Binged this on Netflix, a brutal reinterpretation of the Utah War. It features Betty Gilpin, an actor who is always putting in daring performances. This is one of those. Gritty performances are delivered across the board by this mesmorising ensemble cast. Special mentions go to: Taylor Kitsch, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, Derek Hinkey, Kim Coates, Joe Tippet, Shawnee Pourier, Dane DeHaan, Luke Neff and of course Boardwalk Empire's Shea Wigham.

I’m trying to find native fancasts for Cerise/Ramona but it’s actually so hard to find.

Like one it’s already hard to find native actresses none the less find two who could be sisters and have the same ethnicity.

Ramona is relatively easy, I’ve found a couple that match.

But cerise? It’s so hard to find native actresses who aren’t too drop dead gorgeous (aka Shawnee Pourier, you could never convince me she would be playing a loner, she’s way too gorgeous for that) or too sweet looking. Like I need someone slightly angsty who could look like she has no friends!!

Okay but u know that girl in S4 of ST who liked Will, you know, the girl with the really cute hair style where its shoulder length and flips out at the bottom, the girl with the really cute outfit with blue earrings and matching blue skirt and complimentary pink shirt, you know the girl with the cutest puppy eyes that look like someone took two chocolate buttons and stuck them to her face. Yeah you know her? Well what if she started talking to Will one day during lunch at school and asks Will if she can sit next to him and he says yes, and they start talking and realise they have a lot in common like, they both like drawing and they both like dnd. Then after that day they always sit together at lunch and eventually they start sitting next to each other in class and over time they slowly become besties. And one day she comes over the Byers/Hopper house to do a project together, Will and her both come through the door laughing (because they were probably talking about something funny that happened at school) Jane is on the couch watching T.V and Joyce is next her reading a magazine, he walks in the living room and introduces her to them and they introduce themselves to her.

They go up stairs and into Wills room, she takes a look around, she sees his desk with some pencils and paper and a few drawings and then she sees his diary, it's sitting on the window sill, she doesn't want to invade his privacy so she doesn't ask about it. But she notices a small piece of paper stuck on to the very corner of the book, it's the pride flag. She's not homophobic and she thinks Will is awesome and doesn't want him to stop being friends with her, so, she doesn't say anything. Hours go by and it starts getting dark outside when they finally finish the project, Will looks out the window and realises it's poring outside, the girls parents car is being fixed and it's too late for any buses to being due, so Will asks Joyce if she spend the night and she's says sure.

It's time for dinner, Joyce calls Will from up the stairs where him and his friend have been talking, he comes down the stairs and so does she, Hopper isn't home because he has to work a night shift so it's just him, his sister, his mom, and his friend. They both sit down next to each other as Joyce gives each of them their food, then they're all sat down and eating, Joyce is asking the normal questions like "where are you from?" and "how long have you and Will been friends?" And stuff like that. Jane thinks she's super nice and pretty and thinks that she's a good friend to Will and Joyce thinks the same.

Dinners over and it's time for bed, Jane asks if this girl wants some spare pjs to wear for the night and she nods her head, so they go up stairs to see what they can find. Joyce walks over too Will and says "she's a lovely girl isn't she?" And Will replies with "yeah and we like a lot of the safe stuff too" Joyce gives him a smile and walks off. Will then goes up stairs and gets ready for bed, the girl knocks on the door and Will opens it and lets her in. She carrying sleeping bag with her and Will points too the empty space next to his bed and says "uh, you can put that there if you want" so she does. They both get comfortable and try to go to sleep, but Will couldn't, so he gets an idea, he reaches his arm down the side of his bed and taps the girl on her shoulder, she turns around and asks him what's up and he says he can't sleep. He then asks "do you wanna stay up all night?" And the girl thinks for a second, I mean its not a school night and she doesn't need be anywhere tomorrow, so she says yes.

She gets out of her sleeping bag and hops on Wills bed and sits next to him, they start talking a bit, but before they knew it, talking turned into laughing. Hours, and hours, and hours went by, its now 4AM and they've already had a midnight snack, played 2 truths and a lie, truth or dare and they made up a way too overly complicated handshake. They have run out of things to do at this point, but then she looks at Will and asks "so..do you like anyone?" And Will shrugged and said 'maybe" in sarcastic tone and she's like "who is it! What's she like!?" And Will looks around a bit and is about to answer but before he could say anything she says "or he" And Will at her confused and says "what?" And she says "what's he or she like?" And Will looks at her with the happiest look on his face and says "he's great" and she goes "so its a he, whats his name then?" And Will takes a deep breath before saying "Mike Wheeler" her eyes widen and her jaw drops and Will just sits there smiling before they just burst out in laughter

"NO WAY, MIKE WHEELER ,REALLY???" She asks when she manages to stop laughing "yep, I don't know else to tell you" Will says in response "how long have you liked him?" She asks "ever since I was about 12" Will replied "REALLY?" She says shocked "yep" Will says nodding his head "does he know?" She asks "no, I kept trying to tell him but we kept getting of track" Will says while sounding a bit down "I won't tell anyone if you don't want me to, okay" she replies reassuringly "okay, thanks" Will says quietly

That Monday at lunch time, she sits next to Will as normal, but then she notices Mike looking for a place to sit, she glances at Will for a second before waving her arm in the air and shouting "Hey Mike, there's a spot here next to Will if you wanna sit there!" She winks at Will just before Mike comes over and sits down next to him.
