Emmet would totally not get why the Hunting Guild is so terrified of the Black Dragons, especially Fatalis. He'd look at it and think he's an oversized shiny charizard. And considering how popular that line is in Kanto, you can bet he's faced his fair share of Charizards

Emmet being completely unafraid of "classic" boss monsters because in his mind, they're a really big pokemon. Pokemon that don't fight fair, but can be still *outwitted*.

Emmet, fumbling a pokedex/hunter guide: "Verrry interesting! You look to be similar to a Heatran recorded in northern Sinnoh! Although your proportions and enviroment suggest otherwise."

Akantor, the size of a building: *revs up to cause a volcanic earthquake*

I feel like Emmet does pause when he sees certain monsters. Notably ones like Astalos and the Soulseeker Mizutsune - ones that look a bit too similar to Unovan Legendaries.

He's also doesn't have a deathwish. If he recognises a threat as being "off the tracks", then he has no shame in Abandoning the Quest or using sneaky tactics to wear down his threat.

Eelektross is pretty amazing for hanging onto monsters weak to Thunder-damage. And ofc Galvantula is a genius for crafting combo-Pitfall/Thunder traps with her webs. Durant and Excadrill are also helpful in creating foxholes or pitfalls mid-battle.

Emmet does make sure his team are nice and healthy. He doesn't understand why he has to be finished after 60 mins... it's curry picnic time :3

Ok so here is my plan for my dex collectathon!

Play Black2 first for: - Breeding for female Pansage ( Again ) and hunt out two female Darumaka. - Check to see if I havent caught Tornadus, so that I can obtain that one to make into a Therain form to move to my dex. - Seek out a male Stunfisk and then a male Karrablast to trade towards my Black 1 to evo trade ( Seek out Shelmet first, if I dont have one already in box )

Play Pokemon Violet next for: - Seek out two female Chikorita, one for Bayleef and other for Meganium. Same goes for Froakie but to get all three for full female evo-line. - Run around to try to find a Kingdra raid den and hope that it is male. - Specifically look for an orange Flabebe. - Go to the sea for a female Clawizer. - Go get both Yellow and Red Oricorio males. Look on the map to seek out their locations. - If it is dusk time, immediately pop a Rock type sandwich and go towards Lycanroc Dusk location for both genders. - Pop a Water-type sandwich for the other Paldean Tauros form. - Catch a male Finizen and seek out a friend to help me evolve real quickly ( As I will need to be in a Union square for it ) - Only pop a Normal type Sandwich to find Dudunsparce only, to find 3-segments of both gender. - Go near the League to catch Maushold and pray to Arceus that one of them evolves into a Family of 3! - Get 8 Blueberry, 7 Strawberry, 9 Love, 9 Star, 9 Clover, 8 Flower, and 9 Ribbon for each Alcremie form. Get 59 Milcery in total. Look through boxes for any extra Alcremie I may have. - Get Male Vivillon Fancy. Not sure how I will get the other Vivillon types yet as I barely used my Pokemon Go account for a while now ( Note that it is the postage letters I need to send to SV to use to get specific Vivilon types to show up for.... Idk if it was 1 hour or 1 day :/ ) - Seek out Dittos for Careful, Gentle, Hasty, Impish, Jolly, Quiet, and Rash natures to complete the set. - Find an Antique Sinistea and Polteageist. Same with Masterpiece Polchageist and Sinischa. - Transfer Walking Wake and Ursaluna to Home. Then play Shining Pearl for: - Seek out a male Swellow. - Seek out Female Skitty either at Route 222 or Grand Underground. Search to find which is quicker! Check if Moon Stone is in my bag. - Cry at the Trophy Garden and hope they have Castform available. If not, attempt to get two from the game below. - Catch 4 Clamperl: 3 Male and one female. Evolve two for Huntail and one for Gorebyss. Seek out their evolution items and see if a friend can help with evolution trade. - Not sure if I will do this one because I forgot to do the event. That is finding a way to unlock Shaymin to catch and change into its Sky Forme. - Go to Heatran cave and try to get a Male version of it ( Reset until it is male ) Then play Omega Ruby for: - Get far enough in the game, just to get Latios, Groundon and Deoxys. Must restart playthrough after Deoxys, just to get a second Deoxys. Need both Speed and Defense form. - Get Castform if no luck with Shining Pearl. Then play Pokemon Scarlett for: - Complete the game nitwick. - Pop a Fire sandwich for the Paldean Tauros Blaze variant. - Get all the Past Paradox. - Catch a Koraidon to have my OT ( I have one as a gift. But my Collectathon only counts for mine and event OTs <:3. Only exception is Furfrou haircuts, unless ZA lets me transfer haircuts on Home from there! ) - If I decide to buy the DLC again: Go get Gourging Fire and Raging Bolt Then Play Legends Arceus: - Create another profile to play the game again. just to get another Enamorus. Could get myseld a Tornadus if Black2 is not successful on having another. Then Play Pokemon Shield: - Create another profile for Shield, just to get Regidrago, Glastier, and Kubfu ( Get Kubfu 3 times ). Then lastly I will play Sword: - Finally make enough progress to be able to catch Zacian ( I have a shiny one from a event but not a regular ) And the rest I am unsure how to obtain ( As some of these can be caught in DA adventures but I want their shiny variants. Could only get them once per file ):

December's coming, and with it, probably Neo Champion alts. If I had to guess, Lucas, Dawn, and Barry with the Lake Trio. Sinnoh hasn't had anything for a while, and Lucas and Barry still need their teamup lines. I know we're expecting Hoenn because shiny Rayquaza, but if not the shiny pseudos, then who would Brendan and May get? Also, I don't think Rayquaza is Horizons-related, since they'd want to wait for the starters to fully evolve. Unless we get Amethio and Ceruledge...

Oh, to be clear, I don't think they're doing another anime tie-in. I doubt that's the goal, but I do think Shiny Rayquaza is a focus because of the anime specifically.

I don't know if they'll do Lake Trio, because a lot of people have expressed dislike of the notion of three Psychic focus pairs as Master Fairs. They'd like to do something a little more eclectic, but my stance is still "Dawn and Mesprit should be a thing." I'd guess Heatran on Barry and maybe Manaphy on Lucas. Maybe Shaymin Land.

Heya Charles! Seeing all these pokemon posts are sending me into my own poke-frenzy and I had to ask, which shinies are your favorites? And oh! Favorite legendaries!

ooooohhh thats a hard one!!! i like aloooot of shinies but my opinions on them tend to vary from generation to generation since differing spritework and colour variatians between games make all the difference.

i do have to say i think i have some rather unpopular shiny opinions lol. a couple of of mine are i quite like green shinies and subtle/near unnoticable shinies.

just some of my favourite shinies just off the top of my head (NOT comprehensive) are both tauros and miltank, EMBOAR, watchog, HEATMOR, maractus, victreebel, sudowoodo, girafarig, snubbull, spinda, scolipede and the trubbish line

oooh for legendaries (not counting mythicals or ultra beasts) i really like raikou, heatran, null and silvally and lunala!

and i feel like ho-oh and mewtwo are a given haha

Almia’s Guardians (aka the Gem Guardians)

In old times, there were stories about three guardians who protected what is now the Almia region. These three guardians were...

Tonnatusare (Cresselia)

The shining healer, Tonnatusare was called Brilla by the Almians. She is a Cresselia who came down from the heavens eons ago and grew fond of these lands and the people and Pokémon living in them. She is the original creator of the crescent-shaped Yellow Gem and its Gem Guardian.

Tonnatusare roams the skies above the region. Her power wanes and waxes with the phase of the moon, at her height during the full moon. When there is no moon in the sky, she is said to be resting and restoring her powers. The sight of the first crescent signals her return to the skies.

Kirorape (Heatran)

The blazing protector, Kirorape was called Fuego by the Almians. He is a Heatran who was born deep in the earth under these lands and created a volcanic island where Pokémon and people came to live. He is the original creator of the flame-shaped Red Gem and its Gem Guardian.

Kirorape is able to travel quickly to any part of the region, through an underground network of old lava tunnels that connect to the surface.

Inkaram (Shiny Mew)

They who remained hidden amongst people, watching their actions and judging their hearts. Inkaram was called Miran by the Almians. They are a Shiny Mew and the original creator of the teardrop-shaped Blue Gem, and accordingly were its original Gem Guardian.

After acting against the kingdom of Almia centuries ago and expending a large amount of power to permanently alter Hia Valley’s climate, they passed on the mantle of Gem Guardian to the Lucario line that was descended from those bonded with the Almians’ earliest leaders, before the Almians became corrupt. Inkaram’s presence has not been observed by or made known to any humans in the region since then.

Bolded names/words are derived from the Ainu language.

inkar: to look/to see ram: mind, soul, heart

Pokemon Legends: The Ancient Jungle/Mew

Based on an ancient jungle environment where fossil and dinosaur pokemon thrive an abound, the environment is thick muggy jungle and the lore of the game focuses on the discovery of the ancient pokemon Mew perhaps by following clues related to the origins of Ditto as potentially related to Mew, side stories about the origins of the legendary bird pokemon (also, even though Lugia is gen 2, perhaps he could be included here since hes the supposed leader of the bird trio? and the Johto game would focus on Ho-oh and the Beasts anyway) Mewtwo obivously wouldn’t feature but that’s fine he doesn’t need to, could easily have stories about Meltan and Melmetal instead, who are ancient pokemon

Pokemon Legends: The Burned Tower/Ho-oh

Based on a more traditional ancient Japanese style retelling of the origins of Ho-oh and the Legendary Beast trio, see the original tower burned, maybe finally see who exactly were the three original pokemon lost in the flames? with side stories about Celebi’s ancient forest and it’s travels through time but also GIVE ME UNOWN LORE BLEASE

Pokemon Legends: The Great Meteor/Jirachi

Goes into the ancient stories of the draconid people introduced in the delta episode of the ORAS remakes, Primal Ancient Kyogre and Groudon, at the peak of their power, a time where meteors constantly fell upon the earth and the first ever Mega-Evolution of Rayquaza, from the wish the first lorekeeper made upon the rainbow stone (Maybe this was originally just Jirachi themselves), plenty of side story content in the form of the Regi’s (Including Regigigas and Regidraco/Regieleki) and the twin Latias/Latios

Pokemon Legends: Arceus, duh

(but I can hope it’s not JUST Arceus, ples give some spotlight to the tons of underused in lore legendaries this gen, Darkrai, Cresselia, Shaymin, Manaphy, HEATRAN)

Pokemon Legends: The First Dragon/Kyurem/??? Pokemon that might have a different name then Kyurem

OBVIOUSLY gonna be about the first dragon, the true singular form of the original dragon that split into Kyurem, Reshiram and Zekrom and the conflict between the early factions of humans hinted from the story of black and white, give the Justice trio (Terrakion, Cobalion, Virizion, Keldeo) some side story content in the form of being active in those ancient human conflicts, Victini lore, the weather trio representing the wilderness of nature back in those times, Genesect very likely wouldn’t be a thing, but Meloetta could

Pokemon Legends: The Ultimate Weapon/Zygarde

Huge potential here for a pokemon game set during the great kalosian WAR, view the original stories of King AZ and the unique floette, how their story happened, give Zygarde some sort of role or function as antagonist against those who would create the weapon out of a captured Zerneas/Yveltal in it’s role as balancer of the natural order, easy easy side content stories, flesh out Diancie’s connection to the Carbinks, go into the story of that huge crystal sundial of Anistar City, Hoopa gots some cool stuff, and Volcanion could even have a role as something cool

Pokemon Legends: Ultra Space/Necrozma

While they could focus on Magearna for this game, since Magearna is the only pokemon with some Ancient Lore from within the region itself attached to it from this gen, I fell like Sun and Moon’s fancy legends game would actually be better served by exploring much deeper into the role of the Ultra Space, you get glimpses of the alien worlds when visiting the ultra beasts natural habitats, and you get the main Necrozma based city in ultraspace

Modern Alola is actually already very traditional, already holding fast to ancient observations and traditions that going back to plain olden times alola I feel wouldn’t do as much? Esp cuz all the interesting stuff back then the aura and totem Pokémon, all happened because of Necrozma’s fall into the world from Ultra Space

I think the intro would be best served as starting in the distant past of Alola sure, but then Necrozma falls out of Ultra Space, rips open a wormhole, and our protagonist is then Sucked Into it and their journey is throughout the cosmos of the space inbetween and giving legendary like lore to the actual Ultra Beasts themselves, Lunala and Solgaleo and Cosmog/Cosmoem originate from here anyway, so they could still be included in this story as our way back, perhaps as our original ally in the fight to stop Necrozma from devouring all the light of our world in the travels through ultra space

Marshadow and Zeraora should get some obvious love as well for sure

Pokemon Legends: The Darkest Day/Eternatus

So it’s true that we have a clear once a time story with the darkest day event from Eternatus’s history

but funnily enough, I kinda always figured that that “Darkest day” was actually Necrozma’s doing that got falsely attributed to Eternatus, since yknow, in eating of the light of the world, the day would actually darken, and doesn’t Eternatus look REALLY like something that popped out of an Ultra Wormhole? really makes you think...certainly would be a hell of a coincedence

On the flipside for “okay but what else would they do in ancient galar”, I feel like if they did do a Galar Legends game, I think a pokemon King Arthur type legendary story would be very cool, just legit make a pokemonized King Arthur/Calyrex story and we would go Nuts over it

sooo, Pokemon Legends: The Old Kingdom/Calyrex

obviously Calyrex and his steeds would be the main focus of this ancient tale with some sprinklings of Zacian/Zamazenta, but really when you glean through the ancient stories hidden in the galar, more of it focuses on the Acnient Kings of the galar region, and really Eternatus already got explored enough in the actual galar games anyway, give me the Dark Hidden Lore of Galar

but again, still some very cool side content with Zarude and Urshifu at least and perhaps maybe a tad more of the cuckoo galarian bird trio? make it tie all the way back to Legends Kanto game somehow? Ancient bird rivalry between twin trios of legendary birds would be a neat thing to explore

though how neat would it be if they actually tied all fo the ancient apolcalyptic stories from across the regions into one connected story?

in Hoenn it was that a great meteor threatened to destroy the planet so person wishes on a falling shiny rock to make the apocalypse go away, SunMoon has Necrozma darkening the sky and eating the light and when they got shattered it caused powerful shiny rocks to coalesce out of the sky, SwordShield had twin kings wish upon a magic shiny rock to make the darkest day go away

hey wait a minute, seeing a pattern there...

wonder if the great war of kalos old was also fought under some sky darkening event? and if it also involved the magical power of some shiny rock? and each region’s story is just their personal twist on the same ancient event, in the land of old, when all regions were once one...

what if the ancient conflict in Black/White’s history was actually the same war from kalos’s history? And it was actually a war between Unova and Kalos? Same war from two different sides of the conflict

I have created a new way of making a pokemon team that is so emotionally excruciating! 

Anyway whats your pokemon team and top Legendary/Mythic based SOLELY on how much you love them?

Ok, so. The final six is important but this is a process. It will take time, and it will be emotionally draining.

But most importantly as you do it remember- this is about love. This is about favoritism. Fuck viability. Fuck team comp. Fuck cuteness. Fuck cool factor. Fuck better designs. None of that superficial stuff. 

Who do you LOVE with your WHOLE ENTIRE HEART? Who’s your buddy? Your friend? Your pokemon soulmate? Who lives in your heart rent free? Who do you stan beyond all reason? Who, when it gets down to brass tacks, you have no argument for liking them, other than you just LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

Its a subtle distinction but it’s important. Hold onto that, cause that’s the true decider.

For regular ‘mons  starters, alternate region types, and alternate forms are allowed (Like the two forms of wishiwashi, and mega evolutions). No shinies and shiny consideration isn’t a factor. No gigantamax forms. All forms must be considered separately, if you love all three evolutions in a line each fight for individual spots, if you love all alt forms of a pokemon all fight for their own spot. so a final six could have three forms from one pokemon line if you feel all three forms beat out all other pokemon for you. (It could be all deerling/sawsbuck if you so choose)

For Mythics/Legendaries/Ultra Beasts Same rules for forms and shinys apply here. Being a surprisingly divisive categorization I’m just gonna list what I’m counting as everyone has differing opinions on this:

On to the process! But please remember to take breaks, if your doing it right it’ll be agony.

So the first step: Go to bulbapedia and look through every pokemon ever released. Transfer the pic of each one that speaks to you (love it, it’s cool, you just think it’s neat etc.) onto an MS paint canvas or any other art program. Make it big! Bring ‘em all in! Though put the legends and mythics off to the side for their own bracket. Then save that puppy.

Step two: The filtering process begins. Start a new layer or MS paint file and copy over the higher tier mons from the previous page. Save when done with your new list. You will be doing this quite a few times, so don’t worry about keeping the bar low; general like to more specifically your favs, the good favs to the really good favs, etc.

Do this for the regular mons on one side, and the Mythics/Legendaries/Ultra Beast on the other

Step three: Keep repeating step two, raising the bar each time. Remember! Prioritise personal connection!

Step nine: Go cry w some ice cream and a blanket, I know this was hard. But hey! You have definitive favs now :)

Step four: As you get closer to the end, around the final 30, it’ll start getting harder and you will likely have to start ranking ‘mons for your own clarity. Seperate two from the pile and ask yourself, which of these two bois do I truly love more? 

Step five: Finalize the top six ‘mons and one Mythic/Legendary

Step six: Sit and stew in your guilt and regret for at least a day

Step seven: Change your top six and top mythic/legendary to it's true finalized form to elevate your regrets, thus creating your True final. You may need to do this a few times to achieve true peace with your choices, if you have any doubt, you're not done yet.

Step eight: once peace is achieved, post it (either w a screenshot of the team builder or lining up your mons pics, or type em out if your on mobile idk)

I got the motherfucking Cute Charm glitch active in my copy of HeartGold!

If you don’t know what that is, in the gen 4 games, there’s a glitch where, if your trainer ID and secret ID (a hidden value not visible to the player) are almost perfectly lined up, most wild Pokemon will have a shiny rate of about 20% if you lead your party with a Pokemon with the Cute Charm ability. It only works with wild Pokemon that can be both male and female, so no genderless or fixed gender Pokemon (meaning no legendaries aside from Heatran). Still though, that means almost every Pokemon you encounter has a 1/5 chance to be shiny!

It’s a very particular setup that most save files won’t have, but fortunately, the RNG in gen 4 games is predictable and easy to exploit, so all you need to set up a save file with this glitch active is to set your DS to a specific time before you start a new save file and then execute a couple of frame-perfect inputs in the intro. There’s some programs you can download that will generate the time you need to set your DS to and help you with the timing of the inputs. You don’t need to hook up any external device to your DS, this can be accomplished with just a plain old normal system and copy of the game.

I used this video as a tutorial, and as a bonus, it shows you an RNG setup that not only gives you this glitch, but also allows you to do a short manipulation at the start of the game to get a shiny starter of your choice, which I also got!

It took me 36 attempts total spread out over a few hours to get it right, but I’m super happy to have landed this. I’m gonna have a lot of fun with this file.

Non-linearity

Ability to erase file regularly. It’s ridiculous that the old school games are better about it.

Fuecoco’s final form is an awesome Kaiju looking croc with secondary dragon type, based on the mythologies of Spain. Beast boost/multiscale, and morning sun. Over 100 for his speed, one of the defenses, and one of the attacks.

Alternatively Fuecoco can be a reptilian fairy, also based on the mythologies of Spain. Magic Guard, access to recover, and over 100 for his speed, one of the defenses, and one of the attacks.

Don’t really care about Sprigatito, but if it stands on two paws and is Grass/Fighting, then GameFreak is just trolling at this point.

Quaxly be Water/Fighting with a Darkwing Duck theme.

None of the three starters copy abilities nor typing from previous starters.

Future Meta

Bring all megas and Ash-Greninja. 

If megas don’t come back, Venusaur gets thick fat as another ability. 

If megas don’t come back, give Charizard a permanent fire/dragon type with additional levitate ability, make it the fastest fire starter, and permanent redesign as Mega Y. Alternatively, Zard can keep its Fire/Flying type with another ability called Dragon privilege where Zard gets their resistances and stab, without their weaknesses.

If g-max comes back, let Charizard’s be Fire/Dragon. If g-max don’t come back, let Zard keep G-max Wild Fire as permanent moveset.

Give Blastoise a secondary steel type.

That’s all the Kanto starters need. Not more new forms.

Give megas or g-maxes to Meganium and Feraligatr. Feraligatr gains a dragon typing, over 100 speed stat, and keep sheer force.

Boost basic form Feraligatr’s speed. 

Let sheer force work on ALL moves with secondary effects, including Earthquake, Hydro Cannon, and Superpower. Give Feraligatr Outrage, Icicle Crash, Meteor Mash, Play Rough, Poison Jab, and Zen Headbutt.

Meganium gains a secondary fairy type, Natural Cure, and Unaware ability, regardless of mega. Johtonian Typhlosion gains a secondary ground type and additional drought ability. It gains access to special ground moves, especially Earth Power.

Mega Sceptile gets the contrary ability and Draco Meteor. If megas don’t come back, Sceptile’s design gets rebooted to resemble its mega with either its secondary dragon typing or a dark typing; along with aforementioned ability and move. 

If megas don’t come back, Swampert gets its swift swim, stats, and access to recovery.

Samurott redesigned to be bipedal and Water/Fighting.

From now on, give megas to Pokémon that desperately need them. Especially fully evolved third form Pokemon.

Give megas to Chesnaught and Delphox (Greninja already keeps Battle Bond). Delphox has Magic Guard for basic form and Fire/Fairy typing with Magic Bounce upon mega evolving.

Ash-Greninja gets black shiny too.

Greninja continues to be OU competitive. I would like to see Protean take double typing into consideration to make it more distinct from Libero, i.e. if Gren uses gunk shot then its secondary Dark typing gets pushed to first and poison becomes its second. If it then uses a ground type move, poison gets pushed to first typing and ground becomes second. Let it have access to all type moves, especially for special and status moves.

Bring back unique z-moves only

From now on, give g-maxes to mons don’t already have a mega (save for Tyranitar)

Give Hydreigon and Tyranitar Gigantamax forms..

Overhaul Intelleon in design and competitive. Give it forecast and mimicry as hidden abilities.

Majority non-flying Pokémon should not have a speed higher than 100. Greninja and Garchomp are amongst the exceptions.

Rayquaza be the fastest Pokémon and access to Roost.

Haxorus gains a secondary steel type and tertiary beast boost ability.

Tyrantrum speed above 100, defense at least 100, and Dinosaur tactics (same as Gorilla tactics).

Replace Aurorus’ secondary ice typing with fairy. Make it very bulky in both defenses, like Bastiodon. Abilities: Misty Surge, Magic Bounce, and Multiscale. Give it power gem and recover.

Boost Normal type to be super effective and immune to fairies (logic being that if normal humans don’t believe in fairies, fairies die)

Acid moves get boosted and be super effective against steel, similar to freeze dry with water types.

Corrosion let’s all poison moves erode steel immunity.

Ice be resisted to normal

Rock be resisted to themselves.

Nerf Stealth Rock to be like Spikes. Only hurts flying types in the same way spikes hurt grounded mons. It doesn’t affect other types.

Boost the Dark type to not be weak to bug.

Dark Void gets boosted back to 80%, only to be immune by dark types. Smeargle, and any other mons through metronome, can use it freely again, but will lose hp in the process. Only Darkrai won’t lose hp.

Fairy immune to triage.

Tapu Koko and Bulu get Play Rough.

Light Clay affects safeguard.

The choice of protagonists and partners have different personalities,  dialogue, and reactions. We’re talking hundreds of combinations and different dialogues.

Open world

Explorers of Sky 2

Sceptile (formerly Grovyle) returns and has more ho/foe-yay with Dusknoir, particularly from Dusknoir’s side. Celebi also returns.

Sceptile can Mega evolve and Dusknoir has G-max form.

Brand New Mystery Dungeon game: Male Serperior line + Male Greninja line romance, or at least ho/foe-yay. Especially from the Serperior. They’re important original characters.

Legends Suicune

Psychic Snivy, Dark Froakie, and Fighting Chimchar as the next starters. All stages are redesigned.

Serperior has the Psychic/Fairy typing; and same speed and his highest attack number stat as his original form. As for secondary hidden abilities: Arena Trap and Sand Rush. Don’t redesign him to make him overtly feminine. Androgynous is fine.

Alternatively, Serperior is Psychic/Ground type; same deal as the Psychic/Fairy.

If Serperior has the Psychic/Fairy typing, then Gren is Ghost/Dark. If Serperior is Psychic/Ground, then Dark/Poison Gren.

Greninja has Ghost/Dark typing with grim reaper theme and wonder guard ability. (I know this is super unrealistic and GF would be insane, but a bias person can dream.) Same hp stat/speed, 0 defense, 0 special defense, and at least decent attack stats.

Alternative 2, Ghost/Dark Gren with grim reaper theme, Shadow Tag, and same stats as Ash-Gren (because you know it would be banned to Ubers anyway). Access to encore, perish song, destiny bond, trick, taunt, and strength sap.

Alternative 3, Dark/Poison Gren with secondary hidden abilities: Prankster and Skill Link, special and physical attack stat switched. Access to baleful bunker, defog, destiny bond, dark void (back to 80% accuracy), haze, strength sap, parting shot, spikes, toxic spikes, trick, taunt, will-o-wisp, physical poison and/or dark version multi-attack, scale shot, triple axel/icicle spear, and triple kick. Especially with Ash-Gren stats, but original Gren’s stats are fine too.

Infernape has Fighting/Steel with same stats as before. Secondary hidden abilities: Scrappy (access to rapid spin) and No Guard (access to Meteor Mash, Bullet Punch, Hi-Jump Kick, Dynamic Punch, Mach Punch, Stone Edge, and Zen Headbutt)

Choices and consequences, branching story paths. Preferably similar to Morrowind in terms of joining affiliation(s).

Open world of Arceus Legends and turn-based gameplay as main series

I meant to write a small paragraph and got carried away. Anyway I’ve had sky since I was like. Almost since Diamond and Pearl came out. This was always the story I had set for her it didn’t change like. At all. The words of a much younger Ben basically asddfg, 

Sky came to the Survival Area when she was an ambitious, Pokemon-less, ten year old. Very leap before you think she runs into dangerous situations for the sake of gathering information on important Pokemon. She heard about the volcano and Heatran which led her to the Area to begin with. It was at that point she met Buck. And thus began her stay in the Survival Area, where she was allowed board in the Battleground (which I always headcanoned to mostly be a battle area where some of the top trainers in Sinnoh hung out, but also sort of a joint Poke-Center/Inn). 

Oddball joined Sky out front of the Battle Tower. Tossed out by a trainer who likened the Shiny coloring to mean ‘this Pokemon must be strong’, so wasn’t too happy with the Skitty being weak by his standards. Sky and the little Skitty get along swimmingly however, and they’re the best of pals and very much like eachother to be sure. This is Sky’s first Pokemon. 

Sky is known for being VERY chatty, super friendly, and always rarin to go. She loves to tune into the nightly news station just to catch field reporters Roxy and Oli as they battle trainers and get the latest scoop in the Pokemon Coordination scene, or share the newest Pokemon styles. For the longest time, Sky wants to be very much like Roxy, though the reporter introduces her to Contests down the line which really sets the stage for the rest of Sky’s professional career down the line. 

Sky’s loud rambunctious attitude, and constant questions are sort of aggravating to Buck to begin. Especially at that age when she first makes it to the battle area, the Gym Leaders hardly have room to breathe as she asks so many questions. Truth be told, they don’t actually mind. She’s always a ball of energy but as she gets older she does sort of find the means to tone herself down (Pokemon Battling and Pokemon Contests as well as training really gives her somewhere to channel all that built up energy). 

She likes talking to Roark and Volkner especially. She’ll ask Roark all kinds of questions about gems and rocks and fossils. Flint, of course, is someone she also likes to talk to. They both share that sense of boundless energy and she learns a lot about battling from the Elite Four Memeber. 

Buck and Sky travel a lot across Sinnoh in pursuit of their ultimate goals and start to really understand and respect eachother. They end up very good pals, best of friends.

Moonball (Favorite Gen VII Pokémon): : > aside from the obvious answer (stakataka) uuh!! all of the ultra beasts!!!!!!! and the starters are great coz of course they are. Apricorn (Favorite Fossil Pokémon): i hope gen 8 has fossil pokemon again D : ! i missed them in alola. theyre all great of course, favourites though aaare: aerodactyl coz i shiny hunted that one and it took ages in lets go and it was so worth it to fly on it, kabutops when i was a kid i thought it was SO rad! aurorus its so cool!!!!!!!!!! and shieldon for nostalgia reasons. also archen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but theyre all super cool i could probably do a list of all of them with reasons i like them but i willnot! i dont want this to be too long

A Pokemon Cosmology

Trying to have positive pokemon thoughts so I went and created a sort of map of emanations of the various mythical/legendary/ultra beast pokemon from larger concepts like Space and Time emanating down into more specific concepts like Guardians of Specific Islands

This mostly does follow canon groupings/leaderships etc but some groups were put near other groups, or in some cases given a leader or pairs associated with other pairs etc depending on if I decided I liked it or not

it’s not meant to be like “This Pokemon created this Pokemon” or etc, just that the things they have dominion over, are lesser than the things the Pokemon higher up the foodchain has dominion over

Also, sometimes some legendaries were sort of given designations that they may not have canonly have, but I think would be a good idea for them to have dominion over/represent

I made a chart and then explanations will follow:

First we got Arceus, Ultimate Creator

then he’s surrounded by all the Unowns as his “Thousand Arms of Creation”

then the big three concepts he made were Dialga (Time), Palkia (Space) and Giratina (Antimatter)

First, Dialga

Since Dialga represents Time, I’d figure he’d have dominion over the Pokemon that represent the things we use to recognize Time, The Sun(Solgaleo), the Moon(Lunala) and Light/Darkness as a concept itself (Necrozma) which are all essentially concepts of Light and Energy in the Universe

Also with Dialga is Celebi, a being able to move freely throughout any Time, so possibly representing the Currents of Time, or specifically Past, Present and Future

Undereath Lunala (The Full Moon) we have Cresselia (Crescent Moon) and Darkrai (New Moon), the three of them representing the Night and possibly Dreams

Under Solgaleo (The Sun) we have Meltan(Metal) and Melmetal(Fusion), and where Lunala and friends represented things of a metaphysical nature, Solgaleo and friends represent Light’s more physical side, with Meltan and Melmetal representing the idea of a Star’s molten metal core as a representation of the byproduct of Nuclear Fusion and the natural origin of all Metal

Lastly under Zekrom (Light) are Jirachi(Meteors/Stars) and Deoxys(Auroras) the other natural phenomenons that symbolize Light other than the Sun and Moon

Then Cosmog/Cosmoem represent Nebulas/Cosmos/Shiny Stardust and put under Lunala/Solgaleo as their natural parents

Next, Palkia.

Palkia represents Physical Space, and therefore, the next in line are those that created the pieces of our Physical Planet, Kyogre (Ocean), Groudon (Land) and Rayqauza (Atmosphere)

Also with Palkia is Hoopa, a being with a relationship to Palkia similar to the one Celebi has with Dialga, being able to freely move throughout Space, teleporting as it pleases, representing the idea of Teleportation and Location. 

Celebi and Hoopa are not higher than Dialga or Palkia, they merely have the total freedom to explore the ideas under their dominion, theyre like Palkia and Dialga’s kids. Manaphy had the title “Prince of the Sea” under Kyogre, maybe Celebi and Hoopa can be the Princes of Time and Space?

Under Kyogre (Ocean) we have Phione (Warm Seas) and Manaphy (Cold Seas). 

then also we have Lugia (Beast of Underwater Currents) and under Lugia the three legendary birds.

Now, the three birds don’t really all have an association with some form of water, but you could stretch them into either Weather Patterns (Which are determined by the ocean and it’s currents) as Snow/Rain/Sun OR as representing different States of Water, Frozen Ice (Articuno), Liquid Rain (Zapdos) and Gaseous Vapor (Moltres), which, kinda makes sense, idk theyre ruled by the ocean currents and all live on islands surrounded by water its the best I can come up with

either works, but, since there is a “Weather Trio” later on, the states of water probably work best

Nest we have Rayquaza (Atmosphere) which has the underlings Latios (Cold Air Currents) and Latias (Warm Air Currents) and from them spawn the actual Weather Trio, Thundurus (Humidity), Tornadus (Wind) and Landorus (Heat), rather than just saying rain/storm etc I figured making it the three factors that control all the weather patterns that can happen to make the most sense here

Finally we have Groudon (Land) which has the underlings Heatran (Earth’s Molten Core) and Diancie (Earth’s Crust) and I like this because it matches the pattern of each Planet Trio member having two underlings representing the hot and cold versions of each trio. Also under Groudon (Land) we have Regigigas (Continents) who rules landmasses in general, then under Regigigas we have the various types of solid landmasses possible Regice (Ice/Snow/Tundra), Regirock (Stone/Earth/Mountain) and Registeel (Cities/Steel/Construction). 

Then separately under Regigigas, but lower then the other 3 Regi’s, we have the rulers of specific small particular landmasses, various Island Guardians, the 4 Tapu’s. I’d say Regigigas is their direct ruler, because what are islands except Tiny Continents, but theyre lower in priority than the 3 Regi’s since those guys represent 3 basic types of landmasses, similar but different.

The more specific you get the more things fractal outwards

Next we have Giratina who represents Antimatter, and under him most nonphysical/spiritual concepts that are misunderstood and foreign and hard to grasp, since they sort of exist on the “other side” of things. Xerneas (Life), Yveltal (Death), Zygarde (Balance/Aura). 

Also with him is Marshadow and Mew. Marshadow is a ghost pokemon that lives in the shadows, but also represents the idea of the “fighting spirit” which often associated with “Aura” in pokemon. Whereas Mew is the genetic physical origin of all living Pokemon. 

So both sort of represent the two halves needed to create a living existing creature. Mew representing the body and the physical form, Marshadow representing the soul, the spirit, or the aura needed to give life to that physical form. Dunno what exact title to give, perhaps Prince of Aura and Prince of DNA or something along those lines. 

Underneath Zygarde, representing Balance/Nature, we have Ho-oh representing Reincarnation or Rebirth

and while you’d think it makes sense to have Ho-oh underneath Xerneas (Life) instead, the idea of Rebirth naturally involves a delicate Balance or natural Cycle of both Life and Death. So under Zygarde they go. 

then of course Ho-oh as Reincarnation has dominion over Suicune (Purifying Water), Raikou (Revitalizing Electricity) and Entei (Transmuting Fire) aka the various ways something can be “reborn”: Purified of any corruption or healing of damage, given new strength or Vitality, or physical remoulding of it’s shape or form, the same things that happened to all three. (also because i like to believe that while Unown’s may have created the Entei in the third pokemon movie, it’s ability to reshape reality at will could have naturally been it’s own as well, maybe, i know not really but still)

This has potential then for future legendary pokemon underneath Yveltal and Xerneas to represent different specific concepts of Destruction/Death/Illness and Creation/Life/Healing. Like Sickness, Old Age, Decay, Growth, Youth, and Vitality. 

Next we have those also directly under Arceus, as an ultimate creator, whereas Dialga, Palkia and Giratina represented Time, Space and Antimatter respectively, Arceus has dominion over the concept of Humanity, with me sort of borrowing the concept of gods creating humanity in their image. 

Now, you can see a sort of empty point here where it looks like a Pokemon should be in this spot, similar to Palkia/Giratina/Dialga, but this is because technically Arceus is both directly fulfilling this spot, and because this spot overlaps with the three beneath it, Reshiram/Zekrom and Kyurem. I kind of see it as both Arceus and “the original dragon” that is Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem all fused, which we get close to, but never really fully see. And i like this because it kind of highlights that the question to humanity’s existence and purpose, doesn’t have an answer, just like this spot doesn’t have a ruler.

Here also, we have the two beings who would have supported what this ultimate being of humanity might have represented, and indeed what Arceus may have intended to shape humanity into all along.

Victini, representing Power, Victory, Success and Shaymin, representing Gratitude, Appreciation, Recognition. 

Really does paint a picture of an almost angelic sense of euphoria and love. If we take even more christian mythos as inspiration here, it makes sense that the lack of a figure representing Euphoria and Love as penultimate concepts of humanity, and the fact that it no longer exists, almost points to a “fall of man/why evil exists” kind of situation, where that being of love and euphoria and what it represented was rejected by those it was meant to have dominion over, and was thus shattered from existence as a result. And it makes sense in another way too, to be eternally euphoric kind of demands a lack of free will and choice in order to be true, which humanity would obviously never accept, even if temporary pain and evil was the result. 

So from that, Reshiram represents the human conception of Truth, and Zekrom represents the human conception of Ideals. This is branched out to be a sort of Intellect/Rationality versus Emotion/Freewill kind of idea in my mind. But they also represent different forms of Energy, Reshiram’s Fire and Zekrom’s Electricity. Kyurem as the third is a nullifier of both, due to it’s nature as empty husk of the original. So while Reshiram/Zekrom represent the natural leftover concepts of Humanity and Energy, Kyurem represents unnatural humanity and Entropy (Absolute Zero Ice). 

So from Reshiram (Truth), spawns the idea of Keldeo (Justice), the idea that things can be Right or Wrong, or can be logically determined as such. This gets you Cobalion (Rationality), Terrakion (Reality) and Virizion (Intellect).

A subset of Reshiram’s Fire Energy we also have Volcanion, who represents specifically Steam energy. 

on the other side, you have Zekrom (Ideals), spawns the idea of Meloetta (Expression), the idea of individuality and that each person has their own perspective or priorities. This gets you Azelf (Willpower), Uxie (Knowledge) and Mesprit (Emotion) (also it just feels really aesthetically nice to think of Meloetta as the Lake Trio’s “leader” she has basically the same color scheme and design of being somewhat pixie like, has the fourth color green to the lake trios red/yellow/blue, and is slightly taller more humanshape to denote her status as leader, its a great idea and you should love it like i do)

a subset of Zekrom’s Electric energy we have Zeraora, who represents specifically Plasma Energy.

Underneath Kyurem (Unnatural Humanity) we get all of our man-made legendaries. Starting with Magearna (Manufacturing/Man-Making in general) as the oldest legendary created by man, then branching out to Genesect (Scientific Modification), Type:Null (Scientific Blending) and Mewtwo (Scientific Creation). Then Type:Null gets its evolution in Silvally, possibly representing the concept of Trust or Friendship as a whole, a wholly natural human activity, that also has to be created or nurtured by humanity to continue existing, Naturally Man-Made, a perfect blend of the two. And I like the coincidence that a lot of the manmade pokemon are a direct result result of man’s freewill to be evil or good, just like they were a direct result of Kyurem/Reshiram/Zekrom’s current state of being. 

Lastly the Ultra beasts are kind of, outside of this whole dynamic, I’m not sure if i could solidly put any of them directly tied to Dialga/Palkia/Giratina/Arceus, like there’s some that I thing could kinda work maybe in some cases but overall not really?

Like Xurkitree Kartana and Celesteela looking very man-made (but they aren’t technically) Poipole/Naganadel representing Poison and possibly Illness or Decay, putting it under Yveltal as Death, same as Guzzlord being Destruction

But it’s not, the greatest, so overall I just kinda put them in a circle outside of everything, but closest to the major concepts they sort of have a connection with.

But instead of being tied to anything directly and representing specific concepts, they represent extremely vague ethereal/ephemeral concepts in contrast that are also very alien and inhuman and almost eldritch (when not representing specifically human concepts)

Guzzlord - Represents Destruction in all it’s forms, recycling, transformation, restructuring, but not with any malice, just with the cold unthinking unreasonable processing of a wood chipper eating your leg. 

Poipole/Naganadel - represents poison, illness, sickness, decay, old age, allergies (because theyre bees) basically all things that usher in potential death

Blacephalon - represents Primal Fears/Illusions/The Void/The Ineffable/Unknowable/Eldritch due to the clown association and it’s attack Mind Blown hinting at a more “its all in your head/cannot comprehend the nature of this attack” concept as well.

Celesteela - represents all the ideas of motion, the laws of gravity, propulsion, magnetism, all the forces of the universe that push and pull things together or apart

Pheromosa - represents all concepts of value, beauty, worth, strength, ability, importance, awe, wonder, admiration, love, desire etc the things most humans desire to head towards at full speed

Xurkitree - represents all concepts of machinery, clockwork, computers, circuits, programming and automatons and technology in general, past present future and alien. 

Stakataka - represents ideas of a legion, many being one but all being the same, lack of individuality, a hive mind of samey clones, moving and speaking and being in constant unison, like grains of sand, drops of water, leaves in a forest, it is indistinct, incomprehensible, numerous, countless, innumerable, incalculable, immeasurable, untold, endless etc

Kartana - represents the concept of all physical textures, rough, smooth, sharp, hardness, hairy, coarse, fluffy, slimy etc

Nililego - represents ideas of infiltration, parasitizing, possession, loss of identity, erosion of the self, influencing, puppeteering, invasion, permeation, infection,  an undoing of boundaries, overlapping, linking together, echoing

Buzzwole -  represents all concepts of power, strength, dominance, leeching, violence, force, ferocity, wildness, cruelty, hatred
