Khalise awoke to the soft morning light shining through the curtains. She stretched and lazily embraced the comfort of her bed, until she felt her lover’s body nestled against her back, sending a wave of excitement throughout her body.

The warmth of Hikaru’s skin on hers stirred a fire inside her heart. With a smile on her lips, she rolled to face her and opened her eyes, only to find her own gaze already burning into hers.

“Morning,” she greeted her with a smile, and she immediately returned her smile, flashing one of those rare, playful ones that always gave her butterflies.

“Good morning,” Hikaru murmured back as she gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face. Her touch was like electric shocks jolting through her senses, sending her into a heavenly haze.

“What has put that look on your face?” She tilted her head at her, both curious and amused.

She suddenly felt shy as she found herself unable to meet her gaze. She didn’t usually get weak-kneed like this but her enthusiasm seemed to pierce through her and stir up some unknown emotion.

“I want you to be my first,” she blurted out finally, and it felt like she was releasing all the secrets she’d been keeping locked in her heart since the day they met.

She seemed to recognize the significance of those words – there was something else burning in her gaze now, something that matched the intense desire she felt for her.

“I want you to be my first, too.” She smiled, and with that, they sealed their unspoken, mutual longing into something unbreakable.

From then on, they’d experience life together, hand in hand, and Khalise was never happier. This was what she wanted – the two of them, together, forever.

Chapter 6 (Part 2):

Madoka helped Harumi get up as she gently laid Seira's head in her lap. " Why did you let go of my hand? Do you know how worried I was!" Torodoki signed while talking trying not to yell worried and agitated as he looked at Harumi's knees that were bleeding. Madoka handed Shibaman her water bottle, disinfecting ointment and bandages from her bag as he handed the water bottle to Torodoki who poured water on it Jinkawa handed his clean handkerchief to him as he wiped it gently. Shibaman crouched down as he applied the bandage to the wounds. " Who are these men?" Tsuji said looking at the men who were knocked out on the ground. " They were trying to catch me! This kind Ni-chan there saved me." Harumi signed to Torodoki pointing at where Seira was. Torodoki told them what Harumi said as they all looked at Seira who was semi-conscious. Fujio and Sachio walked up to where Madako and the girl were" Miss? Are you okay?" Fujio asked concerned crouching down as he tried to look at her face in the darkness. Seira was breathing hard as she looked at Fujio and then at Sachio who was holding his phone with the flashlight on, their eyes widened at the amount of blood coming out of her mouth. Arata who was just behind him recognised Seria immediately. " Seira-san!?" Arata exclaimed taken aback and concerned as he stood there looking at Seira. Seira looked at Arata and smiled her bloody teeth showing a bit." Oh? Arata? Good, you're here. My bike keys are in my bag. Get me home not anywhere else because I am about to pass out." Seira said as she felt her eyes closed and fainted." Arata, you know her?" Tsuji asked as the rest looked at him " Yes. She is the main founder of the HOPE organisation I work for."Arata revealed to the group as they all looked at him wide-eyed. " Masaya, isn't that the girl whose flower studio we completed yesterday?" Shinya said softly to his brother who had a serious face as he nodded in agreement. " We have her address so I think we should leave at once without any delay." said Madoka, her eyes filled with worry looking at everyone holding on to the handkerchief on Seria's bleeding forehead. Fujio nodded in agreement "Yes let's not waste any more time." he said as he picked up Seira's bag "Shoji, find out who these guys are and why they were after Harumi." he commanded, his words soft but laced with intensity. Shoji nodded solemnly and dragged one of the unconscious men away, determined to uncover the truth. Sachio turned to the others, "I'll drive the car. Let's take her in that." he said, fishing the car keys out of his pocket. Masaya carefully scooped up Seira, cradling her in his arms like a bride. "Who'll take her bike?" Odajimia asked who had picked Harumi up in his arms. "I'll take it, along with Shida, and follow you guys." Jinkawa replied, already moving to retrieve the bike. With a shared sense of purpose, the group quickly departed the Daruma territory, leaving the night's revelry behind. Little did they know, this was just the beginning of the chaos that would soon engulf the lives of SWORD and the entire town of Toarushi, forever altering the course of their destinies.

Shattered Reflections

is a 2006 South Korean coming-of-age drama film written and directed by Jeong Jae-eun. The film follows the story of a man (Sol Kyung-gu) that, after 15 years ago of leaving his pregnant girlfriend behind, returns to Jeonju to bond with his teenage daughter (NARA). A movie that reflects parenthood, NARA’s character deals with real and imaginary memories that fill in the gaps and expectations of a man she didn’t know. 

Despite the box office failure and the negative reaction of the audience, who deemed the film too “boring”, it was nominated for an awards ceremony recognizing the achievements of Korean independent and low-budget films - the forerunner of the Wildflower Film Awards. They didn’t win anything, but it is a really outstanding memory for Nara. 

In the midst of the pandemic, some critics revisited the film and classified it as a “cult ahead of its time”. 

Attack on the Pin-Up Boys

is a 2007 Korean high school mystery comedy film, and is the first film produced by SM Pictures, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment. The film stars all members of the boy band Super Junior, with the exception of Kyuhyun who was injured and still recovering from a car accident on 19 April 2007. The story centres around a series of attacks on popular high school students that occurred on the 14th of each month. Some students — Kibum and Donghae — decide to investigate the incidents and find the culprit, while some targeted students, Heechul and Kangin, try to bait the culprit into attacking them so as to raise their popularity. 

Nara act as a popular girl both Heechul and Kangin want to ask out. 

School 5

is a 2008 South Korean television series starring NARA, Kim Kibum, Park Gyuri, Yuri and Song Joongki . It’s the fifith installment of KBS’s School series wich aired on KBS2 from November 31, 2008 to January 25, 2009. The drama is centered around high school students who not only have to deal with school tasks but will also have to face the problems that come with being a youth; such as first love, friendship, career prospects and bullying. The series has been noted for launching the careers of rookie actors.

Karigurashi no Arietti (Arietty)

is a 2010 Japanese animated fantasy film directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi as his feature film debut as a director, animated by Studio Ghibli. The korean dubbing stars the voice of NARA from Super Junior and tells the story of a young Borrower (Shida) befriending a human boy (Kamiki), while trying to avoid being detected by the other humans.

Rites of Passage 

is a korean college mystery-drama series that aired on KBS2 from March 21 to May 24, 2012 on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Starring NARA (from Super Junior) and Im Siwan (from ZE:A), the story follows two college students in their first year of University that discovers a cult inside the campus and decide to investigate. 

NARA has tried to bring a deeper meaning to the drama saying it’s about growing up because “a teenager will always need all the hope the world can give them, because they have just lost the fantasy of childhood and are preparing for adulthood, it’s an allegory”, but the critics didn’t agree with her view and tought the whole series was just shallow (the audience didn’t like it too).

Sabbatical Serenade

is a korean musical comedy-drama television series that premiered in May 11, 2023, on MBC and ended on August 24, 2023. The series was created, written and directed by NARA and Shindong and stars NARA in the lead role as Yeo-Eun, a burned out lyricist who decided to leave her enterntainment company to take a sabbatical year. However, when ordinary people start singing in line at the market, the protagonist suspects that she may be experiencing serious mental problems. 

It was qualified as a R rated series because of the frank portayal of alcoholism, female sexuality and health (such as period and menopause), mental illness, divorce and the entertainment industry. Each episode contains three to five original songs. These are usually sung by Yeo-Eun (NARA) or a character with whom she is having a direct interaction, parodying the musical theater conceit of characters bursting into song at significant moments in the plot. 

The show divided critical opinions. 

It received some critical acclaim, with critics praising the show’s writing, musical numbers, NARA’s performance and Shindong direction. It nailed every music genre it explored and brought to light a eccentric commentary on human relationships with a highly profane but surprisingly poignant dramedy, not ashamed to talk about these issues. The show received some awards and have 97% on rotten tomatoes. 

On the other hand, some said it was overly exagerated and had “no values”. The sex jokes were overbearing and all of it was too progressive, not something MBC needed to have in their schedule. They commented that some things “are taboo becase they need to be” and attacked NARA’s appearences saying she was fat — addressed numerous in the show itself when the character is having depressive thoughts or when her mother says it — and ugly without makeup — semiotic choice made by the actress itself to show how normal people are. 

Although NARA, Shindong and the show itself received some hate from knetizen, it trended every week and broke the audience record in MBC. All of Korea was watching, whether to speak well or badly. 

A lot of actors were newly debuted from small companies, because she needed people to sing, dance, act and that weren’t super famous — both because of the budget and because of the theme, knowing a lot of them would reject to avoid tarnishing their careers if the show went badly. Yet, people loved some cameos such as Heo Kyung-hwan, Park Narae, Min Kyung Hoo, Lee Dong-gun and Kim Kibum.

Some HONEYs have 30 minute to hour long analysis on why the show is a masterpiece; is a show that knows it can do more than entertain, it can communicate. Brought the mental illness discussion to spotlight and explained NARA’s hiatus in 2016 with the phrase “she had to walk away from the thing she loved because it was tearing her to pieces”. It’s a personal opening to inside her mind, a portrait of a real person. 

— some watchers became HONEYs because of the show, completely enamoured by NARA’s range of vocals, rapping, dance, acting, songwriting skills, ideas and courage.

Crimson Crescendo

is a 2026 South Korean psychological horror thriller film directed by Park Chan-wook, who co-wrote the script with Chung Chung-hoon. The film follows the story of a dance coach (NARA) of a korean entertainment company that kidnaps a trainee (Kim Shi-Ah) wanting to quit idol life in the verge of debuting. With a claustrophobic composition, the cinematography seeks to discuss kpop industry problems, objectification of women, criminology in South Korea, sexual crimes and maternal issues. Lee Dongwook also appears as NARA’s character husband, with a sadistic-atrocious personality.

It’s a NC-17 rated film and displayed trigger warnings in promotions for scenes of torture and cruelty. It had had multiple guardianship council visits on the set to observe the treatment of the child, who needed to be assisted by a preparation team with child psychologists, intimacy directors and other necessary staff. It didn’t had any violations or irregularities regarding the treatment of actors. 

The film received critical acclaim and is considered a classic despite it’s recent release. When in Cannes, one of the judges said “powerful film not because of what it depicts, but because of the depths of the human heart which it strips bare, every action makes a statement and has a purpose” while the Korean media claimed “it isn't for everyone, but it offers a breath of fresh air to anyone gasping on the fumes of too many traditional dramas.” The film's white-knuckle scenes, particularly the training “i want to look” and Dongwook’s character death, also received commendation for their impressive execution. 

Sources said that NARA didn't have to audition and was chosen by the director himself after her performance in Sabbatical Serenade, completely fond of her ability to be real.  Before the release, some hater-fans debated on why she didn’t have to audition but Dongwook did, discrediting her acting skills. Still, she received numerous indications at Baeksang Arts Awards, Blue Dragon Awards, Asia-Pacific Film Festival, Grand Bell Awards, Korean Film Awards, Cannes Festival and others, as main actress. Kim Shi-Ah and Dongwook also received a lot of praise and nominations as supporting actors.

An apparent 17 year old girl in Teru's class who's existed for many many centuries, being the curator of the so called 'akarinashi soba' and holding the lantern with her often. Can change her appearance to look any age. She is terrified of Teru and mostly close to Mitsuki and friendly with Sakura. She writes down the rumours she hears on a notebook and mostly keeps silent.

A 14 year old ghost who died 20 years ago because his mother killed his father after he had an affair with another woman, which Mitsuki ended up walking in on and was murdered alongside his dad. Sticking around the school rooftop because he has a rumour around him saying that if you find him you're lucky, but he tries to avoid everyone even if they can't see him. Only close to Yaso and is scared or Kou and other exorcists.

18 year old kamone high school student and part time exorcist. Comes from the Yosuke clan, a clan that has been close to the Minamotos since the heian period. Childhood friends with Teru, has a little brother and loves to eat. She has hated her work for as long as she has lived and has made a promise with Teru that when they cam they'll live a normal life like any other. Mostly sweet but has a knack for insulting people creatively.

A 13 year old boy whos part of the student council and left the photography club after Mitsuba, who was his friend, died. He's Soraya's younger brother and looks up to her, but is unable to be as strong as her because of his low spiritual power. He can use seals tho. He hangs out mostly with Kou, Yooko, Satou and Kiyomi, but also with Akane and Teru in the student council.

14 year old boy who works as a part time exorcist ever since his dad had to go to the north for work. His mother is an abusive person both physical and emotional but he thinks that she only wants what's best for him and wants to make her happy. Friends with Kou, Sahono, Furite and maybe Teru. He says he hates all supernaturals but couldn't bring himself to exorcise Furite as he was already hurt from Tsukasa, Sahono calls him a hypocrite for that. He's mostly a cold person and struggles to be friendly, though he means well.

A young fox spirit around Hanako's time who Tsukasa used to lure supernaturals to create Mitsuba's body using his limbs. Since Furite is a young kitsune he can regenerate whole limbs, has no hatred towards anyone and thinks everyone has reasons and can be forgiven. Friends with Kiyomi, Sahono and friendly with everyone he talks to, never holds grudges. He's naïve and not very bright, just like a pet.

A 15 year old girl in Nene's class, she comes from a family of shrine maidens and priests with a lot of spiritual power. Her mother died during birth from an apparent curse and Sahono blames herself for it. She's violent and rude, beats up people and acts full of herself but is somewhat kind to her few friends. She immensely hates Teru and Mitsuba, and makes fun of Nene a lot. She used to have a crush on Kou up until the severance, where her and another girl got very close and started dating.

14 year old girl in Kou's class, a happy go lucky girl who just wants to be remembered and liked for who she is. She has a strange obsession with supernaturals and wants to see them even if she's a normal human. Forces Kou to tell her all about supernaturals and has a superficial crush on Teru. She's the closest to Aito and Nagaeki as anyone else could be and almost treats them like parents.

A 16 year old boy in Nene's class with exorcist blood. His parents had no spiritual energy so they distanced themselves from the exorcist life and Aito resents them and other exorcists for that, he wishes he could use his power for something. Is very protective of Juna and hates the Minamotos and the Yosukes more than anything. His exorcist power allows him to get stronger and be able to tollerate more physical damage than normal.

16 year old boy forced to dress like a girl because of his parents dissapontment over having a boy. Struggles with suicidal thoughts and summoned Hanako to ask him to make him dissapear. Will die soon, so thats why he can see supernaturals. He's defensive and distant, doesn't have friends and gets bullied often, worsening his mental state. Close to Juna and Aito and Hanako likes to annoy him.

A young supernatural of 15 years who is on love with Nene, jealous of anyone around her and will do anything for her. She is a nudibranchi Who can shapeshift into a human and can change her colours very fast but is always with light blue hair and yellow eyes. She is desperate for Nene's approval and wants to date her. She is usually sweet and with shiny eyes but has a habit of glaring at people near Nene, though she isn't strong enough to do something about it.

A corpse who got possessed by two ghosts and messed up the memory of her life. Acting like a zombie, she is under the care of a foster family and goes to kamone as a 'differently able' student but is actually just a corpse with consciousness. not much luck in her undead life. ( i never draw her help)

Aito𓏼 𓈒 ⸝⸝Doesn't feel the need to become and exorcist to prove his worth and hasn't had as many love problems as the original.

Nagaeki𓏼 𓈒 ⸝⸝The one with the biggest changes. He doesn't live with his parents but his grandparents who renamed him Inosuke. He isn't as miseravle as the original and won't die. His appearance changes too, he wears his assigned gendered uniform with a vest on top and a long sleeved shirt under it, he doesn't have bruises and isn't blind from his right eye anymore. He has his natural hair colour and it's shorter.

These are the BSD ocs I drew a while back in these posts here, here, and here. I'm finally going to introduce them - they are both named for famous haiku poets (two of the 4 Ts!).

Takajo Mitsuhashi

Ability: Fern Hell/Shida Jigoku - A passive ability with an active component. Passively, she has a connection to what may or may not be a kind of life force - she can sense the presence of every individual, making her near impossible to sneak up on. Throttling the connection between person and life force either denotes a strange effect on their ability, or can shut down their life functions and kill them.

Birth Date: January 24th

Height: 162 cm

Weight: 116 lb

Blood Type: AB

Likes: Abstract art, meditation, cicadas

Dislikes: Restrictions, too much noise

Additional notes: Unused to feeling strong emotions, but is far from expressionless in intonation - she tends to be polite yet laid back and mildly cocky, especially when poking holes at authority/She was formerly an assassin/She also has the capacity to barely feel any pain and keep moving, even from deep injuries. This is not an ability. It's implied she trained to be able to do this./Becomes fascinated by Yosano and regularly observes her and her choices/Cannot understand why Takako doesn't think she's cool and then feels frustrated that this upsets her.

Takako Hashimoto

Ability: The Red Thread/Beniito - Allows the creation of a thin red thread, which, when connected with an object or person, acts as a rope to allow her to pull objects closer or drag them. Connections to people sometimes involve her gaining flashes of their emotional state and core desires.

Additional notes: Born to comfortable wealth but has since given that up for unknown reasons/Sociable and empathetic but rarely talks about herself/Has an unfortunate tendency to throw herself into danger without thinking it through, much to Takajo's frustration/Tends to fangirl over people she thinks are cool, like Agent Hisajo/Thinks Takajo is one of the coolest people she's met but pretends she doesn't think so out of embarrassment of admitting that. This leads to childish spats.

They are part of a story involving Takajo attempting to find a powerful ability user-made artifact. Takako is the only one who can locate it, and therefore, they strike a deal to work together. They conflict with an offshoot of the Special Division, which essentially blackmails the girls into helping them find it and store it securely - but both girls are in agreement that the artifact needs to be destroyed (the one thing they do reliably agree on).

Though at first they are only working together out of a shared goal, they eventually come to care about one another deeply.
