Mod: Everything that has happened in my life over the last 3 weeks has left my emotions completely shattered and broken. I will be turning off notifications and taking a short break from all social media and messaging platforms for a few days to try and collect myself (but the queue has many posts!). If you want the quick rundown, I've dropped it below.

Three weeks ago everything started to take a turn for the worst.

My dad was diagnosed with a detached retina, had emergency surgery and needed 10 days of face down recovery. He now has 8-10 weeks of no duties recovery and 3-6 months of light duties recovery after that. I've had to pick up many of the things he did and add them to my schedule.

My brother in-law's mother was admitted to hospital, moved to hospice on Christmas day and passed away last week. This was all so sudden and unexpected.

A co-worker I have worked closely with for 8 years got into a car crash two weeks ago and died from his injuries. This was also a huge sudden loss.

My long distance relationship came to an end last week for many reasons, some previously discussed.

Yesterday I realized I had inadvertently placed hope, the last of my intact emotions that were keeping me going, in the wrong place and it has left me completely unable to cope with everything else that has happened.

Thank you to everyone here who has been supportive of me through the last little while! It has meant ever so much, but I need some quiet reflection time.

Alright. I know I've been on a small, semi-hiatus and I do apologize for that. But, now, I'm going on an actual hiatus for the next few days because of IRL stuff. Nothing bad, just stressful.

When I get back, I will work on any requests and the Cruella fic in my drafts. So, I will leave requests on, I just won't reply to them for a few days.

Mini hiatus

Hi hello, I think it may be a little obvious at this point but I figured I would post anyway! I am on a mini-hiatus for a bit, I'll be around every so often to like/reblog things and get tagged posts up but that's about it. I do have some asks I am working on and want to post but I can't get to them at the moment because work lately has been mentally draining and I haven't had the motivation to get stuff done. (Plus I am about to close on a house so might be caught up with that soon as well!) Hello everyone!

I am pleased to say that I am finally beginning to recover from my illness after being in bed constantly for about 3 days straight. I am still in bed as I write this, but I do feel a little chirpier today.

I have not forgotten about the projects, nor the oneshot or the chapters of T4ATM that were due to come out forever ago...

Just give me time, and as I fully recover (because I am still sick, just a little less sick) I will begin to get as 'into the motion of things' as I can with my full-time job...

(there will still be a post tomorrow to keep on track)#The original 3 panel comic idea was fine but the point of this new schedule was to take time to push myself a bit more.#I was taking a look back through some comic artists I felt inspired by #and I really loved how Lynda Barry fills her gutters with patterns and doodles!#Obviously I'm not going as absolutely wild with it as she does but it was a great exercise!#I truly think the gutters are the most important and most overlooked part of any comic. There's lots going on in that space.#It's the same with timeskips. The implied movement between moments that we don't see changes depending on how wide that gap is #You're here for the funny tags so here's some that ties this time talk together:#I think LWJ was thinking about that second note from day 2 but it took him 7 days of hazing to commit it to paper.#I think he sends it a day later and immediately regrets it. Chasing down the messenger and everything.#You know if something actually happened to his brother he would never ever forgive himself for putting the bad vibes out there.#Third time skip was the hardest because there was so many possible flavours of jokes here. Day 8/9 was a personal favourite.#day 14 was also funny (week by week). I think the debate on 'how long does lwj take to catch feelings' is more or less:#'how long does it take for him to arrive at a particular stage of grief and yearning (and awareness of it all)#This is a symphony. There is an act by act structure. Every day he is fighting to keep his old sensibilities. He is losing so badly.#(I'll be returning to the main comic soon but there is more of this AU to come!)

A lot of older TMNT fans dislike the ROTTMNT designs for making the brothers barely look like turtles but actually I enjoy them looking mostly humanoid

They resemble the person they were mutated with a lot, they look like new species entirely and they went into drastically different direction with sharp, pointy dynamic lines, rather than huge round blobified shapes the other series were going for

Plus the designs and thought process behind each of them are amazing

Like, I could rant about Donnie's design quirks for ages

#rottmnt #also i'm still emotional of them all looking like lou jitsu in a way and how they would most probably have human forms resembling him a lot #as for donnie you won't be seeing me shutting up about him being a softshell and actually using his tech to enhance his shell anytime soon #his eyebrows are also the staple of his personality #and how he has several sciency accessories all over him to make it clear what he does #and how different he looks without any of them #how much his design changes just without the goggles alone #or mask
