Donna Noble really got in the TARDIS and on trip number ONE like ONLY the FIRST trip she was like we are going to change history to save a single family because that is how it should work so that is how it does and then on trip number TWO on the SECOND trip she was like we are going to destroy an entire culture of slavery because it is right I don't care if we're two people and then on the THIRD trip she was like I am going to be unbelievably brave to save my home and everyone I love and then on the FOURTH trip she was like no living breathing thinking creature is less than a person and how dare you try to dehumanise someone like that how dare you not give her a name and the list GOES ON this woman NEVER MISSED there goes one of the kindest bravest most constant women you might ever meet and she's a temp from Chiswick

thinking about how korra is the last avatar of wan's era and the first avatar of her era
and thinking about how the southern air temple sanctuary avatar statue spiral always would've been completed with korra in the center of it, the 183rd avatar
and thinking about how the temple signals as though it was always destined to be this way, that korra was always meant to be the inflection point of eras, and how she heralded the world down this path forged all by herself through her sheer power and spirit, bridging the worlds and forever changing its landscape. she did that! she both opened the old portals and created a new portal in the first 21 years of her life, in opposite of her predecessor 10,000 years ago, and she brought back the air nation despite her tumultuous heart, and she sacrificed so much of herself to ensure their survival. she is so full of love and compassion and care and she has given so much of herself to the world. and she is the starting point for the the new avatars after her and there is so much that she alone can give them

i wish people treated medda as if she was more than jacks mother figure. yes she is that and yes its beautiful that shes willing to be that for him & the fact that he has that support system & safety net is wonderful HOWEVER, shes also a black woman in 1899 who is successful enough to run her own theatre. shes also a woman who was willing to risk losing her theatre or getting blacklisted because she helped those kids and allowed them to hold a rally in her theatre. (in the book she literally mentions the papers have power over her too. if reviews don’t get published her career is at risk). shes an Incredible and mesmerizing performer who can fill seats nightly. shes probably saved a few of the boweries from ending up on the streets. she lets jack come in and get paid for doing art which he just Enjoys. clearly shes just willing to Help people who heed it. shes an incredibleeee character with an enormous heart and while she does love jack she is so so much more than “jacks mom” :’)))
