I have this bad habit of buying a whole book series instead of reading the first and then continuing ... I just immediately forget everything when I read other things while waiting, uh, so my question, has anyone already read A Touch of Chaos by Scarlett St. Clair?
I just need to know if they stay childfree, like I already have all the other books already (stupid me) but I'd still wanna know because I'd just skip the last book in the worst case because my tokophobia is raging and it doesn't help when people say they get a wonderful happy ever after because the definition is different for everybody 🫠

A Touch of Darkness || Scarlett St. Clair || Hades x Persephone Saga #1 || 379 pages Top 3 Genres: Fantasy / Romance / Mythology
Synopsis: Persephone is the Goddess of Spring by title only. The truth is, since she was a little girl, flowers have shriveled at her touch. After moving to New Athens, she hopes to lead an unassuming life disguised as a mortal journalist.
Hades, God of the Dead, has built a gambling empire in the mortal world and his favorite bets are rumored to be impossible.
After a chance encounter with Hades, Persephone finds herself in a contract with the God of the Dead and the terms are impossible: Persephone must create life in the Underworld or lose her freedom forever.
The bet does more than expose Persephone’s failure as a goddess, however. As she struggles to sow the seeds of her freedom, love for the God of the Dead grows—and it’s forbidden.

HERA AND ZEUS: FANCAST A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair
Hera Goddess of Women, Marriage and Childbirth (Blake Lively)
Zeus God of Thunder and Lightning (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau)
“Hades did not dislike the goddess, but he also did not like her. For him, she was neutral territory. Hera’s vengeful nature was often spurred by Zeus, his infidelity the crux of many of her outbursts. In most instances, Hades had a hard time blaming her for her outrage. After all, Zeus and Hera’s marriage was built on deceit, but her cruelness was misplaced, always directed towards those who were often victims of Zeus themselves.” - A Game of Retribution by Scarlett. St Clair

I’ve just finished ATOD after it was the only book to catch my eye in the bookstore I visited and would really appreciate a full order of how to read your books for the best experience possible and also so I can appreciate them fully.
We say the order should be:
A Touch of Darkness
A Game of Fate
A Touch of Ruin
A Game of Retribution
A Touch of Malice
A Game of Gods
That should prep you for A Touch of Chaos releasing on March 12th which is mult-pov.

Here we go… THE END
From 04.05. till 08.05.2023 I’ve read A touch of darkness by Scarlett St. Clair.
I didn’t thought that I would get back to greek mythology this quickly after reading The Song of Achilles last month but here we are! A Touch of Darkness is a absolute brilliant start of a series I want to continue as quickly as possible. The story line is in my eyes gorgeous and how Scarlett St. Clair captured the love and desire in both of the protagonists eyes is insane. I am not into books where the reading style is in the narrative perspective but A Touch of Darkness worked out pretty well for me. I also love how the author found during the book a place for different styles of the book title as chapter titles. Like A Touch of Bitterness, A Touch of xy, A Touch of Darkness. As a reader you have to accept that this is just a fictional story. There aren’t any historical facts or anything that could be real like in The Song of Achilles. But beside this, A Touch of Darkness will be my favorite book of the month! - 5/5 🖤

Adrian x Isolde (book 2): Queen of Myth and Monsters by Scarlett St. Clair
The next book in the epic fantasy series by USA Today bestselling author Scarlett St. Clair.
Isolde, newly coronated queen, has finally found a king worthy of her in the vampire Adrian. But their love for each other has cost Isolde her father and her homeland. With two opposing goddesses playing mortals and vampires like chess pieces against one another, Isolde is uncertain who her allies are in the vampire stronghold of Revekka.
Now, as politics in the Red Palace grow more underhanded and a deadly blood mist threatens all of Cordova, Isolde must trust in the bond she's formed with Adrian, even as she learns troubling information about his complicated past.

My Review: 4/5 Stars
Recovering from the losses, betrayal, and new revelations of their recent battle, Isolde and Adrian still have plenty of trouble coming their way. But there are plenty of lights in the darkness. The most important is Isolde remembering who she was in her past life and being reunited with Adrian. They still have a lot to overcome and learn about one another but in the end they always find a way back to each other. Together they will have to find a way to stop the forces that threaten to tear them and their home apart. While also become unwilling chess pieces in the game of the goddesses. Plenty of romance, action, secrets, betrayals, and just about anything you can expect in a fantasy world like this. This story will keep you on your toes from beginning to end. The world is interesting and different from other vampire and fantasy books I have read. Another great book in this series and I'm looking forward to the next one!

Rating: 4.5/5
Book Blurb: From the brilliant mind of A Touch of Darkness's bestselling author Scarlett St. Clair comes a YA crossover in a darkly unique fantasy world.
Anora Silby can see the dead and turn spirits into gold coins, two things she would prefer to keep secret as she tries to lead a normal life at her new school. After all, she didn't change her identity for nothing.Hiding her weirdness is just one of many challenges. By the end of her first day, she's claimed the soul of a dead girl on campus and lost the coin. Turns out, the coin gives others the ability to steal souls, and when a classmate ends up dead, there's no mistaking the murder weapon.Navigating the loss of her Poppa, the mistrust of her mother, the attention of gorgeous and enigmatic Shy, and Roundtable, an anonymous student gossip app threatening to expose her, are hard enough. Now she must find the person who stole her coin before more lives are lost, but that means making herself a target for the Order, an organization that governs the dead on Earth—and they want Anora and her powers for themselves.
Review:
A girl who can see the dead finds herself dragged into a world of ghosts, shapeshifting warrior crows, a forbidden romance, and a murderer on the loose. Anora Silby can see the dead... and she can turn their spirits into gold coins. After a horrible incident in her old school her mother has moved her to a new one, far away from the incident in hopes for a new start. Anora keeps her abilities a secret but it’s kind of hard to remain calm when you see dead bodies and ghosts... and it doesn’t help that the new school she transferred to use to be an asylum and on the first day the ghost of a dead girl is following her. Anora wants nothing more than to be normal but when she accidentally claims the soul of a ghost of a dead girl on campus and turns her into a coin... only to lose the coin things go wrong. Turns out the coin gives otheres the ability to steal souls and when a classmate ends up dead, Anora knows it just has to be the coin. It doesn’t help that she doesn’t know who she can trust with her secrets and who is actually trying to use her. Throw in a handsome but mysterious boy named Shy, a girl who absolutely loathes her name Natalie, a sad boy who smokes and has ghosts of his own named Thane, and a new friend named Lennon... but who among them can she truly trust? Betrayals, romance, and friendship all come together as Anora must navigate who she truly is and what her abilities actually mean. Also she’ll have to decide if she can trust the one boy that she can’t seem to stay away from who seems so familiar to her despite them never having met. This is the first book in the series and I actually really liked it! I enjoyed the mystery and the magic system was fun, and the romance was a pretty sweet one, and thankfully there was no love triangle (gosh I was so worried there would be one haha). Overall,  a great read and I can’t wait to see where the next book goes and what happens to Anora and Shy!

A Game of Fate
While this book followed along the same story timeline / plot as A Touch of Darkness, it somehow was able to do that and also create new subplots! I definitely prefer Hades' POV so far from what I've read of both and I can't help but wonder why when...
Tumblr media
HAHAHA okay now that the joke is out of my system lololol let's talk about it!
I feel like I read this book and the language was a lot more romanticized. The way Hades spoke of Persephone and how he feels for her had me SWOONING while I annotated tf out of my book. I somehow don't remember feeling that way when I read A Touch of Darkness. However, that makes sense with Persephone's conflicted feelings towards Hades. I just hope that in the next book we get more of it from Persephone's POV as well.
The spicy scenes were also a bit excessive in comparison to A Touch of Darkness, there literally came a part where I was like DAMN HADES KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS FOR A FEW PAGES godssss. (BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING! lmao!!! I JUST HAD TO SAY IT!!!)
I also truly loved the introduction and interactions with the other gods. I feel like it opened up an entirely new realm and with Persephone embracing her Divinity, I hope we see more of her interacting with all of them as well.

Hi! I’m a big fan and I’ve read almost all your book. I just finished King of battle and blood and I loved it, especially the bonus chapter and I wanted to ask if there was any posibility that you will publish a book about Daroc and Sorin’s relationship, thank you for your work! 🫶
Thank you so much!
Probably not a book but I do have a plan for a prequel novella for King of Battle and Blood which would include more info on both of them. Also, as the series continues, one or both will have their own POV.
