Sweets and Puddings OC Questions

Isabelle is a huge sucker for romantic stories of all kinds. You can find her books all around her room. And its not like she is trying to hide it, as some might be lieing around here and there in her house or even her shop, but she might not wanna tell the truth about the sheer amount she has been reading.

And she will very much not talk about how she scribbled some texts about herself in such romantic stories or how she thought about finding her own prince or something. Nono, nobody will hear about that! And do NOT open that drawer, thank you! (It got magically sealed once she figured out how to do that. Nobody will ever get to see whats inside!)

Who was your first OC?

Do you still write your first OC?

Funny enough, my first, multi-shipped OC is the one in my endless q'd Yu-Gi-Oh oneshots, Hikari. I never used her online because when I made her, social media was spread out between Gaia and Xanga (xenga? It was basically psuedo-myspace) and I mostly wrote in my notebooks stories involving her.

I started to write her again. Before, she actually used to be a self-insert, but she's become a fleshed out character after I reworked her when writing those oneshots. Honestly, I felt almost...carthartic, writing her again. Like returning to an old friend.

Honestly...? At this stage, I really could not tell you. I’ve been writing since I was about nine/ten years old; I got into Neopets around that age, wanted to see what the chatrooms were all about (this was back in the day where you could send a letter to their head office and get approved), found the roleplay forum and did not look back.

If I had to hazard a guess that wasn’t like ‘generic high school roleplay’, ‘fantasy roleplay’ or anything like that, I would say it was Kingdom Hearts. It’s where I met my partner, and we think we were both anywhere around 10-13 at the time. Unless Neopets itself counts as a fandom, but I’d argue it was more a platform where I found fandom RP. Either or!

Is your OC generally calm and unperturbed by others? Or are they quick to get angry or frustrated?

Overall, Aoii is pretty calm when it comes to dealing with others as a whole! She’s a very “live and let live” type of person, so she goes with the flow where she can. If anything, it’s her energy and behavior that would frustrate others before she’d get upset herself! She likes to “out-annoy” certain people too for fun when she’s bored and has a good relationship with them

25. Which area/location would you live in if given the opportunity?

Like Lily, I love the Lavender Beds. I grew up in a wooded area so its very calming, all the rushing water (even tho I severely dislike getting into the water to swim) is good white noise. Its got a homey feeling that I love. Also, because the beds is a 'town' I don't have to worry about the spookiness of the wooded night like I did when I was younger lol

Annual Amorous Asks

Nomin's always more of someone who prefers their displays of affection more away from everyone and more behind closed doors. It's not really her being shy about it, it's more that whenever she and Estinien are with the others, it's usually for something important, and they're both goal-/action-oriented people. So...not a lot of people really recognize that they're actually together a lot of the time.

If they have the downtime and comfort of being able to just breathe and enjoy one another's presence, though, maybe there'll be some times of public hand holding or other displays of affection. Most of the time, out in the public eye, they're very hands off. No real distractions from what they're doing since being out in public for either of them seems to indicate a reason for being there.

One of her best friends right now is Daena! They kind of stumbled into each other, and now they visit each other every now and then! (And i might add, Daena is the character of my gf <3)

The other one would be Nalama - a lalafell she had met during her time in Ul'dah, when she learned in the weavers guild. I don't have a good picture from them, as of now... but i'll try to add it later!!

14. A solid tie between Limsa Lominsa and Radz-at-Han. Limsa was her first time seeing the coast and a coastal city so the impression it left is enormous. The architecture, the culture, the love of freedom and self determination as much as cooperation was magnetic for someone seeking purpose. Access to the sea and a culture centered around the ocean was also a direct counter to her original lifestyle. The concept of it was something she never imagined, therefore every visit brings wonder at the idea of its existence. Its like a dream city brought about by sheer will.

Their politics on the other hand are disappointing, with the way they treat Kobolds and Sahagin. One because they commit war crimes and oppression, two for a people who value self determination, merit, and freedom, she thought they’d recognize that in other groups sovereignty. They covet freedom yet rob others of theirs if they don’t submit. At that point its a privilege not a right which contradicts the meaning of freedom and all you’re left with is a lie. There are ways to handle their Tempered without resorting to dehumanization and racism, then blaming it on self defense. She’s glad they’re moving away from it now, but that doesn’t change what they have to answer for nor the long road of reform ahead.

Radz-at-Han on the other hand is Limsa without the complications. She’s not stupid enough to think they have no problems but they are better at those they do have. They are the only state with a true community focus who actively learn from their ancestral mistakes, from their bloodshed. Vrtra is the embodiment of a compassionate leader who values everyone under his charge, who values the weight of every life. He is fair, loving, humble,and wise. He makes his choices after deliberation and extensive advisement. If Vaste were going to live under a state leader then she’d pick him.

Also the colors! The architecture of Radz-at-Han is stunning to match its living vibrancy. If Limsa shows the beauty of white stone against the sea then Radz-at-Han is a rainbow carved from cliffs. Thavnair cuisine is like no other and the sheer number of spices used in harmony is its own achievement. I imagine she and Gan continue their cooking education there after the Bismarck.

She’s corralled the besties there at least once for a group vacation just because. Limsa feels ethereal while Radz-at-Han feels closest to home. I’m not sure she’d live in either spot once she’s married but it’d be great to visit once the world re-stabilizes. I’m undecided. Maybe a good amount of time in what was Doma then later Thavnair? Have to think about it now.

24. 100% yes this is something she's already done multiple times. Whenever it happens she'd rather be the sole person taking the consequences after, because of her low esteem and capability. If it's physical then she knows she's the best option in a fight since death means nothing, aside from her abilities. When it's intangible she knows she's the most secure in her social position so it feels logical that she should martyr herself. Ensuring any threats are ended as quickly and efficiently as possible takes highest priority. The times she would let them fester are few and happen if they'd lead to easier breaking up later on. That's how she believes she best protects everyone.

And also the literal answer is yes- she's capable of evacuating any bystanders in seconds before an enemy is likely to escape. She'd use her powers constructively like that. The ship is sinking and she may be on it if that's what it takes. She has to make sure anyone who's a threat is dead.

26. She's not nosey in fact she wants the majority of people to stop pointing their nose at her for everything. It causes her emotional burnout having others not even ask before they foist themselves or ultimatums on her 24/7 365. She has understanding and compassion obviously but it can only apply so much at once and this overwhelming wave drains her further toward shutting out. This is context dependent usually, all depends on who’s asking and why. She’s forever community and mutual aid focused due to her upbringing.

HOWEVER, this doesn't cancel out what she happens to over hear if people gossip or spread a rumor enough as well as body language. Then she might take it to heart and want to know more depending on what the topic is. These days this typically revolves around what's said about her loved ones rather than herself when she was growing up. It's a habit from those days she carried over as a defense mechanism.

Generally too part of controlling her super hearing involves blocking out conversations that'd make her nosey. For her sanity if nothing else. Unless what you say or do is genuinely concerning or threatening or of enough interest then she doesn't care. It's not her place unless it is basically.

🎨 Do you have any art of your OCs that you have drawn or had commissioned by others? Which character do you have the most art for?

I have! A fair amount of art! For a lot of characters.

Most of them are of Syla, between comms and gift art! My partner is a very talented artist, so he ends up drawing me a bunch of doodles and stuff and I'm SO blessed by him. And I commission a fair amount of art, mostly through twitter!

I just don't ever, share any of it. Mostly because I'm either highly embarrassed for no reason or I feel like it's met with general annoyance/disinterest. So I tend to hoard is all away and not bother people with it.

I will now proceed to look at this folder full of Syla art.
