WSDFGHFDGB have the dumb main characters of the enderman story I’ve been working on for the past two years with my own personal ideas of random minecraft lore in my world

still thinkin about how to properly word the story’s introduction since I struggle with putting thoughts into words but sfdggdf rough thing I have atm

“The Endrelite is a Minecraft themed story following two endermen, Catalyst and Edmund, travelling through the overworld together after a catastrophic event destroyed their home almost a hundred years ago. While they struggle to adapt to this strange new world, explore all its wonders, and even fall in love, they’ve been working hard to figure out how to get back home and restore it back to its former flourishing state. However, over time Catalyst begins to become too comfortable living in the overworld, seemingly forgetting about their mission by continuing to push things back in favor for his new mundane village life.

Edmund, tired of wasting time, begins to distance himself. Through various intensive research over the years, he’s discovered a method to create a portal of his own and ready to take matters into his own hands. Catalyst knows Edmund was never too keen on interacting with the villages more than he needed to, so he never really paid much mind when he began showing up less and less. It wouldn’t be until months had passed with no contact would he begin to worry. Something had gone wrong. Very wrong

Rumors of an unusual specimen spreading through the caves has begun circling through the villages“

essentially Edmund fucked around and found out, accidentally opening a portal to the wrong dimension and unleashing the sculk upon the overworld. initially he didn't think it was anything urgent so he left it be to study, but before long it began attaching to him like a parasite, eventually reaching access to his pearl. Having been messing with things for too long, he slowly started to become a mindless horrific blend between a warden and an enderman

i am sitting here hoping and begging and praying for someone (pix please everything you make looks so cool) to build some kind of dispute arena for all the empires to settle their problems by trial through combat. in the center of this arena, there is a single sculk catalyst.

as episodes wear on and more conflicts arise, we see any chaos on the server physically represented by the creeping darkness infecting a previously immaculate build. veins of darkness consuming chiseled stone and corrupting wooden beams into dark, blinking, staring pillars of sculk.

they kill a fellow ruler and walk out as the victor. the bloodstains burn black and blue in their wake.

a building cannot bleed, but maybe it can bruise. maybe it can fester. maybe it can die.

and maybe, just maybe, it can crawl back out of the grave. maybe it can take you down with it.

what is it about sculk that does this to the hermits. why do they all get the urge to do this. what causes them to have the urge to make the sculk spread. is it haunted,

i love how cub likes to "minorly inconvenience" people (as he puts it). silly signs here and there, sneakily adding things to people's vaults at DO2, taking things for his museum and whatever

but i think the funniest thing is that he seems to have no perception of what is a silly little prank. he can and will go above and beyond for something people will mostly just brush off. like who in their right mind changes every crafting table they can find for obsidian? or the complete opposite end of this, doing something extreme like it was nothing. placing thousands of sculk catalysts all over the empires server and probably not quite realizing how big of a problem they would become?? stealing an entire tower of decked out and rebuilding it block by block elsewhere? he's insane and i love it

I had the weirdest dream where sculked cub was looking at me with his big ol' eyes and handing me a sculk catalyst and started saying "Spread the souls and spread the sculk" profusely.

what color binder did he have on though

The Sculk isn’t something to mess with. Sometimes Cub still gets urges to give someone a little shove if theyre standing near a ledge. Perhaps place a catalyst or twenty in someones base.

The Vex aren’t something to mess with. Cub still smiles too wide, remembers deals too well and gets a little more butthurt than expected when said deals are broken.

Sometimes these lingering presenses overlap and fight. Cub can handle it but theyre both growing. He’s trying to stay away from mob farms but its just too tempting. The Vex can be routed with firework fun. For now.

Cub is worried. He needs time. Time to figure out what the Sculk wants, what it really wants. Time to think of new ways to slow the Vex.

Yet each time he pleases the Vex with a trap or a game, they ask for more. Every time he grinds exp more and more of it goes missing. You might feel powerless in such a situation but Cub walks the tightrope. This much control over himself has felt impossible since the Vex first arrived. But he should still be careful, as unbalancing them means certain doom. Or at least increased oversight from concerned servermates.

sure sculk LOOKS like cold slimy cave fungus but i think it would be more unsettling if it was soft and warm, especially near the catalysts. it wants you feel safe, it wants you to stay
