I just had this idea that maybe Taissa and Shauna have some type of deep rooted history between each other before they were on the soccer team/before the crash, and that’s why they seem to have a stronger connection during their time in the woods.

Like maybe their parents were friends and they grew up together or they were really close in elementary school and once middle school hit (possibly Tai realizing she’s gay, Shauna getting closer to jackie), and they drifted apart, but we see their connection in the woods, and their friendship is strong after that, maybe because Tai had Van, and Shauna had Jackie.

Possibly, Tai realized she liked girls and possibly liked Shauna? Which made Shauna feel insecure because she had feelings too, or at least about girls generally, and felt like she needed to block Tai out completely so she could shut down the feelings she had, until Jackie.

Hello folks, so I am genuinely curious.

Why does no one else ship Tai and Shauna? Why is it such a rare pair? Why are you all so ready to ship Shauna and Lottie (which is silly to me) yet not Tai and Shauna?

They have such a deep connection to each other. Shauna only lets Tai get close to her. Tai is her biggest confidante. And Tai with Shauna too. They shared each other deepest secrets with each other with no judgment. They trust each other on such a deep level. They are soulmates

Why don’t other see them the same way I do?

Is it because they are boring? Are there more interesting ships? Is it Van? Is it Jackie?

Taissa waking up scared and confused after a blackout, dirt under her nails, scratches on her skin. Worried about hiding it - until she remembers.

But Shauna is there. Shauna knows what to do.

Without a word, Shauna draws a hot bath, filling the tub with foam before Tai can protest about wasting the bubble bath. She tucks Tai's hair into a shower cap, surreptitiously checking her shoulders for bruises.

Tai exhales as she slides into the warm, sudsy water. She realizes how sore and fatigued she really is, feeling the heat soothe the tension out of her muscles. She lets her eyes close. She can relax. Shauna's there. She's safe.

every day I think of adult taishauna in Callie's bed together, probably spooning, at the very least holding hands. shauna refusing to letting taissa go, even if her friend fights against her, even if being together hurts. taissa feeling safe in shauna's warm arms, which undoes her a little if she thinks about it for too long; safety is something that's becoming increasingly hard for her to believe in and to capably afford. she eventually sleeps. shauna doesn't. and that's love.
