Affinity Designer Video Tutorial - Entangled Pencils with the Shape Builder In this advanced video, I design a T-shirt print using the pen tool, the node tool, and the shape builder in Affinity Designer v2.  I had the idea of entangled pencils as a T-shirt design and recorded the process. The shape builder in v2 of Affinity Designer makes it possible to easily create these interwoven effects. There is a lot of moving nodes, adjusting curves, and trimming involved [which I did speed up for the video - the design took about 45 minutes to create.] I use symbols for a live preview on a T-shirt mockup and add decoration and grunge effects to the design. Playing once more with the Shape Builder Tool … I was trying to find out how much quicker I can do certain things with it. It's a time saver and it opens up so many new possibilities, imho. 🖖

I’m on a minecraft server with some folks and I’ve been working on this project and it’s really coming together. I basically picked out this “u” shaped area of water and I’ve been building a rustic looking village for trading around the cliffside. There is also gonna be boats for the villagers and docks and floating lanterns in the sky AHH I’m just really happy with how it’s looking!! I’m very excited for when I finish it because it is going to especially look good at night with the floating lanterns.
