How does an "Entrepreneurial Mindset" learning make our lives better?
(My Entrepreneurial Mind Journey: What do I Understand from the Introductory Class Discussion)
Tumblr media
All throughout the introduction of Entrepreneurship to us, I've come to realize its' essence and how it affects our daily lives. As a young woman that has been introduced to the effects and advantage of starting a business, it was a great and aspiring opportunity at the same time a huge pressure in my self, overthinking many ways on How can I obtain such success at a young age?
I have learned that:
A person who undertakes the risk of starting a new business venture is called an entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurship is crucial to everyone, as it has the capacity to improve standards of living at the same time in making money. Not only for their own benefits but for the sake of all that is involve.
Entrepreneurs also serves to cope in the fast pace of change in the world through emerging new and improved innovations, where new and improved products and things enable markets to be developed (high employment opportunity rate will emerged).
Entrepreneurship is high-risk, but also it can be high-reward.
There's so many opportunities and guidance we (students) have right now to develop our business mindset skills, all we need to do is listen and act upon the process and master up our courage to take some risk and have a perseverance in every hardship we encounter, to realized our endeavors. It was all just a matter of guts, reselience, initiative and tenacity to accomplish what we aim for.
I have learn through discussion and reading various articles that having a business mindset is not about building and coming up with new product for you to sale and earn money, because that's also considered us one (business). But it is more than that, being an Entrepreneur is broad, if you want to become a millionaire or (successful to avoid being edgy) at a young age why don't you think of something that will earn you money for your two hours of just scrolling in facebook everyday. Successful people preserve and use that time to brainstorm ideas for possible business and elevate their sales while some just waste time doing useless things.
Tumblr media
Entrepreneurship thought us how to value every single minute of our time, for them "time is gold!", because money can be earned if it is wasted by failure businesses but the time you've spent laying down in your bed, watching k-drama and anime, facebook scrolling and video streaming you're just literally doing nothing for you to shine and be rich, all you do is give yourself bounty of illness and diseases that makes yourself unhealthy in any ways, also it will negatively affects your brain functioning.
That is why laziness is widely known as a major cause of poverty, this chronic malady causes people of today ought to do temporary hapiness instead of conserving time for unlimited luxury. That's why it is an advantage for younger generations to be introduced to the world of Entrepreneurship where everything is not going to be easy, but at a time it's going to be super worth it.
We all know that most of us isn't blessed to have this unique abilities but by learning and focusing our goal to certain incapabilities, it will certainly, lead us to improvement. Nothing is farther from the truth. They may be superior but to think that we are still a human and that we are all the same! We are all born with qualities that can make us great entrepreneurs, if not in business maybe in life for sure. We just need to find what we're good at and develop those skills and qualities even if we’re not building businesses.
Tumblr media
Introducing Entrepreneurship to schools has awaken the curiosity and innovation skills of the youth that allows us to participate and go beyond the limits and explore the uncertainties risk has obtain. As we students, grow fond to the idea of Entrepreneurship our curiosities drive us to understand how good it is to help others, solve a real life problems at the same time learn to make money even if we're still in a school uniform. Through step by step learning and guidance of adults (parents and teachers) we students are able to:
Acquire and apply daily learning
Developed multi level learning channels
Develop conceptual perspective
Inhances innovative personality ability
Adopt to changes
Learn to trust ourselves
Become independent
Tumblr media
Those aspects may not be complete but as long as we can now identify it's influence to success, it was easy for us to understand and admire the characteristics and success of entrepreneurs. Those that have entreprenurial mindsets are able to withstand every possible problems that will come. Since they are the type of people that has different perspective and mindsets. They accept every downfall and challenges as an opportunity. They foresee failure as the chance to victory.
These online entrepreneur classes help us open our minds to the truths of reality. With this subject it is indeed a guide for younger generations to learn how to handle and develop our innovative and entrepreneurial mindsets so that we will able to practice ourselves how to carefully evaluate every decisions we make either profitable or not because our choices and determination in life is the one that will determine our success in the end of the journey. With this mindset, we the learners are able to recognize potentially profitable opportunities, generate creative solutions to important problems, assess and minimize risk, gather critical resources, and present solutions to interested people. By doing so, we can change ourselves into a better person with a clear set of goals and has a better understanding to other peoples perspectives. Hope to learn more ideas as we dig deeper through this topic.

Chemical Threat: Trump's EPA Approves Chlorpyrifos
On July 17, the Environmental Protection Agency, under Trump’s leadership, decided to reject a ban on the insecticide called chlorpyrifos which flies in the face of its very own study results and a 9th district court decision.
Chlorpyrifos (CPS) is an organophosphate pesticide patented by Dow Chemical Company in 1966. It is used on many crops (corn, soybeans, fruit and nut trees, Brussels sprouts, cranberries, broccoli, and cauliflower), animals, and in buildings to kill a number of pests (insects and worms). It acts on the nervous systems of insects by inhibiting the acetylcholinesterase enzyme.
In 2015 the EPA determined in a human health risk assessment that combined exposure to chlorpyrifos from food and drinking water in the U.S. likely exceeds safe levels, particularly for children. Studies have shown that exposure to Chlorpyrifos inhibits kids’ brain development causing lower IQ, Brian damage, and higher rates of autism. See studies below
Court orders EPA to ban chlorpyrifos
On August 9, 2018 the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has ordered the Environmental Protection Agency to finalize a proposed ban on the organophosphate insecticide chlorpyrifos. It gave the EPA 60 days to revoke all allowable limits in food and cancel all approved uses for the pesticide.
The deadline was never met and no action was taken by the EPA under Trump.
Trump’s Swampy Relationship with Dow Chemical
Dow Chemical Co. both disclosed making $1 million contributions to Trump’s inaugural committee in December 2016.
Dow Chemical Chairman and CEO Andrew Liveris attended the Trump victory rally in 2016 where he announced bringing 100 new jobs to Michigan.
Trump names Dow Chemical CEO Liveris to head Manufacturing Council
Scott Hutchins, named USDA’s chief scientist, has been with Dow Agrosciences and later Cortva since 1987.
Ken Isley, a 30-year Dow Agroscience/Corteva veteran, placed as lead of the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service
Ted Mckinney, after 19 years on Dow Agroscience’s government affairs team, made undersecretary for trade and foreign agricultural affairs.
Trump’s Department of Justice approves the merger of Dow and Dupont
Studies and those conclusions
Exposures of preschool children to chlorpyrifos and its degradation product 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridinol in their everyday environments by the Journal of Exposure Science & Environmental Epidemiology Conclusion: This study showed that TCP was measurable in several media and that these preschool children could be potentially exposed to chlorpyrifos and TCP through several pathways and routes. TCP may not be a reliable biomarker of exposure in children exposed to low levels of chlorpyrifos in their everyday environments. This research was important because urinary metabolites of other pesticides used as biomarkers of exposure may also be measurable in environmental media.
Environmental Health Perspectives, Vol. 119, No. 8, Prenatal Exposure to Organophosphates, Paraoxonase 1, and Cognitive Development in Childhood by Mount Sinai School of Medicine Conclusion: We found that prenatal maternal urinary dialkylphosphate metabolite concentrations were negatively associated with aspects of neurodevelopment at 12 and 24 months, and also at 6–9 years of age, in an urban, inner-city population. At the later ages, the evidence was strongest among the children of mothers with the PON1 192QQ genotype, which was present in approximately 30% of our population overall, although that varies according to racial ancestry. This important potential source of effect heterogeneity should be considered in future studies of organophosphate exposure.
Environmental Health Perspectives, Vol. 119, No. 8, Seven-Year Neurodevelopmental Scores and Prenatal Exposure to Chlorpyrifos, a Common Agricultural Pesticide by Columbia University Conclusion: We report evidence of deficits in Working Memory Index and Full-Scale IQ as a function of prenatal CPF exposure at 7 years of age. These findings are important in light of continued widespread use of CPF in agricultural settings and possible longer-term educational implications of early cognitive deficits.
Organophosphate Pesticide Exposure and Residential Proximity to Nearby Fields: Evidence for the Drift Pathway by the Cancer Prevention Research Program (and others click here) Conclusions: DMTP concentrations were higher in farmworkers than non-farmworkers (71 μg/L vs 6 μg/L) and in farmworker children than non-farmworker children (17 μg/L vs 8 μg/L). Compared to non-farmworker households, farmworker households had higher levels of azinphos-methyl (643 ng/g vs 121 ng/g) and phosmet (153 ng/g vs 50 ng/g). Overall, a 20% reduction in DMTP concentration was observed per mile increase in distance from farmland. Lower OP metabolite concentrations correlated with increasing distance from farmland.
Environmental Health Perspectives, Vol. 122, No. 10, Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Prenatal Residential Proximity to Agricultural Pesticides: The CHARGE Study by the University of California-Davis Conclusion: Children of mothers who live near agricul- tural areas, or who are otherwise exposed to organophosphate, pyrethroid, or carbamate pesticides during gestation may be at increased risk for neurodevelopmental disorders. Further research on gene–environment interactions may reveal vulnerable subpopulations.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross says he was open to signing Colin Kaepernick
There has been a lot of talk about NFL owners blocking their football people from signing Colin Kaepernick, but Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross insists that was not the case with his team after Ryan Tannehill got hurt.
Ross was a special guest at the “Detroit Homecoming” event Thursday night, which brought together successful natives of Detroit including Ross, Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and NBA star Draymond Green. The subject of Kaepernick’s national anthem protest came up at one point, and Ross said it did not deter him from employing the quarterback.
"A lot of people are staying away from (Kaepernick) and they don't want the controversy," Dolphins owner Stephen Ross says.

"This is a country where people are allowed to express themselves," Ross said.

Stephen Ross said he would have hired Kaepernick, but his coach wanted someone else who knew the Dolphins' offense.

The Dolphins chose to sign Jay Cutler instead of Kaepernick, which makes sense in their situation. Head coach Adam Gase worked with Cutler when the two were with the Denver Broncos, and Cutler enjoyed the most success of his career during that time.
For other teams, it’s much harder to believe that football factors were the only consideration in passing on Kaepernick. When you see someone like Scott Tolzien looking completely lost in Week 1, you have to wonder if the Indianapolis Colts would be better off with Kaepernick whether he fits their system or not.
One report claimed the Baltimore Ravens did not sign Kaepernick because their ownership blocked the move, but Ray Lewis has his own explanation for why the team decided against it.
