This commentary entitled “Europe Died in Auschwitz” was authored by Sebastián Vivar Rodriguez and first published on November 21, 2004, by the Spanish website Gentiuno, and then later, published in a Spanish newspaper. But no one by that name has been found to exist, so the author's name is likely a pseudonym.
""I walked down the streets in Barcelona and suddenly discovered a terrible truth: Europe died in Auschwitz.
We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a group of people who represented culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people, who made great contributions to the world, and thus changed the world.
The contribution of today's Jewish people is felt in all areas of life: medicine, technology, international trade, science, the arts, and above all, as the conscience of the world.
Look at any donors' board at any symphony, art museum, theater, art gallery, science center, etc. You will see many Jewish surnames. These are the people who were burned. Of the 6,000,000 who died, how many would have grown up to be gifted musicians, doctors, artists, philanthropists?
And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the diseases of racism and bigotry, Europe opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.
They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime. Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.
And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition. We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.
What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.
Recently, the UK debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it 'offends' the Muslim population, which claims it never occurred. It is not removed as yet. However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving in to it.
It is now approximately seventy years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, twenty million Russians, ten million Christians, and nineteen-hundred Catholic priests who were murdered, raped, burned, starved, beaten, experimented on, and humiliated.
Now, more than ever--with Iran, among others, claiming the Holocaust to be 'a myth'--it is imperative to make sure the world "never forgets."
This is intended to reach 400 million people. Be a link in the memorial chain, and help distribute this around the world.
How many years will it be before the attack on the World Trade Center 'NEVER HAPPENED' because it offends some MUSLIM in the United States?
Take a minute to forward, reboot, and pass it along. We must wake up the world before it's too late. ""

FIMBLES HEAD?
I found this on google while searching for some fimbles behind the scenes pictures. I’ll post the rest after this one but omg it looks super funny. Apparently this is from a museum in the UK I think the website says “science museum group” and there’s pictures of the fimbles mascots. It has a description of the image too that says “Fimbo Fimble costume - head, 2002-2004. Several costumes in three big black flight cases (2012-5118/712/1, /2, /3).”
“The Fimbles was a BBC programme designed for pre-school children which aired from 2002-2004. The series lasted 200 episodes. It was in much the same vein as Teletubbies and Tweenies. The Fimbles were Fimbo, Florrie and Baby Pom, who all lived in a bright, lush, and colourful place called Fimble Valley.”
It says it’s a prop in the “bbc heritage collection” interesting. I’ll try to find more info

Aust Soc Archivists lightning talk 5 Sep 2023 Melbourne
Proposed Title: Participatory archives in Australia - adding to the knowledge base Abstract details, max 300 words - What are the details? Provide an abstract or other description of what your proposed contribution will cover and involve: Participatory appraisal has been discussed amongst archivists for decades. There is literature reporting on experiences in the UK and the US but there is limited reportage of the practice of building archives with communities in Australia. In January 2023 a project focused on a low-social capital suburb in Canberra was exhibited. This lightning talk reports back with some insights. A challenge for participatory appraisal identified through this project was scale – if successful, the volume of content quickly becomes overwhelming. Another challenge is the responsibility that goes with accepting content from contributors. Expectations are set up that the content will be used or shared. And crucially, participation means everyone. Strategies are needed to connect with contributors that goes beyond relationships in easy reach for the archivist based on existing connections. Recognising who is likely to be overlooked and thinking about how the project might connect with the aspirations of those community groups offered a starting point in this project. Demonstrating that those voices are wanted and welcome is another part of the puzzle. Some strategies include partnerships and focusing on community events where there has been broad participation. A final lesson comes from social engaged art, a practice that focuses on community participation. This calls on the archivist to recognise their standpoint, the worldview they bring. Our sector has recognised that collections and building them is not neutral. For archivists, there remains much to do to work out how to meaningfully share that power and authority as collections are built.  I am submitting a proposal for the following:: Lightning Talks – informal short talk of 7 mins plus 5 minutes for Q & A My contribution fits in with the conference theme as follows: The challenge of developing archival collections with communities is ongoing, this short talk makes a contribution to that discussion.  The format of my presentation is: Lightning talk presenting 3 key challenges and some strategies to address them.
Brief biography (max. 200 words): Dr Louise Curham is an archivist, artist and lecturer in the Libraries, Archives, Records and Information Science discipline at Curtin University. As an archivist, Louise worked for over a decade at National Archives of Australia in audiovisual preservation and government information. Other work in archives and records has been in community archives and museums. As an artist, Louise has been part of Australia’s experimental and media arts scene since 1992

Paradox is a 2009 British science fiction police drama, starring Tamzin Outhwaite as Detective Inspector Rebecca Flint. Written by Lizzie Mickery and produced by Clerkenwell Films for the BBC, it was filmed and set in Manchester, England.
Flint heads a police team played by Mark Bonnar and Chiké Okonkwo, working with a scientist played by Emun Elliott, as they attempt to prevent disasters foretold by images being sent from the future.
The series aired on BBC One and BBC HD during November and December 2009. It received mostly negative reviews from critics, and it was not renewed for a second season.
Synopsis[edit]
Detective Inspector Rebecca Flint (Tamzin Outhwaite), Detective Sergeant Ben Holt (Mark Bonnar) and Detective Constable Callum Gada (Chiké Okonkwo) investigate images being broadcast to an eminent astrophysicist Dr Christian King's (Emun Elliott) laboratory, which appear to show catastrophic events in the future.[1][2]
Production[edit]
Murray Ferguson, chief executive of Clerkenwell Films, said that they were looking for something "different from the traditional formula of investigating a crime that has already taken place" and premise for the series, the police having knowledge of future incidents, was developed. Lizzie Mickery (The 39 Steps, The State Within) was chosen to write the series. She said she has "always been interested in the decisions you're not aware you are making". The series was based on the "moral and emotional implications of having the ability to change the future". The series was then commissioned by Ben Stephenson and Jay Hunt for BBC One with executive producers Patrick Spence, for BBC Northern Ireland, and Ferguson. The series was produced by Marcus Wilson and directed by Simon Cellan Jones and Omar Madha.[3] Filming began in Greater Manchester, England in June 2009,[1] with the majority of filming in the Northern Quarter district[citation needed] of the City of Manchester. The Imperial War Museum North is used as the backdrop for Dr King's place of employment, Prometheus Labs.
Filming was completed over 13 weeks and Fergison said: "Each episode is set within a very short time period so the changeable weather caused havoc."[3]
Cancellation[edit]
On 25 February 2010, David Bentley of the Coventry Telegraph writing in their Geek Files blog, quoted an unnamed BBC spokesman: "In spite of a great cast and production team, Paradox did not find its audience in the way that we had hoped".[4]
Episodes[edit]
No. Title Directed by Written by Original air date UK viewers (millions) 1 "Episode 1" Simon Cellan Jones Lizzie Mickery 24 November 2009 4.81 million Astrophysicist Christian King receives multiple ambiguous images ostensibly referencing a looming catastrophe. DI Rebecca Flint is called in to investigate. Can a disaster be averted? 2 "Episode 2" Simon Cellan Jones Lizzie Mickery 1 December 2009 2.94 million Still reeling from events of the previous day, the group attempts to piece together new clues and prevent a tragedy, with DI Flint unaware of potentially devastating personal consequences. 3 "Episode 3" Simon Cellan Jones Lizzie Mickery 8 December 2009 3.32 million 4 "Episode 4" Omar Madha Mark Greig 15 December 2009 3.12 million 5 "Episode 5" Omar Madha Lizzie Mickery 22 December 2009 3.11 million The series finale finds a disillusioned Dr. King working with the team to prevent an attack that will have dire consequences for each team member. Consequences of prior failures result in multiple moral dilemmas. Who will live, and who will die?
Reception[edit]
The series peaked at 4.81 million viewers for the first episode.
In The Daily Telegraph, James Walton said that despite the "exciting" climactic scenes, "[s]adly, by then the show's complete absence of internal logic (or, if you prefer, its overwhelming silliness) meant that it was beyond help."[5] Comparing with American series FlashForward and ITV1's Collision, Alex Hardy from The Times said that the former "is currently doing a much better job at such space-time contemplation" and that the "'working back from an accident' format unfolded much more deliciously" in the latter.[6] Following the second episode, The Times' Andrew Billen said that although the last 10 minutes were exciting, "[t]he difficulty lay in the 50 minutes of scratchy dialogue, robotic acting and general misery that it took to get there."[7] Jeremy Clay from the Leicester Mercury also liked the climax but said "the rest was utterly daft",[8] the programme tried the patience of The Observer's Phil Hogan[9] and Tom Sutcliffe from The Independent said that "the Prometheus Innovation Satellite Downlink offers a perfect acronym for the state you'd have to be in to take this kind of thing seriously".[10]

After university, Alexander trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst prior to serving with the Blues and Royals. In 2009 Alexander graduated from the Royal Air Force College Cranwell, joining the RAF Search and Rescue Force in early 2010.
Alexander performs official duties and engagements on behalf of the monarch since 2007 even though he’s not a full-time working royal yet.
He holds patronage with over 10 charitable and military organisations, including
- Tusk Trust: An African conservation charity, based in UK.
- NHS Charities Together: NHS Charities Together is the membership organisation for more than 240 of the NHS charities across the U.K. It provides a forum for nationwide campaigns; specialist advice and guidance; bespoke events and training opportunities.
- London International Youth Science Forum: To empower young people from all backgrounds to pursue their potential in science and engineering.
- Practical Action: Helps rural people in developing countries to help themselves through skills and technology.
- RedR UK: Charity providing trained engineers to relief agencies after humanitarian disasters.
- Institute of Advanced Motorists: An independent organisation working for responsible motoring and road safety research.
- Aerospace Bristol: Aerospace Bristol will be a new, £18.6m, nine-acre museum at Bristol Filton Airfield which will trace the pioneering stories of innovation over the last century to include the future of air and space travel.
- Ambition: Voluntary organistaion providing sporting, creative and training opportunities for young people.
- Care for Veterans: Provides residential nursing care, rehabilitation, respite and end of life care to physically disabled ex-Service personnel and their families.
- Welsh Rugby Union: Sporting association for rugby in Wales.
At the age of 21, Alexander was appointed a Counsellor of State; he first served in that capacity when the Queen attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in the same year. In July 2007, he embarked on his first solo public engagements on an overseas tour of New Zealand, travelling to participate in World War II commemorations. According to author Tina Brown, he had, like his father, expressed a desire to become Governor-General of Australia. In 2011, the Queen set up a private office for Alexander, William and Harry with David Manning as their adviser. Manning accompanied Alexander on his first official tour in January 2011 as he toured Auckland and Wellington; Alexander opened the new building of the Supreme Court of New Zealand and was welcomed by a Māori chief. The visit spurred crowds of "many thousands", with positive public reception compared to that of his mother's 1985 tour.
Upon graduation from university, Alexander interned in land management at Chatsworth House and in banking at HSBC. To prepare for his eventual management of the Duchy of Cornwall.
He’s been very private about his relationships and has been linked to multiple woman countless of times even if there’s been zero evidence. He’s a very private person and has a tight knit group of friends. If he hears that you may have been talking, he will cut you off. He definitely doesn’t like the fact that his business is out there for everyone to see.

... Beagle B.206X ‘G-ARRM’ by Alan Wilson Via Flickr: c/n B206/001 Built in 1961 as the prototype Bassett, then known as the Beagle 206. She was flown by Beagle (British Executive and General Aviation Ltd) for trials and as a demonstrator, until withdrawn from use in December 1964. After moving around a lot, including at Duxford in the 1970’s, she became part of the Brooklands museum in 1990 and was loaned out, first to the Bristol Aero Collection and then to the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust (FAST) in 2011 after she had been restored by a volunteer group at Shoreham (her original birthplace!). She returned to Brooklands from FAST in August 2017 and has now been loaned to the Aeropark, arriving in March 2019. At the time of our visit she was being painted prior to being re-assembled.
