I thought I hated Eteri & co before, but that’s nothing compared to today! First they forced a minor to take illegal drugs, and when found out, they left the child alone to face the journalists! Look at these pictures! A 15 year old! Forced to hide her face, desperately clinging to a plushie! And not a single adult anywhere! Just anyone, any-fucking-one, just to put a comforting hand on her shoulder!
I’d be the first to say, Kami didn’t deserve most of the scores and medals she got - way too overscored, though potentially talented. She has been annoying me by being promoted as “the next Olympics winner” for the past 3-4 years. I kept thinking “has it all been decided years before the competition even took place?!” and disliked her even more. Not her fault, her coaches fault, RusFed fault, PR fault. But there you go.
BUT! Like Kamila or dislike her, it doesn’t change the fact that she’s a child, who has been physically abused, given suspicious substances and then left alone to face the vultures!
I’m horrified. I saw these photos an hour ago, started crying and I’m still unable to stop. I can’t even imagine what the poor girl is feeling now. Devastating! Shame on every adult who left this child alone!

how is Anna going to survive the free with multiple quads when a basic sp left her gasping for air for a full minute? is eteri trying to kill her? why are her parents letting this happen? this is so very scary she’s still so young what if her lungs end up with permanent damage?

I am on board with writing an open letter to ISU in the scenario that such a case occurs and please heart this post if you are too.
This is appalling and is the epitome of false information. That RusFed officer needs to be banned from judging because this is literally a danger to the sport of figure skating. Whoever hearted her comment can leave too.

please please please raise the minimum age. these girls are being used and discarded, one after the other. people cheer them on when they win, but they're actually just cheering on the ghosts of these empty children who have been starved and abused for years. rusfed, eteri, and the isu are being cheered on for such behavior. there is no argument that can justify the destruction of these girls. the cameras and the media are absolutely sick-minded for focusing on Kamila and Sasha's breakdowns. and the entire world knows that in two years, maybe even one, no one will remember these girls, for there will just be a new batch of talented young skaters to pick from. how has this become the legacy of women's figure skating? these talented young girls have been stripped of their love for the sport.
for those who are shaming Kamila and Sasha for their reactions, check yourself and ask yourself, "how much is a little girl worth?" because from what we've seen just these past two weeks, they're worth nothing. and that's how horrifically messed up the system is. at this point, I don't worry about who's going to place on the podium, but about the well-being of these girls.
and while I pray for them as much as I can and rant to strangers on the internet, this is what figure skating has become.

I’m back with another rant because I fucking hate this world!
The Kamila verdict timing is genuinely insane. They’re just all insane. It makes me think they timed it then because they know they’ve been cleared and now they can have their whole repulsive propaganda, fake ass “in your face” moment and the possibility of that makes me sick. (I admit I don’t know that much about the entire world of figure skating so I don’t know what actually went into the timing decision. I hope it was just how it panned out but that’d be too easy right?)
I’ve said it ever since the Olympics but I’ll say it again, I have never seen such a disgusting, public, shameless display of abuse on a teenage girl in my life. They’re waving her around like a political pawn, a russian hero and a symbol of “russian strength” but there is no strength, no honor, no glory in abusing a child. All that the world has seen from their organization is weakness and malice. They have no shame, no conscience and at the center of it is a girl who just wanted to skate. Now, she’s been brainwashed and abused and will never just be able to skate as an individual human being. They make their students machines, robots & hide them from the truth for their selfish gain. They are a disgrace.
It’s hard for me to decide whether I think Kamila herself should be banned. On one hand, the wrong was done, end of story and she needs to learn that you get punished for doing wrong or being a part of wrongdoings. That you need to be conscientious of the world (people) around you and most importantly, she needs to learn that the adults in her life wronged her. Not the media, not the “evil west”, it was her coaches, her state run media, probably even her parents. But even at this I think a ban on her should be short. On the other hand though, she was 15, raised in the four walls of a skating rink with 3 coaches telling her lies, controlling her, abusing her, brainwashing her. What else are you gonna know if all you’ve ever known is the fake little world that’s been built within Sambo70′s walls. This distorted reality they create to keep their students needing them. And at the end of the day, even though I do think 15 year old’s in normal settings have a sense of right and wrong, 15 is still too young to be blamed for this, 15 is still impressionable and 15 is still an age where you’re going to be influenced, especially by the adults in your life who are like parental figures for you. Whether she knew about it and was okay with taking the drugs is irrelevant considering her age, at the center of this are adults who should’ve never let it happen in the first place and they are the only ones to blame.
I’m very nervous for this verdict because as we’ve seen time and time again, in and out of sports, in every country on this planet, justice is rarely, if ever served. Especially when it comes to women and girls and I’m sick of it. If they all get away with this it’s not only another blow to justice but a win for an abusive regime that will take their ego to an even higher, more disturbing place that I just can’t stomach. It’s just so morally wrong and I genuinely think, if Eteri, Daniil, rusfed etc. get away with this, it will be the end of figure skating as we know it. They will never gain the rest of the world’s respect back no matter the verdict, but at least if they are found guilty, fans of the sport could trust that the powers that be will not stand for abusers. If they let them get away with this, the sport falls and I hope there is an uproar from skaters/coaches from other countries.
Overall, my anger is not and has never been with Kamila. She is the victim here. & despite all my anger, there is a bigger sadness watching this unfold, not only for her but for every one of those girls. The reason so many of us are passionate about this case is because probably 90% of us have experienced our own personal versions of injustice and therefore, when we see it, it hits home. I feel pretty indifferent towards Kamila getting banned just as long as her coaches and the entire Tutberidze team/Sambo70 Skating Club get banned for life and goes down in complete, humiliating disgrace.

These children are having emotional breakdowns live because every adult has failed them!! From being abused and manipulated by their coach's (who are being enable by their parents & Rusfed), to the ISU ignoring the problem and the paparazzi following them and forcing them to deal with their emotions publicly.
Shame on all of them!!!

The Flutzels podcast is defending Diana Davis saying she’s getting too much hate online for being her daughter’s mother and that sure, nepotism may be a factor in her rise but ice dance scoring is ridiculous this season anyway and that her placement in competitions is close to where they’d have her anyway, maybe off by a place or two 👀 and that they, the podcasters are daughters of a teacher and know what it is to have people be upset with them because of their mother. For me, that’s a ludicrous defense, since a place or two changes podium placements and who’s potentially getting sent to the Olympics. They also said that feds are amoral (not immoral but amoral) and will do what gets them the best result, so since Diana is getting good scores internationally why wouldn’t they send her. I don’t understand int’l judging enough to know this, but international judging isn’t happening in a vacuum uninfluenced by the feds is it? I’m just surprised they’re shrugging off the nepotism. “A place or two” matters a whole lot to the team or two who were displaced by them
I'm going to trade carefully here because pissing off the ignorant and hypocritical parts of fs twitter was enough for one week I'd say LOL.
The way I see it, there are a few issues that I personably have with what they are saying:
Diana is for sure getting more hate than necessary on social media, the rise of nepotism #2 is shameful and underserved but she is 18 and a lot of the hate she's getting stems from her mother being a horrible human (from what we know). Her results are underserved but blaming her for it and hating her personally for it is also not the right way to handle the situation.
"off by a place or two" is a statement that is worthless. It wasn't just about the placement, it was also about the scoring. It we'll go with this statement and place them behind even just 0.01 points behind nepotism #1, it means that their score will drop 11.06 points. So are we really going to pretend that it's just a problem of placement? come on.
Also, one single place lower would change who goes to the Olympics? It's really not something to shrug about.
This is the egg and the chicken story all over again - what came first? Eteri and the RusFed pushing hard for them so they were getting insane international scores or the international judges just waking up one day and deciding that D/S are a top-level team who deserve scores of top 10 in the world. let's not kid ourselves here, there's a huge push for D/S that is troubling because it shows the reach Eteri (and by proxy now Igor) has on international judges.
The Fed will do whatever brings them the best results, that doesn't mean they don't work very hard to create the results they want.
This is seen as such a big issue that the Russian dance world itself had a huge reaction to it. From the comments of Skoptcova's mother, to Skoptcova herself (looking shaky, crying at the end of her skate looking upset, then posting a pic of her crying stating that "it wouldn't hurt if she didn't love the sport so much), to Khuda/Bazin's comments, to Annable's Morozov's face in the k&c, to team Zhuk and Morozov merging to form a political alliance, to Z/G competing in a desperate state, to the crowd legit booing the scores of Z/G compared to D/S. Everyone is seeing what's happening here (hell even Jackie Wong publicly called their placement).
And honestly? I feel for them if they endured hardship because of their perceived nepotism. But you know who has it harder in life? people with no nepotism or connections...

Skate Canada short program rant because I missed three events, thank you time zones
MEN:
tbh I have seen only three programs: Keiji’s, Jason’s, and Nathan’s.
Keiji is a legend. How do you even decide to skate to Evangelion - legendary. Even if the jumps didn’t work out properly last night, this will probably end up being one of the most entertaining programs this season.
Jason’s Sinnerman is a separate piece of art and it belongs in a museum or something. The entire program is stunning and amazing and brilliant, not sure that I have a proper word to describe how good the performance was. (Love his coaching team’s reactions too!)
A cleanish Nemesis?! Ngl he should have either brought back the original Nemesis or got an entirely new sp because this “improved” version is a major regression comapred to 2017-18. When it comes to his jumps they seemed a bit “sticky” like he’d stop for a milisecond on the blade and then continue on, very little flow out of the jumps in other words. Also his PCS should not be 46 but 36, but at the bar is so low that I am happy he didn’t score higher than Jason.
DANCE:
Lajoie/Lagha understood the assignment. That program was super fun!
Fear/Gibson also have a cool rd. Honestly, my fave thing about it are their costumes (especially Lilah’s). Shame about the twizzles.
Just like last week, Olivia and Adrian had my fave performance. However, this time it was really close call with Charlene and Marco’s program.
Well, Piper and Paul certainly stood out... Not sure I dig this rd but it could just be the costumes. Certainly liked the second part much better. I hope it grows on me because I want to like it but for now I am neutral.
LADIES:
First of all, love to see Mai Mihara back in international competition. Second of all, glorious program. Honestly great job, I got chills.
Oh, Wakaba that was just so wonderful. Such a graceful program, she gives meaning to every single movement. I want her to podium so bad! She can do it. I am manifesting.
Go Kamila’s sp give us nothing. In Memoriam is just the copy, slightly watered down and adjusted, version of Storm. Her edge change in the combo will be my villain origin story. Who will inform the techincal panel that edge chenge between the jumps in combination actually means two separate jumps... Also where did the judges find her PCS (in RusFed’s or Eteri’s money idk). How is she over 10 points above Alysa? Where? (The tiniest problem but still worth mentioning - her ugly dress that looks like salmon meat).
Alysa grew so much as a skater since the last time I saw her skate in March 2020? (Junior Worlds). She brought so much energy to that performance and tbh she should be in the top 3. After the free skate tonight, I hope we somehow get her on the podium too, I don’t care which Russian we have to sacrifice (preferably the podium will be Wakaba, Alysa, and Alena but we all know this is a fruitless dream).
I like this new sp better for Alena, but it does feel like a new program. I don’t have many thoughts on it yet; generally, I do see potential.
Karen is a breath of fresh air as always. Shame that the program wasn’t clean. Wishing her all the best later tonight.

Russian Nationals: Ladies
Argh. The most stressful competition of the season really was very stressful. There was some triumphs and some disappointments but overall, the Russian ladies again proved that the Russian lady field is insanely deep. Also, while the 3A were very overscored, I would say everybody else’s score was tolerable, and some were even underscored. Please stop trying to push forward the idea that at RusNats all skaters are overscored and that level 4s, 9s in PCS and +5 GOEs are handed out like candy, that’s completely untrue.
1. Anna Shcherbakova
Wow!!!! Anna’s jumps really were the best they’ve ever been. Her quads had attack, speed and power, and her triples were completed with wonderful quality. Her lutz edge is getting increasingly worrying, but on the other hand, her 4Lz might be the most consistent quad in Russian ladies or men! A lot of people said her short was the best she’s ever performed it but I have to disagree. The beginning was just wonderful, elegant, yet eerie in the best possible way. The spins were on point and her 3Lz+3Lo combo might be the best one I’ve seen from her ever, but the step sequence was very off. Perhaps the choreography was changed, but the positions that were supposed to be on musical accents (like the one where she jumps and then pushes her hands forward) were before the music. It looked like Anya didn’t expect it either, since she held the aforementioned position a lot longer than she usually does. I’ve rambled about how nothing is on musical accents in Anya’s free so I’ll avoid that topic today. Her first 4Lz+3T combination was truly magical. Definitely the best one I’ve seen her do. The 4Lz just flew! I thought the second 4Lz was borderline UR, but the 4F is looking pretty good. She’ll definitely get it in time for Euros or Worlds. The score... yeah. Um, I would’ve given her performance 170-172 max. I love Anya to death, but in the performance aspect I know she can do better. The jumps were very impressive though.
2. Alena Kostornaia
Just WOWWWWWW. Her triple axels are just a thing of beauty. They fly across the ice, and cover HUGE distance. They’ve really gotten insanely better from Finlandia and it’s only been two months! Her short was a masterpiece and while I would’ve given it 86-87 points, I honestly don’t even mind the fact she got almost 90. She’s that good. Not only do her triple axels fly, her 3F+3T combination covers literally half of the rink. And it gets so much height! Alyona’s jumps do not only have height, distance and a slight delay of rotation, they are always fully rotated. I did not see a single jump that was even questionable in the sense of URs. The SP was a delight, and the FS was so entertaining! The 2A and 3F+3T were very shaky, and she should’ve gotten lower GOEs for those two elements but the rest of the program was glorious. As cheesy as the FS is, it’s really grown on me! Alyona performs it so well! I feel like she was also kind of overscored here, but the FS score was at least within reason. I’ve heard she’s going for 4S, and I really hope she can get it clean and landed soon.
3. Alexandra Trusova
Today was not her day but you know what? It’s okay! Everyone has off days, even queens like Sasha. She had clean practices so I know she’s 100% capable of performing clean and I know she will work hard to get a clean four quad program by Worlds. She has such amazing potential and even if the first three quads didn’t work, the 4T+1Eu+3S was a thing of absolute beauty. The height! The distance! The flow! The extension on the 4T! She’s still the quad queen no doubt! Also the 3Lz+3Lo was beautiful! Sasha’s been struggling on that jump for quite a while, but I still think her 3Lz+3Lo is the best one there’s ever been. There’s ease, effortlessness, flow, height, distance and the rippon on the lutz is sublime. Her performance wasn’t really there today too, but her step sequence in the SP showed improvement from the GP stages. Speaking of the SP, I love how Sasha didn’t let the dress bother her and she did the best 3Lz+3T I’ve seen her do despite the black dress getting suck. I’m glad she didn’t go for 3A, but I know she’ll get the 3A once and for all soon. With Sasha’s work ethic and her sportsmanship she’ll bounce back in no time. I love how everyone is saying Sasha is done for when she landed the best quad of the night (no hate to Anya, but like, technique is an objective thing).
4. Elizaveta Tuktamysheva
The SP was really good, but the FS... what happened? I feel like Liza is getting better artistically. She moves faster, with more poise and her step sequence is actually really good. I’m glad she’s taking risks with the 4T, since her 4T is really just textbook, and it’s a shame it didn’t work here. Despite the 3A not working here either, I’m glad Liza pulled through and performed some wonderful combinations in the back half. I really respect Liza though, she clearly loves figure skating and she’s working hard to catch up. Her quads are textbook, and her 3As are effortless. When people started to say her 3A had too longer of a setup she decided to add difficult transitions in. When people noticed her flip edge getting to be flat, she worked hard on getting it back inside. Today wasn’t a good day for Liza, but a fourth place finish at RusNats is very good nonetheless.
5. Kseniia Sinitsyna
OH YES!!! Redemption skate!!!!! Even with the hard fall on her 3Lz in the SP, her performance as still stunning and her step sequence was just sublime. I used to dislike this program since it was almost too creative for me, but with Kseniia’s wonderful interpretation I’ve really come to appreciate her SP and now it’s one of my favorites. Kseniia has all the goods, good SS, good musicality and artistry, good spins, and good jumps. I believe that she can achieve great things! The FS was just amazing. Everything was landed, and landed with great quality and confidence. The step sequence was delivered patiently, but that’s good. A common mistake juniors make is they rush, but not Kseniia. She follows the music and the rhythm and never rushes. Her spins... literal perfection. Especially the layback... like how can it be so fast, yet so centered and so flexible? GIVE HER TWO GP ASSIGNMENTS RUSFED!
6. Anna Frolova
Wow!!!!! While I liked Anna at her JGP assignments, I often crossed her out as a big competitor since she was always so inconsistent... but NOT TODAY! Two clean programs! I really like her SP, but I don’t know how to feel about her costume change. I feel like her old costume (the one for her FS now) fits the music more. Anna’s SP requires, elegance, patience and poise, and Anna delivers all three in her delicate performance. I really love the music, especially in the step sequence. Her jumps are textbook (minus the shaky lutz edge) and her landings are beautiful. Her FS is borderline boring honestly, and I hope she gets some better choreo next season since she has so much potential. With two great skates here, I hope RusFed gives her at least one GP. Also, did she change coaches to Davydov?
7. Anastasia Guliakova
Anastasia is really out here trying to seal Alina’s title of Most Used Warhorses in one season. But honestly I don’t mind since her interpretation of Carmen is rather good, and I love the music to Swan Lake. Anastasia’s SP was quite a nice surprise for me, since I didn’t really like her programs prior. She had a very different approach to Carmen in comparison to Alina, and her’s had much more power and attack. My favorite moment in her SP has to be the beautiful 3Lz with the spread eagle exit out right on the music! What can I tell you? I’m a sucker for movements on musical accents! Her FS was less surprising, but her jumps were quite good today! She pulled herself through the entire program! I’m glad that even though she entered as second alternate she gave performances worthy of GP assignments!
9. Sofia Samodurova
Argh. Sonya is as charming and wonderful as she was last season, but I guess she’s been demoted. The judging panel really went all out on her URs and PCS. Her performances are still enjoyable and full of charisma, but I do feel like she was a little hesitant in her SP. The step sequence didn’t have quite as much energy as it should have had.
10. Anastasiia Gubanova
Whoever choreographed Nastya’s programs this season clearly either hates Nastya or has no idea about how artistic Nastya is. When you have someone who is as passionate and emotional on ice as Nastya, you can’t give her such boring music and choreography. The SP is pretty good, and Nastya is able to perform it well enough for me to like it, but the FS is just.... I can see Nastya trying her best to make it work, but the music is so boring and monotone that it’s impossible. Her jumps are still kind of scary at takeoff, and the UR issues seem to be getting worse. I hope Turenko works on the URs and gets a better choreographer, but Nastya is one of the most artistic skaters ever, and we need to see her showcase that ability.
12. Serafima Sakhanovich
I really like her programs this season. There’s nothing too flashy, but they are classy and elegant and Sima performs them well. I don’t know how I missed this before, but Sima’s flying camel spin is SO GOOD! +5s across the board for me! It’s fast, but also crazy centered and the positions are really pleasing. Really, it’s CRAZY fast. Shame about the jumps. You all know I love elements on musical accents so it’s no wonder I love Sima’s Ina Bauer to death. Argh! So beautiful!
13. Stanislava Konstantinova
The SP was really great. The Stasya that could hold her own against Liza, Zhenya etc. was back. I have to say, Stasya has wonderful artistry. She skates with maturity, elegance and poise. She can hold some really wonderful lines since she’s so tall, and she’s quite expressive as well. There were small problems in her SP, but as a whole, it was pretty good. This SP is definitely her best SP so far. The music is beautiful, the choreography is very good, and the costume is stunning, and when Stasya performs it well, it’s truly a delight. The FS... it’s also a pretty good program, but when will Stasya perform it well? But hey, at least she skated a good SP, that’s the second time this season!
14. Elizaveta Nugumanova
I love Liza’s SP! So much! She has so much charisma and personality, and it’s all expressed perfectly in her SP. If she could get the jumps rotated she would just be unstoppable. Her spins are so underrated too, they’re fast, centered and flexible. I love the step sequence so much, mostly because there are so many elements on musical accents, and also because Liza performs with such joy and charm. Like how can you not love it? Strangely enough, even though Nutcracker Pas de Deux is one of my favorite pieces of music of all time, I don’t really like Liza’s FS. She performs great, and her good posture and almost balletic skating style is beautiful, but the fact that the choreographer doesn’t utilize the many musical accents in the back half of the program pains me. Liza is so flexible and can easily hold a beautiful spiral to a crescendo in the music, and yet she only does one second spirals that have no correlation to the music. Why?
WD. Evgenia Medvedeva
Despite boot problems, Zhenya still skated a wonderful SP that really showed how strong she was. Her SP is really a thing of beauty, both in terms of choreography and in terms of how Zhenya performs it. The combination was definitely UR, but everything was else was great! Especially the step sequence! Zhenya is really one of the most artistic skaters out there. While I’m sad she withdrew it was a good thing to do. Better withdrawing than risking injury right?

Wishlist for Russian and Japanese Nationals
Is it wrong if I say more drama in the Russian fs? ‘cause at this point I’ve stopped caring and I’m just enjoying eating popcorn and watching that clusterfuck. It’s more entertaining than competition at this point.
I want Kaori to win so badly, especially since she did not make it to GPF (damn IdF ice!), but Rika will probably be the National champ this year. If she’s clean, I can’t see anyone able to beat her.
Dream podium would be Kaori-Rika-Wakaba
For Wakaba to skate two clean performances, and just be able to deliver the content we know she’s capable of
I want Mana Kawabe to do well. Excited to see if she’ll go for the 3A
For Mako, Yuna and Marin to have a good competition
Above all I want Yuzuru to stay healthy. No injury please. Otherwise I’m less invested in the men event. Excited to see Daisuke competing. Hoping Shoma will have good skates, cause he really needs it rn. Fingers crossed my two faves, Kazuki and Koshiro will do well, and maybe clinch the bronze.
For RusNats, oh my, where to begin
I desperately want Zhenya to podium but I have already made my peace with the fact that it’ll be extremely unlikely so here’s to hoping she’ll be 4th
For Ksenia Sinitsyna to make the top 6, and for Sofya Samodurova to stay in the top 10 (quite pessimistic about her chances, we’ll see).
On one hand, I want Kostornaia to win this, but on the other hand I want to see Trusova land all her quads, and just skate clean (because that amount of falls is not good for my heart), so...
Dream podium Alena-Sasha-Zhenya, please, skating gods, pleasepleaseplease
Give Tarakanova the PCS she deserves 2k20
Also for Konstantinova to have good skates, because poor girl really needs them and if she again manages to make it to National team, for Euros and/or Worlds, well that will be funny :D
I’m gonna be cheering for basically everyone here, but a lil bit harder for Zhenya, Sinitsyna, Nastya T, Sofya, and Stasya
Also among all the Russian ladies, junior and senior, Sinitsyna has the best SP, fight me
Let’s hope Aliev will podium.
Curious to see how overscored Samsonov will be
But really the Pair event is what I’m here for. Sadly with Zabiiako/Enbert and Stolbova/Novoselov the field will less competitive than I thought.
Tarasova/Morozov please go clean and win this, because with two beautiful programs this year it would be a shame
Curious to see how the GPF results will affect Boikova/Kozloskii scores, and again if they will be overscored as they were at Rostelecom
for my babies Pepeleva/Pleshkov to finally have two clean skates
Dream podium would be Tarasova/Morozov - Boikova/Kozlovskii - Mishina/Galiamov
How well Panfilova/Rylov will do. Last year they were in the bottom. But this year they’re the JGPF champs, and it will be interesting to see how RusFed ranks them against Kostiukovich/Ialin

It’ll be a damn shame if Liza isn’t sent to worlds. She’s still have a few weeks to train and can legit challenge for top 3. Just send her RusFed.

Who do you think will be named for the senior women's Russian figure skating world team?
Sorry I didn’t answer this lol and now a prediction is useless since it’s been announced. I’m super behind on my inbox, but I figured I would answer this now that the team has actually been announced as Alina, Sofia, and Evgenia and I want to leave my thoughts lol. I’m not surprised about this team. Alina despite her Nationals and Euros performances wouldn’t be left off the team since she’s Olympic champion and she had the strongest results on the Grand Prix series. Sofia would have probably been left off if she didn’t win Euros, but her consistency prevailed and they had no choice but to take her. Evgenia has always been supported by a majority of the important people in Rusfed and she seemed to regain her confidence after all the crowd support she got at Nationals and Russian Cup Final. The Russian Cup Final win also gave Rusfed a justification to send her.
I feel that Liza should have been on the team though. She had a very strong GP series (only behind Alina for Russian ladies in results, tho I felt Liza should have been ahead of Alina at GPF) and it’s a shame that her pneumonia caused her to miss Nationals, which is basically why she’s off the World team. I also feel for Voronov who is in a similar situation. He had the best GP series for Russian men, but had to skip Nationals due to injury and is now only an alternate. Rusfed also told Mishin that he should get ready and prepare Liza for Worlds, so now that this happened… just wow. It’s also crazy to me that the vote was so overwhelmingly in Evgenia’s favor.
“Following the discussion, out of 27 members of the Coaching Council of the Federation, 19 people voted for the candidacy of Evgenia Medvedeva for inclusion in the main team, 7 people for Elizaveta Tuktamysheva’s candidacy, one member abstained.”
Also Urmanov said he voted for Evgenia over Liza and lol he really betrayed his own coach Mishin like that… yikes.
I also don’t really get the justification that Evgenia is peaking right now, while Liza is not in top form because of her recovery. Evgenia did win Russian Cup Final, but I found that result debatable. The gap was just a little over a point, but Liza was much stronger than Evgenia in the free and deserved to win overall imo. Liza did a clean triple axel and her best free skate besides GPF. The only errors were doing a 3Lz-2T instead of a 3Lz-3T and a UR on the 3T in her 2A-3T-2T. I found Zhenya’s FS score very generous. Of course both Liza and Zhenya had very inflated PCS, which isn’t surprising cause it’s a domestic competition, but Zhenya fell (the 3S-3Lo

As sloppy as they were at times, Khuda/Bazin are so much better than team Nepotism #1 and #2 and to think they don’t have any GP assignments while team nepotism #1 has two and #2 has one. Legit shame on RusFed for this one.
#RussianTestSkates2021#I assume the host pick for CoR will go to them or more likely to S/E#or they'll just give it to team nepotism 1 so they'll have two assignments#nothing will surprise me anymore
