Day four: Desk/Study Area! September Study Challenge day four! The picture isn't the greatest because it's almost midnight and I don't have any natural lighting, but there isn't a ton to see anyway. My study area mostly consists of desk space: the back has some lamps- one is brighter and hotter than the other so I switch depending on what I'm doing, some candles, succulents, then the sides are there for either junk(see the left side) and homework(see the right). In the middle I have some American History stuff that I'm working on but normally I keep that clear for some semblance of cleanliness. My study space isn't anything special, but I still wanted to do the challenge anyway! I'm planning on buying some things to be more organized soon, but this is all I have for now. Tomorrow I'll upload a weekly update for last week and the next challenge!! Sleep well guys. 😴

September Study Challenge Day Two: Favorite study spot Honestly, my favorite study spot is on my sister's desk. Messy and cluttered, it is, but it's not entirely my fault. Working on a revised topic outline for English with The Sound Of Music Soundtrack!

Day 3: Planner

September Study Challenge day three wants us to talk about our planners, so it’s finally time to post a picture of my weird bullet journal. I haven’t actually seen anyone else with a composition book bullet journal, but I can’t get my financial aid money for school supplies for a couple weeks so I’m making do!

For the cover, I took a piece of craft paper from Michaels and glued it down to make it cuter. I know it’s September, but I haven’t made a spread for this month yet so I figured I would show my August page. The Stabilo pens that I use bleed through the other side, so I can only use the front of the page instead of having a nice two page spread like everyone else. :( The theme for last month was based after Melodrama by Lorde so I used blue, purple, and a little yellow! It was my first real spread so I was super happy with how it came out!

Hopefully I can get my September page done so I can show you guys! Hold me to it.

13.09.2016 #septemberstudychallenge I can literally kill two bird with one stone here for day6 and day7. Stationary and study essentials. This is what I have in my pencil case ready for start of term. It's probably gonna change as the year goes on but for now I'm trying to have as little as possible while still having everything I need. So from left to right, a 15cm ruler that I've had for ages, just an ordinary pencil that came in a pack of ten for about 20p. My new blue staedtler pen that I bought for writing notes in class so they stand out from the black and white printed notes. And my four mini highlighters, again super cheap for a pack of ten. Day 5 & Day 6

Day 5: Weekend Plans

I usually study on Friday evenings,

Train on Saturday mornings, and relax on Saturday evenings,

Go to mass Sunday mornings, go visit my parents, and study Sunday evenings.

Day 6: Autumn

Autumn is my favorite of all of the seasons. 

My favorite article of clothing is a long sleeve shirt, 

and I’d be lying if I said I dont like pumpkin spice everything.

I cant wait until is is finally here.

1/ 100 days of productivity

Today is my first day to share my studyplan and studynotes in here. It’s really excited, hoping I can do this for at least a month

Day 6: Stationary September Study Challenge day 6- I don't actually have any stationary, so I figured instead I would give an update on school! I have soooo much due this month; I've been a busy bee! I have about ten chapter outlines, numerous online quizzes, a major essay, and a couple small essays for English, three chapters, a book to read with an exam, an exam, and an essay for American History, three big writing projects and about six chapters for Government, and a couple chapters with exam for Philosophy. Only the second week in, and it's insane already!! Despite feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the work I have to stay on top of, I'm doing my best to keep positive! I know that if I put my mind to it, I can get all of this done on time. If anyone wants to message with me to give motivation back and forth, I definitely wouldn't reject it, though!!

My least favorite subject is history. I like very interactive classes and all the history classes I have taken are very monotonous.

Study Essentials!

Semptember Study Challenge Day 7! Technically this is half an hour late, but I already typed this up once and the app crashed before I could post it. Here’s for round two!!

General study items:

-Pens! I use G2 Pilot pens because I would be literally dead without them. Best pen.

-Paper/Notebooks

-Highlighters! I only have one at the moment. Sometimes I use my copic markers instead, shhh.

-Sticky notes

-Index cards

Not so common items:

-Tablet/phone! I know we’re told not to keep these near us, but I have good reasoning, I swear! I need them for…

-Habitica! This is an app/site where you make a character in an RPG and fuel them with the finishing of tasks! Every time you finish a task, you can check it off and get experience and gold. I find this is a super amazing motivator for me, so I like to keep it nearby when tackling my schoolwork.

-Neko Atsume!! If RPGs aren’t your thing, maybe virtual kitties are! I know this app was big a couple years ago, but I just re-downloaded it and I’m in love all over again. I use this as a reward for studying for a certain length of time by checking on the kitties every time I reach a goal. No matter your app choice, rewarding yourself is a big part of staying motivated- at least for me- so I highly recommend these apps!

-Snacks! This one may be a given, but I think one of my biggest distractions is sitting down on an empty stomach and not being able to focus because I want food. If you’re like me, bring some snacks before you start! That way, you won’t have to go to the kitchen and possibly distract yourself in the meantime.

-A quiet, clean space. I always took this one for granted, but setting up a desk in my room and keeping it clean has helped me so much! It may not seem like it’ll make a difference, but set a place aside for yourself. You deserve it and it’ll be a big help!

That’s pretty much all I have to say on this! I don’t have a huge amount of supplies, but these are the things I think are essential to studying in my case. I hope maybe some of the app choices at least are appealing to you guys since most of this is pretty basic. Sorry that I didn’t update on time, tomorrow I’ll have two posts to make up for it!

I'm going to take the September Study Challenge. I'm excited! I probably won't be able to do every day, but I'm certainly going to try.

Day 5: Notebooks! September Study Challenge day 5 is notebooks, which I wish I had more to show. A lot of people get creative with their class notebooks, but I just have these little 50 cent, 70 page spirals so far! I'm already running low on paper in some of them, so I know they aren't going to last very long and there isn't much point in sprucing them up. I plan on doing a huge school supply haul soon, then I'll be able to show some cuter things!

Day 2: September Goals!

Yet another September Study Challenge that I'm uploading late in the evening. I've been super swamped trying to catch up with school work that I just haven't had the time to post! My bujo is a mess right now, so I won't subject you guys to that, but I'm still going to list my goals for September!

Goals!!!

1. Write! I've been slacking in my writing, hopefully I can pick it up.

2. Read 2 books! Been slacking in reading, too.

3. Study!!! I've never been too big on studying, and I really need to turn that around.

4. Keep up with schoolwork! I have so much to do that I'm overwhelmed already, so I'm going to try to keep up as much as possible.

5. Help with housework. We have a ton of people in the house and I'm not working at the moment, so I'm going to help out as best I can.

6. Drive! My driving test is scheduled for the end of the month, I have to practice as much as possible.

7. Get a job! Should be a higher priority, but the job search isn't going too hot. :(

8. Make art! Art calms me down a bunch, but I feel like I've been pushing it aside lately. Gonna try to incorporate that into my life a bit more!

9. Make a friend! I moved a couple of months ago and don't keep in contact with any of my old friends, so it's finally time to try and socialize. I'm pretty shy, so this is a rough task for me haha.

I have many more things that I wish I could get done, but I feel like these are all good and plentiful enough to keep me busy for a month! Everything has changed so much from having ample time to do whatever to feeling like school takes up my whole life, so this month I'm hoping to find a balance. Wish me luck! I'll post again at the end of the month to keep everyone updated!

September Study Challenge!

It's a little late today, but here's the first day of @estellastudies September Study Challenge!

Day 1: Introduce yourself!

I already did this about a month ago, but I'll sum it up here super quickly as well! My name is Karrie, I'm 20, and I'm currently in my first semester of college. My community college doesn't offer an English Major, but that's what I'll be doing in the future! I'm taking Government, Philosophy(online), American History, and English. I'm a Ravenclaw, INTP, and introvert. I love to read, write, and draw! I love anime, video games, and YOUTUBE. I'm not sure what else to say that I haven't already said, so I'll leave it at that.
