Hey hey Harley, I had a break from tcc since my mh wasn’t the best as you know. I will be more active during the times I’m on holiday!

I’m looking to explore more ways to scrapjournal, since I’m running out of ideas.

Is there any materials that you can recommend I buy since I’m tired of using the same materials for every collage in my notebook 😭!!?

Oooo yes, I can list a few different things that I use sometimes!! ^___^

Corduroy, bubble wrap, felt, buttons, washi tape, cute vintage stickers, those like stamp letters, ribbon, stamps, can tabs, beads, etc

Okay… 3 random facts… let me think about things you guys don’t know yet. 🤔

1- I love learning languages, I can speak Portuguese, English and Spanish. I’m learning Italian at the moment. Also, I know basic Mandarin and Korean.

2- I’m an introvert. Being an English Teacher helped me to develop myself in communication, but outside of the classroom I’m still a little weird to approach people and talk with them. I always think I can be disturbing someone or being intrusive. Also it takes some time till I’m comfortable with others, but then I’ll be completely open.

3- Recently I’ve been into Scrapjournaling/JunkJournaling so I’ve done some collages and drawings on an old journal that I never happened to finish using.

It has been an emotional day for Army 💜 today. RM, Jhope and Jin make their appearances today at Suga's D-Day last day. I couldn't hold my tears seeing the Hyung Line was together again. 🥺🥺

Anyway, I made another extra page off camera earlier today so it's a double spread post for tonight. Fiza, I really love this book! I can't wait for it to get all fat. 😆 Have a great week ahead everyone.

things ive learned while journaling semi-daily (used to be daily but a chronic illness flairup broke my habit and im trying to get back into it)

-there are quite literally no hard and fast rules, if you want to keep a daily journal and a commonplace-ish (using -ish because some ppl get persnickity about real commonplace books n stuff) in one book w some markers to indicate where stuff is you can. if you wanna bujo and scrapjournal in one book you can. literally the only thing stopping you is you

-journaling becomes 10x nicer when you use what works for you instead of forcing yourself to use tools you dont like. this should be an obvious but if youre only thinking abt pretty bujospo photos w highlighters and fancy fonts everywhere and neat organization then you can become stressed over how everything flows and use highlighters or washitape when you dont actually enjoy using them. me personally i dont really like highlighters but i still would like some stamps since they cut down time with writing a lot + small stamps give me different markers to tell what block of text is what which is nice

-if you have an issue with keeping track of time a journal Will, in fact, save you. i actually know its monday today instead of thursday its awesome

-unfortunately for 15 yr old me who insisted there was nothing to be done, journaling the feelings that are stuck in my brain does, in fact, help a lot with maintaining sanity way more than just dumping it into a vague tweet or post does

-thermal printing/receipts will wear down eventually because of how theyre printed. did not actually know about this but its smth to keep in mind if i wanna keep receipts somewhere

You Are The Best You There Ever Was

Decided to take a thirty day break from social media and spending money and see how it goes! I'll probably still be updating here only, as it usually only takes up a few minutes of my day and I don't tend to get absorbed in the scrolling as much strangely. I have come to realize that my tendency to play mindlessly on social media feeds my tendency to spend needlessly. So, here we go! Let's see what I can accomplish. 🤗

Agendas

Jamás me han gustado las agendas por varias razones. La primera, porque su formato preestablecido limita el ejercicio de garabatear y reorganizar las actividades al antojo propio. La segunda razón es que sólo se reduce a escribir un listado de tareas, mas no relatar el trasfondo de cada una. La tercera es que su formato está dirigido a una cotidianidad muy cuadriculada.

Sin embargo, ignoré todo lo anterior dada la urgencia de continuar tomando notas en las clases. Así que, finalmente, terminé adaptándola a mis antojos.

Recurrí a la escritura en dos columnas por página desde que empecé a diseñar catálogos en InDesign. Me di cuenta que ésta reticula era eficiente para ahorrar espacio y para mantener el orden en mis notas de clase.

Muchas notas las dejé en lápiz y rapidógrafo. Además de ser eficiente por la inmediatez que requería escribir el tema del día, es una combinación que se ve un poco elegante.

It is finally the weekend and Alhamdulillah it has been a good week and my family is doing really well. I don't really have much to say or any anecdote to rant. I've been wanting to make another spread in my spiral scrapbook and I think it's alright. I've been wanting to watch Shadow and Bone and I'm binge-watching it tonight. I love the book so much!!
