queer is a brick that sometimes you throw and sometimes you use to build something new. queer is a teenage boy crying on the curb, tossed out of his family the same way they toss out rotten food, and queer is the new family he forges with a fierceness he didn't know he had. queer is a girl in love with her best friend and a guy who finally learned the perfect technique for glitter eyeliner and a someone who is standing under a blue clear sky for the first time after decades in cloaked darkness. queer is trying out one name and then another until you feel like yourself. queer is criminal and queer is a sickness. queer is a riot. queer is a quilt so we never forget. queer is meeting eyes with a stranger and seeing them the same way they are seeing you. queer is a jacket that says just drop my body on the steps of the f.d.a. queer is a flag, a pin, a sticker. queer is to be hated and to choose love anyway. queer is accusation and queer is exaltation. queer is the sigh of relief to finally be free. queer is a raunchy joke and a quiet confession and a beloved embrace. queer is to wander without a destination, just looking to see what can be found. queer is resistance. queer is joy. queer is a rainbow, not stripes but colors blending into each other so we’re all the same, even when we’re different. and yeah, maybe queer is a slur, but it’s also a home with a mat on on the front porch that says, you are welcome here.

"Kill him."
Jay balked at the order and took a step back, wincing slightly at the pain that shot through his ankle as it pulled against the ball and chain. He glanced at the man in front of him, then to the djinn who spoke from next to him, "What?"
Nadakhan smirked before grabbing Jay's hair and pulling his head back to look at the man kneeling in front of them. "Kill him."
Paling, Jay shook his head, crying out from the tightened grip in his hair. "No! He's just a civilian!"
The man shook in front of them. He was a normal man, with a suit and tie as if he was about to go to work. Minor scrapes lined his face likely from the tussle or from being dragged aboard, but otherwise he really just looked like a normal guy. His eyes were blown wide in fear and his hands rattled against their chains as his pupils flickered between the lightning ninja and the djinn.
"Did I say it was a request?" Nadakhan mused, shoving Jay forward so that he'd trip over the chain on his ankle. He waited until the boy looked back at him before pulling out his sword, smiling wickedly as Jay's eyes widened at the screams from his friends that ensued. "Do it or I do the same to your friends as I did to you."
Jay's breath hitched, his eyes focused on the sword. "B-but what did he do? There has to be a reason you want me to ki-"
"You forget, my little canary," Nadakhan whispered, dissapearing and reappearing next to Jay's ear, "that we are pirates. We kill who we want to kill. And now you--" he flicked at the eyepatch crusted with dried blood on Jay's face, making the latter shiver, "--are a pirate too."
"I am not a pirate!" Jay snapped, wrenching away from the djinn and backing away, dragging his chain with him. He threw his hands protectively in front of the shaking man, who seemed to calm slightly at the action. "I am a ninja! I was trained to protect!"
Nadakhan watched him, smiling, before shaking his head and tutting. "Oh, Jay." He turned to Flintlocke behind him. "Prepare two more sets of chains. We are about to have two more guests, the fire and ice ones."
The ship was silent as Flintlocke hesitated, glancing at Jay then back at his captain, before sighing and giving the signal. Two pirates rushed downstairs to prepare what the captain had ordered.
"No!" Jay screamed, throwing himself forward and landing in the arms of the djinn. He fought against the grip, grabbing for the blade that held his brothers, his heart wrenching every time he heard their screams. Tears stained his face as he desperately struggled against the four arms around him. "You can't!"
"I can." Nadakhan mused, grabbing Jay by his throat and throwing him back to the ground with a shout. "But you can help them." He tossed a knife down with him.
Freezing, Jay stared down at it, curling away from it at first before slowly turning to look at the man.
His more relaxed stance hadn't changed, and he gave a small smile to the ninja. "Don't worry kiddo, I know you won't kill me."
Jay's breath hitched and his eyes turned back to the knife at his feet, then at the sword in the djinn's hands. He slowly stood up, grimacing at the creaks in his bones, and straightened, kicking the knife away. The man let out a sigh of relief and Nadakhan raised an eyebrow in amusement.
But Jay wasn't done. He turned to the djinn, holding his hands out. "Break the chains. Let me use my power."
Nadakhan paused, before bursting into deep laughter, throwing his head back in absolute glee. "I see! How noble of you!" He grinned and snapped his fingers, the chains on Jay's wrists and ankle instantly breaking in two.
Jay sighed in relief as he felt his electricity coursing through his veins again and couldn't help but let out a few sparks, the current running across his skin. The sky darkened above him as his element rejoiced his return. He looked back at Nadakhan, who was patiently tapping the sword at his waist. He knew that Jay wouldn't do anything, not as long as his brothers are in there. Jay cursed under his breath and turned back to the man, who this time stiffened, eyes turning upwards in a confused expression.
"Kiddo?"
Jay burst forward with immeasurable speed and placed his hands on the man, sending thousands upon thousands of volts running through the man's body, right through the heart, frying the brain, shutting down every nerve and every organ. It had happened so quickly, he had made sure the man wouldn't feel a thing, and he fell over at Jay's feet, smoking from every pore in his body.
The master of lightning cried out at the feeling beneath his fingers, the feeling of death. The feeling of something so alive turning off like a power switch. He desperately kneeled by the man, feeling for a pulse, a small shock, anything.
He knew he could recessitate him, he knew he could make his heart start beating again.
But he didn't.
---
Once again I am not very good at writing however I had this thought and had ot get it out. Basically I was just thinking about how what if Nadakhan didn't just want Jay to lose his ninja-hood but also to become a pirate. What if, after Skybound, for some strange reason, Jay doesn't have as much irks about killing than the other ninja?
(this is also based off of the fact that, in the actual skybound, you see jay thrust at a guy with the sword with EVERY INTENTION TO KILL HIM and then gasp in surprise when his soul dissapeared in the sword each time. Hmmm)

A WAY FOR THE UNIVERSE ON AO3
porn with feelings in space (feat. alien cas)
Rating: Explicit Words: 3,234 Tags: Alternate Universe - Space, Alien Castiel, Human Dean Winchester, Porn with Feelings, Hallucinogens (sort of… see author note)
Summary:
“I have music,” Cas says. “I know it’s not what you generally prefer, but I read that—well. Do you mind?”
Unflappable Cas, becoming increasingly flustered. It’s almost flattering. “Did you do research?” Dean asks, unable to keep the teasing lilt out of his voice.
“I’ve never been with a human before,” Cas says, looking away. “I want you to enjoy yourself.”
“I think I’m going to do more than ‘enjoy’ myself,” Dean says, hoping the flippant tone will cover up the way his chest aches with Cas’s solemn sweetness. “Start the tunes.”

OC WRITING TIME!!!!
"Fynn, come back. I didn't mean it, you’re not a liar." Jay sighed, exhaustedly walking after the teenager that was storming out of the monastery. "I just don't like talking about Nadakhan with my family, ok?"
"Oh, well I'm SORRY you don't LIKE IT!" Fynn seethed, whirling on the man, stopping him dead in his tracks. His eyes flashed a bright red in his anger. “I’m sorry you get the privilege to not think about it.”
Jay bit back a snarky remark, instead putting a hand on his hips as he glared down at the kid. “You don’t know anything-”
“Oh,” Fynn barked out a laugh, “oh I know way more than you think.”
Now Jay was mad. His hands sparked and he bared his teeth. “Look, kid, just because you saw my memories doesn’t mean you know anything about what I had to go through, alright? You don’t get to play the victim here!”
Fynn went quiet, the red haired teen closing his mouth and changing his expression from anger to mild amusement, the kind of smirk on his face that made Jay seethe. “Oh, man, you really don’t know a thing about me, do you?”
“What?”
“And here you are, claiming to be my master.”
“I did not-”
“I was there.”
The voice was so quiet that Jay almost didn’t catch it, but when he did he blinked, stopping dead in his tracks. The sparks fizzled out and he looked curiously down at the teen, who was looking away now and anxiously tapping his foot. “What?”
“I was there. In Djinjago.”
Jay paled. He had never seen this kid. That’s impossible! How old would he have had to be-  “How-”
Fynn bit his lip then slowly reached out a hand that began glowing red. He touched Jay’s shoulder warily and suddenly Jay was transported into the past.
Floating islands, connected through rope and chain. Sky mines floating aimlessly among them, quiet despite the danger they promised. A temple slowly came above the clouds, rock and roots still hanging beneath it from its newly upheaved land. Frightened masked ghosts hung out of the windows, most of them not much older than 8, clutching the shutters as they watched the ground disappear beneath them.
One of them was a boy with dark red hair, mouth covered in a mask. He was the oldest one there, at about 10 years old, and was quickly ushering everyone away from the windows.
“Quickly, everyone to safety!” Their sensei, Yang, whispered urgently, pushing them to the back doors as he approached the front ones. When Fynn managed to get everyone out, he followed behind Yang, peeking out of the door behind him as his master strode confidently out–looking at the figures above them.
Nadakhan.
They’d seen him on the news.
The little boy swallowed nervously, glancing down at his hands. Would his power help now? No, he can’t touch the djinn. That’s too dangerous.
Why was he so useless?
“What a pretty temple! But it's so dirty…why don't you clean it out.” They all heard what the djinn said, and saw the water pumps being readied.
“Wait!” Yang shouted. “This is my temple! All we have is children. We will leave you in peace!”
“Children, you say?” The djinn mused from his spot above them, before disappearing and reappearing in front of Yang. He glanced behind Yang to look at the boy in the door, before turning his gaze to the other ghost children that had gathered on the side of the building, cowering. His eyes seemed to narrow as he took in their outfits. “Hmph, Ninjas.”
“We do not associate ourselves with Sensei Wu and his ninja.” Yang pleaded, stepping back to cover the red haired boy in the doorway. “We study in private. We will not be of harm to you.”
“Will you now?” Nadakhan cocked his head at the boy he was protecting. “Even with elemental masters by your side?”
Both the boy and Yang paled, if that was even possible for a ghost to do. “N-no you must be mistaken-” The sensei hastily explained before being cut off with a scream as the djinn disappeared and reappeared holding the red haired boy up by his arm. With a flick of his wrist another pirate sprayed water around the peripheral of the temple, blocking the sensei from following.
“Hmmm, memory I see. That would be very useful.” Nadakhan whispered, eyes searching the kid’s face, the kid who was screaming and punching and kicking at the djinn. His hands suddenly glowed a bright red, causing the djinn’s mind to fuzz, and Nadakhan quickly dropped him, shaking his head as he tried to remember what he had for breakfast that morning.
…Why was that so important right now?
With a frustrated growl, he glared at the boy who was crumbled on the ground giving him a half cocky half nervous smile.
That smile.
That smile was so fucking familiar.
Arrogant. Cocky. So fucking scared but not wanting to show it.
How many little birds must he break?
“You.” He snapped. “I can give you anything. Three wishes. I suggest you use them now before my patience is gone.” After all, he had other things to take care of on his ship.
Other…people.
The kid’s eyes widened, seeming to forget the incident from a second ago, and his eyes shone a little bit. “Wishes? Anything?”
“Fynn, no!” Yang yelled from the temple, trying to step forward but hissing as his foot twitched in contact with the water blocking him. “he’s trying to trick you! He wants your power!”
They both ignored him. “Yes, anything child.” Nadakhan didn’t even bother laying out the rules for the child. What child would wish for death, harm, or more wishes?
“I wish for more wishes!”
This one apparently.
Gritting his teeth, Nadakhan’s grip tightened on his sword. “No wishing for more wishes.”
“Why?
“Because that’s how it works.”
“But why?”
Nadakhan drew his sword, giving a devilish smile to the kid, which shut him up very quickly. “Must I remind you of the stakes? No playing around. Make the wishes, child. Or else I'll water your home down.”
He wasn’t playing around. Little did he know that the child in question was thinking fast. Thinking so fast of what he could do. How could he save his family? His friends? Himself?
Where were the ninja? He knows the lightning one was here. He knows he is here right now! On the ship. Why isn’t he helping? How could he call him? Should he?
…Would he even answer? He saw him when they paraded him around the city. Chained, stumbling, eyes dazed.
Broken.
Weak.
Unreliable.
And so the little 10 year old red haired boy, with trembling lips and hands, looked up at the djinn and opened his mouth. He did all he could do. He had to rely on himself now.
“I wish for my family to be safe.”
Jay’s eyes snapped open, going from red back to his normal blue. He opened his mouth as his eyes met the teenager below him, who had wrenched his hand away and had taken a step back, expression turning wary and guarded.
“Fynn-”
“Now you see.” The boy hissed, crossing his arms. “I’m not a liar.”
Jay groaned and rubbed his forehead, still trying to rid himself of the fuzzy feeling in his brain. “I’m sorry for calling you a liar.” He paused, then slowly looked back at him and said. “But, Fynn, you know I absolutely would have saved you right?”
The teen stiffened, eyes widening at the phrase, before immediately dropping his shoulders and laughing. “Sure, Jay. Sure.” He chuckled and turned around, shoving his hands in his pockets and continuing his exit from the monastery. “I know what you did up there. He would have dangled your friends in front of you and you would have killed me in seconds flat.” He tilted his head back at the frozen Jay, giving a tight smile, his eyes a dangerous red haze. “Which is completely ok. I would do the same.”
Before he could make his way to the courtyard Jay lurched forward and grabbed his arm. “But I reversed the timeline! I wished-”
“Your WISH didn’t do SHIT” Fynn suddenly screamed, wrenching his arm away as if he was burned. In Jay’s agitated state, it’s very possible he was. He shook suddenly, stumbling backwards from the blue ninja onto the courtyard. The ninja in question stood bewildered at the outburst, hand still outstretched. “My family is gone.”
“Fynn-”
“My family is GONE. And WHERE IS YOURS?”
Jay swallowed.
“Where are they?” Fynn repeated harshly, hands forming fists at his sides.
“Here.” Jay whispered.
Fynn stood there, in a wide stance as if about to fight, squinting his eyes before snickering.
“You weak fuck.”
And then he turned on his heels and disappeared into the night.
--
Sorry for the long post. I've been in a writing mood today and wanted to write this scene from my AU. I was talking to @taddymason about how our aus just love to torture Jay so i decided to write it. This is literally just one big insult to Jay so.
Do i have to warn for cursing? I hope not. Fynn is a teenager with emotional dysregulation so im sure you guys can understand.
Anyways. LORE!

A HUMAN TOUCH
suptober 2022 - digital + pillow talk
“Hey, quit worrying,” Dean says. “It’s no big deal. Throwback to when we met.”
He’s trying for lighthearted, but it falls a little flat—something else just like when they met, back when he was nothing but strings of code. Before he learned inflection, and facial expressions, and gestures, and all the feelings that go with. Before he was in love with Cas. Before Cas was in love with him.
Dean doesn’t voice his fear of what happens if the new body doesn’t work out and the old one can’t be fixed either. How soon will Cas forget that Dean is a person when he’s back to being a disembodied voice and tricks of the light? How soon will Cas miss touching and being touched?
Dean already misses it. He knows what it means to have an ache in his chest now, even though he’s never had a heart, and certainly never one this heavy. It’s a phantom pain, a ghost in his own machinery. He looks at Cas, curled up in rumpled sheets, and remembers how soft his hair is, how steady his heartbeat, how fucking good it is to feel a smile turn into a kiss. All Cas has to look at is a tablet propped on the nightstand on Dean’s side of the bed.
“I’m not worrying,” Cas says. “I have no doubt Charlie and Ash will be able to give you a new skeleton. I just hate you being so dependent on me.”
“It’s not like I can get a bank account even when I am walkin’ around,” Dean says. He wishes he hadn’t said it as soon as that miserable look takes over Cas’s face, the one like he can barely stand under the weight of guilt. Dean tries to soften it by saying, “But we’re working on that, too. This is going to help.”
“I know.” Cas rolls onto his back and rubs a hand over his face. “And you’ll be able to…”
Dean smirks. “I’ll be able to what, hotstuff?”
“That’s not what I meant,” Cas says, hand dropping away from his face so he can scowl at Dean.
“A machine can hope, can’t he?”
Cas tries to maintain the scowl, but it softens into something Dean likes a lot better almost immediately. “I was going to say that you’ll be able to kiss me.”
Dean’s voice goes softer and quieter, too. “Yeah. I will.”
After a moment where they just smile at each other, the reality of Dean’s disembodiment falling away, Cas says, “The fully functioning genitalia will be nice, too.”
Dean laughs and laughs, and Cas joins, and things are easier like that. The touching is good—and is supposed to get better, with the help of Charlie and Ash’s breakthroughs with lifelike skin and an improved nervous system—but in a moment of clarity, Dean is pretty sure the laughter is better. More important.
“Hey,” he says. “I really love you.”
Dean’s pretty sure he’s had a look at just about everything in creation, even if he’s not carrying around all the data anymore, but Cas’s smile is still the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen.
