call me boring ......... but bc i have little/no interest in thinking much about details that aren't somewhat implied..... i simply don't think about his family much ........HENDLKNGF Well in order to echo klavier's "kristoph is his main/legal guardian" headcanon that i really like, i like to give daryan a "parents weren't Around A Lot" latchkey kid sort of background....

like it's the same sort of loneliness, of empty houses, but where klavier has his weird older brother who's simultaneously overbearing but distant, daryan has parents who leave him pizza money and aren't home to say he can't invite people over. and i think he owns it... i think it made him feel like such a cool mature guy... also no siblings.

maybe they encouraged his music lessons so that it would keep him out of trouble. :-) i think it's a happy but distant and sort of poor family. Like it's not a rough house...... he's just alone a lot! but that way they can have band practice at his place sooo
