But to make it more spicy, some here are confirmed Facts. 🤫

1. Exo are not renewing with SM (all of them) Don't confuse it with the group contract, this one still valid (they renewed it) to protect and keep their name " Exo".

2. Baekhyun's having a concert in Hongkong in 2024, his comeback would be lit.

3. Luhan is still in contact with all of Exo especially Xiumin and talks to them quite often, but with Xiumin it's everyday.

4. Tao still in contact with Sehun and Chanyeol.

5. Minseok/Xiumin knows he is not popular in Exo and the members tell him to do more efforts but he's quite depressed from Fans not giving him enough attention and he believes '"he's old and boring unfunny and not handsome enough" and he feels inferior to members in his own group because he is not as handsome or tall or with a bright character or sharp sexy features to attract fans, he thinks he's short and cute and unlike the other members he's not attracting new fans anymore. Which is why you would see he's not active and doesn't do any activities because he knows he won't be supported and you can see his album no one gave a fuck.

6. No one's ready to hear this but Baekyeon was real, but mostly one sided, Yes Tae queen loved Baekhyun truly with all her heart, but she knew the age difference would be a problem among his fans and her fans and in the industry she quit mostly because they called her grandma who runs behind younger kids. Taeyeon is still so angry when they ask her about Baekhyun, and she blamed him for not taking responsibility of taming his fans who bashed them so hard that time 2014 ( Ps: he was a just rookie who debuted 2 years only he was still shy with fans and has no power and still building his career).

7. Many idols in Kpop hooked up with their members at least once, if they're not a couple they were once! or they at least once fucked up and hooked. Living with the same sex for so many years not seeing the opposite sex at all, many idol rookies and trainees admitted to have fallen in love with some of their bandmates because they were too nice or good at cooking 😅.

Luhan and Xiaotong are just media play couple that's been going on for so many years, they never even lived together and there's a vocal where Luhan says he's never even kissed her and he wants this to end as he's tired of this media play and that this stopped him from having the love of his life and always stopped potential partners from reaching him, but the media play was good benefiting both of them so they can't quit.

10. Kaisoo never dated any other person, but themselves. The media play with Jennie was Jennie's choice she liked Ji so much she is so much into The "IT Boys" the "TRENDY BOYS OF THE ERA" once you're no longer famous bye bye bitch 👋🏻.

11. Jisoo and Ah Bohyun weren't even dating. They've never even kissed Jisoo said. It's not the schedule! They didn't click.

Recently on the discord I was asked if I'd ever write Larry, and I said no. So they asked me if it is because I didn't want to write rpf, but that really isnt a problem to me. I wouldn't want to write Larry bc I don't think that they have such... interesting dynamic, I dont see that much appeal in them, and I don't think that there is anything interesting going on between them (tho plenty of writers make them work).

But it just made me think about the rpf pairings I would be willing to write about, and I realized that I didnt see the appeal in plenty of popular pairings, such as:

(Heavily exo-based list as I'm an exo fan)

Kaisoo. I honestly dont think that they work together at all, I dont see it. They are too different and not in a complimentary way. I think it is just that Jongin adores Kyungsoo, and that's the only basis for this pairing. Imo, the reason why Kai adores him is bc he is so insecure, and so he latches onto Kyungsoo, needing this stable and mature hyung, but I don't think that Jongin sees Kyungsoo all that well from beyond that, he only sees Kyungsoo's calmness, but doesn't see other aspects of Kyungsoo's character (his playfulness, his drive that comes from his competitiveness) and I think that Kyungsoo feels that Jongin is placing too much weight on him, and kind of tries to diffuse that misplaced adoration. They honestly have this common for introvert+extrovert thing in which the extrovert views introvert's calmness as some kind of higher plane existence, and tries to make a guru out of a person who just likes some quiet.

Hunhan. Most older brother-younger brother dynamic ever. And not in a sexy way.

Chanbaek. First, I just find Baekhyun annoying, but second oh wow two beagles together, how is it sexy? Like these two are friends, regular schmegular friends with barely anything interesting going on for them (some friendships are interesting and have lots going on, but this is not the case)

Xiuhan. They're just cute (individually), they have no chemistry beyond that (except for the fact that they are mature, certainly more mature than they seem, but like, they are working, you can tell, it is two adults who were given an assignment to sell this pairing and they sell it, but like they're co-workers, who, hell, even respect each other bc they're surrounded by kids, but thats it for them irl), mb luhan is latching a but more, but I think that he is just friendly like that, he gets attached more easily.

So I think that in terms of popular ships, you get this idea that they are just manufactured, and they are shoved into fan base's throat, but in true they don't really work, these are not people who would be attracted to each other. I think that's the reason why so often they're just visual/most popular member+, like they are made in a lab, and it is a botched hurried job.

That being said there are some rpf pairings I like, and mb could write them sometime:

SuHan. But really, their relationship was captured so beautifully by curledupkitten in "Rust and Stardust" that I feel like there's nothing else to do here. They do have this slightly pedophilic angle to them, like you definitely get the sense that Junmyeon raised Sehun, and yet this only adds the guilt to the attraction, tensing everything.

SuChen. Kind person+kind person is undervalued sort of pairing imo. It is interesting and it is touching, and yet those two are different enough that its not like they're mirrors, or that there is no place for miscommunication or misunderstanding between them, its not like they would be able to read another, they both kind of can dismiss the care from another as like - well, he is kind, but irl u def get the sense that they look after each other, recognise the goodness in one another. Junmyeon who is responsible and anxious needs to have people in his care, and Jongdae is secure enough that he would allow this without guilt or shame, plus he is slightly reckless, so he does need someone to help him with the fine details in life. And Junmyeon definitely needs some laughter and fun in his life. Plus I think they're both deeper than they seem (a usual case with kind people), like Jongdae is that religious bc he looks out into the world, sees pain in it, and decided that he would then be very kind to everyone, it's not just the matter of his good-hearted nature, so I think that he'd be able to meet Junmyeon's angst.

Mino/Jinwoo from Winner. Honestly, they're IT for me in terms of rpf couples. They have imo most interesting dynamic ever. Like there is dangerous bad boy Mino who is so gentle with sensitive sensitive Jinwoo. And Jinwoo, who seemingly is so paralyzingly insecure has some bite to him, like he isn't above manipulation, and he knows exactly what his strength/weaknesses are and how to play them (like how he weaponizes his face card, how he stayed in YG for so long), so you get this sense that the reason why Jinwoo is so often protected by Mino, isnt just Mino extending his shield towards him, but rather that Jinwoo wants it that way, he wants Mino near him, he barely lets other Winner members protect him like that, immediately puts distance even tho, all his Winner mates are half in love with the beautiful hyung, and are all protective of him (less on Taehyun part, but that's bc they have the greatest age gap), Jinwoo isn't above playing this weaker character that needs protection. And also, how Mino, despite his persona, is such a goofy and kind person, but, let's be real, not that gullible at all not to see through Jinwoo's mask, but remaining willing to play along. And so they have this external almost heteronormative performance with them (Mino the tough protective man, Jinwoo the beautiful sensitive woman), but if u dig a bit deeper, then you sense how much Jinwoo is willing to put up a performance of him playing this feminine role all to calm Mino down - like hey, you're the man here, so its not gay right, I'm prettier than girls, don't you think it is natural then for you to think I'm pretty, and to protect me, and considering this manipulation, you realize that Jinwoo is less passive in this thing than you think, mb even less helpless, that in fact he might be more dangerous than Mino, but I think that this inverted power play might actually be arousing+interesting for Mino, bc Mino is all about power, and in true he might be interested not only in that performative play, but also is fascinated by the deeper, hidden power play he and Jinwoo play.

Chanyeol felt tears run down his cheeks. As he stared into the black reflection of the TV, he felt a surge of anger. He threw the remote he had been holding across the room, creating a dent in the wall. “I need to figure my life out. But I know that my future doesn’t include you. I need to focus on what’s important.” Baekhyun had said to him as he began gathering the few things he’d kept in Chanyeol’s dresser. 

“What do you need to figure out? We’re graduating this year and we both got accepted to Seoul University. Everything would be perfect; our lives, our stories, everything.” Chanyeol walked over to Baekhyun and took both of his hands, forcing Baekhyun to look up at the giant. 

Baekhyun was crying. How could he not? He loves this giant, stupid, sexy boy. That’s why he had to leave, so he could figure it all out and find out if he was wrong. 

Baekhyun moves close to Chanyeol, standing on his tip-toes and pressing his lips to Chanyeol’s. Chanyeol let go of Baekhyun’s hands to move them down to Baekhyun’s jean waistband. Baekhyun moves his hands up to Chanyeol’s face, cupping it and placing his fingers in the hairs on Chanyeol’s nape. A tear rolls down Baekhyun’s cheek as his lips move in a familiar way with Chanyeol’s. Chanyeol pulls Baekhyun even closer by his jean belt loops.

When Baekhyun pulls away, Chanyeol wipes his tears away with his thumb softly. Baekhyun reaches up and grasps his hand. “Don’t leave me. We both know you’re doing the wrong thing.” Chanyeol’s eyes begin to sting with hot tears. 

“I don’t know that for sure. I’m sorry. I love you. I really do. But you’re everything I am. I need to be my own person for once. When people see me, they only know me as ‘Chanyeol’s boyfriend.’ How is that fair to me? I want to be known as Baekhyun. I want to know people because I meet them, not because you know them. Please, I just need some time.”

“Fine. Just know that you’re making a mistake.” Chanyeol is infuriated, sad and scared. 

Baekhyun finally steps away from Chanyeol and releases his hands, which Chanyeol is hesitant to allow. He feels as if that is the last time he will ever hold Baekhyun again. They say nothing to each other as Baekhyun gets the rest of his belongings. Chanyeol stands up from the bed and slips his shoes on. “I love you.” he says softly before walking out the door and slamming it behind him. 

Baekhyun sobs as he grabs one of Chanyeol’s jackets and puts it into his back pack. Finally, he is out of the apartment and an empty feeling rises in his stomach. Wiping his tears, he walks away slowly, taking one last look at apartment number 65. 

Chanyeol can’t see or think straight. His mind is a mess, throbbing painfully against his skull. He know’s Baekhyun isn’t coming back. Once Baekhyun made up his mind about something, there was no talking him out of it. This revelation made Chanyeol cry harder. He laid against the headboard he’d taken Baekhyun against just hours ago. 

A picture of sweaty, writhing Baekhyun entered his mind and he tried to push the thought away. “It’s over.” he breathed. 

He looked at the clock and found himself shocked that it was already two in the morning. He shook his head and climbed under the covers, teary eyed, with his jeans and shoes still on.

Chanyeol was resting his head in his arms on his desk. His friends ignored him, knowing he would snap at them. They all knew there was no comforting him, but they didn’t bother keeping their voices down. “Can you believe it? Baekhyun cried and broke it off right after sex. Like who does that? If Luhan did that to me, I’d be worse than Chanyeol.” Xiumin, the oldest of all of them said. 

Chanyeol agreed with him. Who does that? His friends became extremely quiet. Chanyeol lifted his head to see Byun Baekhyun standing next to his desk. “Are you okay?” he asks Chanyeol. 

Chanyeol shook his head. The sight of Chanyeol made Baekhyun’s heart heavy. He felt tears begin to form, and quickly blinked them back. I’m doing the right thing he thought. Chanyeol looks like he’d been up all night, crying, yelling, and playing his drums out of frustration.

It was exactly what Chanyeol had been doing. He had too many nightmares so sleep was not an option. Usually, he would curl up against warm, fragile Baekhyun, who would then play with his hair and entangle their limbs together while Baekhyun kissed Chanyeol’s skin softly. 

“I’m sorry.” was all Baekhyun could manage to say without breaking out in sobs. 

Baekhyun had a similar night, tossing and turning for hours while crying. Their friends were watching the two with disapproval. They all knew this was not something that anyone would benefit from. 

It took everything Baekhyun had to not sit in Chanyeol’s lap, kiss him, and apologize chaotically. 

The bell rang and Baekhyun took his seat at his desk, next to Chanyeol’s. As the teacher began class, Chanyeol and Baekhyun were grateful to have something take their thoughts away from each other.

I am Alexio Sospranio and you’re listening to the kaisoo fic podcast. 

This episode is slightly different because we will be going through an SNS au that is posted on twitter. Now for those who are not aware, SNS basically means Social Networking Service. In this day and age where we are chronically on our phones on twitter with memes and reaction pics saved, what would a universe look like if our exo members were in a universe whose main point of communication is twitter? Unlike ao3 fics which are text based, SNS au’s content itself follows the format of… twitter basically. There are comments which a character can tweet, and its followers are able to respond as a quote or in the thread. Alongside with that are the twitter DMs and iMessage. Occasionally, as with life, not everything can be through Twitter or message, so usually to give more context or for physical human interactions with dialogue and narration, sns au authors will post screenshots of their notes or docs for it.

Now for the SNS au we will be looking at today is, bunny, or @/meokmooi double ‘o’ on Twitter.

In this SNS au, kaisoo are in an established relationship, happily married. One or two hiccups along the way but nothing that tips the boat over, or ship for that matter. 

Introducing a bit on the author: 

Bunny has been in this fandom since 2015, that's about 10 years. The pull factor that got her into this fandom was (baekhyun) when she saw a gif on him on tumblr throwing a bottle accidentally at his face LMAO) but became a minseok/luhan stan when she properly got into exo. Then the second time she saw exo was at the 2016 EXO'rdium concert. Bunny was in the standing area and kyungsoo was externally close to her 😭 and pretty much entered the concert as a minseok stan and left a kyungsoo stan. Bunny is currently into (exo, kaisoo, dogs).

I note you mostly write parents kaisoo or lactating Kyungsoo, and the ongoing one you’re doing now is no different, which is perfectly fine. But my question is what about kaisoo in real life inspired you to have this SNS au, if any?

First of all I’m astounded to be known as someone who mostly writes lactating kyungsoo 🤣🤣

Haha, of course! You have like 4 different aus with lactating Kyungsoo.

I think what inspired me about kaisoo was mostly how clingy and childlike Jongin is with Kyungsoo, and how Kyungsoo in turn tends to mother him a little. Kyungsoo is naturally domestic and cares for his members and everyone around him. Seeing the video of when kaisoo had a cooking competition and Kyungsoo won, his cheeky expression towards the latter made me laugh- they bicker like an old married couple. 

Indeed they bicker like an old married couple! Really love that cooking competition and it really sets butterflies in MY stomach… i can't imagine what it does to kaisoo in real life!

The premise of this fic started off with Kyungsoo complaining about how Haesoo looks like Jongin when it was him who carried their baby. And of how we slowly get an in on how there was this bitch who wanted to steal Jongin from Kyungsoo and that taps onto Kyungsoo’s insecurities, which, thank kaisoo, Jongin eased Kyungsoo’s worries and I quote: 

Kyungsoo sobs, his face flushed from embarrassment. "I'm not your petite little sweetheart anymore"

"I know you don't feel it, but to me, your postpartum body is my favourite. It's sexy as hell. I love your stomach because that's where our babies grew so healthy and safe."

This moment… this intimate moment where one had just barred his heart vulnerably to show his insecurities… and then the other consoling him… it just sets the bar up so high. Like in real life, i know of married men who would go on dating apps to fuck bitches just because their wives are too loose from giving birth to their child? Which is honestly the most messed up way of thinking. But with kaisoo in this au, true love in real life is not entirely lost…

I follow this account where she would post up fiction related posts like talking about fanfic tropes, relationship dynamics and ao3 tags. And in one of her posts, read this and i quote: There’s something profoundly comforting about reading stories where characters who are struggling are deeply loved by someone who isn’t scared of their flaws. Even if it’s fiction, it exists in someone’s mind, in their heart, which means it’s not impossible to find in real life.

As much as it sucks knowing that men in real life want to only fuck tight bitches, so sick, i have faith in love because Jongin here sets the standard… but thinking about it again, this, the act of consoling your partner and affirming their qualities, quite frankly should be the minimum a person does to show love to the other… damn… if i get married some day to a person belonging to the male species… if they are not like Jongin i want out, OUT i say. But that’s just me…

I feel like Jongin was literally written by a woman. I can’t fault anything bad about him   . I can’t fault anything bad about him (except his questionable taste in shoes) 

I don’t have any desire to marry and have kids because of many reasons, but if I ever did it would be someone like kaisoo 🥲 i haven’t dated since getting into exo because they have highered my standards too much 😂

Honestly, that’s perfectly understandable. Especially now in this day and age… phew getting married and having children will be a huge struggle. 

Bunny, do you write kaisoo here, more specifically Jongin, to be someone who really shows how loving someone should be? Do you see any reflection of your own life in this sns au you have written? Be it the plot or the characters? You don't need to go into intimate detail, maybe just a snippet of what inspired you in real life to write this fic.

I think I write him in a way I wish more men would be. I’ve had toxic relationships and part of my perspective with Jongin is my dream guy. I’ve not been with someone who is so loving like him, I’m probably delusional in hoping there is someone out there just like him though.

Aw that’s kinda sweet tho? You write Jongin as a projection of how you want your dream guy to be! Let’s manifest that! I hope you get someone like Jongin.

My next question is what was your favourite part of piecing up a story like in this kaisoo family sns au?

Yea! And i am aware you started off this SNS au in October last year, 2023 and initially wanted it to be just a one tweet post, I mean this in the best way possible, but how did it escalate for it to be still ongoing in March 2024?

The amount of retweets and comments it received made me want to add more and I guess it escalated from there 😅 Because I have ADHD it’s taken me a lot longer to complete it and to come up with new ideas.

The power of comments from readers really do send a spur of energy for writers and that should encourage readers to always drop love and comments down to fics.

And bunny i just want to say that the photos you pick out are insane… Like how it is that you manage to find Kyungsoo’s pale skin sucking on a pacifier, kaisoo’s height difference, baeksoo huddled together on the street. Like it’s just crazy similar!

So my question here is: How does your search bar look when you look for the memes or reaction pics or those romantic pics that really look like the exo members?

Lots and lots of research on twitter and pinterest. my close mutual @moondaes (mimi) and i send a lot of pics and videos of “kaisoo look alikes” to each other, 95% of the content is NSFW 😅 when i’ve been needed a specific picture, she’s someone who i can ask for help. 

for memes, mostly twitter, i have a whole album just for memes on my phone and pinterest 😂 

I’m also in a kaisoo cult gc with 30 members that share some of the most questionable and unhinged memes.

OuO interesting!!! Upon doing your research and collecting resources, what is the process of making an SNS au? 

Mostly collecting pictures of their kids and the couple into a folder on pinterest- if something comes up i'll add it to the folder to use for future tweets. I use the app TwiNote and Memi Message for the fake tweets and messages. I don’t really structure the posts or organise anything *damn you ADHD brain* I pretty much just go with it 😂

I had to check my notes- I’ve got a few ideas that have been abandoned because they are too NSFW for myself and twitter and I don’t want to get mass reported 😂 I also struggle with writing scenes, especially smut. that’s why i find making these twt aus easier, more fun and realistic! 

After this au I will be making the prequel, so we will be able to see how the kaisoo in my current au all started! From meeting, first kiss, first everything. Moving in together, getting married, expecting their first child. But not without a lot of ups and downs - stay tuned!

i couldn’t not see it, it was all over weibo 😂 i personally don’t like the casting because MOST OF THEM ARE LITERALLY IDOLS (r1se and qcyn) & have no acting experience? and they’re so young… idk if they can pull it off; visually, i don’t see hualian as a fit either 😭 shi qingxuan’s actor is the best if anything // i wished the actors were older and had some experience because i want to live action to somewhat live up to one of the more popular danmei novels in china; i hope they end up pulling it off tho, but my first impression still remains unsatisfied
