A/n: Welcome to my first Tokusatsu fic! My King-Ohger OC "Caelifera Viridulus" aka "Batta Ohger" makes an appearance :)

*Himeno's POV* No... Not this... Not this either...

Countless servants bring you platters of clothing and accessories: hoping to find the right outfit to wear for your upcoming meeting with Caelifera Viridulus for architecture calculations for repair after the city accumulated damage caused by the Bugnarok, and God Kabuto under the influence of Racules Hastie.

"Your majesty!" One if your many infirmary aids rushes up the stairs

"What did we talk about wen I'm going to be departing for an important meeting?" You ask

"Of course, I'm aware your majesty but this is urgent, one of the Monarchs has come into your time of need. Your majesty," They explain

You halt your personal servant conveyer belt and they all step away.

"Which one?" You ask

"Sovereign Rita Kanisuka your majesty," They answer

You rise out of your throne...

"Bring them to my private operating room, you continue to tend to our current patients," You tell them

"Yes your majesty," They reply

"Sebas," You call to your butler

"Yes your majesty?" He asks

"Please send a message to Viridulus that I will have to take a raincheck on our meeting," You say

"As you wish," He replies

The health aids that hauled Rita's unconscious body, follow you into the private operating room: This room exclusively being reserved for the monarchs.

The aids make their leave from the room, but as soon as you were setting up the tools table, you noticed that Rita was still in their respective garbs.

They couldn't take the time to remove the damaged clothing and put them in a gown?...

With no more time to waste, your arms reach up to their coat and remove them, working your way down to their bare skin. But, the more you remove, the more you begin to grow curious of their facial features. It wasn't until after you slipped them into a gown that the curiosity had grown far beyond what you were capable of resisting.

"What are you doing?" A voice croaked

You immediately place something over their mouth in hopes that they wouldn't freak out; worsening their injuries.

"You're hurt," You bluntly state, "You were brought to me. I'm treating your wounds immediately."

"I'm fine," They say "I must get back to Gokkan..."

As you were finishing your work station, you see them attempting to sit up. You lean towards them, pressing your hand against their shoulder.

"You. Are. Not. Well Rita Kanisuka," You lean your face close to hers

"I will be the judge of that," They say, trying to push against you, "Now move, I don't care if you're the ruler of this country."

"I would ever love to see you try," You smirk

You and Rita share a look between one another, Rita is left unwavered. Oh, but you were going to get them to listen to you.

"Lay. Down." You inch your face even closer to theirs

You could feel the hesitation Rita exports until they finally gives in, laying back down.

"Good." You smile

"Don't get so cocky now Himeno," They sigh, "You're just lucky I have no energy to go against this..."

You lightly chuckle to yourself as you go back to finishing your setup.

*Rita's POV* It was beginning to hit... The immense pain, the start of slipping in and out of consciousness... It was hitting you all at once.

"Rita?" Himeno calls out to you

A sigh escapes your mouth as you shift your head to the side. Almost instantly she was on top of you.

"Hey, Rita, try to stay awake for me okay?" She continuously repeats, "Eyes on me."

Despite your body trying to abide by the Queen's order, she had just given you some medication that was beginning to kick you out. Along with the easing pain. Your mental strength was no match to take on both...

You groan...

[BEEP]

You groan again, but this time you were growing annoyed.

[BEEP]

Make it stop...

As you slowly come to, your first instinct was gathering memories of the last thing you remembered.

I was trying to get out of the Ishabana infirmary to get back to Gokkan... But, Himeno.... Queen Himeno...

You told your head over to where you remember seeing the Queen last. However, you see her fast asleep on the couch...

"... Himeno," You croak

You watch her stir, slowly rising from her peaceful slumber.

"Good morning Rita Kanisuka," She composes herself, "You're finally awake."

"Huh? 'Finally'?" You ask, "How long have I been out?"

"Few days," She answers, "I've been updating Morfonia."

"Any crimes awaiting for trial?" You ask

"None that have been informed to me," She answers, "But, I still cannot discharge you. Your injuries sustained great damage and will need extra time and care."

"So what are you going to do?" You ask, "Keep me in bed all day?"

"Oh, heaven's no," She giggles, "Unless you're in a coma then I would. But, since you're awake, we have to make sure you're healthy in your healing process."

With a snap of her fingers, a few servants come in with a tray of food.

"I've had my best chef prepare the best meals for our physical therapy process," She explains

You watch carefully as they all hover on one side and another few servants hover on the other.

"I have taken your respective garbs to be tailored back together," Sebastian explains, "So I have prepared a temporary outfit for your stay here. I did have our tailors match it to you main colors."

He placed the clothing at your bedside as the chef uncovers the silver platter of food, which you have never seen before in your life.

Too luxurious...

You were always used to all of the simple foods since you lived in the the tundra.The food you were always used to growing up was soup.

"Everything alright?" She asks, sitting at your bedside

"I'm... Not used to receiving food like this..." You answer

"Well, can't have you eating that slop food now can we?" She smiles

You take her answer for what it was and carefully the the meal provided.

You stepped into the changing room to get out of the hospital garments to change into whatever Himeno had custom made for you. You take a look at yourself in the mirror to make sure everything was to your liking but as soon as your hands reach. your neck, slight panic begins to settle in...

No.... Not now...

Without the comfort of something covering your face, you became frantic. You immediately looked around for anything within the small room that could cover your face; top no avail.

*Himeno's POV* A small shriek startles you...

"Rita?... Is everything okay in there?" You ask, knocking on the door

A longer, louder shriek echoes from beyond the door...

"Rita! I'm coming in there!" You make your presence known to her

*Rita's POV* You were dumb and didn't think to lock the door, however, even the thought was too late for you as she had come through the door.

"Rita, are you okay?" She asks as she closes the door behind her

You try to get your head to nod, all the while hiding your visible shakiness. You were pretty sure that she was seeing everything, despite that you were physically covering your mouth.

"Why are you covering your mouth you're okay," She says

"Mask," Was all you could muster to say through your mouth

"Huh?" She asks

'Mask," You say, louder

From one of the many cabinets. Himeno reaches around your head and gently ties a knot that now sits against the back of your head. You adjust your bangs over your right eye and you sigh... Right into Himeno's hands as relief washes over you.

"There, you're safe now," She smiles, holding your face in her hands

You stand from the floor to look in the mirror, however, displacement washes over as you slowly turn to Himeno.

"What?" She asks, "I don't do dark colors."

"Where are we going?" You ask, finishing up

"Around the town," She smiles, stepping into her carriage

"Why?" You ask

"Why not? There's always time to appreciate your townspeople," She says, "If you ever had people to stay in your domain..."

"I prefer not... Everyone that stays in my castle are in jail..." You explain

You wait for the two to begin riding off so that you could follow beside them. Assuming she'd want you to keep your physique.

"What are you waiting for? An invitation? Get on." She tells you

Your eye travels to her servant...

"I can assure you Sovereign Kanisuka, I will be okay carrying an extra person upon Queen Himeno's carriage," He reassures you

Carefully and thoughtfully, you step onto the carriage, attempting to keep yourself at a reasonable sitting distance from Himeno, but alas, you only slid right next to her as soon as Sebastian began moving.

"Goodness, I can feel your tenseness," Himeno sighs in annoyance, "You don't have to be so tense around me you know."

"I never travel with anyone other than my servant Morfonia," You explain, "I could have walked easily."

"Nonsense," She says, "We would have to wait for you every few minutes."

You knew you were in shape... It wasn't like you wouldn't be able to keep up. Oh well...

"Still no need to be tense, here," She says

You look down at the placement of her hand as you draw yours back.

"Have you never heard of hand holding?" She turns to look at you

"I'm never one to have physical touch be one of my favorite feelings..." You say

"Hmm, suit yourself," She sighs, continuing to view the scenery

As your eye draws itself away from the scenery on the other side of the path, your curiosity had peaked and you couldn't help but look at the way Himeno was gazing at the scene before her...

The way the light sun had shone down upon her: like a goddess descending from the heavens. Her eyes shut to bask in the warmth of the sun; giving her that euphoric feeling...

Whoa there Rita... Don't think too much on it...

You follow behind Himeno as she strides down the path, dozens of her people give her bouquets of flowers, small gifts, her handing them all to the servants who came with....

She's most likely going to throw them out when they're wilted, or deemed unusable...

You couldn't wait for your healing process to be over and go back to the comfort of Moffun...

"Here!" A small child-like voice stands out to you

You stop walking to look down at a small girl, holding a yellow colored flower up to you. You kneel down to meet their eye level.

"I couldn't find any purple flowers but I hope yellow will be suffice," They tell you

You gently take the flower from their small hands, to which they run off to meet their parents.

"Oh, you got a little flower!" Himeno comes up to you

You stand to meet her gaze, but brush yourself off and hand it over to her.

"It was actually for you," You lie

"I saw that little interaction," She smiles, "It's not for me."

But you watch her take it from your hand anyway.

Huh?... Says it's for-

You were pulled out of your negative thought towards the Queen as she slides it over the crease at the top of your ear, tucking your dark hair back in the process.

"You should wear some hints yellow more often," She tells you, "It really brings out the rest of you."

She smiles as she turns her back to you. Obvious heat rises to your cheeks as you watch her strut further down the walkway...

As the both of you made your way to the main square, more thunderous applause greets your ears. Mostly those cheers were for Himeno.

Too loud...

"Is that?..." A voice stands out to you

"It's Gokkan's King..." Another voice stands out

"They're more like a Sovereign..." A third voice speaks into your mind

"She convicts everyone who comes into their domain..." A fourth voice

"Tch... I wouldn't want to get on their bad side then..." A fifth voice...

One after the other, the voices begin building and building...

*Himeno's POV* You heard the people's voices as well... You turn to check on Rita as they are visibly uncomfortable.

"For those wondering... Yes, this is the Rita Kanisuka, Sovereign of the kingdom of Gokkan," You explain to your attending townspeople, "She is under my care for the time being, I suggest you all treat her as our guest of honor in their stay here."

"Yes Queen Himeno!" The many voices repeat

However, that didn't stop from the many few sharing gossip...

*Rita's POV* As Himeno was busy basking herself in the people's love, you take several steps back...

Finally... Some peace and quiet...

You managed to sneak away from Himeno and her bombarding fans to gain some time to yourself. You close your eyes to take a deep breath...

[SHRIEK]

*Himeno's POV* You jump at the shrilled scream off in the distance. Your thoughts immediately go to Rita as you check to where you saw her last.

"Sebas," You call to him, almost panicked

He nods to you, understanding what your plan was instantly. You break away from the pathway to begin searching for Rita.

"Rita?!" You call out, "Rita!"

*Rita's POV* "Rita?!" A familiar voice eases your mind

Himeno?

You were about to rise off from the bench that you sat upon; overlooking the ocean that Ishabana sat itself over... You didn't want to get dragged back to whatever it was that Himeno dragged you into.

You were only the deadweight...

You take the flower out from your hair and look down at it; spinning it between the palms of your fingers.

"You should wear some hints yellow more often," She tells you, "It really brings out the rest of you."

You think about how Himeno was always publicly puts herself out there as a selfish queen that has no regards for other people, not even her own people...

But, the way she sounded genuine and honest with you... That wasn't the Himeno that shows itself to the public...

"Found you," A voice giggles as she covers your eyes

"Indeed, you found me," You reply, unenthusiastic

"What seems to trouble you?" She asks, "May I?"

She gestures to sit next to you.

You don't know what was going on with you internally because you moved over to the other side of the bench, allowing her to sit next to you.

"Nothing is troubling me, I just needed a moment of silence," You lie

"You shrieking told me otherwise," She says

"Ah, you heard that then?..." You ask

She nods, "So.. Talk to me."

"What's there to talk about?" You ask

"Whatever is on your mind, there's mo one else here but the two of us," She reassures you

You felt her hand over yours. You draw them away again, however, she reaches out to them, gently grasping at them, bringing them back towards her chest.

"Hey... Everything is okay," She continues to reassure you, "It's just you and me."

"I'm... socially awkward..." You finally confess

"Huh?" She asks, "The Rita Kanisuka? Socially awkward? How so?"

"It's... really difficult for me to communicate to others... Especially in a big setting like the one we were in... I've always been alone and I never got to have regular interactions..." You spill yourself to her

"Well, that does make sense, since you always live in solitude in the north..." Himeno mumbles to herself

You look down in slight shame...

"There's nothing wrong with that though," She adds

You look up and over at her.

"You and I were raised differently, so there's nothing wrong with being socially awkward," She continues

"Why are you doing all of this for me?" You ask the million dollar question, "It's not like you to be this heart-felt..."

"Because," She begins

You felt a finger underneath your chin as she flexes it to bring your eye direction to her.

"I'm interested in you," She smiles

Huh?... She's what?...

"Huh?" Was all you could say

"I'm not one to repeat myself," She says

Her fingers move to rest upon your cheek.

"I told you... Physical affection isn't my favorite..." You say

"Then why haven't you moved away from my hand yet?" She asks, slightly smiling

Oh... I haven't...

Your eye travels down to where her hand opened, resting her palm against your skin.

Hmm... Maybe... It isn't so bad...

"If you want something, you have to be selfish and take it, no one else will do it for you," She states

"Queen Himeno!" Sebastian comes running over to the both of you

You pull your face away from her hand.

"Yes Sebas?" She turns over to him

"Bugnarok have been spotted in the towns square," He explains

*Himeno's POV* "I'm on my way. Sebas, make sure Rita doesn't follow," You tell him, "They do not need to worsen their injuries further."

"No, I can fight," You insist

You immediately try to stand on your two feet., But, you stood up too fast, feeling the slight pain in your side.

"Proves my point exactly," You say, "Sebas, take her back to the castle..."

"As you wish," He replies

"Himeno!" Rita tries to get your attention, but you were already in the process of running off towards the battle

Everything was in shambles... But, far worse than the first attack was...

Who attacked Rita in the first place to have her come to me?... If that hadn't happened, Caelifera would have been able to finish the repairs within a few days...

No matter, there were bigger problems to deal with...

"Get the people to safety!" You tell your servants

They nod and they begin evacuating the civilians.

"Momma! Papa!" A small voice yells out

You turn away to see the source of the voice: it was the same little boy that gave Rita the yellow flower earlier.

"Hang on, I'm comi- AH!"

Before you could run to him, you felt a searing pain run right through your shoulder. You fall onto your back, heaving for air.

"Queen Himeno!" One of the female servants tries to run over to you

"No!" You yell to her, "My main priority is getting all of the civilians to safety!"

Your servant reluctantly nods as she continues to evacuate the civilians.

Another shot of searing pain courses throughout your nerves system, but this time, most of the pain being in your leg. You look up and see a sword-wielding Sanagim slash at your leg; causing you to unmorph out of your armor.

You use the King's Weapon to slash the one Sanagim back. With sheer willpower you had, you forced yourself onto your feet to break towards the little boy.

You kneel to protect him from the Sanagim, ready to take another hit... However, you wince at the sound of metal clanging against one another. You open your eyes and look up..

"Rita?!" You find your voice

"There they were; standing before you, holding your caliber. "There they were; standing before you, holding your caliber.

"Rita, I thought I had Sebas take you back to the castle!" You come up next to her

"I'm quite the persuader," They tell you

*Rita's POV* "My deepest apologies King Kanisuka," Sebastian says, "But, I must follow the queen's orders to not let you fight."

"So, what would happen then if the Queen falls?" You ask, "Who would protect the people of Ishabana then? Would you send a message to the other kingdoms? You already have one other King here in Ishabana... Who knows how long the other Kings will take."

You look over to him and see his face contort with contemplation.

"Now, let me aid the Queen," You tell him

His grip upon your arm eases as you break into a run to where Himeno was off to last.

*Himeno's POV* "Of course," She sighs, "I treated Gokkan's judge."

POP IT ON (Papillon)

You look up as soon as you transferred the boy off to his parents.

"Rita?! What on earth are you doing?!" You are not well!" You try to reason with them

No point in arguing...

"Ohgai Busou" They announce

"Begone," They say, before running into the border of Bugnarok

You stood on your bad leg in hopes to catch Rita before they ran off but you falter onto the ground.

"Rita! Wait!!" You call out to them

You hear Rita loudly grunt as you watch them take a weapon to the shoulder.

"Rita stop!" You yell, "You'll make your injuries worse!"

They don't answer you as they continue fighting.

"Rita!!" You scream

Another boost of energy courses through you as you run up to them in an attempt to shield them. However, they wrap one arm around your midsection and turn to have their back face the Kaijim.

Rita lets out a pained yell as they fall into you; their armor disappearing.

"RITA!" You scream

You fall with them as you lose strength yourself.

You look at their back and see a nasty gash; staining their beautiful outfit.

"Rita, we have to get you out of here, you're in no shape to fight," You tell them, "I'll hold them off."

"You're in no shape to fight either," They tell you, turning to the Kaijim

They use the caliber as a crutch to lift themselves onto their feet.

"The earth may shatter... The heavens can fall... But... Rita Kanisuka will remain unshaken!!" They yell

That was the first time you ever heard them raise their voice.

"I'll have a fun time testing this theory then," The Kaijim says

Rita grips the caliber with both of their hands as he takes a few steps closer. They begin to attempt to lift the caliber... But, as if they weren't worthy of wielding the blade, it wasn't budging.

"Your opponent is me," A voice echoes

"Hah?" the Kaijim asks the voice

Before you could decipher who the voice belonged to, the Kaijim staggers backward.

"Caelifera Viridulus," You sigh in relief, "You came..."

"After hearing that the Bugnarok were destroying my work... Again, I decided to take the matters into my own hands," She says, "Leave this one to me you two..."

She draws a similar built sword, however, at the hilt, had a grasshopper. She hits one side of the hilt; presumably the back legs of the insect.

HOP UP (Hopper)

She tosses the caliber up into the air, catching it into a backhand grip, hitting the same part of the hilt.

"Ohgai Busou," She smirks

BATTA OHGER

"Hmph. Let's dance," She taunts him

She charges past the both of you, engaging in battle with the Kaijim.

Rita sighs as they do the one thing they vowed to never do in the public eye: waver... However, they waver right into your arms.

"Hey, hey Rita!" You panic, "You idiot you made your injuries worse!"

"When... You want something... You gotta take it... Right?..." They ask, before fading into unconsciousness

"Rita! Rita!!" You try to call out

You were able to treat every civilian's injuries, including your own. However, Rita suffered the most. It nearly took you all night to at least get Rita's vitals to stabilize.

"You sure look exhausted, Princess hasn't gotten her beauty sleep yet?" Caelifera stands in the doorway, clearly teasing you

"Try stabilizing a monarch," She angrily tells you

You weren't in the mood for any form of jokes.

"Point taken," She raises her hands in defeat

"What do you want?" You ask

"I just wanted to update you that we'd be finished with the architectural repairs by the end of the day," She says

"Thank you," She replies

"Of course, just doing my job," She replies

You listen to Caelifera take her leave as your eyes don't leave Rita's.

You mix tending to civilians and Rita as the days continued; as well as notifying Morfonia of any updates.

"Queen Himeno, it's best if you let them rest, you need some yourself," Sebastian suggests

"Not until they wake up," You say

"The only thing you can do is wait for them to wake up your majesty," He says

You didn't want to admit it but he was right. Because as soon as you finished the night you operated on her, that was as most as you have given to a patient. But, you were stubborn. You wouldn't give up on something if you wanted it.

"How selfish," You giggle to yourself

"What was that Your Majesty?" Sebastian asks

You forgot he was in the room.

"Go make sure every servant is well and fed," you make some random task for Sebastian to do

It was mostly to get him out of the room so you can be alone with Rita.

"As you wish my lady," He bows, exiting the room

"Rita is behind that door, but they said they wish to not be bothered for a while," Morfonia tells you

After several days of intensive care, You had discharged Rita from Ishabana, but as soon as you did, you were hoping Rita broke out of their shell, specifically for you and confess to you that they had a nice time or enjoyed your presence... But, nothing... They just left... Leaving with you and your thoughts.

"My dearest apologies, but this isn't a matter that can wait," You say, in your most pristine tone

You walk past her to reach the door. You turn the doorknob about a quarter before the locks keep the door in place.

"Ahh mou! Rita!" You yell, breaking the door in

Every single lock on the door breaks, breaking at the door frame.

You see them laying on the couch to your left: a giant Yeti plush next to them. But, the plush wasn't what caught you off guard. It was the fact they had their mask zipped down.

*Rita's POV* It took you a moment to process who had broken your door in. But, it because obvious once you saw shades of yellow.

"Morfonia, shut the door..." You tell her

"Huh?" She asks

"Shut. The. Door." You reluctantly repeat yourself

She hurried to the broken door and shuts it as best as she could.

"What are you doing here?" You ask

"After all I've done for you, you just leave without thanking me?!" She begins, "Or even told me that you enjoyed my company?! Don't lie to me because I saw every little one of your supposed emotionless face soften..."

You continue listening to her ramble on about your time in Ishabana. You hated to admit it but you truly did enjoy your time there... With her...

How can I tell her?

Don't tell her, show her.

"Himeno," You call out to her, making your way towards her

"What?" She asks

"Shut up," You answer

"Hah," She sarcastically giggles, "You ask me what I'm doing here but now you're... Telling... Me to..."

*Himeno's POV* Your voice trails off as you notice how close Rita was getting.

"Rita... What are you doing?" You ask

They don't answer you as they begin to unglue their right hand, showing their pale skin for the first time. Your eyes travel down to their lips; the only thing on their body that wasn't pale. It was a shade of peach pink...

"Rita Kanisuka answer me right- AH cold-!"

Her pale hands as you predicted; cold to the touch. You let out a high-pitched yelp but, Rita leans forward in your mid-yelp. Catching your lips in a kiss.

"Rita-Mmph," You try to speak but they cut you off

Your mind blanks on the thought that you were trying to put together. Your curiosity peaked. You unintentionally walked in on Rita having a self monologue with a stuffed yeti and you got to see them with their mask zipped down.

Their lips however was another thing that caught you off guard... You expected them to be chapped due to the consistent cold weather. Glad you were wrong about it.

"Rita..." You breathe

Your heart was reeling. That was one of the many things you least expected out of them. But, all of a sudden your eyes widen. Your hands traveled all over her face, exploring the parts of her that you weren't able to, but your left hand traveled farther than you expected and you ended up brushing their bangs away; revealing their other eye color.

*Rita's POV* "Himeno... what's the matter?" You ask

You realize that your vision was much more clearer than usual.

Oh no...

"Rita?" She calls out to you

You immediately pull yourself out of her embrace and put your hair back in place as you attempt to find your way back onto the couch; Moffun at the ready for another self-monologuing session. Despite that Himeno was in the room with you.

"Rita..." Her voice calls out to you

You ease into the couch, the frantic movements of your hands slowly ceasing.

"Rita, look at me," She says

You look at her. You watch as she stands over you, one hand rests on one side of your cheek, her other hand brushing your bangs away again, her hand resting against the other side.

"You're beautiful," She says, her lips curling into a smile

Sept extras call: resistance is just a fancy word for refugees, luckily that belongs to Kyoryu's earth instead of ours. But my au isn't that bad ;) Basically my earliest guess was that either something happened to the Kings that they lost their thrones (or a group of people started rebelling against Dugded on their own <- less likely because you'll've to introduce a new leader character), and THEY have to start a resistance now because (a) puppet king(s) is in their place. The only thing we knew then was, Chapter 2 is happening. In the following month, the kings' defeat after defeat is not helping my overthinking! I should've just taken the costume clues on the surface and came to the direct conclusion that it's happening not on Chikyuu but Our Earth. Man I would've love to see my Dark AU some unofficial way ;)

Now that I caught up to Kyoryu ep36, and more obviously, Kingoh 33, I can make the connection for the Oct extras call. They are going to recreate/homage the scene where the crowd sing and clap to give the rangers power. The TV preview text says the Kyoryugers are going to return, so the brightest side is Daigo and Utcchy are going to show up in mid/late November when their search for Dugded brings them to Chikyuu. I don't think there's gonna be a Kyoryu 10th. They had to shoot Amy's scenes separately and Shiono outright said it may be the last time he plays Souji. Practically it's a bit late for the marketing to start if it's really happening, let alone the 20ths are having it in the coming year.

P.S. EP3 goes on sale 6 Dec, and usually an EP contains at least 2 new songs. So is the other "I'm Still Alive" for the Yanma focus ep? Please *pleading eyes*. December also sounds suspiciously late (coincidence with Blu-ray v.2 release?). EP1 was two weeks and EP2 a month after the first song. "Pride and Brave" will likely be reused for the Kyoryu-Ohger and if Crossover 2.0. I'm not very patient waiting for the eventual release of the full version of that dance... worst case maybe we'll have to wait until Blu-ray vol.3's release next March...
