We hoped it wouldn’t come to this, we love sending and receiving silly asks and such, but the breaking of boundaries is getting to a point where it is impacting our mental health by stressing us out. Hey, so my intro post is not the place to ask for aid. Also for the thousandth time, and as IT SAYS ON THAT VERY POST: I can’t spare the money.

I need to respond to something to set the record straight real quick. I lost the original post, but it was the one that was talking about cute, clothes-wearing, animals from children’s books and whether or not they’re pro-monarchy.

Peter Rabbit would not worship the monarch. He’s a devious little carrot thief. He’d bow to the monarch’s face and then turn around and steal all the carrots from their garden.

Just had to read a post that amounted to criticizing people pointing out that the same purity culture that drives a lot of conservative politics is present in fandom spaces for “being upset about puriteens on serious political posts.” Blocked. Like why don’t people get that purity culture is not a good thing and there is a great cause for concern that it has found its way into many online communities, including those mainly consisting of young people, young people who will be part of the voting population in the future, which *will* affect politics, thanks much.
