i have watched this very excellent battlestar galactica fanvid every few months since it was uploaded to youtube 13 years ago. it's to the beastie boys' song sabotage. the video mirrors the original sabotage music video. a side-by-side comparison of the original with the bsg mashup is available. this video is my glimmer, my hit of happy when i need it.

On advice from Circe, Odysseus and his crew sail past the island of the sirens, who attempt to lure sailors to certain death with their song. The crew plug their ears and bind Odysseus to the mast so that he might hear the sirens' song, but not jump overboard.

Oh, and taking away the Sharon's newborn child to be raised in secrecy by someone else while pretending it died was a stupid decision: the child would have given them so much leverage over Sharon and would have been more safe from falling into Cylon hands on Galactica.

It’s not serious. Kara won’t let it be serious and Sharon doesn’t need it to be. It feels like they’re going to fly and burn, take the world down with them, rise again. They’re living so fast only they can stay even with each other.
