The way John tells Harrow he sometimes wishes she were his daughter in htn and then later finding out he *does* in fact have a daughter but she's nothing like Harrow but he still tries to connect with her and share his culture with her and gives her what she wants (I bet she was the one who decided to go fight on the frontlines because it used to be her dream and she was still bitter and hurt over Harrow) but she's still not what he wanted and they both know it and oooouough aurgh eck

i love this concept of them reuniting where Harrow has come out, but Gideon is still deeply closeted. On some level, it feels like a reversal of their canon dynamics (Gideon always trying to run away from the Ninth and be free, Harrow deciding to dedicate her life to the rock she is chained to) BUT ACTUALLY i think it works really well (how after the Pool scene, Harrow progresses by realizing she can't become a Lyctor/doesnt want to pay the price vs Gideon regressing, leaning full tilt into becoming The Perfect Cavalier, a fall from grace so devastating that she is still drinking the Emperor's Koolaid Post-Dead). both is good!!!

I think a lot have people have taken Nona's "They're wearing friendship bracelets!" to mean Ianthe and Kiriona are now friends or at least getting along well.

But in the unwanted guest we saw Ianthe Naberius had a pretty unfavorable view of Gideon at Canaan house, and I don't believe Gideon has changed as much as she thinks (or wants) to have.

Ianthe isn't nice to the people she likes on a good day so with Babs bleeding in ... How bad were those six months for Gideon?

The person with the most stunted growth in the bat clan has got to be Cassandra. She spent 9 years homeless on the streets, during which she likely had to learn how money worked and what was okay to eat all on her own. Seeing as how Cain was willing to shoot Cass enough times that she no longer flinched, I really think his focus was far more on developing her skill than keeping her in peak health condition. David Cain is the kind of fucked up where he’d put Cass through “hunger resistance training” but also always have breakfast lunch and dinner prepared for her otherwise. I don’t think she’d see food she couldn’t eat until she left him.

Anyways, the tallest Cassandra I can accept is 5’3”. The tallest.
