The Tellius bracket qualifier! Starts December 29th at 3pm EST

Here's how it's going to work:

There are going to be 14 qualifying polls (ten for the men, four for the women)

Pick your most bangable favorite from each poll

Special Notes:

I have no idea what to do with Devdan/Danved. They say they aren't the same character, but they kind of are, but they have different names. So are they palette swaps, or are they the same character with a different name and a palette swap? I would usually just exclude them, but they're playable so that feels like it should hold more weight. And then I was like. Screw it we'll just put both on there whatever.

There are some characters who, for spoiler purposes, technically have two different names and/or portraits. For simplicity sake I just picked one portrait/name to use for them.

All characters use their Radiant Dawn appearances (where applicable). Assume the characters are Radiant Dawn age and appearance if they appear there.

*I have played the Tellius games, but I haven't seen absolutely everything. I'm doing my best here. If there's a character on here who you think should be excluded just shoot me an ask or something with your reasoning and we can DQ them if necessary. Please actually send me an ask or DM with actual reasoning, don't just leave a snarky comment with no details and expect me to know what you expect to see.

11. Favorite Trial (Sun/Moon)

Since this is talking about the original Sun/Moon- I really enjoyed Mallow's trial! The simplicity of it, but also going out in nature to gather ingredients and lure out a Pokemon,, it just seems like the most fun trial.

NAME.   Rhys (Meaning: enthusiasm) NICKNAME(S).  Professor, Rhysie (by his parents and uncle when he was little), pretty boy (thanks Shinon) ALIAS(ES).  n/a he’s a square AGE.   27 SPECIES.   Beorc ZODIAC.   Capricorn GEMSTONE.   Garnet MORAL ALIGNMENT.   Neutral Good ABILITIES / POWERS.   White/Faith magic, first aid, Reason/anima magic, some botany like enough to make vulneraries and harvest herbs INTERESTS.  Flying, he always dreamed about flying and loves to fly. He’s a priest first and foremost so he’s also be default interested in religion and his hobby is praying so there you go. He also likes to sing, and I always headcanoned that his mother taught him how to bake with her when he was stuck indoors so much. FEARS.  Not being good enough. Not pulling his own weight. Thinking about Lucinas.  I don’t know why, I’m just in a Lucina mood right now.

The first build is something I already kinda have, but in budget.  I haven’t given her any of the listed skills, but it’s the same Bond stacking premise with Renewal in B for budget healing.  With Bond stacking, especially with Bond 4 that prevents reductions in those stats, damage reduction is super valuable.  And effective +11 speed is really good.  Spurn is probably optimal, and I figure Joint Drive Attack from M!Kris makes the most of his fodder.  There’s probably justification for a different Bond that keeps stacking speed, but I feel like added defenses are also important overall, but it’s the most flexible aspect and I like rounded stats, so that’s fine.

Brave Lucina probably never needs fully merged since she’s support, but also since she’s the Forma unit, I’m looking for these skills.  I might take Sturdy Stance 3 if I can find it, just because I have Mirror Stance fodder I never use, and I will never fodder a Spring Idunn for anything.  If my dancers are any indication, I like having support units with a fighting role, so I do think the Lull is best to limit the damage she takes, and keep speed control.  Everything’s just supposed to be support focused, but I like the idea of having benefits to her damage, and a good melee combat presence.

Legendary Lucina, I think, is still really good.  Solid speed tier, decent weapon effect, being a fast ranged unit is always a blessing, and the new Deadeye skill is just a delight on all ends.  Time’s Pulse is a great option to take from Shinon, though admittedly Lull Attack/Speed also has value for her.  I just like the Link skill for added stats, because Future Vision is still just fantastic as an assist skill.

I’ll probably be unable to get any of these even remotely close to +10.  Brave is getting passed over for sure, and Legendary I may try a bit depending on when her next rerun is.  But I do want to try for base Lucina, who I do like a lot, and has shown up often enough to be a decent consideration.  Mostly, I want to get the fodder on them.  I just need to make some decisions about Shinon.

Non-armour casual wear headcanons!

Ór — once I read somewhere that Hunters should be Hoodie People because, well, hoods (as well as the tummy pocket to hide knives in), and I haven’t known peace since. She is a hoodie person, bonus points if it’s an oversized, comfy hoodie she has fonds memories attached to, thick enough that she can sleep in it in her hideout in the rafters without a blanket. She likes to be tucked in from all sides generally, so turtlenecks are her casual go-to basically through entire winter, something she woefully had to give up for the period of her neck wound healing. Doesn’t really wear dresses or skirts (hard to climb vertical surfaces in them) but for more *fancy* excursions she has a few nice jackets. If she’s wearing her hoodie, the hood is on 90% of the time, and Runi resides in the tummy pocket (next to a set of knives). The only shoes she ever wears are thigh-high laced up boots, but she does walk around the Tower barefoot or in socks a lot.

Julianna — dresses! boho shirts with puffy sleeves! floor-length woollen skirts! cardigans! basically anything as far removed from Combat Gear as possible. she’s made a home on the bridge between indie and dark academia aesthetically speaking.

Yilwran — smart, but not too fancy as to be impractical. Probably some nice jeans and a plaid shirt, hair washed and neatly brushed. Strong cologne. Julianna is The little sister, so she constantly tries to convince him to let her play around with his hair, and on the rare instances that he does assent he ends up with some crazy coiffure including at least four braids.

Evie — she resides in the Tower for most of her time now, but she still sticks with something armour-resembling. It’s usually some light Hunter chestpiece and leather leggins, combat boots and a cloak because of Hunterz Master Class pride, particularly for Consensus meetings. On the rare days off she hops into tracksuit pants and some comfortable t-shirt or whatever, probably with some meme about being the Young Wolf printed on it.

The Seeker — I’m sorry but he just wears his ragged, ugly robes that smell like dirt 365 days round.

Shinon — high heels, always, sometimes knee-length suede boots. A coat (suede, long). Smart casual suit that makes her look like a Sexy Businesswoman. White collared shirts. Broches and bracelets. Unconfirmed but highly probable she goes out for patrol in the same outfit.

Cyle — these loose white plain t-shirts and not so terribly worn tracksuit pants, sneakers. She just likes to dress comfortably and be ready for anything the weather might throw at her. Always with a tourist backpack pack with essential items, including a torch burner.

Sword Art Online Alicization Eps 1「Anime vs Light Novel」

Apa yang ada dan apa yang tidak ada. Dalam beberapa minggu ke depan, aku akan membuat rangkuman-rangkuman ringan tentang perebedaan antara Light Novel dan Anime Sword Art Online season 3, Alicization Arc.

Ada banyak yang kurang. Setelah rampung episode satu, itulah yang pertama kali terpikirkan. Ada banyak detailing yang tidak disebutkan. Jadi kusarankan bagi kalian pecinta serinya, akan lebih baik jika kalian membaca Light Novelnya dulu, baru menonton animenya. Kalian akan bisa mendapatkan lebih banyak pencerahan. Sebab banyak perspektif dari masing-masing karakter yang luput di anime nya.

Seperti yang kalian tahu, penceritaan dari SAO lebih dominan menggunakan kata ganti orang pertama. Kau akan lebih mengenal Kirito dan Eugeo melalui bagaimana cara mereka berpikir hingga kemudian bertindak.

Stacia Window

Oke, kita mulai dari penebangan Gigas Cedar. Apa kalian melihat simbol S di anime nya? Biasanya itu disebut Status. Tapi di Underworld, itu bernama Stacia Window. Mungkin belum disebutkan, tapi kurasa akan disebut di episode-episode selanjutnya. (Dan benar, telah disebut di episode 2)

Di anime tidak ada penjelasan lebih lanjut mengenai Stacia Window. Baiklah, Akan kupaparkan sedikit. Setiap item bisa dilihat Windownya, Status atau statistiknya. Tapi beda hal dengan Gigas Cedar, agak sulit untuk membuka Stat nya. Orang bahkan menyebutnya dengan Evil Tree. Dah ditebang selama 300 tahun tapi seperempatnya aja belum kesampaian. Bahkan Kirito dan Eugeo baru bisa melihat Stat dari Gigas Cedar setengah tahun yang lalu.

Kirito, Eugeo, dan Alice sekarang berumur 11 tahun. Itu berarti mereka (Kirito dan Eugou) baru bisa open Stat dari Gigas Cedar saat berumur 10 lebih setengah tahun.

Manusia juga bisa dilihat Stat nya, tapi rasanya agak mengerikan dan kurang pantas mengetahui status hidup atau life durability seseorang.

Ada juga suatu cerita dimana ada seorang sepuh Sacred Art di Capital Centoria mencoba membuka Stat dari tanah/bumi (Terraria) dengan melakukan ritual selama tujuh hari tujuh malam. Ia berhasil. Namun Setelahnya, ia menjadi depresi, edan kemudian menghilang.

Perjalanan menuju Mountain Range at the Edge

Dalam perjalanannya dijelaskan bahwa Alice adalah anak yang berbakat. Pernah suatu ketika bocah-bocah latihan berpedang, disitu Alice menunjukkan kemahirannya dan mengalahkan Kirito dan Eugeo. Ia juga mengalahkan anak laki-laki lain.

Eugeo bermimpi menjadi swordsman, tapi melihat kenyataan yang ada, itu adalah hal yang sangat mustahil. Sebab secara logis, Sacred Task nya ga akan selesai dalam waktu dekat.

Sebetulnya di Light Novelnya disebutkan bahwa Kirito, Eugeo, dan Alice tidak menyangka jika Mountain Range at the Edge letaknya tidak cukup jauh. Dan perjalanan itu cuma memakan waktu empat jam. Dan sebelum memasuki gua, mereka memakan bekal makan siang dahulu.

Sekilas sesaat mereka masuk, sebelum Alice mengeluarkan setangkai ilalang. Kirito dan Eugeo teringat sesuatu. Mereka lupa membawa lampu sebagai penerangan untuk memasuki gua. Akan tetapi di animenya, itu tidak disebutkan.

Ada perbedaan yang sangat mendasar di adegan dalam gua ketika tangan Alice menyentuh sedikit bagian dari Dark Territory. Suasana di light Novelnya lebih mencekam ketimbang yang ada di anime.

Penangkapan Alice

Ketika Alice hendak dibawa oleh Dseuolbert, di Light Novelnya tidak sebutkan bahwa ada pertanda System Alert muncul di mata Eugeo.

Gun Gale Online

Tidak ada scene pertarungan bersama di GGO. Itu adalah filler tambahan dari studio A-1 Pictures. Kejadian sebenarnya dimulai langsung di Dicey Café. Shinon telah membuat janji dengan Kirito. Pendek kata ia mengajak Kirito untuk bergabung dengannya di BoB kelima, sebab ada musuh yang ga bisa ia kalahkan. Dan solusinya adalah irregular player seperti Kirito.

Asuna pun juga diundang Shinon tanpa sepengetahuan Kirito.

Sebagai informasi tambahan, Asuna belum mengkonversikan avatar karakternya ke GGO.

Café Agil (Dicey Cafe)

Hampir semua dialog Agil di cut. Ia cuma memainkan dua kali, itu pun one line dialog aja. Cukup merasa kasihan sih, meski cuma filler, Klein, Lizbeth, dan Silica mempunyai porsi dialog yang lebih banyak.

Tidak disebutkan di anime bahwa Kirito tidak makan dan tidak minum selama tiga hari, tetapi cuma tidur aja untuk part-time job nya. Dan ga ada pembahasan tentang Augma (Ordinal Scale) sama sekali di Light Novelnya.

Musuh yang hendak dilawan Shinon adalah player yang mengerikan. Ia bermain dengan tangan kosong. Yang ia lakukan hanya merampas senjata dari musuh-musuhnya kemudian menggunakannya untuk menghabisi lawannya.

Ada penjelasan yang sangat mendetail di Light Novelnya tentang apa itu Fluctlight. Kirito pun dengan perlahan menjelaskan kepada Asuna dan Shinon. Dengan mencontohkan sebuah gelas ke Shinon. Kirito memegang sebuah gelas, dan di saat yang sama itu juga ada di dalam Fluctlight nya Shinon atau katakanlah kesadarannya Shinon.

Sinyal dari retina mata Shinon berubah menjadi objek gelas yang ada di dalam kesadaran Shinon. Kemudian Kirito menutup atau menghalangi pandangan mata Shinon dari gelas. Lalu apa yang terjadi? Tentu saja gelas itu tak lagi terlihat, tapi Shinon masih punya gambaran tentang bagaimana gelas tersebut, warnanya, isi dalam gelasnya dan lain-lain. Fluctlight is dealing with memory, but whose memories?

Sebenarnya penjelasannya sangat panjang dan menarik. Tapi aku mengalami kesusahan dalam menyarikan tulisan mengenai hal tersebut. Bacalah Light Novelnya, jika ingin tahu jelasnya.

Medicuboid yang pernah disebut di akhir season dua, itu adalah prototype dari arsitektur Soul Translator.

Ada peluncuran buku All Records of SAO Incidents. Buku tersebut juga dah diterjemahkan dan telah terbit di Amerika. Tampil sebagai Black Swordsman, Kirito juga mendapatkan royalti dari terbitnya buku tersebut.

Chit chat nya udahan. Mereka bertiga keluar café. Jika di animenya Kirito yang berhenti sebentar karena ada sesuatu yang aneh dan janggal. Maka di Light Novel Shinon yang melakukannya. Saat itu ia merasa ada seorang sniper yang sedang mengawasinya. Tapi Kirito emang menyadarinya juga sebenarnya.

Perjalanan Pulang Mengantar Asuna

Light Novel; Kayaba bunuh diri menggunakan prototype original dari Soul Translator.

Jhonny black menemukan café nya Agil lima bulan yang lalu, dan dia dah mantau café tersebut selama sebulan.

Kirito meminta Asuna meminta bantuan. Ia lari sambil berteriak meminta pertolongan. Ketika dah nyampe separuh jalan, ia mendengar suara. Ia berbalik dan terlihat dua orang telah ambruk, yang satu payung kirito nancep di paha Jonny Black. Dan Kirito ketusuk racun Death Gun.

Di Light Novel nya agak di dramatisir. Sesaat setelah perkelahian, ambulan datang. Kirito dibawa masuk ambulan dan mengalami penanganan oleh perawat. Pertama, gagal pernafasan/respiratory failure. Kirito terinjeksi succynychloline, detak jantung semakin melemah, lalu detak jantung berhenti. Suara dari perawat yang tegas, “keep compressing!”.

Aku tak tahu pasti apakah itu cuma dikompres pake dorongan tangan, atau dengan alat gelombang kejut.

Kemudian monitor menunjukkan angka nol.
