being so against unfamiliar things is kind of a sad pov to have. Whether a book is old, a movie isn't made by the most popular studio full of famous actors based on an already recognizable IP, music by an indie band, whatever, especially if it's literally foreign, i think it is bad to confidently refuse to engage w different things. Like... why not put some effort into being curious about things in the world, instead of boasting about being comfortable and mocking others.

Upon rewatch of the Mario Movie, I really gotta wonder how long the Mario Bros were in the Mushroom Kingdom for. 

They get sucked through the pipe past sundown Brooklyn time, which depending on the season is like 8-9 o’clock, Mario arrives in the Mushroom Kingdom in the day time, maybe late afternoon, and spends the rest of the day through the night into the morning on Peach’s Mario Maker level, travels all the next day, sleeps in a Fire Flower field for the night, arrives at the Kong Kingdom mid the next day, leaves the Kong Kingdom on Karts around sunset, which turns to night as they are ambushed, leading to Mario and DK spending the entire night inside an eel only breaking out early the next morning, just to make it barely in time to Peach and Bowser’s wedding sometime around noon, and go back through the pipe to have it be early morning in Brooklyn with the rest of the Mario family carrying on with breakfast as usual.

So they spend 3 Days in the Mushroom Kingdom, but only like 12 hours of Brooklyn time seems to have passed.

epic win at old lady group today: the group leader was struggling with a tangled up loose skein of yarn, so i scampered over to the other end of the table where was sitting and offered to untangle it and wind it into a centre-pull yarn bal for her since I remembered how to do it from just the other day fjdkdl and she was very confused why i would WANT to do that but she let me :3

so i got to untangle yarn AND wind a yarn ball AND help someone i appreciate, three things i love doing - YIPPEE !!!

Well with that last imagine I think I'm going to take my own advice and get the eff up and walk....ssstraight to the bed(couch) for a nap lol My neck and upper back hurt so bad lmao my own damn fault. I was like "better write down all these recipes right now because if I don't the letters will evaporate from the page!" Accomplishments:

I toured L&D at my delivering hospital. I asked questions, one of which they didn't know the answer to but are going to reach out to their hospitalist to find the answer and get back to me. There is a marginal chance that the question won't be applicable and we'll all get to go home together, but I still wanted to ask just in case.

I bought more baby clothes (technically I didn't need them but that is not the point).

I told my sister that she is all in with delivery and in the OR or I'm asking my BFF to be there instead (my sister has been waffling, especially since she found out I have to have a c-section, about whether she will be in the room or not).

I finally admitted to my friend that I am overwhelmed so the question 'what do you need' is really hard for me because I don't know. And what would be more helpful is from the perspective of an experienced twin mom to say, 'she definitely needs this, let me check if she has it' because otherwise my brain is getting stuck in the OMG do I have all the things I need/overthinking and I never actually get to a place where I can answer the question, 'what do you need?'

I asked my landlord questions...and told her I was having babies - I've avoided telling her because my anxiety was like, 'she's going to evict you if you tell her you're adding more humans to the household which I know isn't true because my landlord is wonderful.

I scheduled a pedicure for tomorrow and I'm going to get my brows done too because I feel more human when they're done and I'm going to need that post delivery
