Older music video but make it 5SOS/Lashton/gay (this sat in my drafts, so it’s before the full video was released)

OK, LETS GO SHALL WE?

Let’s have some Lashie fun about the “Older” mv teaser… I think this might be about how you choose to live the last moments of your life? There’s also some Lashton/5SOS connections that can be made.

First, there’s the geriatric couple who is dancing and so in love together (setting up the whole meaning of long term relationship love). HUGS

Then, there’s the couple kissing on the car. There’s been an ongoing theme of cars in 5sos music videos. Motion (Luke sitting in car alone), Starting Line (jumping over cars and singing to person in car), Lie to Me (sitting in car alone)(LTM which also involved Ash wearing prominent red shirt), Bad Omens (most of mv, the actors are in car, red flags in the air and covering them).

Then, next there’s a group of friends huddling together (part of love is friendship, so this represents 5sos and how Lashton started and part of what keeps them together)

Then there’s the person painting while wearing a red top. (Ashton is known for having a passion for painting).

Michael is playing a red guitar by himself (Luke was playing a red guitar throughout all of TMH tour, Ashton was photographed and made a video with it as well.)

Not sure what the dude wearing the red bow tie and the man and woman behind him could mean. (Maybe the presence of their parents? Idk???)

Luke, Cal, Ash in the field together but only Luke is in full color at piano wearing a red tie. Cal and Ash are faded.

Ashton is at a set of drums wearing a red flower and written on the bass drum is “The End?” (My speculative brain knowing Ash, this could be Lierra shade?? So far she’s nowhere to be found in mv, nor have they had her part of singing. Wondering if the mv will be when the partner has already passed away, which fits the the story. This means her voice could just be there and she’s nowhere to be found.)

Two people sharing popcorn in a car, movie date? (Luke spoke about how he and Ash sit in the car together to listen to their songs. He said he likes doing that. So I’m sure other things like having snack or whatever happen).

Next there’s an interracial gay couple, I, first want to acknowledge, how beautiful it is they’re showing inclusion. But also, the gay/lgbt connection with Ash and Luke.

Next there’s a woman wearing a red top putting on a vinyl record. (Ash LOVES listening to vinyl and has many posts of them. Including a snarky post on the day of the Super Bowl. haha love it)

Then the woman is shown dancing to it. (Ash and Luke dancing connection).

Picnic. In 2021, Luke and Ash actually spent their combined birthday celebration as a subdued picnic situation due to the pandemic. They tend to celebrate their birthdays together every year since they are both July babies.

I personally think it's shade towards Sierra

A lot of people are confused about Ashton’s instagram story with these two pictures one after the other. Firstly, it can be a reference to empty wallets, but since he posted it right after the “Lierra” almost kiss picture, the theory I have is “burn a dollar and know your friends, take the red pill and know the truth” basically, it’s Ash throwing shade at a PR relationship between Sierra & Luke. Ash suddenly became a little distant with Luke right after his bday and mostly because Luke has been hanging out with sierra. … This subtle shade basically means that Sierra is only in it for fame and fortune by hanging out with the boys, and more specifically the "golden boy". Also, the pill is for the truth, and by that, means the relationship is all a gimick. Why do you think even Sierra posted "Instagram vs Reality" because the "Lierra almost kiss" pic is a front and fake, while in reality, they're probably either friends or just plain business partners. Now this happens frequently in the sense that when Luke starts “dating” someone. Ash automatically becomes silent and distant. The reason why is because of PR. Management does not want a relationship blooming between Lashton and when they feel that it is, which it has over the past few months, they bring in a girl for Lukey boy. And then Ash becomes extremely shady with his insta stories… Now this is a theory, but I feel like it’s completely spot on.

Do you think the Lierra photo is a shade or did sierra D just did recreate the photo that Arzaylea for luke? bc i look closely that Sierra and Arzaylea wore same black outfits, Sierra's eyelashes, her hair and she knows that Luke like nose to nose on someone .

Sierra is on a serious high since being publicaly associated with Luke. Like, she is a down to earth person, but she’s trying so hard to be the new arz and she just isn’t. Like, she is naturally sweet but she’s trying to make everything sexy and look badass... it’s so unauthentic. Like I wouldn’t be shook if she did copy the pic. I like the real Sierra, not the new one she’s trying to create

5SOS “Older” promo observations

September 7, 2022 - Today the new 5SOS song “Older” drops, Ashton reposts only the promo videos with Luke and doesn’t include any tags. This morning he also posts a Peter Gabriel song “Sledgehammer” (which albeit an iconic song with great musicality) which is about sex and the lyrics are loaded with phallic symbols. The title of the song and various other references throughout it are a euphemism to the male genitalia.

Luke’s posts regarding “Older”. Posts clips of acoustic Luke only performing the song. Only reposts the videos (which don’t include her voice anywhere) and doesn’t tag her anywhere.

Compared to Michael, who has pushed the stunts numerous times and has brought up the stunts even when not asked about during interviews, includes S in his tags. Luke, Ash, or Cal don’t tag her in anything. The videos are of Luke singing acoustically by himself, which is so pretty on its own merit, and full on I wish that was the version we got on the album. S’s voice just wasn’t necessary, imo. The boys Like Sierra’s ig post but none of them put it to their own ig stories. There’s so much shade in this song drop!

Crystal (Michael’s supposed wife) is the reason Sierra was brought into the picture. Crystal’s profession is PR. She is the one who setup Luke with Sierra, Ashton with Kaykay (also applies with Marg, no longer narratively together yet she still stays friends with Ash’s work friends, this is weird because typically when you breakup with someone they don’t stay in your friend connections, which supports those whole “relationships” were a PR/bearding stunts contracts. They seem to stay connected with the other women because it’s all business, albeit toxic business.).

Then Sierra on HER OWN IG ACCT makes a post trying to convince us that this is her choosing to “stay behind the scenes” and letting the fans use a story about how Michael told them to finish a song that she and Luke had started on a voice note of Luke’s (which Luke had shared as a joke *hint hint* meaning he didn’t feel much of an emotional connection attachment to it) Luke shared it as a joke and now she’s narratively putting it across as a very meaningful Lierra love song. HONEY. Stop trying to make fetch happen 😂

She’s saying she stopped pursuing an artist career (doesn’t discount the amount she has used Luke’s career as solo and with 5sos for a paycheck and PR for herself), yet since she was put together with Luke, she has written and/or appeared on EVERY RECORD LUKE IS ON INCLUDING HIS SOLO. The engagement was announced at the same time his solo record was announced (even though supposedly it had happened months before. Why wait? Oh yes…. The PR for herself! Use the attention for his projects to gain attention to yourself.)

S making this type of statement for this song sounds so disingenuous. She’s insisting she wants to stay Behind The Scenes yet she’s one of the songwriters and her airy vocals are mixed so high in the track that hers pretty much overshadow Luke’s. The title of the song is “Older (featuring Sierra Deaton)”. If you want to stay bts, this doesn’t look like how you would do it. This is such irony. And again, her narrative of the song uses the PR relationship for attention.

There’s a new 5sos TikTok video for Older which has a still of Ashton and a zooming fast clip show of 5sos throughout the years.

It’s very heavy on showing Luke and even pauses on him a few times, and the track ONLY has Luke’s vocals.

Lashton for the win.

Or at the very least it’s lots of continued shade on Lierra (or of her even being on the track).

Truthfully, I think this song was either actually only meant to be only 5sos or it was something that she used to put her fingers onto yet another one of their projects and they’re trying to minimize how much they actually include her 😂

Are they still together?

Signs point to YES. We’ve got rings. Luke putting Love Wins in his music video. Ash still posting so much Luke. Ash is Luke’s number one fan ALL THROUGHOUT Luke’s solo album release. Ash shading the Lierra “engagement” as the loyal boyfriend. Luke’s solo album was released with Sony Australia and Arista records, a subsidiary label of Sony, and Sony is known for using artists personal lives to promote projects. There’s so much. Just a few examples.

What do you think about Louisluke account on Youtube? This person exposes Lierra und PR stuff. Do you give a lot of credit to this kind of channel? No shade, just really wanna hear another point of view about it

I’ve checked out this account on Youtube and IG.  While I agree with her overall premise that Lemon are NOT dating and I agree with a lot of the discrepancies she points out, I don’t think her reasoning/evidence is entirely solid on all of them.  Does that make sense?  We all know Lemon is PR bullshit but she doesn’t have strong enough “arguments” to convince all of the Lemon shippers out there.

While this could be her trying to shade Alex because he’s more successful and has mentioned working on new solo music... This could also be a sign of end of days. Coupled with trish deleting all Lierra photos could signal something but it could also be nothing so I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up. I would also like to say if she plans to paint Luke as a cheater and drag his name like the mods have suggested from the beginning, I will not be surprised but I will be disgusted.

The last twitter interaction she had with Luke was on the 8th but with all the recent speculations of Lierra coming to an end, I wouldn’t be shocked if she started with the shading. Yet again, if she’s liking shady tweets about her ex, it’s pathetic since they broke up a long time ago and she’s supposedly supposed to be in a “loving” relationship so why like those tweets now if you’re in a good place?

Yeah the part about Alex is exactly what Piper said when I mentioned it could be about Alex. I’m not saying that it is but we can’t rule it out as a possibility if that makes sense. Honestly there’s so many theories to the end. It could be that they were always planning a cheating spin to make Sierra look like the victim and perhaps release music about Luke. Which would of course interest the fandom re: You Really Suck. Or if there had always been an agreed upon end date and Sierra is playing the victim card all on her own to make sure she comes out squeaky clean.

Is there examples of the other guys shading crystal that you can show? I'm not doubting you guys at all I'm just curious as I've only seen them do it to sierra

We don't really compile evidence about Crystal honestly, we just leave the askbox open to commentary and opinions about her, because there's so much overlap between Mystal and Lierra (the same reason why we still occasionally reference Arzaylea). There aren't many active accounts that still expose Mystal, not any that I still follow and that are public, anyway. So I'm not too helpful in that regard. The only Mystal exposing account I still follow these days on IG is crystalleighhurtme and while I've never spoken to her personally, she seems sweet and she probably has more receipts than we do, so maybe you could check out her account or send her a DM to see? She's really the only one that I could recommend because I don't know of any others that are still active or public.

But there's at least one instance that I can recall off of the top of my head, and that's when the whole Mystal engagement happened. I don't remember the details too well, but sometime shortly after, there was some "joke" made (possibly by Crystal herself? I can't recall tbh) about Ashton participating in the wedding, and he responded on Twitter with a super stern "no I'm not" kind of response. Not exact wording of course, but it was a blatant shading and show of dislike.

What do you think about the lyrics of Alex’s new song, “Don’t Be A Dick, Ted”? I also found it interesting how he liked a tweet about the line regarding not being cool to steal someone’s girlfriend or something, which was a response to another tweet about the songs being inspired by Sierra. All in all, I think it’s an absolute banger, just also humoured by how it simultaneously shades and warns Luke.

I don’t know that it shades Luke. Alex and Sierra had been broken up for a long time before Lierra was ever official. Tbh it’s one of my fave songs off the EP though they are all pretty great. He likes a lot of tweets in regard to his EP, I know this cause I’ve had him like tweets on two different accounts. Since he’s not got a 5sos scale following I think it’s easier for him to see tweets and reply. He also likes and replies to fans in his comment section on Instagram.

While I do think there’s shade to Sierra throughout Party of One, I think it’s subtle and I like that. If anything I think “don’t be addicted to yourself” would be directed at Sierra more than anything. Overall I like how Alex interacts with his fans, but also doesn’t stoop to Sierra’s level. Like if he’s asked about her he doesn’t throw shade he doesn’t say anything mean he just talks about how lucky they were to have the experiences they did. He has my respect not only as an artist but as a person.

If I’m being honest, I don’t think Lierra is PR. Sierra has been close with the band for quite some time now, way before Luke and her got together. She seemed especially close with Ashton, considering the Instagram posts & such. Regarding Ash’s Instagram comments, he was the one who took Luke in when he couldn’t stand to be alone after his last relationship. It makes complete sense for him to be so outwardly happy that he’s found someone genuine after an experience like that.

For sure, I 100% agree with you in the sense that Ashton is just really glad to see Luke happy again since what he had gone through in his rough patches. And for sure, Sierra has been friends with 5sos for a long time but the connection in beginning of 2018 was cut off for about 5 months, especially with her and Ashton... I feel like whatever happened, brings a lot of awkwardness whenever she is around them, and I've noticed Luke & Ash throw soo much shade. Now, it might not be directed to her, I can never prove that, but ever since she came back into their lives, the shade game has been going on constantly, especially coming from Ashton and Luke. There's just something going on behind the scenes that we all don't know much about. It might not be PR, but it sure isn't the perfect relationship everyone is claiming it to be.
