if you’ve seen the recent Scott interview, what were your thoughts on the glitchtrap and burntrap sections of the interview?

I have seen it now yeah! And I thought it was kinda funny that Glitchtrap and Burntrap were just filler names that ended up becoming the actual names once people got into the files.

As for how Burntrap was originally going to not be moving and stuff, and how Steel Wool ended up taking Security Breach a different direction that Scott initially intended, I think it's super interesting, even if probably inconvenient for Scott lol. It seems like Scott used Ruin to point the story more in the direction he wants it to go though, so it'll be cool to see where that heads.

I do want to note that I don't think this means base Security Breach is no longer relevant/canon like I think some people may be saying. It is still the game that ended up getting released after all, and Ruin relies pretty heavily on it even as it presumably gets the story stuff in there that Scott needs for later games and stuff

listen the box doesn't mean jack anyway. its contents haven't actually mattered since at least fnaf world. if scott wasn't sure whether people would accept what was inside of it back in 2015, there is no answer he could possibly give after nine years of buildup that would be satisfactory enough, especially after admitting that he had already changed it at least once before. we were never gonna find out what was in it. sure, having scott outright admit it is anticlimactic, but it's either that or just keep us guessing at a question without an answer forever.

So... as of recently, Dawko did another interview with scott cawthon, a Scott Cawthon interview 2.0 here To celebrate the tenth anniversary of FNAF, Scott decided to... 'reveal' what was in the box. It seems like it was a gag, right? something to dangle infront of the fandom and then SNATCH it away, yeah? ... i don't think so. you see... i decided to take a closer listen to it... and the point where scott is cut off with a 'connection lost', there IS indeed still SOMETHING being said there. I repeated it over and over, replaying it and replaying it... when i recognized that the last part may have very well been saying 'Bear'. after i realized that... my mind jumped to FAZBEAR.

listened to it again.... it would fit. syllables and all. FAZBEAR is in that box... meaning that the company of Fazbear.... William afton, Henry, Charolette Emily, The crying child, and whoever else has ever existed in the fnaf universe.... doesn't exist. Nothing of that universe is real despite us seeing it... The dead children aren't dead. The serial killer who killed them is purely a vessel for us to use as entertainment upon false slaughtered souls. I think that scott cawthon is being beyond meta.. is pulling a twin peaks, an Undertale. If Fazbear is inside of the box... metaphorically, something in that box wants outside of the box. something in that box wants to be apart of OUR WORLD because it's... 'real'. Something is trying to connect with us from the digital plane.. trying to grab our attention and implant itself into our minds because it knows its merely an idea. a creation, and the only way for it to survive is to be apart of our memories.

Screaming because if Vanny comes back I'll die happy. Her character could've been so much bigger than it was in SB, even in HW 2. To be fair i do think Cassie will probably be the next Vanny but if Vanessa does somehow make a return I'll be so happy even if its just a name drop or something. i am super excited to see what comes next though! that interview was great!

Has the Scott interview changed your thoughts on Burntrap being the Mimic? Personally, it does a little bit, but I find it very hard to believe that even with miscommunication, Burntrap and the Mimic look so different.

It hasn't really changed my thoughts, particularly given the appearance stuff you mention. Sure Burntrap's purpose was originally going to be different, but that doesn't equate to that purpose being the Mimic. I don't think the Mimic would have stood around menacingly given its whole deal in Ruin and the books lol

the thing that gets me is that scott was radio silent during the period where sb was a fresh release when fans were shitting on steel wool and saying it was all their fault and that they should be ashamed and that they ruined Scott's game. it's the fact that he let them take the fall and let them get years worth of hate for something that isnt their fault before finally releasing any kind of statement in this interview revealing the truth
