Tbh her aesthetic was definitely expected to be something like this idk why but I've always thought seokjin would end up with someone who's a business women/something related to business yk or maybe even rich since birth. Blue-blooded royal Kim Seokjin who just turned 20 was now in the market for a spouse was the most sought out bachelor in the kingdom. The future king was handsome and had a great personality that he was well loved and liked by all.

However, none were successful in capturing his heart. Unknown to all except for his parents and his other siblings, Seokjin was cursed by an evil warlock to die on his 30th birthday. The King and the Queen had tried to find numerous ways to lift the curse but it all failed.

The evil warlock gotten into a fierce battle before with the kingdom. He had devised ways to assassinate the king and enslave the people but the King and his soldiers have put up a great fight and won. In revenge, the warlock cursed the Queen's unborn son and future heir to the throne to die on his 30th birthday.

Because of this, Seokjin learned to keep people at bay. He had lots of friends but when he begins to feel something more, he would slowly distance himself and back away from the possibility of love. He wanted to save himself the pain of knowing love and losing it.

Instead, he spent the next 8 years, travelling the world, learning new languages, acquiring new skills and simply trying to savor life before his own would be taken away from him.

He was all but content until on his 29th birthday celebration, Prince Hoseok introduced him to someone. A man with big doe eyes and a bunny smile. His name was Jeon Jungkook and Seokjin felt it, Cupid's arrow and all that, he felt the pull of fate. He was all wrong for him but he could not help it. He should not enjoy his company too much nor fall for his giggles and hearty laughs but Seokjin found himself doing all those and more on that night.

Seokjin asked him to dance and dance the night away was what they did. His siblings Namjoon and Taehyung kept throwing him concerned looks but it did nothing to faze the admiration he had for Jungkook.

They cornered him when Jungkook left to get some drinks for both of them.

"Hyung, this is not good," Namjoon whispered. Taehyung nodded his head while Seokjin rolled his eyes.

"We get it, he's cute but this is so unlike you. You had always been cautious but this, this is madness! Mother saw you both and was alarmed enough to make sure we talk some sense to you!"

Seokjin brushed off their words. He was a grown man and if he wanted to start something with Jungkook, it's none of anybody's business.

"Look, I just want to be friends with him, okay?" he reasoned out.

Taehyung scoffed at his words, "You both nearly kissed while dancing!"

"That, that's not true!"

Of course, it was. When Seokjin held Jungkook in his arms while they were dancing to a ballad, he got mesmerized by the stars in Jungkook's eyes. His lips beckoned to him and as each of their steps slowed down, Seokjin could not help but pull him closer and closer until Yoongi twirled Hoseok and bumped into them, destroying the moment.

*Seokjin’s POV*

I could feel Jimin peer over my shoulder slightly as I prepped the bowls of noodles, ready to pour the jjamppong broth over each bowl. “Prepping the bowls already, hyung? Min and Mun haven’t arrived yet,” he said. “They haven’t, but I know they’ll be here within the next 4 minutes,” I replied, looking at my invisible watch. Mun had been over enough times for me to know that it takes exactly 17 minutes to get to our dorm by bus. She texted me 13 minutes ago that they were leaving, and the fact that it was raining outside confirmed my feeling that they would be taking the bus this cold fall evening.

“Soup’s on!” I called out to the other members, figuring they could start eating. Our dorm kitchen was pretty snug for 7 members, but when two other guests were added, it was on the verge of cramped. “Yahhh, this smells so good, Jin-hyung,” Hobi said, coming in and putting his hands on my shoulders, squeezing them as I poured the seafood broth into a bowl of noodles and handed it to him. “I thought jjamppong would be a good meal for a rainy day,” I said, continuing to prepare the other bowls as the other members filed into the kitchen.

“Aish, Jin-hyung,” Namjoon said in a slightly disappointed tone. “You know I don’t like seafood,” he added as I handed him a bowl of the seafood soup. “Yes, I know… and it’s ridiculous! You’ll change your mind after you eat this!” I said. He shook his head as he took the bowl, probably not even going to eat it. “Hyung! Are you really going to make Namjoon-hyung eat something he doesn’t like?” Jungkook asked as he sat down at the table next to him. “He’ll like it after he tries my jjamppong,” I said with a laugh, though I honestly wasn’t expecting him to. “Why can’t he just not like seafood?” Hobi asked with a laugh. “I just love seafood a lot, and think everyone I’m close to should too,” I replied.

“Would loving seafood be one of your non-negotiables, then?” Jungkook asked. Lately among the members, we have been talking about what we want in a future spouse and what the non-negotiables would be for someone to be datable in our opinions. “I’ll just say, if she doesn’t love seafood and I’m still in love with her, then you’ll know it’s true love,” I answered, suddenly hearing the doorbell ring. Jimin answered the door and I heard him greeting Min and Mun. “Oooo something smells good!! Another one of Chef Jin’s specials?” Min asked as the three of them walked into the kitchen.

Min and Mun were over quite frequently, as they had become good friends with us in the past couple of months. Sometimes we went out or ordered food when we’re busy, but whenever I got the chance, I preferred to cook, as it was an enjoyable hobby for me. I knew soup in general was one of Mun’s favorite foods, so I hoped she would like the jjamppong that I made for her… well, made for everyone. “Since it’s so rainy and cold outside, I decided to make soup! I don’t make this often, so I hope it’s special,” I said as I poured soup into the final four bowls, setting one in front of Mun as she sat down, one each for Min and Jimin, and one for me as I sat down next to Mun.

“Ooo is this seafood soup?” Min asked gingerly as she looked at the bowl in front of her. I nodded. “Yes, in Korean it’s called jjamppong,” I explained as I began to eat mine. “Honestly, I feel like you could open your own restaurant! This looks like a master chef made it,” Mun said with a smile as she began to pick through the soup with her chopsticks. “Who says I’m not a master chef?” I teased after swallowing a big bite. We continued to eat in mostly silence as many of the other members made small talk. As I listened to Jimin talking about the events of this week’s dance practices to Min, I couldn’t help but notice Mun trying to pick out only the noodles from the soup.

I felt my heart sink a little, but I didn’t let it show. I leaned over to Mun and whispered, “is my soup not good?” I could see her face grow a bit red as she shook her head. “No, it is good! It has a nice flavor and everything! Honestly, I’m just not a big fan of seafood… the noodles and the broth are good, though!” she explained. “You… don’t like seafood?” I asked, wondering how I didn’t know that before. “I like fish and sometimes crab and lobster… but as a general rule, I don’t really like seafood,” she replied. I thought back to all the times we had eaten together… I remembered that even when we got sushi, she usually got either veggie sushi, or something with cooked salmon.

“I can’t believe I didn’t notice before!! I should’ve made you a different kind of soup then!” I said, feeling bad that I made her something she didn’t care for. “No, it’s alright, Seokjinie! I loved the soup and noodles… and here,” she said, passing me her bowl, which had just the seafood left. “I know how much you love seafood, so you can have my part! More for you!” she continued, smiling at me. I couldn’t help but smile back at her. “I didn’t think about it that way,” I said, happy to have more seafood. “Oh! But you probably want some kind of meat! I think we have some leftover bulgogi in the fridge!” I said, getting up from the table.

“No, it’s ok! You don’t have to prepare anything special for me!” she said, though I was already set on getting her something else she could eat. As I opened the fridge and looked for the leftover bulgogi, I heard Jungkook approach me silently from behind, carrying his bowl to the sink. “’True love,’ you said?” he said in passing, just loud enough for me to hear. I felt my ears grow red as I turned to him, giving him a quick kick in the butt. “It’s not like that! I just don’t want her to have to go home hungry!” I replied defensively. “But hungry Namjoon-hyung is ok?” he replied, washing his bowl. I rolled my eyes and pulled out the container of leftover bulgogi. I would be sure to heat up enough for both Mun and Namjoon.
