This was a cute template going around on Twitter that I wanted to fill out! There's so many fun characters in this series, and this template gave me a chance to draw a few that I haven't drawn before. It's always fun to draw WoF characters because even though there's technically official references, the fandom is filled with all kinds of really fun interpretations. I like giving all the tribes little differences in design outside of obvious color, like rounded ears and curled horns for seawings, pointy elf ears for nightwings, thinner snouts for skywings and rainwings etc.

subnautica, wings of fire, and marine biology fandom (except marine bio real science and not fandom) may i propose:

the seawings from wings of fire (dragon book series for those who don't know) redesigned and resculpted as leviathans AKA the megafauna from subnautica (video game about deep sea alien life, most of which wants to kill you)

i am frothing at the mouth if no one concepts this and draws it I WILL

Hey! I’ve recently gotten back into WOF and wanted to try drawing some of the characters! Who do you guys think I should draw first?

I think I might just take their in-book descriptions and see if i can draw em from memory or at least stylized, we’ll see!

Here’s an old tribe redesign I did that I’ll use as an example. No promises they’ll get this detailed since this is just for fighting artblock but hey, you never know!

“average SeaWing is horrible” factoid actualy just statistical error. average SeaWing commits zero atrocities per year. Atrocities Coral, who rips out dragons' teeth on a regular basis, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
