Still hate it. Sunken cost fallacy enacted: It lives.#Okay quick commentary (I'm very late to post today)#While this is supposed to be a 'snapshot' of routine - Wei Wuxian slept in. Normally he is up earlier.#Meaning he delayed the dueling part of the day. Hence LWJ's hand gesture.#I also imagine that LWJ and JC have a bit more of a friendship in this AU since they spend a few hours in the morning sans WWX #I always enjoyed how JC and LWJ on paper seem like they would get along but Do Not in canon. Let me have a world where they do.

(Apologies if this has been asked.) How much time does it take for you to finish an artwork? I have so many sketches left as sketches... :'> Where does one find the motivation?

When focused/not busy I can finish drawings quick ^^

full Illustrations > 1-3 days | doodles > at least half an hour or more | sketches > minutes. However, if I am busy (most of the time...) It takes from days to months.

idk what your motivation will be but mine is rooted in the vision of the idea- ' I wonder if I can achieve an outcome relatively close to what I'm thinking ' or just- plain out crack ' I just think it's pretty funny I MUST DRAW IT '

also remember that no form of resistance is ever acceptable to the colonizer. and that includes non-violent resistance (the great march of return) + non-violence is only successful against a force that has a conscience. but if your opponent had a conscience, he would not be oppressing you in the first place.

#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #wen chao #wen zhuliu #Apologies for how much I skipped in the last part of this episode.#I do love the scene of Jiang Cheng regaining his will to live and the ensuing scenes of Wei Wuxian seeing him off at the mountain base.#At the same time I very much want to keep pressing on with the story.#The notes I have are for scenes I did not draw:#I still think a lot about the symbolism of food in both consumption and giving - especially in regards to the Yunmeng Trio.#Prior to JC leaving we see WWX out buying food for him. Something that initially falls through as JC runs back to Lotus Pier.#But here it comes back full circle. WWX gives away a part of himself to be 'consumed' by Jiang Cheng.#It is about being led by desire (JC wanting revenge to losing his will to live to wanting his core back)#and about being bound by duty to do whatever it takes to see those desires through to the end.#JC can't eat until he has his desire to live back. WWX carves out his own ambitions to help another reach theirs.#And it isn't held up as noble! Not even once! He is routinely punished and criticized for this sacrifice.#Being thrown into the burial mounds really is just symbolism for how we can give away every scrap of ourselves to others-#-and find ourselves at rock bottom. Alone.#When you hollow yourself out it just leaves room for something else to fill it. Something worse.

Hot take: I actually think jingliu would be an older model. An ancient automata, one of the first models, created by such a skilled craftsman which such dedication that it still is able to surpass the newest war machines. Their algorithms and weapons nothing against the quick and precise motions of the automata.

The model is elegant and refined if not maybe a bit scuffed from usege and time, but nothing our engineer can't fix.

Ohhh wait, this is actually a neat idea for Android! Jingliu :0

As cool as it is to have Jingliu be some super modern android model like EVE from Wall-E, her being an ancient android that’s too complex for anyone to fix is super unique! Once infected by a virus, no engineer of today could fix her as her mechanisms are too outdated and confusing. No one except…Engineer Reader of course! I can see you taking up on the task of trying to repair the infected Jingliu, the city allowing you to legally keep Jingliu on your property as you pleaded to save her rather than discard her.

Sure Jingliu may be a gruff, scary Android to keep around, but you are dead set on saving her! She’ll appreciate it later on, slowly getting attached to you as you refused to give up on her and send her to the scrapyard 🥺

So @somerandomdudelmao made a version of their sona in a dystopia (inspired by @tapakah0 doing the same to theirs) and the person in this ask named the robot C.A.S.5 and I thought, ‘well then there’s at least four other C.A.S. units out and about in the world’ leading to this being the end result! It was a lot of fun to come up with the different customizations each C.A.S. unit has.

also, the design for C.A.S.4 (Cash) was partially inspired by @mobiitez post.
