Things which I love in MB 2013, which were not present in canon

The characterization of Yudhishthira. He comes off as a pos to me in the texts, but the show one? He is everything. He is a good and caring brother, who makes some very bad decisions. He is concerned for his family, and he loves his brothers a LOT.

The love bromance triangle between Karna, Duryodhan and Ashwatthama

Arjun and Subhadra's meeting. It was cuteeeeee

Also Arjun and Krishna's first meeting. IK It didn't happen as per canon, but ngl, it was dope

The twins getting the screentime they deserve. Plus the different personalities all the Pandavas had.

Shakuni. He was a mix of a clown and a villain, and even if it seemed off in some places, I liked it.

The mini gita gyaan Krishna gave to Bhishma, Drona and Karna before their deaths. Informative. A gr8 way to tell the audience where these characters went wrong according to the series of events in the show. Yet ppl defend them.

Abhimanyu's intro + Arjun and Abhimanyu's first meeting. The timeline is a bit off, seeing how Abhimanyu is supposed to be 13 according to the show, but he can't have a kid when he is 13, no? Arjun's meeting with him after 13 years isn't described, and I wish it was.

Draupadi's pledge of not tying her hair till she washes it with Dushasana's blood. Not present in canon, but it was a good addition (done by almost all versions of Mahabharat on screen.)

Arjun flying into a rage on the night of Abhimanyu's death. In canon, he faints, and swears to kill Jayadratha, and mysteriously, still has no ill feelings towards the other ppl who were actually involved in the killing of his son. In the show, even when he mourns Drona's death, Arjun does show anger towards him on the 13th night, and other subsequent days, which is realistic.

Balarama. The show did justice to him in the minor screentime he got.

- he knows Donnie can really keep anybody busy in his lab so

- splinter forces Leo to watch Soaps with him since he’s the only turtle not doing anything during this whole movie & for some “bonding”

- drives Leo mad but he’s too nice to tell his father so he politely sits next to him but inside he really wants to throw the whole tv away

- Donnie distracts April but lowkey bores her to death but she’s too nice to tell Donnie to stop so she just sits there in idle mode

- he also sucks at keeping secrets so he has to keep the Casey proposing secret to himself without accidentally telling her

- she figuratively beats it out of him

- it ends with Casey proposing and April making it seem like Donnie didn’t just tell her against his own will

I honestly don’t see any action scenes happening LMAO

hi this is my personal rant on the 2003 Korean horror film, A Tale of Two Sisters, i just wanted 2 get this out of my system & scream a little in2 the tumblr void. if u haven’t watched this film, i highly recommend u do so if u like horror, it’s just a gr8 film which luckily does not rely on jumpscares most of the runtime. not only is it scary & mysterious, it has a rather depressing conclusion. personally, among other emotions i always feel empty after watching the film (prbly cuz of the story) but after recently rewatching it i realised it was another facet of the movie which led 2 my feelings of empty dread & misery; i am so utterly jealous of the relationship between the two sisters. 2 give some contxt, i hv a sister who is older than me by 12 years thus we were never able 2 foster a close relationship when i was younger, she barely stayed @ home w me & my parents (among other things) so i grew up feeling like an only child. i’d like 2 pause 4 a moment & b clear that i am aware i am talking frm a point of privilege, my life is fine & i am talking abt the sisters’ relationship ONLY, not other aspects of their lives. i also wanna make it clear that my sister is not dead in case my rant is too vague (yea seems dumb but i’m paranoid & i h8 risks) so basically, i feel sad 2 not hv a relationship like SuMi & SuYeon, ig that makes the film & actors even more impressive when u think abt it, they portrayed such a loving & authentic sisterly relationship that i cld feel genuinely miserable thinking abt it, i miss my big sister when thinking abt it. in a sense, ig i’m also like SuMi in the film, wondering of what the relationship w my sister cld’ve been if things in life had gone a little different. well that’s it, guess all i can say is don’t take me too srsly, yes ik i’m emo & uhhh smth smth listen 2 the opening track of the film Lullaby on yt, i swear u won’t regret it cuz it’s beautiful & makes me wanna bawl my eyes out (think ghibli but consistently depressing) if u’ve read until the end, ty ig (?) idk y u wld care 2 read this even after the TLDR but i hope 2 hv mayb given u some amusement, a new film 2 watch etc. :]

first up, Sarah Finklestein DEIGNED to make an appearance. What did she do? Immediately seen picking a fight with Tanya Tiwari. I can only assume the conversation went like this:

and then as midnight struck and everyone started to transform into the most ghoulish versions of themselves, laurette crawled out from the White Girl Wasted Lagoon so she could berate Phineas. but what ever could she have been upset about...?

There was a little note and a small box the size of an altoid tin with a  paintbrush with a thick hollow handle and a cap on Rus' homeroom desk when he returned from his most recent class period. On the outer fold of the note was a doodle of a rose. Inside it read:

"Hi Rus!

Not sure if you remember me all that well, but I wanted to say thanks again for helping me on my first day in the school. Transferring in mid-year is bad enough, but getting lost repeatedly on your first day is even worse and your map sketch you made of the school was a life saver for me.

I saw you outside sketching one day through the window during my English class and thought you'd like this. It's a mini watercolor set! I don't know if you water color but I thought it was pretty cool and travel friendly. You can even fill up the brush with water so no extra cups or anything needed. ^-^

I'd hoped to ask you in person but it seems none of our classes line up and I can never seem to catch you after school, so here's my number if you'd ever like to hang out sometime.

After the scrawled phone number there a couple parts underneath written in pencil vs the pen above that looked like it'd been added in a hurry as though someone had been caught by the bell (which she had) and was rushed to add in the limited space left on the paper.

"P.S. I just noticed other gifts and notes on others desks as I was dropping this off and realized what day it was. So um... Happy Valentine's day Rus."

Rus wasn't one for valentine's day, being obligated to be lovey for the day didn't sit right with him. A couple of cards had gathered on his desk when he got there a little later then he should have, he pushes most of them into his desk draw to never be seen again, but a little paint set, that caught his eye.

He actually read your note and a little smile grew on his face. He'd remembered you, of course, you were so lost he just had to help, and tbh he was pretty proud of that sketch. The fact Valentine's was an afterthought, no it hadn't even crossed your mind and it was complete coincidence you gave him this today? It was nice, it meant this gift was actually spontaneous and thoughtful.

Later that day you spotted Rus in his usual doodle spot during your English class, and you could swear he was using the paint set.

If you weren't feeling bubbly enough by now, you noticed something in your locker later. A little piece of folded... sketchbook paper?

You turn it over, the front had a beautiful rose on it, amazingly painted in hues of yellow, red and pink. A signature scribbled in the corner that you recognise from how he out of habit added it to the map.

Of course I remember you, I'm glad I could help. Thx a bunch for the paints, it's really thoughtful. I've played with watercolour a little before but my set is definitely not suitable for travel XD so thx, it's really gr8 and amazing quality. I'll text you l8r or something but here's my No. so you know who's texting, cuz I mean I'd probably freak out if I didn't know so yeah. And like feel free to message if you need help with anything.

HERE IT IS IN ALL ITS GLORY (ILY BLU DON’T KILL ME):

It was just another normal day in the Shame Dango ToG Challenge Discord server. Well, as normal as it could be on any given day since August (it seemed, by then, everyone had realized just how stupid they all could be and decided to share so with unrestrained glee).

The usual cursed conversations were abound: Ashe was swearing to anyone who would listen to him that no, he was not a Koon kin (No one believed him. “Who could,” Xan pointed out, “When you have a knife, dyed your hair blue, refer to yourself with respect to Koon 24/7, and share the initials AA?”); Dango was eating more of their socks even though everyone told them it was a health hazard; AJ and Elvira were trying to convert everyone to their UwU cult; Salsa and Apol were sipping drinks and observing the chaos; Digi was contentedly in Discord Jail, participating in whatever affairs suited her fancy at the moment; Xan was bursting into tears at everyone’s antics; and Blu was writing another one of her famed Weather Reports.

(This is really long, so I’m putting the rest below :P)

Possibly the only sane people in the server were Rose, Soh and Crys, the latter two who had both wisely decided to make themselves scarce (At least, concerning the conversations. They could have just as likely been lurking about and none of the others would have been any wiser; granted, they were possibly a group of all idiots anyway). The newcomers, however, were not as wise or as lucky. Pia, Maddie, and Estrey soon found themselves bombarded on all sides with nonsense and shenanigans and lots of inside jokes that no one could comprehend (”WHY does everyone have 500+ eyes???” ”WHO is George???” “WHAT is Khunnut??” Both of the latter, amusingly enough, came from Ashe, so perhaps he was to blame for the constant mischief). Yet, the new kids, to Xan’s chagrin, were just as eager to partake in the insufferable antics as the veteran members. The server became awash with a multitude of eyes and UwU’s.

As such, the day proceeded as it always did. The chaos started in the morning over at the EST side (Plus Maddie, who somehow was up and running at 8 am every day, a sharp contrast to every other PST kid in the server. How she does it remains a mystery). After the scheduled morning chats, the server slowly died down until the times AJ, Blu, and Ashe were free.

On this particular day, Blu was minding her own business in her channel, as she was wont to do. Her current obsession was with ATLA (It seemed Sherlock had been cast aside so readily); she had breezed through all the ATLA comics and was now agitatedly awaiting something new (”Oh, please,” said Xan, “TLOK exists.”). The topic of comics eventually led Blu to comment on how “LITTY AF” it would be if her lectures could also be in comic form. At Blu’s choice of words, Xan decided to pop in.

“Blu thinks ‘litty’ is gr9,” said Xan, sighing resignedly.

Elvira agreed with Blu’s sentiment, though she added, “Even though I personally hate the ‘gr9′ thing.”

“Bruh, it’s gr8, but better,” Blu insisted, insulted. Her opinion fell on deaf ears as both Xan and Elvira proceeded to mock it.

“We might as well use 8r8,” said Xan, shaking her head in disappointment. “It’s like gr8, but 8r8.”

“9r8,” said Elvira, maintaining the inane line of progression. “Or 9r9.”

“Oh god,” said Blu, horrified. “Y’all tainted my gr9.”

“’You tainted my gr9′ but gr9 is tainted gr8 ,” Elvira countered.

“hEY we don't talk about that, Elvira,” said Blu. “I simply upgraded gr8.”

“Does two negatives make a positive??” Xan asked. “Does this mean we untainted it??”

“NO!” yelled Blu in distress. “I OBJECT.”

“High five, Elvira,” Xan said delightedly. “Bullying Blu in her own channel.”

“ hEY,” Blu protested. “H E Y.”

“This is why Blu screams,” Elvira said knowingly.

Xan nodded solemnly. “She skweams.”

“Bwu skweams,” corrected Elvira.

“IWEIUOUTAUIWEOAIGOS. NO. NO. WE ARE NOT DOING THIS AGAIN,” Blu cried. “Gr9 > owo-fied language!!!”

In a stroke of genius, Elvira said, “Can I owofy gr9? Gw9?”

Blu bursted into tears and decided to give up on life, and this conversation.

“Don’t be wike that Bwu UwU,” said Elvira, who then proceeded to use the fake R2D2 BB8 bot to give Blu a hug.

“Hwug,” said Elvira.

“H8g?” said Xan, catching on quickly.

“H89,” Elvira suggested.

Xan paused. “...989?”

There was a moment of silence.

“I’m gonna 989 Bwu,” Elvira announced.

“No.” Blu said the only word she seemed capable of at the moment.

“You reject our 989s?” Xan pouted.

“Take my 989 Bwu, dang it ;-;,” Elvira pleaded.

At that moment, Apol decided to make her existence known. “Oh?”

Blu had a sinking feeling, knowing Apol’s reputation for catastrophe and persistence. “Don’t you dare 989 me!”

But it was too late. Apol was an unstoppable force of nature once she got started. A hurricane of 989 memes exploded into existence.

“989 for everyone!” Xan and Elvira declared, and that was that.

Suffice to say, Blu had to re-evaluate her life afterwards.
