I want your corkscrew hcs!!! just rly anything. It can be fun stuff like his favorite soda or fave movies. Maybe some stuff specific to living in Russia that I'd have no idea was a thing otherwise if u got anything like that! I feel like all my hcs for him will be so lacking because I know so little about living there, but living in Sweden has rly upped my love for learning all the lil mundane differences in daily life from country to country
Okay small and specific shtop hcs leggoo
OUFFF my time has come i guess....finally expirience living in *there* would be useful lmao FIRST of all i wanna mention this one russian song in goin postal playlist
i think its a tribute in shtopors honor. bc like why else rws would put this ru song in there???
ANYWAY.
im not really good at explaining my feelings so im gonna throw a bunch of memes that has STRONG SHTOP VIBES. Memes are the ultimate association language right? im not apologising for klukva (stereotype memes) bc?? original dude is lit basic american trash so errything he knows abt russia is a bunch of stereotypes. makes sense ig
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ok now here goes ru memes💥💥💥💥💥
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(2nd pic: your pigs grunt violates the laws of the Ural (including shutting the rotten mug up, p.18) and i told my bois about it. I hope, your identity will be established. When crossing the border of Ekaterinburg you will kicked the fuck out with bicycle chains. This is Ural, not Moscow) (3rd pic: [i] hate the rednecks)
Ok NOW ONE SPECIFIC THING. once i mentioned that hes an airbone and here, when the national airbone day comes, its a common joke that the ones who served in it will jump into a fontains like PARATROOPERS WOOHOOOO. yea.
Tbh its really hard to tell where is the diff between your culture (i.e ur everyday life) and others when theres nothing to compare with. BUT. ill try
His concept of personal boundaries is really strange and fucked up compare to others bc here [russia] we r suspicious as hell (imo.) but also like a big family. but the cracked one. Or kinda sorta like that. BUT at the same time he is ready to help everyone who need it and he will not ask any questions. Also he would let live his friends in his small flat if they needed to. It would be really tricky tho. Also shtop is really REALLY LOUD. in every sense of the word
Shtopor knows how to survive in harsh conditions. How to make not-that-bad-edible food out of canned food. Just google navy-styled macaroni! (or Makarony po-flotski) yeass NAVY styled aaand hes the "army one". Out of all dudes at least shtop knows how to COOK. blini, macaroni, syrniki, okroshka, - all of it actually cheap, easy and real tasty. LOOK AT OKROSHKA I MEANNNN. cold soup of raw vegetables. ok.
Tumblr media
Shtopor one of those dudes who is a coldfucker. He is actually low-temperatures-proof. (small preface) shtop is an eastern orthodox. AND ANOTHER ONE russkaya zabava. When the baptism of jesus comes we have a tradition to cut out the ICE HOLE in the river AND JUMP INTO IT 👍 or another similar thing when ur hot after the banya you fall into a snowdrift. (banya is like sauna or steam bath. u rarely go to the banya alone.) ((public banyas divides to male and female, commonly yall naked in there, now imagine shtops in public banya and his bi neuron activation haahahah)) (personay i dont really like public banyas cuz its PUBLIC)
Another notable mention i think shtop is actually dgaf what to whatch on tv but he likes to talk with it. That sofa commentators type of ppl u know em. After a really looong day he would mix vodka and beer, sat down in front of tv and gave his VERY IMPORTANT COMMENTS ON LITERALLY EVERY THEME IN THE WORLD in until he fell asleep.
Russian curse words is veeery various, it can contain a lot of definition for one word, but be different on vibes and occasions to use it. U can say an entire sentence without a single cultural word in it. And therefore shtop complains about the lack of swear words in english and often swears in Russian. "--da blyaaaaat' kak zhe zae- -- OH gimme this gun. you started speaking russian which means things are bad." ill brb later with more things but now im kinda tired rn so here u go.

Weekend Update 04/07/2024
Nerdie! You haven't done one of these since the middle of March!
Yes 👀 I took some time off of work and was out of the country on a boat. A cruise to be exact. The locations were tropical and fun. the sea days (the time you spend on the ship in between each stop) were not. Personally, I wouldn't go on the cruise line again. I prefer more activities, music and a more lively environment. Overall the trip was wonderful, just those sea days. Ugh, silver lining though, so much writing. 🤣
We saw you post a lot Nerdie, didn't you start new series and just post one shots?
I did a lot of writing. 🫣 I'm going to do a list of things I finished or are ongoing. I preface this by saying that I have so many random fanfic ideas. 😭 I have not written all of them out.
Ongoing:
Our Journey Across the Star Ocean (Din Djarin)
This is the Neighborhood Din (Din Djarin)
Only Parts of Your Mr. Morales (Frankie Morales)
The Lake Between Us (Ezra)
Weddings 101 with Dieter (Dieter Bravo)
Come live with Angel (Benny Miller)
Finished One Shots:
How did you forget? (Benny Miller)
What do I want from you? - part one (Lucien Flores) and What do I tell you? - part two (Lucian Flores)
A Poor Plan to confess (Dieter Bravo Brain Rot Serve Challenge) and Fare Well (Hozier Song Drabble Challenge)
Selena Drabble Challenge (Missing You - Marcus Pike)
My Teddy Bear Enjoys Leather (Javi G)
Mi sueño dulce (My Sweet Dream - Javi P)
Finished Series
March Spring Prompts (All 31 days are posted. ☺️ I indulged on the last three. 🤣)
I read about 35-40 fics so they won't all fit here. 😭 So I decided to restart my Fic recommendation lists I used to do to accommodate them. 🥰
Nerdie’s Fic Picks
(because it had it be cute 😆)
Previous fic recs are on this Masterlist as well. Volume 6 will be up late tonight. 😊
Some questions Nerdie has been asked:
Q: How in the world do you have so many ideas?
A: I truly don’t know. I can only say that I live in my head a lot so to speak so imagining what I would like to say, think or do is a lot easier than actually doing it. Then I just write it. Also I enjoy making myself and others laugh so the more insane a scenario is, the more likely it is to make it into a fic somehow.
Q: How do you write so much?
A: I stick my ideas in notes. Sometimes bullet point, sometimes just start writing. Usually if I use these focus things you can use in discord called “Sprints” I can channel the idea onto a page. It’s not always the same idea I had in mind, but usually it’s pretty good. Then I actually finish things to a good soundtrack or playlist. There is also tea involved.
Q: Which idea is next Nerdie?
A: Marcus Pike in therapy for an incident involving a gun and Mr. And Mrs. Hot Dog Water (if you know, you know.) Dieter as your sperm donor except he said “bun making appointments” because he has his reasons he doesn’t feel like telling you until the bun is in that oven and Ezra or Javi P in an AU as a sex worker because…again reasons 👀 It could be any of these or that Din and fairy warrior idea I had. 🤣 All of these are…very me. lol 😂
That’s it for this week’s update!
Special thanks to:
@angelofsmalldeath-codeine for listening to my nonsense daily and exchanging Golden Girls meme & gifts. ❤️
@fhatbhabie for almost typing “Hot dog water” in one of her fics. 😂💜
@maggiemayhemnj for reading my initial draft of “Only Parts of You Mr. Morales” and bravely asking, what is the origin of that term? Like the professor she is. 🤓
@goodwithcheese for asking me to pick between Javi P and Obyern Martell, she asks the hard questions.
@megamindsecretlair for indulging my ideas for future chapters of “This is the Neighborhood Din” and I thank you for listening.
@wannab-urs for giving me challenges and had me write two different Dieter fics with very different feels. ⭐️
Love ❤️ Nerdie!! 😍

Enhancing D/S With Please And Thank You
Tumblr media
It is no secret we live in a world where being polite and kind is forgotten. Just a trip to your local grocery store to see it live and in person. A challenge for the bold, head on over to your local Walmart to observe a display of truly poor manners. The lifestyle is no different. Just ask any submissive about the crass messages they receive daily and women on any social media platform about the number of unsolicited todger selfies that roll in. It is time to set aside a minute to remind the dominant population that saying please and thank you should be part of their interactions with their submissive(s).
So often d-types forget that submissives, especially those in a relationship, process a request differently than vanilla people. When a dominant makes a request, a submissive may not take it as an order but since they take pride in pleasing their d-type, they want and in fact, at times need to please or serve. So when a submissive hears, for example, “Since you are in the kitchen, could you grab me a ___” they do not feel, as a vanilla might, that this is simply if it is a convenient request because they internalize even a simple request as a chance to serve and please their dominant. It is befuddling when one sees or hears of d-types asking their submissive to do something for them but not saying please with the request. I think that even if a d-type is telling their submissive to do a task, they can still mind their manners and say things like “Today, would you please do ___ for me” or “I want you to write in your journal three times this week for me please”. Now, there are times, especially during play when it can be fun, exciting, and erotic as heck to order a submissive to and fro but outside of those times, whenever humanly possible d-types need to remember, please.
There are many memes, gifs, and the like that circulate all over the kinky internet where submissives are shown saying “Thank you Sir/Ma’am, may I have another”. Whenever I see one of these my brain always defaults back to Animal House where the fraternity pledges are spanked with the house paddle and must always say “Thank you, sir, may I have another” after each wallop. Dominants need to say thank you to their submissive when they do something for their dominant. It is fun to hear a submissive say thank you after a healthy smack on their bottom but d-types need to remember to say thank you for the big and little things their s-types do for them. No matter if it is fetching them a hot beverage or exploring a fantasy together, saying thank you must be part of a dominant’s vocabulary. An idea for d-types is saying thank you not just when your submissive does something for you but also at the end of the day by saying thank you for doing X, Y, and Z for me today. It is simple, the more a submissive feels appreciated by their dominant, the more they will crave to do.
While please and thank you may seem old-fashioned, using these words is an easy way for a dominant to always reinforce just how precious their submissive is to them. A bonus of all of this is if a d-type is in the habit of using these words, they not only sound like a polite person in public, rather than the kinkeriffic dominant they are, discreetly giving an ‘order’ to their submissive in a vanilla surrounding and the vanilla world believes the dominant who said please and thank you is just a polite person, never grasping what is happening under the surface. Lastly, dominants must always remember that submissives have the right to say no at any time and for any reason, so using good manners helps make the s-type feel appreciated which means they are less inclined to want to say no.
Thank you for reading this how else do you feel that a well-mannered dominant enhances a lifestyle partnership?
As with all of my writings, please see this disclaimer.

4, 14, 15!
ooh thanks for this
4. favourite dish specific for your country? I don't know... Dutch cuisine isn't exactly much to write home about. Though we do have "stamppot" - potatoes with leafy vegetables (like lettuce or kale) mashed together and (usually) served with sausage. It's good winter food for when it's cold out. You won't go hungry when you have that for dinner! And not *really* specific to the Netherlands but 'patatje met' - fries/chips with mayonnaise (the only right way to eat it really) or poffertjes - mini pancakes with a little bit of butter and A LOT of powdered sugar - it's SO GOOD. Or stroopwafels - two thin wafers with syrup in between. especially in winter when you let the syrup melt over a mug of hot coffee or hot chocolate. 14. do you enjoy your country’s cinema and/or TV? Some of it. Some Dutch tv shows and films are good (though the sound is usually absolutely shit because Dutch studios skimp on sound techs) but these days I only really watch things like the (Dutch version of) the Daily Show - De avondshow met Arjen Lubach and the Dutch version of Have I got news for you. I don't really have the patience for other things. Though if it's available on netflix outside of the Netherlands, Anne+ is a good dutch show and film. And I always always always recommend Chez Nous - a feel good gay heist movie. 15. a saying, joke, or hermetic meme that only people from your country will get? I don't really know... we had Harry Potter as a prime minister in the early 2000s and now we have Voldemort as minister of health. (No, really)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Every time there is a disagreement within a political party someone quits and starts their own party - comedians can barely keep up. Other than that...i don't know. There was this blog with Dutch memes here years ago but that was mostly commentary on current events. Which is usually one big clusterfuck.

6: Eating habits and sample daily menu.
Brown, brown, brown; almost everything they eat is brown!
Growing up, it was mostly baked goods, stews, and dried foods that kept them alive in their wet, chilly climates. Puddings are old-faithful’s, alongside bread and cream. Today, you’ll happily see that spices have grown on them. They all love a good curry, especially stuffed inside a handheld pie and served piping hot from a local take-away restaurant.
(By the way, Scotland still makes haggis with real sheep’s stomach and refuses to alter his recipe, despite the rest of the family nagging him to modernize and use artificial casing instead.)
✨ Sample Menu for a Busy Weekday ✨
Breakfast - If not in a hurry, baked beans in their preferred style, eggs, marmalade on toast, and either black or white pudding. If in a hurry, instant porridge. If running late (due to a hangover), they’ll rush out the door without eating. But morning caffeine is a must, and they’ll pick up some tea on the way to work.
Lunch - Either they’ll have sandwiches with crisps, or a hodge-podge of leftovers from previous dinners. A cream-based soup (like cullen, potato + leek, or tomato), corned beef, and pickled veggies. If they forgot to pack a lunch, they’ll grab a pasty, sausage roll, or curry pie from a vendor.
After-work Snack - Beer and chips from the local pub.
Dinner - When they don’t bring home fast-food... Taking whatever they have in the fridge, they’ll throw it in a pot and call it “coddle”. Or just “stew”. Often containing sausage, onions, potatoes, stock, maybe some carrots, turnips, cabbage, leeks, and garlic. Dishes like these are hearty, easy, and suit their straight-forward approach to cooking. Both Ireland and Scotland like adding beer and oat groats to their stews.
21: Turn-ons? Turn-offs?
So obviously, they each have their own inclinations, but these are some general preferences that I think apply to the whole group: the UK brothers and Ireland. Let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to expand upon!
Turn-ons 💖
Teasing and banter
Able to complain about the same things together
A charming and/or bubbly personality
Kink and rough stuff
Good at cooking
Turn-offs 💔
Awkward silences
Being unfunny, but still attempting to make jokes
“Oh, I love your accent!”
Boot-licking and ass-kissing
Fussiness
Thanks for the ask, anon!! I had fun exploring these characters; it’s a great way to exercise creative thinking. If you have more requests, please send them in! My ask box is always open.

When you love someone with all your heart in matrimony you teach them to love whom and what you love; not to hate the beloveds that laid down your life for you. Kings don't sell moms if they want to succeed in Eternal Cosmic realms. They tread lightly around every mothers heart as if she has a bouquet of flowers growing from it emitting greatest fragrance regardless of reality. Humanity stinks- we all shit daily- but glimmer of God is ever present in natural born humans. I'm concerned about retardation of biology at @neuralink-api-official @teslamotorsblog @teslamodel3 Sweatshops. How could Chinese concentration camps be any better than Gaza or American Apartheid. Censorship w/ x ray like shadowbans and data rape on @x is worse than ever before. It's the piggy political ap for hooking to Mars. Gross. Who wants to be in a Spaceship with bugged up cancerous capitalistic monsters? Not I. They need to cleanse- not Robot AI up on stolenbcholdren, moms, body parts and political war drafts. My family supported Democrats my whole life and they suck. Then my dad, brother and X meme freak Dr. Sunil switched to #Trumpleberry hookers. I really think they're all sold out due to military contracts. Moms can't marry Janes Bond because they just screw over moms and rob her. It's an outdated model. I was hoping Elon could come through with me and be a divine co-parent. That's what his kids, mom and I hold for him. Prayers and support so he's confident and brave enough to serve our mothers with honor. It'll be so hot won't it if he walks his talk today? Sad to see everyone turn on @elonmuskparody & @taylorswifts13 canceling them in real time for their high IQ. I'm sorry. I really thought #eloning could have potential to bring paradise but 7 million Jews want to beat their "Whale" to death in sex slavery and tell us not to cry about their Apartheid isolation warlocks that won't allow our Physicists true love. They all miss me. Even my x wanted me back. I prefer Elon. I hope he's not a Stephan Hawkings shadow of himself after Airforce experimentation from Canadian hookers. Why don't we have higher standards? He could've been a king. My son still has potential. Please release him & Anjali now. Twitter court failed- not moms. Get the attys to the border recycling junk on tin art fence. Could you post us daily updates? My brother Haydn Huntley prints 3d digital printers for your astronauts to build rockets. You could melt some of the junk but I like old automobile parts and it will be a lovelybcountrywide tribute to your contribution at Tesla as we dissolve our equity and end with #Cybertruck finale for #Moms - shoot a successful rocket after that. We're going for quality of life in Mars with best #Eloning #Vastu Architecture and need model villages here for every launch. Give $100m to each queen- then shoot a rocket- and curb all outflow to hookers. If they want a mommy cybertruck they need to telk me their whole story at [email protected] - we don't go behind moms back when she has a contractual project- presents- promises- in contract on X. That was defamation for attys to kink up X with smears hiring Eastern European hookers to build AI. It's an international trafficking scam in WW3. Does anyone want to pleasure another Jewish atty or judge? No. We're all the @himym-life-lessons kids raped? That's how pedophilia must've crept into our family. My cousin James Mahoney's dad Jim was an atty and James was born in '63 like my brother but he was pimped to Army and sold his step son to them as a small child to groom him to be a rockstar gigolo whore. They break womans hearts to sell them to incarceration. I heard @taylorswift was caged after football team "f'd" over her man with hookers. Is Elon caged too? ): #4BillionMothersStrong #Eloning #KidsHome #Cybertrucks #Cybermoms #Peace #O

The quality of short videos is not as good as that of medium and long videos?
Tumblr media
Station B will change the way it displays HE Tuber front-end data, and many people believe that Station B will return to the main track of medium- and long-form videos. Chen Rui also emphasized in his speech: "The year-on-year growth rate of PUGC mid- and long-form videos has remained above 26% in the past year, so the current base of Bilibili is still PUGC mid- and long-form videos."
In 2021, Station B launched Story Mode in the form of short videos, but after more than two years of operation, the results did not seem to meet management’s expectations. On the one hand, native medium- and long-form video UP owners and old fans of station B will be repelled by the influx of short video content. Creators are worried about diverting their traffic, and old users are worried that the original community atmosphere of the platform will be undermined. dilution.
From an industry-wide perspective, Bilibili’s short video products cannot stand on their own and can only serve as a supplement to the platform’s content ecosystem. It is difficult to drive user growth and cannot seize resources from DouKuai.
However, for Bilibili, the current competitive situation it faces, whether it is the decline in user data or the decrease in advertising revenue, should be attributed to the pressure of the short video platform, not the content form of short video.
Chen Rui gave a more extreme example in his speech, "A UP owner spent half a month and carefully produced a half-hour video. The quality is very good, but the playback volume may be as much as that of a two-minute video shot with a mobile phone." Daily life videos are pretty much the same.”
Frankly speaking, this situation does exist in the creative process, and is not even uncommon, so it is highly recognized and resonated by the creator community.
But at the same time, it is worth noting that with the vigorous development of the short video industry in recent years, the aesthetic level of users has also improved, which has forced the short video ecology to change. Its creation cost and production level are not necessarily higher than those in China. Video creators want low.
For example, the cross-dressing blogger "Zhu Tiexiong" who attracted tens of millions of followers with only 18 videos last year, and the Sannong blogger "Hao Duan Duan Pig" who gained 1 million followers in one week this year, have demonstrated their video production capabilities and content creativity. The relatively outstanding level has also achieved a double harvest of data dissemination and audience reputation.
Therefore, it is biased to only use short videos and medium and long videos to distinguish content quality. It can only be said that under this mechanism, the filtered traffic content will be more in line with the original content ecology of Bilibili.
3. Station B has not yet solved its profitability problem
Chen Rui is determined to reorganize the content ecology of Station B. On the one hand, it is due to the phenomenon that bad currency drives out good currency in the platform ecosystem, and on the other hand, it is due to the imminent profit pressure of Station B.
As a content platform, Bilibili was once recognized as a "mecca for creating memes" in the Internet circle. With its free and open discussion atmosphere and avant-garde content ecology, Bilibili has produced titles such as "Rain Girl Without Melon", "Mouse Tail Juice", " "The defense is broken" and other well-known hot memes, but looking back on the past year or two, a large number of Internet hot memes have exploded on short video platforms represented by Douyin.
Another noteworthy change is that there are fewer and fewer Chinese video content and UP owners out of the circle at Station B. The most recent one can be traced back to "Second Uncle Cured My Mental Internal Conflict" a year ago, and Looking back three or four years ago, Bilibili creators represented by Half Buddha Immortal, Wizard Finance, He Classmate, etc. often produced out-of-the-box works.
These two changes may not be eye-catching, but for a platform like Station B, they are enough to make people anxious. When a content platform cannot rely on content to attract more traffic, it means that there is a problem with the foundation on which the platform relies for its survival.
Another more significant problem is that Bilibili's target deadline of "achieving breakeven in 2024" is getting closer, but as of the first quarter of this year, Bilibili's net loss is still 630 million, and its total revenue is only There was an increase of 0.3%.
Amid the lack of open source, Bilibili has focused more on "saving expenditures." According to its financial report, Bilibili's total operating expenses and marketing expenses have continued to decline.
Another more significant cost reduction is the reduction of subsidies for UP owners, which has directly led to the emergence of the "UP owner suspension trend". Although CEO Chen Rui believes that this conclusion is misleading by the media, Bilibili UP It is an indisputable fact that the main income has shrunk.
Neither the platform nor the creators can always generate electricity for love. The platform's revenue is weak and it will reduce expenses. The decrease in creators' income will inevitably affect the output of content.
In this way, we actually fall into a vicious circle that can never be closed. The platform wants to use higher-quality content to maintain community traffic and thereby enhance its commercial monetization capabilities, but it is unable to provide content creators with the most direct support.
Regardless of whether it is the "number of views" or "video playback minutes" that is displayed to the outside world, what most creators are concerned about is whether the increase in traffic brought about by this change can offset the impact of the decline in the unit price of content subsidies, or bring Come to more monetization opportunities.
If this change only stops at data indicators, then this will undoubtedly be another empty promise made by Bilibili to creators.

Coke at the White House
The “unknown item” found in the West Wing that forced a brief evacuation of the White House Sunday night and drew a Hazmat team to the executive mansion initially tested positive for cocaine, according to officials and a dispatch call made that evening.
“We have a yellow bar stating cocaine hydrochloride,” a DC firefighter stated in a radio communication at 8:49 p.m. on Sunday.
“Bag it up and take it out,” the firefighter told the Hazmat team.
The white powdery substance was found in the residence’s library on the ground floor of the building, according to the dispatch call.
However, officials familiar with the incident told The Post the purported cocaine was found in a holding area in the West Wing that is only accessible to White House staff and guests.***
First son Hunter Biden, 53, who has acknowledged a prior addiction to crack cocaine, was on the White House grounds Friday before heading off to Camp David with his father for the holiday weekend.***
Rumors circulated in April that the first son may have been crashing at the White House for a time to avoid being served with court papers by the mother of his love child.
In his memoir “Beautiful Things,” Hunter detailed his years-long battle with cocaine addiction, which he said intensified after the death of his brother Beau in 2015.
Many photos, text messages and other communications revealing his cocaine abuse ended up on the first son’s now infamous laptop, including recently surfaced images of Hunter smoking crack behind the wheel of his car in a residential Arlington, Va., neighborhood in the summer of 2018.*** https://nypost.com/2023/07/04/cocaine-found-on-white-house-premises-dispatch-call-shows/

In other R. Hunter Biden news....
Hunter Biden apparently filmed himself smoking crack behind the wheel of a car in 2018 — the same year he took a picture of himself driving 172 mph in a Porsche, according to thousands of newly uploaded photos from the first son’s abandoned laptop.
Biden, 53, is seen flashing what looks like a crack pipe and smoking it while driving through a residential neighborhood in Arlington, Virginia, on June 12, 2018, according to the photos uploaded by Marco Polo, a nonprofit firm headed by former Donald Trump aide Garrett Ziegler.
Less than two months later, he was seen racing to Las Vegas on August 1, when he took a snap of the car’s dashboard, revealing that he was going at least 172 mph.
The pictures were found on Biden’s infamous laptop, which also contained messages to multiple women waiting for him to arrive in Sin City for a hot tub party, the Daily Mail reported Sunday.***

Gunman arrested for Philadelphia mass shooting which left 5 dead is BLM activist who wore women’s clothes: sources
The rifle-wielding suspect who donned a bulletproof vest before allegedly shooting dead five men and injuring two children in Philadelphia has been identified as a Black Lives Matter supporter who shared gun-toting memes on social media.
Kimbrady Carriker, 40, was nabbed shortly after the bloodshed in the city’s Kingsessing neighborhood Monday night, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported, citing sources.
Cops haven’t yet publicly disclosed the suspect’s identity.

Nellie writes
→ “I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father”: That’s what Hunter Biden texted a Chinese businessman, while demanding $10 million. A Maltese bank where one of his business enterprises had an account was shut down in 2018 after the government suspected it of money laundering. I was trying to understand that and came upon this hilariously cryptic PBS headline from a couple of months ago: “Republicans are using financial records to investigate Hunter Biden. Here’s how.” The story doesn’t explain what was found, instead focusing on the process, implying that it’s maybe shady to use financial records to investigate financial crimes. Thank God we fund this important work.
Meanwhile an IRS whistleblower, Gary Shapley, has come out to say that his work on the Hunter Biden case was obstructed and that he was blocked from pursuing leads into the person Hunter called “dad” or “the big guy.” They were right to pump the brakes on Gary’s rather nosy tendencies. “Dad”? That could be ANYONE. What’s next, going after the guy for locking in some defense contracts in exchange for some time with “Papa” or “Daddy Dearest” or “My dad the president, Joe Biden?” What are we, a banana republic?
Here is what Shapley said to CBS News: “We have to make sure as a special agent for IRS Criminal Investigation that we treat every single person exactly the same. And that just simply didn’t happen here.”
I just wish there was a single mainstream media outlet that could explain this all to me in a sophisticated fact-based way because it looks bad. But, also, addicts say all kinds of things. (Ed note: The Free Press is working on a breakdown of all the Hunter Biden allegations.)
Last note: Hunter was apparently kicked out of LA’s best sex club, according to the club’s founder (who himself has now been ousted for tattling on Hunter). And if shooting school kids isn’t disturbing enough
DETROIT (AP) — A teenager awaiting sentencing for killing four students at a Michigan high school has been “exhibiting sporadic, disturbing behavior” in jail, prosecutors said, just a month before a key hearing to determine if he will serve a life prison term.
The disclosure about Ethan Crumbley, 17, was made in a court document this week and at a routine monthly hearing Friday in Oakland County court.
Prosecutors did not offer any details in public but shared them privately with Judge Kwame Rowe and Crumbley’s attorneys.
Crumbley pleaded guilty to murder, terrorism and other charges for a mass shooting at Oxford High School in 2021. Four fellow students were killed and seven more people were wounded.
Crumbley is being held at the county jail but is kept away from adults who are also in custody.
He has “started exhibiting sporadic, disturbing behavior,” assistant prosecutor Marc Keast said in a court filing. “This behavior has been documented via report and body-worn camera from jail personnel responding to various incidents. Court should overrule Kennedy v. Louisiana, 554 U. S. 407 (2008) for dirtbags like this.
Gerson Fuentes, 28, was sentenced raping and impregnating a 9-year-old Ohio girl who later sought an abortion in Indiana.  He will be eligible for parole in as little as 25 years.
Common Pleas Court Judge Julie Lynch, who was not required to approve the plea agreement, said the girl’s family “begged” the judge to back it. Lynch called the deal a “very hard pill for this court to swallow.”
“Anyone who’s ever been in this courtroom for the last 20 years knows how this court feels about these babies, young people, being violated,” Lynch said. “However, today, by the request of the family, this court will be sentencing without comment.”
The maximum sentence would have been life without parole. Settling the case before trial will spare the survivor from having to testify in court.***

This is not merely some one-off event in Washington, a random act of violence that can be dismissed as a tragic outlier. This is what the Democrats have enabled with their twisted, pro-criminal view of crime policy. The district's Democrats have refused to even pretend that crimes committed by juveniles are a problem. According to District of Columbia Attorney General Brian Schwalb, carjackings and robberies by juvenile offenders that have the very real possibility of escalating into homicides are just “kids being kids.”

Mom was right: "if you can't think of something nice to say, don't say anything at all."
Golden Valley, Minnesota sought a new police chief.  The mayor lists his pronouns in his correspondence, and it is a "city that believes in and stands for the values of social equity, inclusion and justice. We embrace diversity and recognize the rights of individuals to live their lives with dignity, free of discrimination, fear, violence and hate.”
The police union and many citizens supported interim chief Scott Nadeau, a white man.  The city's equity management apparently wanted Virgil Green, who would apparently improve the city's Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity.
The mayor was/is outraged that
We have officers who secretly recorded an equity meeting and used the recording to undermine the city’s equity efforts and intimidate staff. It has been nearly a year since this happened and no one has been disciplined for this behavior, even though it is in direct opposition to our city values, our welcome statement and possibly a violation of city policy.
While crime numbers are trending up on the east side of the city and we’ve experienced two recent violent incidents, members of the police dept. are instead monitoring social media comments of city employees, their families and members of one of our city commissions.  https://kstp.com/video/golden-valley-mayor-statement-regarding-police-chief-search/
Now, if they were wasting time on social media during work hours, they should be disciplined, but that's not what the mayor alleges.  Shep Harris (he/him/his) was also offended that the union delivered to him a letter supporting Nadeau during a public meeting.
Once again, don’t say a thing you don’t mean.  If you mean it, if you say it, and own it.

Hm, I wonder if the two phenomena are related?
The murder rate in Washington state rose to an all-time high in 2022, as the state reported consistently low police staffing and the lowest number of police officers per capita in the nation.
The Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs released its annual report Monday, reporting 394 murders last year, over a 16% increase compared to 338 murders in 2021. This year's murder numbers mark the highest number recorded since 1908 when law enforcement began using the National Incident-Based Reporting System to track information.
The number of police officers in Washington dropped to the lowest rate in state history, with data from 2022 showing 10,600 officers in The Evergreen State. The WASPC 2021 report documented 10,736 commissioned officers, slightly more than this year's data.
The staffing rate sits at 1.36 officers per 1,000 people, marking the lowest per capita rate of officers in the state since the 1980s. Washington state has the lowest law enforcement staffing rate in the country, with WASPC Executive Director Steven Strachan saying this data marks the 13th year in a row Washington holds ranks.
The number of arrests for drug and narcotics violations was down by 33% in 2022, totaling 1,444 arrests this year compared to 2,163 in the previous.

Who could possibly own the coke?

In a statement describing the events surrounding the cocaine's discovery, which began July 2, the Secret Service said as part of its review, it compiled a list of "several hundred" people who may have accessed the area where the substance was discovered. But no fingerprints could be found on the cocaine's packaging and there was "insufficient DNA" for "investigative comparisons," the Secret Service said.*** https://www.cbsnews.com/news/white-house-cocaine-found-secret-service-investigation-closes/
Secret Service found the coke on 2jul23.  What’s important is when the coke was left.
I have heard that when you visit the White House, you walk down a hall with a grate or screen that you wouldn’t notice.  On the other side of the screen is a dog sniffing for bombs and contraband.  The only people who don’t have to walk by the screen are family members of the President.
There may be insufficient DNA for a nuclear DNA test.  There may well be enough to test for Mitochondrial DNA.  That would be enough to include or exclude Robert H. Biden as a suspect.

Freedom of religion issue
The Alaska Department of Corrections has instituted a new policy that banned the use of altar wine during religious ceremonies, effectively barring Catholic Mass from being offered at correctional facilities.
“No altar wine or other alcoholic beverages will be used by anyone who is involved with any activity. The use of a non-alcoholic substitute (juice) for altar wine may be considered,” the interim policy established on June 6 reads.***
The interim policy effectively bans Catholic masses, which require a priest to consecrate and consume both bread and wine in order for the Mass to be considered valid.***
The 2004 Vatican instruction Redemptionis sacramentum states that “It is altogether forbidden to use wine of doubtful authenticity or provenance, for the Church requires certainty regarding the conditions necessary for the validity of the sacraments. Nor are other drinks of any kind to be admitted for any reason, as they do not constitute valid matter.”
The Catechism of the Catholic Church says, “The essential signs of the Eucharistic sacrament are wheat bread and grape wine.”
Catholic parishioners are only required to receive either bread or wine during communion, as Jesus is believed to be fully present in both species. But Catholic doctrine dictates that both species must still be present at the Mass and consumed by the celebrant. Yet the Alaska Department of Corrections policy does not even allow solely the priest to use or consume alcoholic wine.***
A source familiar said that Catholic Church leaders in Alaska are preparing for potential legal action to fight the policy, but are concerned about retaliation.
The Archdiocese of Anchorage-Juneau and the Diocese of Fairbanks did not immediately respond to a request for comment.*** https://thespectator.com/topic/alaska-prisons-effectively-ban-catholic-mass-wine/

NY serial murder case
CNN — A New York architect is in custody for the Gilgo Beach murders, an unsolved case tied to at least 10 sets of human remains discovered since 2010 in suburban Long Island, according to two law enforcement sources.
This is the first arrest in the long-dormant case, which sparked conflicting theories about whether a serial killer was responsible.
The man in custody was identified as Rex Heuermann, multiple sources told CNN Friday. How many murders he has been connected with is unclear.
Authorities were executing a search warrant at an address registered to him in Massapequa Park, the sources said. A court appearance is scheduled later Friday morning, according to the Suffolk County DA’s office.***

You know the creeps are watching those videos with unsavory interest, right?
Many young people in Italy are expressing outrage on social media, after a judge cleared a school caretaker of groping a teenager, because it did not last long enough.
The case involves a 17-year-old student at a Rome high school.
She described walking up a staircase to class with a friend, when she felt her trousers fall down, a hand touching her buttocks and grabbing her underwear.
"Love, you know I was joking," the man told her when she turned around.
After the incident, which happened in April 2022, the student reported the caretaker, 66-year-old Antonio Avola, to police.
He admitted to groping the student without consent, but said it was a joke.
A Rome public prosecutor asked for a three-and-a-half year prison sentence but this week the caretaker was acquitted of sexual assault charges. According to the judges, what happened "does not constitute a crime" because it lasted less than 10 seconds.

Good sentencing decision
PITTSBURGH (AP) — The gunman who killed 11 people at a Pittsburgh synagogue in 2018 is eligible for the death penalty, a federal jury announced Thursday, setting the stage for further evidence and testimony on whether he should be sentenced to death or life in prison.
The government is seeking capital punishment for Robert Bowers, who raged against Jewish people online before storming the Tree of Life synagogue with an AR-15 rifle and other weapons in the nation’s deadliest antisemitic attack. The jury agreed with prosecutors that Bowers — who spent six months planning the attack and has since expressed regret that he didn’t kill more people — had formed the requisite legal intent to kill.
Bowers’ lawyers argued that his ability to form intent was impaired by mental illness and a delusional belief that he could stop a genocide of white people by killing Jews who help immigrants.
Jurors reached the verdict after less than two hours of deliberation. As it was read, Bowers showed little reaction in keeping with his demeanor throughout the trial. In the courtroom gallery, survivors and victims’ relatives heeded the judge’s request to keep their emotions in check.***
U.S. Attorney Eric Olshan said Bowers wasn’t delusional, but that he “just believes things that are repugnant.”  https://www.denverpost.com/2023/07/13/the-gunman-who-killed-11-people-in-a-pittsburgh-synagogue-is-found-eligible-for-the-death-penalty/

Glen Frey sang “There's lots of shady characters, lots of dirty deals,” and he could have been singing about Jeff Epstein and his dirtbag friends.
The then-first lady of the US Virgin Islands was a well-paid employee of already convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein — and even helped him get visas “to bring victims to his island,” according to court documents.
The startling allegations about Cecile de Jongh were made by JPMorgan Chase in response to a lawsuit brought by the islands’ attorney general over the banking giant’s own years-long financial support of the now-dead pervert.
In a filing Wednesday, the bank again made the accusation that the islands’ “government officials actively facilitated Epstein’s crimes” — with the first lady “his ‘primary conduit’ for spreading money and influence.”
De Jongh ran Epstein’s business operations for several years — including when her husband, John de Jongh, was the territory’s governor, noted the filing, which included dozens of emails.

Be glad we have a 1st Amendment.
By Rep. Mike Gallagher - As part of a push to "sinicize" religion, the Chinese Communist Party has embarked on a 10-year project to rewrite the Bible and other religious texts.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus famously confronts the accusers a woman caught committing adultery, saying "let the one among you who is guiltless be the first to throw a stone at her."  ***
A possible sneak preview of what a Bible with socialist characteristics might look like appeared in a Chinese university textbook in 2020. The rewritten Gospel of John excerpt ends, not with mercy, but with Jesus himself stoning the adulterous woman to death.  [emphasis added]
Across Henan province, local CCP officials forced Protestant churches to replace the Ten Commandments with Xi Jinping quotes. "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me," became diktats like: "Resolutely guard against the infiltration of Western ideology." *** https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/chinese-communist-party-rewriting-bible

[38 y/o Jesse Lee] Calhoun, reportedly a talented artist who told booking officials he earned his living painting designs on vehicles, has a long record of felony convictions dating to 2004. After arresting him in 2018 with meth, several guns, and more than 500 rounds of ammunition, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office called him a “prolific thief and career criminal.” Calhoun’s most recent convictions came in November 2019, when he pleaded guilty in separate cases to a raft of felonies, including burglary, unauthorized possession of a stolen vehicle, and injuring a police officer and a police dog when they attempted to arrest him.*** He was released on July 22, 2021.

Eh, they all look alike, right?
Manuel Diego Soza had no idea the trouble ahead when he tossed his old Texas license plate in the trash at an AutoZone store earlier this year.
Months after throwing away the old plate and putting his new Colorado plates on his silver Subaru Forester, police officers showed up to Soza’s Denver apartment and took him to jail on theft charges.
Their investigation hinged on the expired Texas license plate. A Hispanic man had walked out of a Walmart store with a stolen $199 speaker and climbed into a vehicle bearing that license plate. A Westminster police detective said Soza, who is also Hispanic, was “clearly” the thief.***
the expired Texas license plate was registered to Soza’s silver Subaru Forester, not a black Subaru Outback. Soza had a separate, active Colorado vehicle registration for the silver Subaru Forester, police records show.
Arrick then pulled up a picture of Soza, who moved to Colorado in 2021 and works as an attorney, and compared it to a surveillance photo of the man who stole the speaker. She concluded the two Hispanic men were one and the same.
“The suspect who stole the merchandise is clearly Manuel Diego Soza,” she wrote in a report.
But that conclusion was flawed, Soza contends. Beyond the neck tattoo, the man in the photo was believed to be between 18 and 25 years old, with a height of about 5 feet, 3 inches; Soza is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 32 years old.
“He had a neck tattoo, he didn’t look anything like me,” Soza said. “He was just another Hispanic male. I assume (the detective) saw my name and was like, ‘Hispanic male, this matches somehow.'”
Soza said he felt deeply embarrassed when he was handcuffed at his apartment complex, walked to a police car and taken to jail, where he spent about six hours behind bars before being released on bail.*** https://www.denverpost.com/2023/07/17/westminster-theft-arrest-false-manuel-soza-attorney/

Complicated obstructing justice case
Two whistleblowers, IRS supervisory agent Gary Shapley and an anonymous whistleblower referred to as “Whistleblower X,” have also alleged that the Justice Department interfered in [Hunter] Biden’s criminal investigation by blocking David Weiss, the lead U.S. attorney on the case, from bringing charges in the jurisdiction of his choice and denied his request for special counsel status. During the investigation of Hunter Biden a
former supervisory special agent confirmed on Monday that the FBI and Secret Service were tipped off about an interview with the younger Biden on the day before the interview was scheduled to occur.
According to the testimony, IRS and FBI criminal investigators were instructed to stand down outside of Biden's house on the day of the interview and told not to approach Biden until he called them.
House Oversight Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) stated that as a result of the tipoff in December 2020, Biden was never interviewed as part of the investigation.
"The NIGHT BEFORE our team interviewed the former FBI supervisory special agent who confirmed key portions of the IRS whistleblowers’ testimony, the agent received a letter from the FBI directing him to “DECLINE TO RESPOND” to our committee’s questions regarding our ongoing Biden Family investigation," Comer said in a statement on Tuesday. Couldn’t happen to a nicer municipal gov’t
Seattle, Washington, is experiencing a well-deserved onslaught of legal trouble for its handling of the George Floyd riots of 2020. Lawyers for teenage shooting victim Robert West are next in line to hold it accountable.
West and a friend tried to escape the barricaded “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” that the Black Lives Matter mob had established. They were shot in their car, costing West his eye and part of his skull. His friend lost his life, prompting his father to file a wrongful death lawsuit just weeks ago.
"Through their actions and inactions, the city of Seattle, Seattle agencies, Seattle employees, the County of King, the State of Washington, their agents and elected officials are responsible for the preventable and predictable significant injuries of Robert West," West's attorneys said in their notice of claims.
The city, as they point out, “aided and abetted” the illegal occupation by purposefully pulling police out. Victims of the anarchist experiment learned the hard way, through property damage, at least six shootings, and a lack of medical assistance, that structured law enforcement is necessary. The city has already settled a case with business owners with a $3.6 million payout for the destruction.*** https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/seattles-chaz-reckoning-continues

“a suspect threatened to “kill this n—” because his iPhone password was too long”
***The number of holdups reported by the Metropolitan Police Department has exploded this year by nearly 60% as thieves brazenly confront citizens outside bars, public libraries and the victims’ own apartments.
The wave of robberies are contributing to the sense of randomness that has accompanied the District’s stunning surge in violent crime in the first six months of 2023.***
Robberies that don’t involve a loss of life are equally as jarring given how suddenly the criminals pounce.
Police said that four different victims were robbed within a six-minute period Saturday in the Adams Morgan and Kalorama neighborhoods.
Each time, police said the suspects quickly pulled up in a vehicle, flashed a handgun and took the victims’ property before speeding off.***
Saturday’s rapid robbery spree was similar to one that police thwarted a day earlier in Northwest.
Three 18-year-old suspects — Rasheme Holmes, of Southeast, Trinity Nash, of Southeast, and Javon Avents, of Northeast — were taken into custody on July 14 after police said they robbed six people in less than 24 hours across the District.***
One of the victims was a White House staffer who was threatened with being stabbed if she didn’t hand over her purse near the Mount Pleasant Library, according to court documents. Another victim who was robbed on Fuller Street NW told police that a suspect threatened to “kill this n—” because his iPhone password was too long.
Robberies may also be a way for people looking to dabble in more serious crime.
MPD arrested 19-year-old Isaiah Matthews on Tuesday after police said he stole a victim’s car keys at gunpoint in D Street SE.
But Matthews has a criminal record that includes prior misdemeanor assault and threats offenses where he wasn’t kept behind bars for long.*** https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2023/jul/20/violent-thieves-dc-target-pedestrians-cyclists-dri/

The problem, you see, is that there is software that “allows Ring owners to send videos they’ve captured with their Ring video doorbell cameras and outdoor security cameras to law enforcement.”
What’s most upsetting is that Wired’s Gear team members have very nicely asked Ring to stop letting people easily send clips from their doorbell cams to the cops, but Ring doesn’t obey the Gear team edicts. From the review: “Multiple members of WIRED’s Gear team have spoken to Ring over the years about this feature. The company has been clear that it’s what customers want.” Ring has incurred the wrath of the Gear team, who announce: do not buy the great home security camera, for it is too good. Cartels fuel shoplifiting?
Mexican cartels are quietly expanding their global criminal empires to include mass theft operations targeting big-box stores, luxury retail brands, and small businesses, then selling the stolen goods online and laundering the profits through Chinese brokers.
The same transnational criminal organizations, known as cartels, that have facilitated the greatest-ever human smuggling operation across the U.S.-Mexico border over the past two years and simultaneously caused the fentanyl epidemic in America now have a hand in organized retail crime.
“It’s a $70 billion a year enterprise — organized retail crime,” said Eric DeLaune, special agent in charge at the Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations, HSI, arm within U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, during an announcement this week of a public-private partnership between HSI; U.S. attorneys in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi; and industry leaders from Albertsons, Home Depot, and Walmart to create an Organized Retail Crime Alliance.
These organized theft rings are not merely shoplifters — they are part of a larger band of criminals that has infiltrated every state.
"In contrast to shoplifters, organized theft groups engage in large-scale thefts which rely on teams of 'boosters' who steal goods from major retail stores, 'cleaners' who disguise the origins of stolen merchandise, 'fencers' who resell products through brick-and-mortar fronts and major e-commerce websites, and professional money launderers who funnel illicit profits to criminals orchestrating schemes," HSI wrote in a June press release.*** https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/business/mexican-drug-cartels-behind-surge-in-retail-thefts

Broken windows catches a lot more than vandals.
Nearly half of NYC fare-evaders arrested this year had open warrants for other crimes — including at least one accused killer.
Of the 2,502 people cuffed for fare beating this year, 1,136 — or just over 45% — were already being sought for arrest when they tried to hitch a free ride on the city’s transit system, according to disturbing new NYPD data obtained by The Post.
NYPD Transit Chief Michael Kemper told the MTA Board Monday that fare-beaters nabbed this year also had warrants for weapon possession, felony assault, and drugs.
Many fare-beaters also came strapped — with more than 200 caught carrying deadly weapons, including 13 guns and over 200 knives, Kemper told the MTA Board.***
The shocking numbers come a month after Claude White, a homeless man accused of fatally stabbing Tavon Silver to death last month on a southbound 4 train, was charged — days later after he was caught trying to skip out on a subway fare in Harlem wearing blood-stained pants, cops said.
White, 33, was squabbling with Silver, 32, over drugs, then grabbed a steak knife Silver had on him, and plunged it twice into his chest, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said this week. White then tossed the knife into the subway tunnel, threw his shirt in the trash, and fled the 23rd Street station, Bragg said.
White, who had been on parole and was wanted in connection with a bank robbery on June 6, now faces murder and weapon charges. *** https://nypost.com/2023/07/22/nearly-half-of-fare-beaters-caught-this-year-have-had-active-warrants/

Spying on U.S. citizens
The FBI improperly used surveillance powers to conduct searches for information on a U.S. senator, a state lawmaker and a state judge, according to court records released Friday as part of a public records request.
The FBI’s improper use of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) was documented in an opinion from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) and is sure to pose challenges for an intelligence community lobbying for the reauthorization for what it sees as one of its most vital tools.
The tool — which allowed for warrantless spying on foreigners located abroad — has long been criticized as a backdoor tool for gaining information on Americans who may be communicating with those being surveilled.
And critics complain the information gathered by the agency through 702 is too easily tapped for investigations with no foreign nexus.
The FISC outlined three examples of instances where FBI personnel conducted searches of “sensitive query terms,” like those of U.S. public officials or candidates, without first seeking approval from the FBI’s deputy director.
“In June 2022, an analyst conducted four queries of Section 702 information using the last names of a U.S. Senator and a state senator, without further limitation,” the opinion states.*** https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/4110850-fbi-improperly-used-702-surveillance-powers-on-us-senator/

Surprised he didn’t offer her coke/weed/meth
A disgraced Wisconsin prosecutor secretly recorded himself having sex with three women, including one he was prosecuting.
Daniel Steffen, 52, was an assistant district attorney in Burnett County, Wisconsin, during his crimes. He was heard in at least one of the recordings promising leniency in exchange for sex, according to the criminal complaint.
He was sentenced to 18 months in prison after he was convicted in April. He faced a maximum of 10.5 years behind bars.***
Steffen's illegal escapades between 2018 and 2020 were exposed after a witness told investigators that Victim 1 "openly talked about having sexual relations with a Burnett County ADA in exchange for leniency on criminal cases."
The woman was in court after violating an order of protection against her child's father. She ultimately had to pay a fine.

democracy in California
A local school board president in California has been inundated with threats that left-wing activists will dismember her, kill her children, and slaughter her pets. Her crime? Saying that teachers should not keep parents in the dark if their children begin to “identify” as transgender.
The new Chino Valley (California) Unified School District Board of Education policy states that school officials will notify parents in writing within three days if a child seeks to “identify” as a gender “other than the student’s biological sex,” use different pronouns, adopt a different name, or use the restroom or join a sports team of the opposite sex.
The board adopted the resolution Thursday by a 4-1 vote, with member Donald Bridge casting the lone dissenting vote.
“The next morning, our district got a phone call” from an anonymous caller threatening “to kill me, and they said that they were going to dismember” school board president Sonja Shaw, the official revealed on “Washington Watch With Tony Perkins” on Monday. Police alerted Shaw to the threat shortly before a previous interview on the show last Friday.
Then Shaw looked at her district email account, where she said she saw messages stating, “You’re going to die,” with a series of profane epithets. “Your children are going to die, and your animals are going to die.” For a “point of reference, they would name what kind of animals I had,” Shaw added.
“I also got notification that people who identify as being in the terrorist organization Antifa posted on their website, ‘We declare war on Sonja Shaw,’” Shaw told Perkins, adding that the group posted her address. “They said, ‘We know where you sleep,’” the same message an angry mob screamed outside the home of then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson in 2018. “They said things like, ‘Use all force possible to stop her.’”*** https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/07/25/radicals-threaten-kill-dismember-school-board-president-adopting-parental-rights-policy/

JP Morgan gets scuzzier and scuzzier
Jeffrey Epstein brought a slew of deep-pocketed clients to JPMorgan Chase — including Google co-founder Sergey Brin, who became one of the bank’s biggest clients with investments worth more than $4 billion, according to court papers.
A bombshell legal filing in the US Southern District of New York late Monday revealed that “Brin became a client of JPMorgan’s San Francisco Private Bank in 2004” — one year after Epstein introduced Brin to Jes Staley, a former executive at JPMorgan.
“The overall Brin relationship is one of the largest in the Private Bank, of +$4BN,” wrote banker Robert A. Keller in a memo, who the documents claim was introduced to Epstein by Staley.
Brin, who’s also behind the single-family office Bayshore Global, also met with the CEO of JPMorgan’s asset and wealth management division, Mary Erdoes, plus other JPMorgan executives and members of Bayshore, the memo filed in court states.

Classic left wing ethic complainers
EXCLUSIVE — A Supreme Court advocacy group alleging ethics violations among justices including Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito likely failed to disclose its own apparent lobbying in violation of federal law, according to experts.
Fix the Court, a charity that used to be a project of the New Venture Fund, an influential nonprofit group that the left-wing dark money behemoth and for-profit consultancy Arabella Advisors manages, is helping to lead a seemingly coordinated campaign demanding Supreme Court justices publicize more about their finances. Those mounting efforts haven't stopped Fix the Court from not reporting activities on financial disclosures that could constitute grassroots lobbying, multiple tax lawyers told the Washington Examiner.
That Fix the Court may have not disclosed lobbying could further undercut its position as a watchdog committed to "transparency." In May, Fix the Court Executive Director Gabe Roth notably panicked after unwittingly leaking to the Washington Examiner his group's donors, which included liberal entities such as the New Venture Fund, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Senate Democrats last week advanced a bill supported by Roth called the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act, which aims to mandate a code of conduct for justices.**** https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/courts/fix-the-court-supreme-court-ethics-lobbying-disclosure

Impressions 2022 - Unfinished
Recently I played Wii for the first time in thousands of days. Despite failing the judgement test, I managed to gain back an entire year of my life! I wonder how much younger I could have claimed as my fitness age had I only listened more closely to the instructions. I would easily blame it on having an audience, but the squirrel syndrome struggle is real.
I used to hold the romantic notion that aging would never get to me. Perhaps I underestimated waking up to the reflection of the number eleven between my eyebrows - every morning - for an entire year. The Sharks may have rejected the Skinny Mirror but why can't Instagram offer filters for bathroom mirrors too?
Fortunately, there are a few perks to getting older. Hot flashes were particularly helpful during the recent arctic spell including the coldest Christmas Georgia had seen in 33 years. For several years I have joked about looking forward to this time in my life while people assured me otherwise. Today I can finally say that I do prefer hot flashes to the alternative. 36 years after being proclaimed a woman at an age when I had no idea what that meant, I can at least celebrate the end of a major inconvenience bestowed upon those wearing that title. Now I just need to find creative uses for unused supplies!
Sorry. I should have warned you that I think I'm going through a mid-life crisis and have lost a few of my filters. In my mid-twenties I naively thought I was going through that phase early. Instead, my is-this-all-there-is realization has morphed into time-is-running-out.
I have always been a worrier but it seems to worsen with each passing day. I expected that my anxiety would fade after selling the business and downsizing but it's been almost two years and my thoughts still keep me up at night. Minimalists claim a lightness of spirit but what I have found to be true for me is that restlessness has nothing to do with what you do-or-don't-do, have-or-don't-have and everything to do with how you feel about what you think. While meditation and prayer seem to resolve that for many, I just haven't been able to figure it out for myself.
In The Courage to be Disliked Kishimi and Koga corroborate the theories behind Adlerian psychology including the idea that all problems are interpersonal. Or, in bumper sticker fashion... People. You can't live with them. You can't live without them. Not long ago I came across a funny meme with an aerial view of a house surrounded by tall bushy trees with the tagline "When you're completely done with everybody's shit." While avoidance is a favorite go-to of mine, the reality is that I'm not a survivalist who can afford to swear people off for good. In hindsight, I should have paid attention to DJ's numerous plumbing & electrical projects. Does picking out fixtures count?
My least favorite question of the year was: How's the build coming? Though we never imposed a timeline on The Little Hangar, we did imagine finishing the year with an enclosed building instead of a wall. Between the Hangar and other work projects that remain incomplete, I have been feeling rather unaccomplished. That heaviness is balanced against thoughts around whether busyness ever really served me. I think the slow pace has helped us think about what we really want and rewarded us with time to enjoy things as they are. We overcame the when/then dilemma by treating ourselves to a dry sauna which we temporarily (or not) placed inside of a shed. The Hangar Spa has become our perfect little getaway from the grind. We've also enjoyed watching several movies under the stars Hank Hill style... with propane heaters to keep us cozy during the winter.
When we embarked on our debt free journey, I thought financial freedom would lessen my concerns. Our new lifestyle has solved some challenges but also introduced others. Despite significant changes in our daily lives, I still lie awake at night. Adler suggests that true freedom comes from letting go of our need to be recognized, and yet every year I put pressure on myself to write this message to do just that. I'm hoping that next year the Hangar and I show up a little less unfinished.

my take on the literary masterpiece, the chic diet
Firstly, I am no one. It’s part of my charm. My fifteen minutes of fame was years ago, when I had an instagram niche meme page. I didn’t even take any brand deals! And my posts averaged six thousand likes! Anyhow. I am hardly literate and well hydrated and carry a small sephora-CVS-hybrid worth in my mini tote bag. Here is my guide on how to live like me, the intermediate kitsch-rat, aspiring influencer. But like, in an apathetic, somewhat dissonant, ironic way. I like saying I live by dogmatic principles. But a lot of it, um, is just eating disorder rituals. But that’s not really important. You’re as hot as you say you are, and as much an authority on what you write so long as you say it with, you know, conviction. It’s kind of venerable how fucking delusional I am, actually. Giving any sort of advice like I’m anywhere close to the ritzy ideal of the amphetamine-areyouami label-american. New York, ideally. West Village, preferably. But I guess the kind of guide I can write is better suited to someone living in a suburb, in a house with the twelve-paned windows. I always thought those were so chic. SO quaint, in a somewhat luxe way. Like, Connecticut vibes. My parents used to drive me up there as a child to buy books and ice cream. Nowadays I’d opt for a matcha latte with novelty ice cubes, but I guess at the time it was pretty sweet.
Because I popped a Vyvanse at like, 10pm, this next little bit could go one of two ways. I will write the most articulate, brilliant piece of literature of my life. Magnum opus, if there was a skinnier word for it. Or, I will get wrapped up doing something like folding all my last-season knits (which is part of my look, okay! I don’t have a job!) and fixating on a paragraph on how a girl’s collarbones are almost as identifying as a fingerprint, or a signature. I’m not a graphologist, but if you write your A’s with the little tail on top (like on a computer), you’re probably a snake. Nothing personal, just an observation. Also, I do have a biology final to study for. Not that I’m super anal, or even particularly committed to academia, but even in my precariously manicured (read that as separate terms; I did a good job on my nail polish, okay? But I happen to also be teetering on the brink of an epiphany or a collapse. Hence the use of the word precarious.) state, I know it’s important enough I can let one of my countless side-quests sit idle for a couple more days.
The first section seems only natural to be about hydration. And the whole idea of drinking things, really. There was a section in The Chic Diet about Adderall dry-mouth, which deeply resonated with me. Once I bit off a chunk of a Nivea Strawberry Shine (my favorite lip balm, more on that later) and swished it around my mouth. Didn’t help. Really, really didn’t. Anyway, I suppose that even if it served no purpose for combatting my prevacatingly ingenious cottonmouth solution, I was able to milk a sentence or two out of the experience. “Do it for the Vine”, all grown up! And wearing bananapapaya resin hoops too. Side note, that Etsy shop is a parasocial enemy of mine. It stems from jealousy, which sucks, but hating from inside a club I’m adjacent to is much healthier than being a hateful individual towards people I would, you know, interact with. Daily. Or something. I stopped going to therapy because I felt stupid about going and I don’t live in the right kind of town to warrant vacuous $300 hours. Bitching about my well-adjusted parents and how desperately I wished my anxiety would just “go away” was plainly gross, and a waste. Like, pretty sure almost every problem I have could be solved by a couple painful conversations taking place during a hurricane. Such a shame it doesn’t rain much here. Anyhow, I digress.
Staying hydrated. It is essential to my character, my persona, if you will; to never be without either an elegant metal bottle (I’m loyal to the smooth enamelled S’well ones, printed to look like marble or a semi holographic solid) or a little 16oz tumbler with a metal straw. Hydroflasks were some of the worst things to happen to society. I want to preface this claim with the fact that I wanted one in the same way a teenage girl wants a new iPhone so she can keep up appearances with her dermatologist-dad friends who still have the XR, by the way. But I ended up spending the money on like, a minidress at Brandy Melville before it fled my city. Or maybe a Fresh Sugar tinted lipbalm. For the better, even though the dress has a busted zipper now and the lipbalm tube has inevitably gotten dinged and dented by the other contents of my mini-totebag. Unlike a car, though, a couple scuffs on your laptop or your luxury lipbalm tube looks kind of cool. Like, you’re not someone who values the pristine, unused quality of an item that was ambiguously intended to be used versus displayed on Instagram.  Now, I’m wondering why this paragraph about hydration is so fucking impossible to stay on track for. I literally drink several litres of water a day, and more tea on top of that. And sometimes an almond milk latte if I can budget it in. Not that I’m so anorexic I can’t afford a 45cal latte. They’re just not that important to me. Anyhow. Drinking lukewarm (on the cool side) water is better than ice-cold. Partially because I just get it out of the tap of my ensuite and I can’t be bothered to wait for it to run cold enough every time, and it just seems wasteful. Plus, there is something so.. skinny about drinking water at an “obscure” temperature. Trust me, I want to know why my thought process is like this too. My favorite tea is blueberry tea foraged in a side aisle at my local supermarket. I love a good commercial, high-end steep or fruit infusion as much as the next girl. Maybe more. My pantry is filled with tins labelled with things like “emerald jade organic” and “magic potion”, which is really just currants and butterfly pea flowers. But there is a necessary glamor about drinking dirt-cheap tea on the daily. Seriously, a box of 25 sachets is like, $3. At a higher point with my, um, Adderall problem, I spent like several times that on pills. I didn’t really need to include that, and could have linked the price point to the cost of a drugstore lipbalm, but I wrote it in. And I’m married to it, stubbornly, as all amateur writers should be when they wittle in a somewhat indecorous little joke. This tea is sooo good because it has a strong fruit-reminiscent taste (not as sweet as a fresh blueberry, but who wants that anyway?), it’s zero-calorie, it’s the most GORGEOUS color ever. The latte, the third drink in my little trifecta, is nothing special. But necessary. The trick is to use a milk frother to whip up sugar free syrup with instant coffee and a little bit of hot water in a glass. It’ll make the most luscious foam.. Top it off with almond milk. My dad is a coffee purist, owning both an upstairs keurig AND a downstairs one (among other more analogue methods, but I can’t name-drop, so what’s the point?), so he hates this drink. Now, calling oneself a plebian is so unglamorous and teetering on self-deprecating territory, dangerously close to insecurity. But I can use it here because I am at least posh enough to have a different pair of earrings for every outfit I could possibly come up with, and I only wear Patagonia if I am in a situation where I just have to wear fleece. Like I was saying. It’s such a simple drink, certainly not a delicacy, and… I had a joke about the word plebian but I keep getting up to refill my water and I fear I have forgotten about it.
Next section; the importance of a good tinted balm
In the intro I alluded to how a girl’s collarbones function essentially as an identifier, the way a signature or fingerprint does. This is a lie, or at least an exaggeration. But one’s ultimate tinted lipbalm is  actually extremely indicative about who you are, as a person, as a member of society, even…
If you are loyal to Dior Lipglow, I have a couple questions. One; did you shoplift one tube, once, and refill it with cheaper stuff afterwards? I did that. I consider it one of my better-kept secrets, but now you know. Might as well explain the catalyst for my parent’s first separation now, and the horrifying experience that was meeting my dad’s Manhattan sugar baby (?) at the age of thirteen, wearing an overalls dress from, like, Topshop or something else equally embarrassing. .. Kidding. I digress. It’s such a fancy lipbalm, and good too! It smells like thin mints! But I could just never justify cell phone monthly installation payment money on something I will inevitably talk off. I do own three, but two I stole (before I lost the nerve, somewhat unfortunately) and one, a boy(not)friend bought for me. This is not something I feel any remorse about, because his house was easily four thousand square feet and his sisters had a dedicated all-glass room for their shared peloton. Oil money. Ugh!
My personal favorite lip balm, and I have tried a frightening amount, has got to be the Nivea Fruit Shine collection. The frosted one is shit-ugly. Hideous. But the strawberry one is the love of my life. It’s such a pleasant red, looking healthy and rejuvenated and really completes any look. Only downside is it will always, hopefully not always, remind me of Charles. Kissing Charles, specifically. And him asking me what lipbalm it was, because he knew I was somewhat frivolous and definitive and would have a very long answer. But for whatever reason, I simply stated it was from “out of town”. Not really sure why I said that, but it plagues me (minorly) to this day. Of all the things to make up.. .. The peach one is a perfectly demure spring classic shade. Cherry exists too, but the only tube I have ever had the fortune of owning was purchased in Costa Rica and lost somewhere on the way home. Honestly tragic, it was the juiciest shade. Blackberry is perfect too, but I have to layer it with either peach or untinted lipbalm to avoid what I imagine TooPoor would choose if she believed in tinted lipbalm. I don’t mean this hatefully, I think she’s a queen, but super dark, smudgy makeup suits the eyes better in my opinion. Or something. Or something.
Afraid to bore the reader, I have to move on now. Maybe at a later date I will release an addendum on my ultimate lipbalm buying guide. But also, that is so deeply personal (and everyone needs the excuse of “hunting for the perfect staple shade!!”), so it is really not my place to have any authority on something so intimate and subjective. Etcetera.
Moving on; Decorating your room
Here is a section I lifted out of my memoir document. It fits, because as enigmatic as I hope I am, I am also quite unchanging.
I just pushed three hangers and two tiny strappy tops with the tags still on, off my bed. Most nights, all, these days, actually; I spend in my large but cluttered bedroom. I have a little ensuite with a jetted tub I’ve never used because I just never get around to it. There’s a plush grey rug, spanning the expanse of the room (covering an ugly cherry wood that doesn’t match the rest of the house; no clue why. I never asked, and the previous owners were eager to sell so they could finally ditch this town and retire in Montreal for the bagels, or Hawaii for the monk seals. Point is, I’ll never know) with loose beads and loose pills and little shards of glass from plier-crushed beads. I vacuum every day. The whole room tells you exactly the kind of person I am; the clutter I possess, the encapsulation of the projects I start, start, start and the hours I don’t sleep for and the clothes I tried on (these to sell, these to cut up with kitchen scissors; thrifted lululemon and aritzia and heaps of knits and plaid fabric..) I would not say the room is a mess. Lived in, maybe. Chopsticks and mugs and gum wrappers. Single dangle earrings. I just finished the last of my Creme Brulee eos lipbalm; disguised as a relic of 2015, I was gifted it Christmas of ‘20. I think my next waxy conquest will be a tinted Burt’s one I palmed a while back, before I lost the nerve. Peering around the room you will see shopping bags strewn about the mouth of my walk-in closet. Every surface has something shiny or colorful stacked up on it. Cluttered, busy, but intentional. Except for the walls, which are bare. Bare and gray and miles-tall when I lie flat on my back, high out of my mind, willing things to change but knowing I’m responsible for a first step I will always be too scared for. Bare, pristine, no gumtack. Empty, Like they’re waiting. I wait around a lot. It makes sense. That was an awful lot of words about my stupid blank walls when truly it does not bother me that much; I really just don’t get around to it. I have other things on the ground to tend to, like post-email nausea, addressing envelopes, marrying wire and bead.  Writing a document I care about because I am determined and I am alive, alive, alive, goddammit.
Excerpt over. The memoir is coming out when I get famous, or something earth shattering happens. Like I become the world’s least remarkable entrepreneur, and I get retweeted by Colorpop. I don’t want to be the next Elizabeth Wurtzel. I read two of her memoirs one restless night, absorbing it to make up for the nutrients I didn’t that day (you can laugh. I think that is pretty clever), heart breaking a little bit. She writes about her struggles so intrinsically, you either get it, or you don’t. Anyway. She had the books and the fame from it, and she wrote more memoirs than I think a single person should. That is admirable. Aspirational, even. But I do not want to be like her. Where was I? Oh. Yes. Decorating/adorning/filling your room. Your room should serve as the kind of place to watch a movie (if you believe in film. I don’t) and put on ridiculous glittery eye makeup, or smoke an ~artistic cigarette~ or stay up all night on the phone, which is different from staying up all night simply on your phone. Chatting with someone you are tepidly in love with is much more exciting. Not chic as the whole affair is so juvenile, but fun regardless. It’s somewhere to keep your worldly possessions, too. I know I have a lot! Also, it is kind of thrilling to hide things in your room in little crevices only you know about. Now, unfortunately, everyone reading this will know too. But, like, I trust you not to really.. do anything about it. I keep my extra juul pods in the sliding box my apple pencil came in. That box is almost more useful than the pencil itself. I’m somewhat morally opposed to the iPad. Whole culture is so embarrassing! I have a tea tin with an ounce of golden teacher shrums in it. This is tossed in my closet among tins filled with other things, like lace trim and buttons. Which makes it actually a pretty terrible hiding spot, I see now… Anyhow. Keeping benign little secrets like that is so fun. You can tell I don’t have siblings. I sort of wish I did, but it is easier to believe there is something aristocratic about being an only child. Not sure if older-sister me would be egalitarian enough to share things. But that’s prophesying, which is kind of a waste of time. I live in the now, in a room positively cluttered with meaningless things that mean the world to me, chewing on my lip because my mouth is just so dry and 5gum is just not an after-8 indulgence. To live truly kitschly, you have to have somewhat hideous decor. Now, do not confuse dissonant, or incoherent, with what I mean by “hideous decor”. The kitsch room has as many surfaces to look at as possible, while also shying away from too many shelving units. Then you risk your room looking like a storage unit or something. When my mom renovated (re: paid someone to do it) our New York house so we could sell it, all our stuff was stacked up in a Cubesmart self storage. It was sort of horrifying, seeing my childhood home reduced to plastic storage tubs piled what felt like thirty feet high. Anyway. It’s just not an  inviting way to store things; I imagine it makes your room look like your stuff is all trapped in gelatin. The more fussy, tiny things you have out in the open, the better. Nail polish. Earring trees. Bowls full of rings and lighters and water color pans perched on your windowsill. A rack with the tackiest assortment of knits and bucket hats and baguette bags. And so forth.. Quickly surveying someone’s room is so telling. Bonus points if all your books are spine-in, except for your favorite ones, because you don’t want people to get the wrong idea. (that you read).

Mind Your Manners
Tumblr media
It is no secret we live in a world where being polite and kind is forgotten. Just take a trip to your local grocery store to see it live and in person. If you are daring, head on over to Wal-Mart for a display of truly poor manners. The D/S lifestyle is no different. Just ask any submissive about the crass messages they receive daily the number of unsolicited gentleman-sausage selfies that roll in. Today we will take a minute to remind the dominant population that saying please and thank you should be part of their interactions with their submissive(s).
It seems that so often d-types forget that submissives, especially
those in a relationship, process a request differently than vanilla people. When a dominant makes a simple request, a submissive may not take it as ‘an order’ but since they take pride in pleasing their d-type, they want and in fact, at times need to please or serve. So when a submissive hears, for example, “Since you are in the kitchen, could you grab me a ___” they do not feel, as a vanilla might, that this is simply an if it is a convenient request because they internalize even a simple request as a chance to serve and please their dominant. One is left befuddled when they see or hear of d-types asking their submissive to do something for them but not saying please with the request. Even if a d-type is telling their submissive to do a task, they can still mind their manners and say things like “Today, would you please do ___ for me” or “I want you to write in your journal three times this week for me please”.
Whenever I see one of these my brain always defaults back to 1978’s classic comedy Animal House where there is a scene where the fraternity pledges are spanked with the house paddle and must always say “Thank you, sir, may I have another” after each wallop. Once again, I think dominants need to say thank you to their submissive when they do something for their dominant. One suggestion for dominants is saying thank you not just when a submissive does something but also at the end of the day saying thank you for doing X, Y, and Z for me today. The more a submissive feels appreciated, the more they will crave to do for them.
While please and thank you may seem old-fashioned, using them is a simple and easy way for a dominant to always reinforce just how precious their submissive is to them. A bonus of all of this is if a d-type is in the habit of using these words, they can sound like a polite person in public, rather than the kinkeriffic dominant they are, discreetly giving an ‘order’ to their submissive in a vanilla surrounding and the vanilla world will simply believe the dominant who said please and thank you is just a polite person, never grasping what is happening under the surface. Lastly, dominants must always remember that submissives have the right to say no at any time and for any reason, so using good manners, helps make the s-type feel appreciated which means they are less likely to want to say no. So please join in doing this and thank you for reading.

💖 SPARKLING HEART - are they a subtle or a showy lover?
vi is definitely an acts of service type lol. so hes not very showy. very practical... he’ll do ya taxes. he already got ur w2 dont even worry about it. he also got ur form 1095-a, form 1099-misc, 1099-g, form 1098, etc. he has it all and hes making sure the burden isnt heavy on u... gljgfdgjdf. virote isnt very showy lol. hes kinda quiet in his affection in that he really hates big gestures. he hates receiving big gestures too. his worst nightmare is a proposal in public. glfkdjgdfk.
not to be an astrology ho but virote’s a cancer sun w. a virgo venus in the 3rd house so like i said ealrlier he’s a tender acts of service type but but but alsoooo he also loves to write letters. i’d say all of his other love languages revolve around acts of service and communication, too. like even when he gives his boyfriend a gift, it’s a gift that he can really use in his daily life because he doesn’t believe in giving away shit that serves no purpose. like he likes receiving stuff he can use, too. hes a very practical bf…!!!
ironing his lover’s clothes and leaving them out for the morning.
rubbing their hands with rosehip oil at night.
doing some of their errands for them.
running them a hot bath with a bunch of oils and salts so it’s real comfy and stress relieving.
of course kissin and cuddlin is great....
anything except being showy, basically. excessive, big gestures of romance freak him out. he just wanna fuck in the back of a rolls royce and make sure u get ya coffee in the morning.
💌 LOVE LETTER - do they like love letters? what kind of messages do they leave for their partner?
his love letters are usually very, very sweet. not in a crazy way tho lol he just likes telling his boyfriend about his day, how hes feeling, some little facts about himself, show some appreciation. some quotes from a book hes reading. personal. on the flip side hes never received a love letter so............
............. idk what he actually likes. hes not entirely sure what he likes to see in them, himself.
............................. i think he deserves a love letter.
