original series… Yamato and Takeru are meeting in Shibuya.
The digital gate Koshiro is trying to create resembles the weird pop-up he received in episode one that we all thought was going to be interesting and relevant and we never saw again.
And finally, congrats to Leomon for surviving a series! His reward is spending the rest of eternity helping Wisemon babysit.

Coming Soon: Attempted Babysitting
I am pleased to announce that pre-orders are now open for my newest book, Attempted Babysitting, which will be releasing simultaneously on both Amazon and Audible.
Here is the blurb:
Cuddles might just be the most curmudgeonly guinea pig in the entire multiverse, so how is he going to handle being asked to babysit a young dragon and a young goddess? Simple. He’ll find someone else to handle the problem for him, and who better than a vampire in search of coin?
After missions involving accursed, long-lost kingdoms, ancient draco-hydras, and multiple eldritch horrors, Jonathan is ecstatic when he is offered the chance to earn a pile of money babysitting. Of course, his joy is short-lived. Not only is his client a grumpy, talking guinea pig with seemingly limitless power but the children he wants him to babysit are a young dragon and a young goddess.
But he really needs the money, and surely it can’t be that bad? After all, how awful could a dragon named Spot be? And surely Young Death can’t actually be the daughter of Death, can she? Jonathan is going to find out that babysitting might just be the scariest thing he’s ever done.
The horrors of Mordrath have nothing on a hungry dragon and a curious goddess.
To celebrate the opening of pre-orders for Attempted Babysitting, I’m pleased to announce that anyone who pre-orders will receive the following pre-order bonuses!
A limited-edition scale-replica of Jonathan’s castle, complete with Jonathan action figure with eight points of articulation
An authentic Spot-styled backpack
An authentic Young Death hoodie
A super-limited-edition, deluxe Cuddles plush toy
Don’t delay, pre-order Attempted Babysitting today and enjoy not only a fantastic story but also some excellent goodies!

The 19 Creepiest and Weirdest Things Children Have Actually Said
1. This boy who probably needs an exorcism: I work at a summer camp and one day I was playing with this kid who was jumping off of things and onto me. I said, “Hey, be careful. If you kill me I can’t play with you anymore.” He looked me dead in the eyes and said, “No, but I can play with you.”
2. The scariest moment of this parent’s life: I woke up to find my 3-year-old son lying in bed next to me. I asked how he got in my bed, and he said he came to protect me from “the light eyes” that were standing over me while I was sleeping.
3. This little girl who deserves her own horror movie: I was babysitting a family friend’s kid, and it was just the two of us in the home. She looked around and whispered to me, “We’re not alone in this house.”
4. This paranormal activity: My mother was babysitting my daughter while I was at a doctor’s appointment and said, “Oh no, Grandma. Mama’s not coming any more today. She was in a bad, bad accident. She can’t come get us.” I had indeed been in an accident that almost killed me at that exact time. None of my family had yet been notified.
5. This real-life Poltergeist: I was babysitting and didn’t know how to turn off the TV, so it was just static. My 4-year-old cousin stared into the static and said, “I see the monster”.
6. This insane Freaky Friday exchange: My sister, Hailey, was born exactly two months after our great-grandmother died. One day Hailey woke up and informed us it was her 95th birthday. When we tried to reason with her she started crying, saying that her real name was Irene (my granny’s name), not Hailey. This lasted all day, and the next day she didn’t remember anything.
7. This frightening premonition: On our way to the theme park, my little cousin once told me, “You’re going to die today.”
8. This child who belongs in The Sixth Sense: My little cousin said her imaginary friend “Chucky” told her to kill her dad. It turns out they used to have a pool in their backyard that was covered up after the last owner committed suicide. His name was Chuy, but my little cousin couldn’t pronounce it so she called him Chucky.
9. The scariest future doctor in the world: We were on a boat on vacation and my 4-year-old cousin got really close to me and whispered in my ear, “I want to be a doctor so I can watch children die.”
10. This unnerving question: In the middle of the night, my little sister turned to me and said, “Do you hear them talking?” But it was dead silent…
11. This story that belongs in a Stephen King novel: My son told me about a “dead woman with blue skin, no hair, and black eyes” who supposedly lived in our old apartment. He said he watched her follow us outside and try to get in our car but there was no room so she stood outside and watched us leave while waving goodbye.
12. This playful game gone awry: I was babysitting a 2-year-old boy. We were playing with blocks and he was laughing, when he suddenly turned to me and said, “I’m gonna shoot your head off.” We played hide and seek that night and I was terrified of him finding me.
13. This devilish boy: My 3-year-old son and I were walking in a crowded mall. He likes to say “hi” to everyone. He started “hi,” “hi,” “hi,” as people walked by, but out of nowhere he pointed at a man and said, “You’re going to die,” and then he continued with his hellos. Super creepy.
14. This ghostly encounter: I’m a nanny for a toddler who’s still learning to talk. As we walked through our local cemetery, which is normal in our neighborhood, she pointed at the area above the graves, saying, “People! Look, people!” over and over again.
15. This haunting feeling: When I was really little I pointed to a tree outside my house and said to my family, “That tree is going to die.” No one thought anything of it, but the next morning it randomly fell over and crushed my grandpa’s car.
16. The scariest song this mom has ever heard: My 3-year-old son was softly singing while he was coloring. I stopped to listen, but I had never heard the song before. I asked where he learned it, and he said, “The lady in my bedroom sang it to me.”
17. NOPE: My sister described her ‘imaginary’ friend, saying, “He sits on my bed and waits for his mom. He’s not allowed to go home by himself because of his arm.” I asked what happened to his arm, and she said, “His mom ran him over when he was drawing with chalk. That’s why he’s always crying, because he doesn’t like being dead.”
18. This spooky occurrence: When I was about 4, my mom found me in the bathroom with all my Barbies, making them float facedown in the bath. When she asked what I was doing, I replied, “The man in the wardrobe told me if I didn’t do it, it would be my turn to swim facedown.”
19. And this frightening conclusion: I work with kids on the autism spectrum. One of them said, “They can see us, but we can’t see them.”
