The past week has been super busy with doctors appointments and work so I’ve barely been able to do the comic page or a video. But I did get some sewing practice in. This is a circle skirt sized for Dollfie Dream Dynamite dolls or any doll with a 6.5 inch waist. Why this skirt? I was taking a lovely photo of my embroidery when a fly photobombed by literally falling onto the canvas 😂I've been messing around with various fillings today since I plan to use hand embroidery for Emilia's Eagle sleeves. I think this technique is a variation of checkered stitching? (Don't quote me, lol) I really like the finished look and it's a really fun stitch, but I'm not sure this is the stitch I'll be using. I'm messing around with different shades of yellow and threads as well. Hello everyone! As promised, here’s the final piece! Ok so, it’s still a little roughshod, and it needs a lot of improvements, but I did warn you that this was my first officially completed crafts piece that didn’t involve a crochet pattern or a knitting pattern. This was all done in fabric and with a sewing machine. I’m all honesty, I’m pretty proud of it, since it’s my first time working with fat quarters, in sewing. I know they with more practice and more time, I’ll get much better. After all it’s all about experimenting and finding out which stitches are the right ones to use, and what settings you need.
