Tumblr media
From Playbill: "Lovingly ripped from the film classic, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot has everything that makes a great knight at the theatre, from flying cows to killer rabbits, British royalty to French taunters, dancing girls, rubbery shrubbery, and of course, the lady of the lake."

Is Beyoncé A Clone? 7 Of The Craziest Conspiracy Theories About Celebrities That Will Make You Unplug Your WiFi Router
It’s not the first time a strong, black woman has been undermined by rumours writhing with racism. And unfortunately, the claims that Beyoncé is a clone (amongst other theories) will not be the last.
Conspiracy theories recently have taken quite a turn. What was once a right of passage for getting lost on the internet has actually begun having an impact on our future.
Convincing yourself Beyoncé actually died back in 2000, or that her husband is a leading member of the Illuminati wasn’t going to do any real damage, was it? Convincing everyone else that vaccines are a form of mind control/contain trackers/made of dead babies actually can.
Unsolved mysteries, evidence of the unexplained, and stories of the strange have stalked paranormal enthusiasts like myself since the day we heard our first ghost story.
But sometimes, these things can be hilarious. Sometimes, our favourite urban legends and treasured conspiracy theories are just ridiculous.
And hey - who doesn’t need a laugh right now?
Grab your gloss and turn up Destiny’s Child. It’s time to investigate whether Beyoncé *actually is* Beyoncé…
Tumblr media
Queen B’s Second Life
At the turn of the millennium, Beyoncé was on the cusp of super stardom. She had snagged her first Grammy with Destiny’s Child and was already identified as the leader of the group with her show-stopping personality and pipes. But some say, at this time, she died. Knowing her potential, it is alleged the big cheeses at her record label cloned her with her very own stem cells.
The evidence is obvious: today she looks very different to when she did in 2000. And it’s not like your looks change within the span of 20 years, or anything.
Many also cite a video of her at a basketball game acting like an NPC to support their claims.
Oh, you don’t think this feminist icon was duplicated for cash-making purposes?
Well, what if I told you she was actually Italian! According to some conspiracy theorists - the sort that are waiting for Qanon to save them from having to wear masks in Walmart - Beyoncé isn’t African-american. Her real name is Ann Marie Lastrassi.
*Apparently* Ann was Beyoncé’s name before she joined the Illuminati. You’ve definitely heard this theory: Jay-Z and his wife are members of the secret society some believe is dictating world events. Her hubby’s frequent use of the diamond hand sign and Beyoncé’s own inspiration from religious symbolism is used as evidence of their practices within the group. But the claim that Beyoncé is using her alleged faked heritage to sell more records is probably more of a ruse against Black Lives Matters than reality.
She’s a powerful black woman - and to some people, that means she’s fake.
So fake, in fact, she didn’t carry her first child. Many point to this image here, where she sits down for an interview, as evidence of a fake baby bump.
But to be honest, I think this is most likely theory to be true. Having a baby is a difficult life decision for any person, but when you’re an international superstar that has to be able to pull off insanely tough choreography with a certain body type, snapping back after a sprog is even more of a challenge.
The rumours of her maternity don’t end there. Some claim her sister, Solange, is actually her daughter.
Alleging that she doesn’t deserve her acclaim is rooted in microaggressions, the thing theorists feast on. Curiosity is okay - racism is not.
Tumblr media
Avril Lavigne Is Also Dead
Most celebrities share similar conspiracy theories. They’re all supposedly cloned, the Antichrist, and/or dead.
But Lavigne is most famous for being the latter. This Canadian singer apparently died 2 years after Queen B was cloned with the latest stem cell technology - but she wasn’t replaced with a duplicate. They hired an actress named Melissa to take her place.
And the actress wants out.
Theorists claim lyrics in her songs hint to the actress wanting to break free from her servitude (“The day you slipped away was the day I found it won’t be the same”) and that how she looks now is different to 2 decades ago.
Guys, again, this is just how time works.
In one photoshoot, Lavigne even has “Melissa” written on her hand.
*shocked pikachu face*
Stevie Wonder Isn’t Blind
This African-american singer-songwriter is one of the most celebrated voices in pop music, shaping R&B in the 70s with his various musical talents on a range of instruments. All the while growing up in a segregated America and being blind.
But some believe the latter isn’t so true.
The evidence used to try and disprove his lack of sight includes him going to basketball games, taking a photo, and catching a falling mic stand. Of course, people who are blind can do all of this.
Videos like this are also used to cite his lack of sight (I can’t work out if the pun is inappropriate).
Britney Spears Was Part Of The Bush Administration
Britney has faced a tough - and televised - rise to fame. This former child star has recently had her personal affairs with her father hit the headlines, stacking up the theories about her own life. But the most bizarre takes us back to 2003.
Members of the #FreeBritney movement claim Spears is not in control of her cash with her huge payout from Vegas shows and album records leaving her with a limited allowance. Question is, was she paid for working with the US government to cover publicised scandals of the Bush administration?
It started with an infamous interview when a young Britney said this in response to a question about the Iraq War:
“Honestly, I think we should just trust our president in every decision he makes and should just support that, you know, and be faithful in what happens.”
A year later, her 55-hour-long Vegas marriage left a shadow over the United States V. Libby case. And in 2006, a split from her boyfriend took place a single day before the midterms.
What about when Bush claimed more troops were being sent to Iraq? Britney had her infamous breakdown when was caught shaving her head and attacking the car of a pap with an umbrella.
Tumblr media
Paul Is Dead
This 78 year old music legend is probably one of the most famous singer-songwriters, well, ever. The Beatles will forever be the biggest band on the planet - and that’s what makes this theory quite so convincing.
Legend has it that on the 9th November 1966, Paul McCartney died in a car crash and was replaced with a lookalike. And, just like Avril Lavigne’s own replacement, their music apparently communicated hints to what really happened.
Lennon supposedly sang about burying Paul and "here's another clue for you all / the walrus was Paul". And in an album cover photo, McCartney is shown barefoot and out of step with his bandmates.
The rumour has been rebutted on many occasions, even inspiring a live album titled Paul Is Live. Despite this, it is one of the most enduring theories in pop culture.
Katy Perry Is Jonbenet Ramsay
This is a curious conspiracy theory.
In 1996, JonBenét Ramsey was found dead in her Colorado family home. She had been killed, and her body was found hours later in the basement with a ransom note. What happened to this beauty pageant queen is one of the most infamous unsolved crimes, with many alleging her family had staged the discovery of her body to cover up that they murdered her.
Many theories have followed up this story, some realistic and some bizarre. But there is one that sticks out.
According to one theorist, Ramsey was not murdered. Instead, she grew up to be international-renowned recording artist Katy Perry.
This is when we wander back into familiar territory: Dave Johnson claimed JonBenet’s parents - who are often believed to have staged the discovery or killed her - sacrificed her to the Illuminati for fame ‘n’ fortune.
Their evidence relied on alleged similarities between Ramsey and Perry, focusing exclusively on the eyebrows.
Right.
Tumblr media
Nicolas Cage Is A Vampire
A number of celebrities are believed to be immortal. In fact, you can claim anyone is a time traveller, even Doreen down the round! All you have to do is take one of their pictures and look through really old photographs til you catch someone with a slight resemblance.
But one of the most famous cases of this is Mr Meme himself: Nicolas Cage.
Many believe the fact he played one in a film is more than enough evidence that he is one of the undead. Hiding in plain sight, I guess?
So - do you think Beyoncé is a clone?
Let me know what you think in a comment below. And while you’re there, make sure you like ‘n’ reblog!
If you want to hear somethin’ spooky - or somethin’ stupid like this - every weekend go ahead and hit follow.

Against the Current’s ‘In Our Bones’ turns one year old
Tumblr media
Against the Current’s In Our Bones turns one year old today, and due to how often it’s been on rotation around sonder HQ, we figured it was a good chance to take a look back at the album and its individual songs.
In Our Bones is notable for a few different reasons: It’s the band’s first full-length and the first album released under Fueled By Ramen. And for the band itself? One year ago, Against the Current was on the cusp of their first Vans Warped Tour, after which they would transition into a world tour for the new album, a setting where they would get to explore most of the album live as the headliner. “First album” and “world headlining tour” are not typically two phrases you see together, but Against the Current already did it when they had just two EPs out, so it seems they’ve got it down.
We never gave In Our Bones a proper review, but it’s a polished, diverse pop-rock album that navigates itself through different territories but still feels cohesive. Now, one year later, let’s look at the identity of each song and how they’ve fit into the band’s discography and history.
Tumblr media
1) RUNNING WITH THE WILD THINGS
It would be a surprise if the band didn’t pick this song as the album lead without being aware of how its message broadcasts the identity of the band. “Running With The Wild Things” is the closest thing the band has come to punk rock. Not to say it’s full of sludgy guitars and dirty bass, but it’s frantic with a fast pace. And it’s a song about fighting systematic norms and breaking out of “the machine,” legacy punk ideals. It all comes together toward the end of the song when Will Ferri is just smashing on his drums while Chrissy Costanza belts “we got too big for the cage you locked us up in,” backed by gang vocals. Even more, if you go watch certain live renditions of this song, Costanza plays with her vocal delivery to make it even rawer. It is both unexpected and tantalizing for Costanza to break so heavily into the motifs found in this song, and if the entire album had this song’s style, you might have found it filed under new-wave punk rock instead of pop-rock. But part of the draw of In Our Bones is its different overtones, which is why the next song hits the ears in a completely different way.
2) FORGET ME NOW
“Forget Me Now” goes 110 percent on a big, aspiring pop sound. This tune is catchy from the very start, from the guitar lead to the beat of Costanza’s vocals to the way the chorus goes up and down. It’s hard not to tap along to this one. It’s one of the more straightforward songs on the album and is a good pick to ease a new listener into the band. Lyrically, it’s unapologetic and proud, a confident “look at me now” song.
Tumblr media
3) CHASING GHOSTS
This is one of the low-key songs on the album, marked by moody guitars and a dark sense of atmosphere. It’s a 180 from the songs before and after it. Costanza forms an almost film noir picture with her words, a darkly dreamy piece that calls upon shipwrecks and ghosts and blue TV light.
4) ONE MORE WEEKEND
Don’t let the pep of “One More Weekend” make you gloss over the fact that it deals with something we all struggle with at one point: loss of youth. This song exhales nostalgia, makes you yearn for those long-passed memories with old friends doing the things you did as kids. This is also prime time for Ferri – all the way back to the Infinity EP days, Ferri has shown he knows how to let songs breathe by giving some pause in his beats, which makes this one’s chorus soar.
Tumblr media
5) IN OUR BONES
The title track is in the running for one of the best songs the trio has written, and it’s completely different than anything else they’ve put out. “In Our Bones” is a rollicking little acoustic song that glides by and is infectiously charismatic – Costanza makes this song colorful and bright (singing about neon, wildfire, fields of gold, etc.), and it’s easy to see where the artwork for the album came from. Everything about this song, from Costanza’s fluttering voice in the chorus to the overall coffee shop song vibes, make it a pleasant song to just sit and listen to. “In Our Bones” got some proper treatment during the band’s world tour for the album, but you might not find it on a set list when the band is in a supporting slot. Shame, because they really keep the character of it when playing it live.
6) YOUNG & RELENTLESS
This is the song that’s in competition with “Forget Me Now” for catchy pop songwriting. It’s a band identity song, about the bustle of being on the road, living through all the ups and downs that come with the life. It’s also impossible to get out of your head, thanks to Ferri’s drums and Costanza’s vocal beat. It’s classic catchy pop. “Young & Relentless,” as one of the album’s most accessible songs, got a unique acoustic video that featured the band playing it while walking around London, eventually having a crowd of fans join in for the last chorus.
Tumblr media
7) RUNAWAY
“Runaway” hits you with more of that diversity – it’s a poppy song, but in a more hectic and unchained way, moving from groovy verses to a giant chorus. This is a Dan Gow specialty – the tone and structure of his guitar work is what gives this track the larger-than-life feel it has. It’s one of the quintessential Against the Current songs.
8) BRIGHTER
“Brighter” is actually a re-work from the 2015 EP Gravity, so it’s one of the albums’ oldest songs. Like “In Our Bones,” it’s one of a kind, featuring a wistful piano arrangement that lingers through the song and gives it its emotion. It has “ballad” written all over it, and sounds a little more crisp than the 2015 recording.
Tumblr media
9) WASTELAND
“Wasteland” is an exploratory track – it’s wispy and mysterious and dreamy, and it’s one of the best on the album for it. The instruments ebb and flow, and Costanza goes over the verses smooth and calm, hitting the airy choruses before the song sort of explodes at the end. Fun fact: At shows, this is the song Costanza does her famous back bend during, which she used to do during “Infinity” back in the day.
10) BLOOD LIKE GASOLINE
If you read through the lyric booklet for In Our Bones with even the slightest bit of attention, you see Costanza rely heavily on the metaphor of fire (among other things), and nowhere is it stronger than this song. “Blood Like Gasoline” is lip-biting, a monument to the sultriness of volatile love, and the music matches the message: It’s chaotic and bumpy and dark.
Tumblr media
11) ROSES
So, “Roses” is seriously underrated. It’s toward the end of the album and didn’t get released as a single or anything like that, so it might be easy to gloss over on a casual first listen. But it’s easily one of the most emotional songs written by the band, and not just because it deals with love and loss honestly and raw. This is a Gow and Costanza superstar track, with Gow’s jingly melodies matching the emotion Costanza’s bleeding, fronted by an endearing guitar lead that takes your hand through the song. This song is a journey to listen to, and sometimes you want to hear it just to feel it.
12) DEMONS
“Demons” functions well as a closer –it’s wound down, but not so sleepy that you lose interest. Notably, this one features Costanza playing with her voice, being more conversational. She draws upon the dreamy, wonderland metaphors that are all around this album, calling up images of silk chains and soul toxins. Toward the end, she sings “I built this wonderland,” and that seems as much of a lyric in the story of the song as it is a calling card for her place on the album.
Tumblr media
If, for some reason, you’ve made it through this whole article but haven’t heard the album before, it’s a definite must-hear. In Our Bones was easily one of the top albums of 2016. It may take a few listens to get into, but you get an impressively diverse sound. Often, the genre of pop-rock gets jeered at for its homogeneity, but In Our Bones is a poster child for what good pop-rock is because it dances around the genre, unafraid to go off into its own territory for a while. Happy birthday to In Our Bones and here’s to the next one!

My Top 15 albums
Music to me is a stress relief. It is something that reflects your mood, no matter how you are feeling. It transports you back in time, almost as if you are living and breathing in a different generation. Music liberates you, its helps you connect with the cores and values that you have and continues to help you grow. Music gives you the fondest memories, is the soundtrack to your life and much of the reason why we connect with others on an intimate basis.
For me, a university student who is at the cusp of starting the next chapter of her life, music is an incredible escape from reality. Over the years, my knowledge and acceptance of music has allowed me to collate and enjoy many artists of many genres. On twitter and Tumblr, I asked what you guys would prefer for me to talk about, and my top 15 albums of all time came in at number one. Below, with much difficulty may I add, I have sought out my top 15 albums of all time!
1. INXS: Kick
Tumblr media
I honestly cannot fault this album in the slightest. INXS was such a powerhouse for Australian music and they bought our industry to the mainstream across the world. Michael Hutchence was such a prolific singer and songwriter, a true artist who could grasp the concept of emotion and reality and put it so well into a song. Kick was an album that kick-started (pardon the pun) the juggernaut, headed by the smash hit Never Tear Us Apart. This whole album from start to finish is pure genius, and honestly makes you feel like you’re on a never-ending roller coaster. If you have never listened to this album, you should.
Top 3 songs:
-Never Tear Us Apart
-Kick
-Need You Tonight
2. The Weeknd: House of Balloons
Tumblr media
Known to most of us by his stage name The Weeknd, Abel Tesfaye has become one of the biggest superstars in the world. From record breaking singles and albums to top collaborations with artists such as Daft Punk and Lana Del Ray, his discography has come a very long way since his first proper release- House of Balloons. Everyone seems to say that the first release is always the best and I will dispute that, but not in this case. Every album Abel has done has been so different and incredible, but something about House of Balloons stands out. The raw stumbling’s of drug abuse and sexual desires that he was singing about was something next level. Others had done it before him, but the way he produced this album was next level. It was a considerably short LP for the XO, only 50 minutes long. But it is enough to transport you back to his harsh Canadian upbringing and why he is like he is.
Top 3 songs:
-Wicked Games
-Coming Down
-High For This
3. Kendrick Lamar: To Pimp a Butterfly
Tumblr media
First thing I want to say about Kendrick and this masterpiece of an album was that HE WAS ROBBED ALBUM OF THE YEAR AT THE GRAMMYS!! Kendrick has always been very popular online- much like counterpart Chance The Rapper, and made his mainstream debut when this album- To Pimp A Butterfly, flew up the charts around the world. Along with doing the infamous festival circuit which include headlining iconic festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella and Australia’s very own Splendour in the Grass, To Pimp A Butterfly gained more traction. It brings to the surface all the issues that we as a society are too reluctant to talk about or see the truth about- racial tensions, the police brutality, the treatment of people of colour in general- especially women of colour and so much more. What elevated this album though for me was when Kendrick did a mash up of ‘The Blacker the Berry’ and ‘Alright’ with him being tied up in shackles singing behind a jail cell door. America at that time was in the grunt of the presidential campaign, making it even more dramatic and brought the album to a new audience.
Top 3 songs:
-The Blacker The Berry
-King Kunta
-These Walls
4. The Killers: Hot Fuss
Tumblr media
The Killers are one of those bands who continually fly under the radar but remain so popular. Having two older sisters with quite a big age gap between us, my introduction to The Killers was through them blasting this album in the car non-stop; but I didn’t mind that. Hot Fuss is the best debut album of any artist I have listened to. The Killers weren’t punk rock or rock and roll- they were alternate rock. It was good enough for the music geeks and to be played on top 40 radio. This album holds two of the catchiest choruses ever with the songs ‘Mr Brightside’ and ‘Somebody Told Me’. Every time I listen to Hot Fuss, it sparks a little flame inside me and I sing at the top of my lungs. Along with this, the lyrics to the songs on the album are absolutely phenomenal and from start to finish take you on a journey. There are tales of heartbreak and regret with ‘All These Things That I Have Done’ and ‘Jenny Was a Friend of Mine’, love and adulation with ‘Midnight Show’ and ‘Everything Will Be Alright’. This album is honestly timeless and no matter how old you are, is pure enjoyment.
Top 3 Songs:
-Smile Like You Mean It
-Midnight Show
-On Top
5. Coldplay: Viva la Vida
Tumblr media
I have been to a lot of concert, shows, gigs and festivals in my almost 23 years of life, and Coldplay has come out on top every time. Much like others on the list, their entire discography is something that I will listen to over and over and not get bored of it. Despite my favourite song of all time coming from their album X&Y (Fix You), Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, or the stadium stomper as it is known as by music geeks, is an album that cemented Coldplay a stadium tour status. The massive drum and guitar, as well as incorporating orchestra was the first of its kind that I had heard, and I fell in love with the album immediately. Chris Martin is one of my favourite singer/songwriters of all time, and his ability to take something usually so hectic and not usually incorporated into mainstream music and make it his own is something that I admire him for. What really made this album pop of course was the stadium vibe and the enormity of the sound.
Top 3 songs:
-Viva la Vida
-Cemeteries of London
-Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love
6. Rihanna: ANTI
Tumblr media
Robyn Rihanna Fenty is and always will be my woman crush. After doing 7 albums in 7 years, my babe Rihanna took about 3 years out of the spotlight to create her latest and most bold album to date- ANTI. There is something about the authentic of this album that puts this above the rest. Having that time off and going back to her Caribbean roots brought this album to the next level. The mix of her old-school reggae and more modern r’n’b, along with the improvement of her vocals along the way helped elevate it, but her bad girl persona did remain- especially with the inaugural song from the album ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’. The song ‘Work’, with rapper Drake, sent this album to elite status. It is fun and makes you feel like you can take on anyone and anything, and in contrast, will pull at your heart strings with songs such as Love on The Brain’. I am still upset that she did not tour Australia with the album, so thanks RiRi!
Top 3 songs:
-Love On The Brain
-Kiss It Better
-Woo
7. Fleetwood Mac: Rumours
Tumblr media
I have always known who Fleetwood Mac were, but I was introduced to this album only a short while ago. Stevie Nicks is an absolute boss. Fleetwood Mac became dominant at the time where social constructs were a lot different to how they are now. The fact that this album not only challenged music minds and records, but created the shift for social change as well. Artists like Madonna and Cindy Lauper were aided by the success of Stevie Nicks and the fact she was a main vocal in a genre dominated by white males. One of the reasons I love Rumours so much is because of the massive influence it had on the music industry. It also included the catchy songs like ‘Dreams’ and ‘Go Your Own Way’. Fleetwood Mac and especially Stevie Nicks are timeless and a once-in-a-generation artist who has as much influence as they did.
Top 3 Songs:
-Go Your Own Way
-You Make Loving Fun
-Oh Daddy
8. Michael Jackson: Thriller
Tumblr media
Carrying on from the influence of Stevie Nicks, there is no one better who broke down barriers in terms of race, gender and sexuality like Michael Jackson. There are so many of his albums to choose from, but Thriller is the one that I enjoy the most in terms of music. The title song caused so much controversy, and everyone thought with this controversy that Michael or the album wouldn’t be successful. Boy, people were wrong. After having filmed the first feature-length music video and being an African-American, there were bans put in place. Michael defied the odds and became and even bigger star. Some personal favourites, which I enjoy belting out during a boozy night out like ‘Wanna be Startin’ Something’, ‘Billie Jean’ and ‘Beat It’. Another reason why I love this album so much is that it produced one of the most iconic moments in pop culture- the introduction of the moonwalk at the Motown 25 special on May 16, 1983. And yes, I am still trying to perfect the move.
Top 3 Songs:
-Beat It
-Billie Jean
-Human Nature
9. Ed Sheeran: +
Tumblr media
Ed Sheeran is possibly the best singer/songwriter of the past 5 years. With his most recent album ‘Divide’ and the inaugural single ‘Shape of You’ breaking all kinds of streaming and charting records, it is no surprise that his music beforehand would be top-notch as well. Enter Ed’s first proper LP- Plus. This was such a raw album that spoke about Ed and the difficulties that surrounded him and other people, much like The Weeknd with House of Balloons. This album came into my life at a time where I was struggling, with songs like ‘The A Team’ and ‘Lego House’ indirectly playing with my emotions and opening a light to a lot of the problems that I was having. Ed toured this album twice, and his presence on stage reflects how people such as myself interpret the album as well. Oh, and I’ve also had the pleasure in meeting Ed and telling him how thankful I am for him!
Top 3 Songs:
-Small Bump
-Kiss Me
-Drunk
10. Beyoncé: Lemonade
Tumblr media
This would not be a top album countdown without the mention of the most famous women of the modern era. Beyoncé has delivered hit after hit. When her latest album Lemonade dropped, it caused hysteria of all sorts. She has been the campaigner of the visual album as well after her Beyoncé release, and Lemonade was no different. Much like Kendrick Lamar, who features on one of the standouts of the album ‘Freedom’, Beyoncé used her audio and visual platforms to seek out the injustice that is happening. She also includes her daughter, Blue, in a lot of them and it makes it that much more personalised. Her vocals are still red hot, as proven by hits ‘Formation’ and ‘Hold Up’, which now boasts the infamous bat and car scene. This album is honestly one in a million and I can never get bored of it!
Top 3 Songs:
-Freedom (feat Kendrick Lamar)
-All Night
-Hold Up
11. Maroon 5: Songs About Jane
Tumblr media
The first concert I ever went to centered around this album. Maroon 5 have been around for as long as I’ve been alive, and their music continues to adapt with pop culture. Adam Levine, the front man, was my first real celebrity crush, and this album did solidify that. Songs About Jane was a forefront in indie music at the time of its release, headed by She Will Be Loved and Sunday Morning. Their cover of Harder to Breathe and the inclusion This Love gives you Adam’s sensual voice right to your very core. the use of the guitar in this album is impeccable- in one song it will make you get up and dance when in the next it makes you feel like you could cry for days about your ex-lover. The lyrics and the execution of this album are timeless, and no matter what decade or era it is brought into, would be successful.
Top 3 Songs:
-She Will Be Loved
-Harder to Breathe
-Tangled
12. Taylor Swift: Red
Tumblr media
I feel like Taylor Swift has been around for every turning point in my life. 13-year-old me found out who she was through my love of the Jonas Brothers and her guitar-twanging smash Our Song. Through the country phase to what is her best album to date- pop alumni Red. This album, like many of her others, tells a story of love and heartbreak, but also celebrates having the right people in your life. ‘22’, one of the biggest selling singles by Taylor, is one of my favourite songs of all time. Despite being noted by a lot of people as ‘pop trash’, the significance of this song resonates with a lot of people. It is about being care-free and living your life to the fullest no matter what. ‘All Too Well’ and ‘Red’ talk about heartache and how love in all forms can manipulate you in so many ways. This album is raw and full of emotion, no matter the genre it is placed under. The Red Tour was also my favourite Taylor concert as well.
Top 3 Songs:
-State of Grace
-All Too Well
-22
13. Kanye West: 808’s and Heartbreak
Tumblr media
Say what you want about Yeezy, but he definitely knows his sound and his music. 808’s and Heartbreaks is an album that took Kanye out of the hip-hop world to the more mainstream. The mellowed down sound with the use of the heavy drop verberating in the chorus’ of most of these songs brought the genre and the album to another dimension. ‘Heartless’ and ‘Love Lockdown’, the two main singles from this work, are so well put together though the emotion elicited in Kanye while he is singing and rapping, as well as the tremendous loops in the beat. I have never witnessed music before or after this album that makes you want to get up and dance but cry your god damn eyes out at the same time. If you are one of those people who loves a continuous bop, this album is right up your alley.
Top 3 Songs:
-Love Lockdown
-Paranoid
-Say You Will
14.  Adele: 25
Tumblr media
What a woman. I don’t have enough words to describe the feel, emotion and powerhouse vocal that is Adele. Unless you were living under a rock over the past 18 months, her song ‘Hello’ was everywhere and definitely set the scene for the whole album. Adele is one of very few people who can stand on a stage with little to no movement around her and manage to captivate millions. Her amazing voice capitulates almost every other artist in the industry right now. Listening to ‘25’ is honestly an out of body experience every time you listen to a song.
Top 3 Songs:
-Send My Love (To Your New Lover)
-I Miss You
-Water Under the Bridge
15. One Direction: Midnight Memories
Tumblr media
This wouldn’t be a countdown without my absolute favourites of all time, right?! Midnight Memories by far is my favourite album from One Direction. They had a lot of song writing and production influence on this album, and it is very noticeable compared to their first two albums. The boys having that much influence on this album shone through, especially with the rock undertones and the sophisticated lyrics laced through all the songs. Alas, they did make this album with the fact that they were about to embark on a stadium tour, and this album is a massive stadium stomper. Harry, Liam and Zayn all shine vocally, whilst Niall and Louis’ songwriter impressed throughout the whole album. I honestly love this album with all my heart, and my eyes still water every time a song comes on because I miss One Direction so much. I am still bitter that I missed out on seeing this tour.
Top 3 Songs:
-Strong
-Happily
-Through the Dark
SPECIAL MENTION to Harry Styles and his new solo album, which would have been on the list if it was out already :P

Sinning Sunday Excitement - The Art of Touch
Read on AO3
Ginny looks at the name on the card she was given one more time, just to let it sink in - Michael Lawson, Certified Massage Therapist.
There's no way... that's not the Mike Lawson who played for the San Diego Padres, right? It couldn't be. Last she heard, he'd moved to a farm in Utah to raise Golden Retrievers or something, right after his knees blew out for the last time. He can't be a massage therapist now.
After Ginny's meteoric rise in the Cubs' organization, and after helping them win their first World Series in 108 years, she needs a little down time. Her shoulder is on the cusp of really starting to cause some problems, and her thighs have started aching a bit, too. The team doctor had recommended a massage therapist who specialized in athletes. Since he didn't mention that the man in question was a former baseball superstar, Ginny feels it's safe to assume that it's a different Mike Lawson.
Still, part of her wonders... and kind of honestly hopes that it's the same guy. The guy from the posters on her wall in her teenage years. The one whose rookie card she carries around in her wallet for good luck. Obviously she had a huge crush on him in her teenage years, but who didn't? He was one of the best baseball players on the planet, he was cute, he was friendly... what was not to like?
But it doesn't matter, because it's probably not the same guy. Ginny's luck just doesn't work that way.
When she gets to her appointment, Ginny waits in the lobby and tries to concentrate on anything but who may or may not touch her so intimately. She should have requested a female therapist, but... what can she say? She likes her massages with big, manly hands. Maybe she should be ashamed of that--since Ginny is obviously all about crushing gender stereotypes--but she mostly just chalks it up to knowing what she likes.
"Ginny? Come with me, please," the receptionist says, and Ginny nods and follows her down the hallway. Classical music is wafting through the hall, and candles are the only light illuminating her path. It's very soothing already, which Ginny appreciates. With the playoffs just around the corner, she's been so focused on being in peak physical shape. Sometimes all the workouts and practice with her coaches, well, it's so freakin' exhausting. She needs this today.
The receptionist leads Ginny to a massage room and knocks on the closed door. "Michael, your next appointment is here," she says, looking supremely bored.
"Send her in," a very deep voice says. Ginny's stomach does a sudden cartwheel.
"Have a lovely massage," the receptionist says, and marches back down the hallway, probably to make some moves on Words with Friends.
Ginny cautiously opens the door and tries very hard not to gasp when confronted with her therapist.
"Wow, it's... it's you," she says. She can't help herself. "Mike Lawson. I didn't think it would be--I mean--" Ginny runs out of gas as Mike looks at her, clearly amused by her nervousness.
"I could say the same thing," Mike says. "I didn't know the Ginny Baker was going to be my next appointment. You're a legend already, Rookie. It's because of you that the Cubbies finally won after so long."
Ginny actually giggles. How embarrassing. "Well, thanks, but I'm nothing compared to you yet. I can't believe our paths haven't crossed until now."
"Ah, well, I try to stay out of the spotlight these days," he says, and from his tone, Ginny knows there's more to the story than just some bad knees, but she knows better than to ask him about it.
Ginny wants to tell him about the rookie card, about the posters on her wall as a teenager, about watching with rapt attention every game he's ever played, but instead she gets herself together and plays it cool. Well, as cool as she can manage, anyway.
"You were such a bad ass," Ginny says. "I really enjoyed watching you play." She always hoped to be on the same team as Mike, but he retired a few years before she made it to the pros.
Mike laughs. "Thanks. You aren't so bad yourself. I must admit I'm disappointed I never got to be your catcher."
Ginny doesn't know what to say to that, so she giggles again. Ugh, this is a disaster.
"Anyway, how can I help you today? What areas do we need to focus on? Other than your shoulder, I'm assuming." Mike asks.
"My shoulder, yeah, it's been pretty sore lately. I store all my stress in my lower back, which has been aching more often lately. And my thighs sting pretty bad after workouts." Is she really talking to Mike Lawson about her thighs?
"Great, I'll take care of that. I see you added hot stones to the massage, is that right?"
Ginny nods. "Yeah, I heard it helps the tension, reduces swelling, all that good stuff."
"Yes, indeed it does. I'll leave the room for a second while you get undressed and slide under the sheet for me. I'll be back in a minute. Cool?"
"Cool," Ginny says, and Mike gives her a quick signature grin before leaving the room.
As Ginny undresses, she gives a second thought to this whole situation. Maybe she should just leave, make a quick escape. Maybe she should request another therapist. Because frankly. Ginny doesn't know if she can handle Mike's huge, soft hands on her body.
But she doesn't leave, of course. She's too intrigued to leave. She takes all of her clothes off and slides under the sheet. Moments later, Mike knocks on the door and says, "You ready?"
"Yep," Ginny says, and Mike enters the room. He turns on some new age music, and Ginny relaxes as she hears the soothing guitars and wind instruments.
They're both silent as Mike puts some lotion on her exposed back, and she can't help but gasp yet again when she feels his hands on her.
"You okay?" Mike asks softly.
"Yes! Just... I'm fine," Ginny whispers. "Please continue."
Massages are supposed to be relaxing, so Ginny focuses on doing just that. It doesn't matter who is touching her. She needs this. Except his hands on her skin feels just like she always imagined it, and it's awakening feelings in her she'd never dreamed of having. And he just started touching her! It's going to be a long 90 minutes.
"Does this feel okay?" Mike asks as he not-so-gently kneads her shoulder. Ginny groans instead of answering, because as a former ball player, he must know exactly what her problem is, and he focuses heavily on working out the muscle that aches the most. "I guess it is," Mike says, chuckling.
Ginny closes her eyes and melts into the moment. When Mike, gently at first, rubs a blazing hot stone down her neck, shoulders, and back, she moans a lot more than she means to. It just feels so damn amazing. Not only that, but she can feel the tension evaporating from her body. Oh, he's good at this. So good.
Eventually he covers her back with the sheet and moves on to her legs. He starts with her calves, massaging those spots she didn't even know were sore, and continues going up. When he reaches her upper thigh, warmth spreads through her entire body, and Ginny knows she's getting wet from his touch. Thankfully Mike doesn't--won't--know about that. Although Ginny suddenly wishes his hands would go further than her inner thighs.
"Is this where you're feeling sore?" Mike asks, interrupting her pervy chain of thought. "I feel some tension right in here."
"Yes, that's it," Ginny says, and moans as Mike works it out with his strong, warm hands. Oh, dear. Ginny doesn't know how she can withstand an hour more of this.
"You're so tense. I almost forgot how much this game can wear down the body," Mike says. "How long has it been since you've had a real massage?"
"Um... never," Ginny breathes. "Only sports massages. It's never... felt like this."
"Wow, I feel honored that I get to be the first one to touch you like this," Mike says, and Ginny is speechless. Did he really just say that? She is a mess of desire, lust, and frustration. When she gets home, she and her vibrator are going to have some work to do.
It may just be her imagination, but Mike's hands are getting closer and closer to where no legit massage therapist should be. But it feels so good and Ginny says nothing, because she wants his hands to go anywhere they want.
"Did you want a glute massage?" Mike asks, and Ginny can't help but laugh.
"That's a thing?" She asks.
"Yeah, I do it for my male clients all the time. Of course, they probably don't have as impressive glutes as you do."
Ginny laughs again. He's good. And yes, she wants that. A lot.
"Sure, go for it," Ginny says. Mike moves the sheet up to reveal her nice, tight ass. Ginny knows it's a good one--all those workouts and watching what she eats, for the most part, has certainly paid off.
Mike, gently at first, kneads her glutes. Then his hands go deeper and harder, and Ginny doesn't know what to do with herself. She knows he can at least feel the heat radiating from her. He has to know how badly she wants him to do something, anything, to make this massage more interesting.
When Mike is finished massaging her ass and sending her into a complete frenzy, he says, "Okay, why don't you turn over now."
He discreetly turns around as Ginny moves from her stomach to her back. Mike turns around before she puts the sheet back over her breasts, but he doesn't turn away. Ginny likes that he got a glimpse of the goods.
Mike starts with Ginny's feet, massaging her toes and her ankles.
"So how did you end up as a massage therapist, anyway?" She asks, trying to break the tension a little.
"Ah, well, my playing days are behind me and it didn't work out in broadcasting--I wanted to give more facts and they wanted me to just be a pretty face, so I decided to get into massage therapy for athletes. They always helped me when I was playing, so I thought it might be interesting to work on the other side."
"Oh, cool," Ginny says. "I never expected you to be my therapist. I was pleasantly surprised."
"Yeah? I work on a lot of athletes and never thought you'd come through that door. I was also pleasantly surprised. I've seen a lot of your games, you have something special."
Ginny smiles at him. Now that she can see Mike instead of staring at the floor, she's getting even more turned on. Not to mention the compliments are making her feel a certain kind of way, too.
"Thank you, I appreciate that. This massage is amazing, by the way. Wow."
Mike grins, and Ginny can't handle it. He's so hot. Oh-em-gee.
Mike works on her legs, going past her knees to her thighs, and then way, way up her thighs. Ginny gasps a little and hopes Mike doesn't notice. She closes her eyes, fantasizing about what she wants him to do versus what he is currently doing. He's stroking her inner thigh, working out the soreness, putting his whole attention on the area. Just when Ginny thinks she can't take it for another second, he takes his hands off her thighs and moves closer to her shoulders. Her eyes are still closed, but she can feel him staring at her. Ughhh. This is so unbearable!
He works the muscles in her shoulders and neck, and it hurts, but it feels so good to have such focused attention on the areas that hurt.
"Are you interested in a chest massage?" Ginny opens her eyes to see Mike looking down at her. What... is he asking, exactly? Never mind. She doesn't care.
"Yes, yes, I am," Ginny says.
"Great," Mike answers. Ginny's disappointed when he doesn't even move the sheet down and just works on her chest muscles. But... things start to get interesting when his hands start moving further and further down her chest. She inhales sharply as his hands reach under the sheet and touch her breasts, circling them, holding them in his hands. A finger softly and slowly grazes a nipple, and then retreats back. Again and again, Mike's hands are warm on her breasts, and she knows her nipples are hard as can be. This is more like it. This is what she wants--what she needs.
Mike can tell that Ginny approves of this activity, so he lowers the sheet more. She is now half naked from the waist up, and while part of her feels exposed, most of her wants his hands everywhere.
His hands continue stroking her breasts, and she bites her lip as he focuses attention on her nipples, rubbing his thumbs across them, sending electric shocks of desire deep into her groin.
"Do you like that?" Mike asks softly. "It's not usually part of the massage, but..."
"I like it," Ginny manages to answer. Mike nods, and continues. One hand is on her breast, the other travels down her stomach and back up, fingers and palms and burning hot lust. He's teasing her. He's teasing her and she knows he's teasing her and she likes it.
When Ginny thinks she's about to burst, Mike asks, "Would you like a groin massage?" Ginny is pleased to hear the heat in his voice. "I'd have to take the sheet completely off..."
"Yes," Ginny says quickly. She wants anything he has to give. He's the guy in her poster, on her rookie cards, on her television, and here, right now, he's touching her in ways she could only fantasize about.
Mike starts with the inner thigh but doesn't spend much time there. Soon, she feels his finger stroke her opening, and she grips the sheets as he continues his exploration.
"Wow," Mike says as a single finger slips inside of her, causing Ginny to bite her lip to keep from screaming. "You're really wet. Holy crap."
"Yeah? Well, that's your fault," Ginny says, and Mike laughs. He puts one hand back on her breast while the other one touches her clit. Ginny moans as he touches her, feeling the sensation of his fingers inside of her, of his thumb on her nipple. Mike gently opens her legs further apart, and sticks two fingers inside of her while his thumb strokes her clit. Ginny groans, and moans, and grunts, and can't believe how good it feels. No one has ever touched her like this.
Ginny is feeling bold. "Take your pants off," she demands of him, and Mike wastes no time. Ginny is pleased to discover that those rumors about Mike Lawson are true--he has a huge, aesthetically pleasing dick. She moves to her side and greedily puts her mouth around his dick, while he works his fingers in and out of her. This is not how she imagined her afternoon turning out. But she's glad it did.
After a long time of bringing each other to the brink and back, Mike moves to the front of the table and asks Ginny to open her legs. Soon, his tongue was lapping at her clit, two fingers inside of her, and she tries very, very hard not to scream with pleasure. They're still at the studio, not in her house, she tries to remember. His managers probably wouldn't approve of his massage style.
After Ginny comes so hard she almost passes out--Mike definitely knows how to use his tongue--Ginny asks, "How much weight can this table hold?"
"I've had 400 pound linemen on that thing," Mike says. "They weren't as fun to massage as you are."
Mike takes the hint and climbs on top of Ginny. It's a tiny table and there is barely room for them both, but that hardly matters as Ginny feels Mike slip inside of her. It's been a long time since she's had sex, and the sensation of Mike on top of her, huge cock inside of her warm and wet pussy, sends her into an immediate tailspin of heat. Mike touches her clit with his thumb as he pounds her, and not gently, either.
"Do you like that?" He asks Ginny, and Ginny says, "Oh, god, yes. Harder. Harder!" She's never said that to anyone, but Mike certainly knows what to do. His thrusts get harder and longer and Ginny has her first ever orgasm from intercourse. She didn't even think that was possible.
They switch positions a few times, with Mike standing and doing her doggy-style, grabbing her breasts, both of them sweaty and gross and brimming with sexual energy. When they're both nearing the end, she gets on top of him and loves looking at his face when he's about to come. He has a great face.
Mike pulls out and comes on her stomach, which is fine--kind of gross, but fine. He wipes it off and throws the towel in the dirty laundry basket. Ginny watches him, feeling like this is a dream and any minute now she'll wake up, frustrated and alone. But nope... Mike Lawson is still standing naked in front of her, and this really just happened.
"Well, that was..." Ginny says, and Mike nods. They both get dressed silently. Just as silently, Ginny goes to the door and is about to leave when Mike says, "So, same time next week?"
"Obviously," she says, already getting butterflies just anticipating what would happen.
"See you then," Mike says. "Oh, and I forgot to do this." He gives her a long, sexy kiss before releasing her. Of course he's a great kisser, why wouldn't he be?
She has no idea what kind of arrangement this is, but Ginny doesn't care. She just had the best sex of her life, and now she had an appointment to do it all again. Not only are her muscles feeling better than they had in a long time, but she was completely and utterly sexually satisfied, as well.
As she walks down the hall, her body still buzzing from what just happened to it, the receptionist asks, "Did you have a nice massage?"
"Hell yes," Ginny says, and walks out the door with a smile on her face.

WWE Extreme Rules 2017 Preview And Predictions
Tumblr media
Welcome one and all to my preview and predictions blog for this weekends "RAW" exclusive live special "Extreme Rules" This is a real mixed bag of a card. I think it's one of the stronger "RAW" cards this year, especially since the main event was perhaps thrown together a little due to the injury of Braun Strowman. As always if you have any comments or observations to make leave a comment below or follow me on social media by clicking one of the links on the right hand side of the page. The running order and pre show match has yet to be determined so I will talk about the matches in no particular order. 1. Rich Swann and Sasha Banks Vs. Noam Dar And Alicia Fox: This match, in my opinion, might be the pre show match. I feel that this match is beneficial to all involved as it allows all involved the exposure on a live special that they deserve. Noam Dar and Rich Swann has been pushed back from the forefront of "205 Live" in recent times; that's not to say that both men haven't been having a great series of matches with each other. I feel that these two are just on the cusp of doing big things in the "WWE" as both have engaging and entertaining characters. The "RAW" women's division has gone through a bit of a change since the "Superstar Shake Up" with Sasha Banks being pushed away from the main event picture. Whilst many think that would hurt her career a little, I feel that a change can allow for more aspects of a character to be exposed. Alicia Fox has also benefited from her recent storyline with Dar as this is her first match on a live special in recent memory. This match will be entertaining enough and I think that Banks and Swann will come out on top. 2. WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dean Ambrose (C) Vs. The Miz: the "RAW" championship dynamic is a little puzzling. Whilst the Universal Champion is AWOL I would think the logical thing to do was to push the Intercontinental Championship into the spotlight and making it a main event match in absence of the Universal Championship. "Smackdown Live" have done this with the US Championship even without the absence of the "WWE" championship by making Kevin Owens the Heel to beat. "RAW" has failed to do this, instead we are lumbered with yet another match in the Ambrose Vs. Miz series that seems to have dragged on. I feel that it has become a little stale and should have been injected with another opponent, Finn Balor or Bray Wyatt, to make it a little more interesting. The stipulation of this match makes it slightly more exciting, forcing the "Unstable" Dean Ambrose to follow the rules. However will this "Loose Canon" be able to cope ? not well but, I think when the refs back is turned he'll break those pesky rules to retain. 3. RAW Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Match: The Hardy Boyz (C) Vs. Sheamus And Cesaro: This match has been built incredibly well. I love Sheamus and Cesaro finally bonding as a team as bad guys who have been spoiling the Hardy Boyz return home. I would say that whilst it is early days for the heel run for "Shesaro" I would be tempted to make them more un likeable. I still love the team despite me being told I should hate them and they still get a great audience reaction. The Hardy Boyz have been having a great run since their return despite not being allowed to become "Broken" I feel this is probably the best for them as a team, however if rumour is to be believed, their run as a team may be short lived and singles runs may come sooner rather than later. Whilst it would be a shame to see this happen, I would more than welcome the ever entertaining "Version 1" or "Charismatic Enigma" gimmicks return. I think we may see a title change with "Shesaro" starting their second run as "Raw" tag team champions. 4. WWE Cruiserweight Championship Submission Match: Neville (C) Vs. Austin Aries: To say that both of these men are having the best runs of their "WWE" careers would be an understatement. Neville has completely reinvented himself since his return from injury less than a year ago. I feel he was the key player that "205 Live" was missing from the beginning; an already established WWE Superstar" that could help build a brand new, seemingly tailor made, division. the same could be said for Austin Aries. I was extremely excited when Aries entered the "WWE" as I felt that he was under utilised and under valued in his final run in "Impact Wrestling". The one risk I feel with these two is that their constant series of matches may become a little stale. I would think that this series of matches may come to an end this Sunday with Aries finally getting the "WWE" Cruiserweight Championship. I think the "Submission" match rules suit both as Neville has done incredibly well changing his style since his return, allowing for a more methodical approach separating himself from the assumed style of the Crusierweight Division. 5. RAW Women's Championship Kendo Stick On A Pole Match: Alexa Bliss (C) Vs Bayley: I get that "Extreme Rules" is the order of the day but, why does "WWE" feel the need to make what could be one of the matches of the night a silly "WCW" style gimmick match ? Alexa Bliss and Bayley have really benefited from being given more time and exposure on "RAW" recently. It's no secret that I feel that the "Women's Revolution" has done incredible things for all of the women in the "WWE" however, Alexa Bliss has done a great job going from the forgettable nice girl to one of the best heels on "RAW" injecting a sarcasm into her bad girl character. I feel a little sorry for Bayley. She has been sold to the "WWE" audience as a female version of 1980's Hulk Hogan, child friendly and just so detestably happy. The way the match has been sold it is make or break for Bayley. Given the write writing she could prove there is more to her character this Sunday by becoming extreme. With that being said I fully expect Alexa to retain as I don't see "WWE" ending her popular run just yet. 6. Fatal 5 Way Extreme Rules Match: Seth Rollins Vs. Roman Reigns Vs. Bray Wyatt Vs. Finn Balor Vs. Samoa Joe: Being sold as the match that could "Change the New Era Forever" is a tall order but, if any match could do such a thing it's this one. With the unfortunate injury of Braun Strowman the audience has been given an "all star game" of a main event. It really is hard to pick a winner for this one as all of the men involved have their up sides, even Roman Reigns. The build for this match has been done incredibly well despite the little time given to the changing plans for Reigns Vs. Strowman. This match is a number one contenders match that I am more excited for than the outcome, I think it's a terrible idea to have a champion that is only around part time. I appreciate that this is probably an unpopular opinion but, I don't care. I think as a fan I would like to see Bray Wyatt come out on top and I feel that he would be able to give Brockkkkk the best match. As always thanks for reading and enjoy "Extreme Rule"
