The moment Hitoshi wakes up and realizes that its raining, he already knows he's not doing shit that day

And you aren't either

If you wake up and try getting out of bed, Hitoshi will hold you against him in a vice grip

Do NOT try to get up because it only gets tighter from there

Once you both start to get hungry, he'll order some breakfast

And thats when you both get up

You'll go about your normal morning routine while you wait, maybe even have a cup of tea/coffee (because those orders take an eternity)

Chapter 30 - Weird but good

You woke up well rested and... oh My GOD! TOSHI WILL BE HERE ANY MINUTE!!!

You ring the bell and the fox nurse comes to you. "Hi Hun! I would say good morning, but it's afternoon already, so! How can I help?"

"My friend will be here to visit me! Can you help me sit up and look a little less like I need face reconstruction?" You turn your head to her.

The fox nurse nods and helps you sit up "Here, use a brush to tame that wild hair of yours" she hands you a hairbrush "You need to eat too" she helps you sit up, which is hurting less than the last time.

"Hey! And the sweet you are owing me? You still didn't give me" You frown and her.

"Oh! I had forgotten, sorry, but sure! I will get it from the vending machine that we have on the cafeteria" Fox nurse goes to the door and stops "Please do brush your hair"

You sigh and start to brush "Yes ma'am"

Shinso didn't arrive, you had spent the day looking at the door and then at your cellphone.

Keigo called you on his break and texted you when he could, but Shinso only send one saying that he would be late.

'At lest he warned me, and he is training to be a pro hero, I can't be angry at him'

You hear hurried steps from the hallway, not a full run. 'Keigo arrived earlier than I expected...' but when you look at the door to say hi to your brother, you are surprised to see Hitoshi almost out of breath on your door.

"Sorry I.... was... going to... come earlier but-!" he said between breaths.

"Stop" You interrupt him and pointed to the chair next to your bed "Sit and take a breath, then you can explain"

Hitoshi huffed but obeyed you.

While he calmed his respiration you got back to your cellphone, where you went back to talking to Tokoyami about his internship.

The silence was comfortable, like always was when you were with him.

Hitoshi was the first to break it "I look happy, are you talking with your brother?"

"Nope, Tokoyami is telling me about his internship, it looks fun! Eijiro also was sending me messages earlier, but now he is busy with patrol and stuff, looks like another student from 1B also picked that hero" you looked at him and was surprised to see him frowning while looking at your phone.

"You have a lot of male friends don't you?" his hand went to the back of his neck like always.

You took a few seconds to answer, but then it hit you like a basketball.

"Toshi... are you- ARE YOU JEALOUS!?" you blushed HARD

'Does Toshi like me too!?' you looked at his face which now was just as red as yours.

"W-WHAT!? I-I... well... yes? I-" he took a deep breath and thought about it carefully "Yes, I am jealous"

Purple eyes peer into your (e/c) colored ones, you didn't expect this, he was blunt about it, you thought that he would be evasive or straight out say no to you but... he didn't.

"Is it-... Is it bad if I say that I liked that you were jealous?" Your eyes went back to your cellphone.

You heard him taking a deep breath and then his hand was on top of the screen of your cellphone.

"No, actually it would be very, very good, that you liked it." You looked at him again, he was much closer than before.

He got a little closer, and you got a little closer too, until your noses were touching one another. You could smell a minty touch on his breath, you prayed that your breath wasn't unpleasant.

You closed your eyes and took the risk to close the distance, your lips touched, lightly pressing against one another, it wasn't fireworks, and it definitely wasn't like the movies and books made it sound like, it was weird, good, but weird.

The feeling of pure happiness was overbearing, your heartbeat on the machine was very fast, but he quickly pulled away when you both heard someone fake coughing at the door.

The fox nurse at the door pointed to her wrist where a clock was "Sorry for disturbing the sweet moment but... the visitation hours are over, now only her guardian can stay."

Both with a red face nodded and Shinso got up, but before he went out he gave you a sweet little kiss on your cheek. "See you tomorrow, I will call you as soon as I get home" he spoke firmly

You nodded, and watched as he walked out of the room.

"You two look cute together" she said then she put a chocolate bar with 70%cacau on your lap and left you alone.

You were too dazzled to notice anything other than Toshi leaving.

the music blasted on the big speakers your classmate kaminari got from present mic, the class 3-a got permission to make a party for all the third courses of u.a., so of course the dorms were a little cramped with people dancing and kissing.

you walked as fast as possible trying to get yourself water from the kitchen, only to find shinsou hitoshi kissing a girl in your own dorm kitchen. that was funny, you thought, it was all happening after you declared your love for him outside of the dorms, hours before the actual party.

you got confidence to commit such action from ochako, she did her best to support you and your feelings for the mind controller guy. you got confidence to put on a pretty outfit and confess all your repressed feelings for him.

“so yeah, i like you a lot, i know we are friend right now but i feel we could be more, y’know? i think you’re great and maybe we could be good together...” you rambled.

he seemed to care, really, he listened everything you had to say and then proceeded to make you think you had actually a chance to be together.

did he care about you? not really, he was a fuckboy after all.

so you walked away from the kitchen, ignoring the stares from the girl and shinsou himself. you didn’t cry, he wasn’t worth it, right?

Shinso Hitoshi X Reader part 25

Class was delayed the next morning. Police were all over interviewing people on campus. The word spread and it was worse than what Shinso could ever thought. The trio went to Y/n’s place after the entire rematch drama. When they got to Y/n’s something was off her parents weren’t home. Upon investigating there was a stranger in the home. He told the students they could give Y/n up or die. 

They chose to fight, but there were enemies lurking. Sonny tried using her quirk and blew her legs out. Y/n was able to knock one of the men out, but she ended up with a concussion. Benny had scraps and scrapes. He needed stitches, but thanks to him, he was able to carry both his friends out of the house to safety. Y/n’s parents on the other hand were being held by someone. 

Motive was clear. A criminal group was looking for a healer. What didn’t make sense was who released this information. Where she lived, her quirk, who would want to hurt her? Benny and Sonny were off the suspicious list since they were both injured. 

“Is the home school trip gonna be okay?” Mina asked Aizawa in the middle of class.

“The three of them are in stable condition right now.”  Aizawa said.

He wasn’t sure honestly. He didn’t like the idea of villains going after a healer, and showed it was perfect for them. She would have Been too weak to fight, after her retreat and getting burned from Bakugo. If she didn’t have her friends with her, who knows what would happen. Would they even release her parents for getting the target, or would they make them suffer.

After training Mina was able to get the hospital the three were at. It wasn’t hard to find since Sonny had been texting Mina. She said she was bored as hell since she couldn’t walk. Her legs were hurt from using her quirk a little too hard and her star healer was…

“I don’t actually know about Y/n’s condition.” Sonny told the trio. “Benny came in a while ago, but he has to stay the night because they’re unsure if he has a concussion or not. I know Y/n does, but the cops have also been up her butt all day.”

“We heard the story was the attackers were originally trying to kidnap Y/n, and use her parents as hostages. Why would anyone do that just to secure a healer?” Mina asked.

“She’s a valuable asset.” Sonny sighed.

“Do her parents have healing quirks? Why not kidnap them?” Denki asked.

Sonny actually smiled, it was a little funny after getting the shit beat out of her to hear that.

“No, (nickname) had a healing mutation. Her dad can have things float around him while her mom can harden her skin in tiny amounts. Her father was skeptical when her quirk was developing. They did a paternity test to find out she really was his kid.” Sonny explained.

“Oh, thats rough.” Denki said.

“It was what it was. They can’t complain too much since their daughter was always going to have job security.”

The police were interviewing who would do this, who had access to all the information, a family friend, a business competitor, her parents weren’t shy about bragging about their daughter it seemed. Which only made the pressure worse for Y/n. The funny thing about healers is they can’t consciously heal themselves. They can do a minimal amount in their sleep, but it’s something her parents were trying to make her learn. Once they learned their daughter’s healings abilities went past closing wounds, but releasing tension headaches, going deeper than skin, they thought there was more to be done. It was never enough. (Full name) would be the best healer the world has ever seen. That’s like the best case scenario. 

“You think we could go check on her?” Shinso asked Sonny. 

Sonny tensed up at that question. She knew Y/n would love visitors that weren’t police down her throat, blaming her for her parents getting kidnapped, but it also meant someone taking her spot in Y/n’s life.

“Yeah, probably. Just tell them you’re friends with her.” Sonny sighed. 

“I can stay with you here!” Mina offered. 

Denki gave Shinso a smug looked and a nudge.

“I’ll stay here too, I don’t often get to be blesssed by Sonny’s radiating beauty.” Denki announced

“I’m gay.” Sonny said.

“I didn’t say we needed to fall in love, I was just calling you beautiful.” Denki said, giving Shinso a chance to be alone with Y/n.

And Shinso took it. He made his way towards the reception desk to find a different blond already there...holding a vase full of flowers. 

“Why are you here? Aren’t you a little loud for the patients? They already probably have burst ear drums.” Shinso asked.

“Shut it eye bags.” Bakugo growled.

“What are those?”

“Are you blind dipshit? They’re flowers.”

“Don’t tell me you’re-“

“My mom is making me. Aizawa emailed her letting her know that I’m just a nuance.” Bakugo said. 

They weren’t roses, but Shinso still knew to be on guard. 

“She’ll like them. She had a bad night, not just because of you.” Shinso said.

“Oh fuck off. Why haven’t you seen her yet?” 

“I saw Sonny first.” Shinso answered. 

The door was shut where Y/n was staying. Since Bakugo’s hands were full, Shinso knocked and heard no answer. There wasn’t any talking behind the door so Bakugo glared saying to just open it anyway. However this did not reveal a sleeping beauty. Instead they found a stripped bed and an open window. Shinsou rushed to the window to find Y/n was still climbing down. She was in casual clothes, but still had a bandaged face.

“Y/n!” Shinso yelled down.

The girl looked up straight up red handed. 

“What?” She yelled back up.

“What are you doing?!”

Bakugo went to the window.

“What the hell are you doing dumb ass!?” Bakugo yelled.

“What does it look like!” She yelled back up. 

Bakugo’s eyebrow twitched. Shinso began to run down the stairs as Bakugo blasted himself out of the window. Not wanting to get caught, she slide down her rope sheets faster and dropped to the ground. Instead of running she did more of a power walk. Bakugo landed and started rushing beside her.

“What the hell are you doing?” He asked again.

“I don’t have time for this.”

“Tell me what the hell is going on?” Bakugo got angrier.

“My parents got kidnapped because of me.” She growled.

“Why aren’t you going to the police or anyone else about this? You’re still hurt.” Bakugo grabbed her by her injured wrist which made her hiss in pain. “Sorry!” He let go. 

“Listen, I gotta did this on my own. Too many people are already involved and have gotten hurt.” Y/n explained.

“You’re gonna give yourself up?” Bakugo snarled. “That’s the last thing anyone wants!”

“I’m not giving myself up.” Y/n said. “I’m gonna rescue my parents, myself.”

“You have a concussion.”

“I got out of a four story window.”

Shinso finally made it to them. Y/n went back to walking as Bakugo caught Shinso up to speed of Y/n’s very poor plan.

“See really is messed up because anyone with half a brain would know that’s a terrible plan!” Bakugo yelled

“Wait do you know who kidnapped your parents?” Shinso asked.

“Yeah…” she said, clearly not going to tell.

“Use your fucking messed up quirk on her.” Bakugo commanded. “Well tell them police and they’ll fix it.”

There was no way in hell Shinso was doing that. 

“Did they send you a ransom note?” Shinso the detective asked. 

“Yeah.”

So she knew where she was going.

“If you two are going to follow me all the way there, you might as well help.” She sighed.

“You have to tell us what we’re up against before we agree to shit.” Bakugo said. 

“I don’t know why you're up against if I’m being honest. I don’t think the main guy is gonna be there.”

“Then why the hell are we going there?” Bakugo asked.

“Are you sure your parents are at this location?” Shinso asked. 

“I’m not sure.” Y/n said beginning to realize the holes in her plan. “But I’m sure with you’re help we’ll be able to get information we need.”

She stopped in front of a tall abandoned building. Y/n guided them inside like she had been there so many times before. It was dusty, full of rubble. The pillars were wore down, and bits of sun light seeped through the cracks. They climbed stars covered in ash. 

“Just stay back until it doesn’t sound good.” She whispered before they left the stair way.

deaf!Bakugo and sound quirks

Bakugo’s hearing impairment gives him an advantage over voice-activated quirks.  

For example:  Shin Nemoto’s Confession quirk doesn’t work on him (unless he were to speak close enough and loud enough for Bakugo to catch the question with his less shitty good ear).  If Bakugo catches enough of the question to register that it is a question, he will be compelled to respond... but if he heard the question wrong this will give some bizarre results.

Hitoshi Shinso’s Brainwashing quirk also doesn’t work well on Bakugo.  Even if Bakugo responds, so long as he didn’t hear Shinso’s original comment the quirk won’t take hold.  And then if he somehow does hear the original comment and responds, he still has to hear the command Shinso gives him in order to act on it.  If he mishears the command he will not act on it--but the conflicting effects of the quirk urging him to do something while not having the information of what to do gives Bakugo enough freedom to act and snap himself out of the quirk’s control.

If Bakugo has sufficient warning that a villain/opponent has a voice-activated quirk he’ll just turn off his hearing aids and put said opponent in the dirt.

Unfortunately he is not immune to Present Mic’s quirk as it is physically damaging to people’s eardrums.  If he were to fight Present Mic, he would turn off his hearing aids and use his noise-cancelling support devices to lessen the effect but without those, his hearing would probably be damaged badly enough for him to go completely deaf.  Knowing this, he takes necessary precautions whenever he and Red Riot team up with Present Mic.
