the 80s really loved turning delightful little 1950s horror movies, into the most nauseating and horrific remakes, huh?

The need to look like a man from a 80s cult classic body horror movie, the need to look like the protagonist in a sci-fi movie from the 70s-80s, the need to look like the chill slacker from a 80s-90s teen movie, the need to look like a socially isolated scientist, and the need to look like the cool older cousin from the early 2000s are all fighting for dominance within me

i can NOT stop thinking about the steak scene in The Fly (1986). i know im going to completely butcher this but the idea that the computer doesn't transmit the molecules, but provides its own computer-generated interpretation of them..
Brundle had to teach the computer to 'go crazy for flesh; like grandmothers do for newborns' BUT HOW DID HE DO IT
WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR BRUNDLEFLY ????
is he even real?? he described himself as being put through a coffee filter, but was it really him or just a computer's meat-crazy idea of him? does Seth Brundle even exist anymore- fly fusion aside- or was he lost as soon as the door closed? ???
I feel so fucking insane about this movie
