Here are two of what I call my “Milestone” shinies, or shiny Pokémon you receive after a big milestone. Meloetta, for completing Scarlet and Violet’s Pokédex (including DLC) and Magearna, for completing Home’s dex requirements (Though this technically doesn’t count as shiny :3 )

Alright. That was a lot faster than expected for missing like 150 dex entries. Thanks, Legends Arceus, for being the only good game ever made and letting me evolve all those trade evolutions. Also thanks to Iron Hands for clearing all those raids before, giving me a shitzillion candies to just evolve all the Pokemon eggs we hatched. And boo at Blueberry Academy for having like 40 entries that didn't register, despite my having them in the base dex, and still having them from Paldea specifically. All I had to do was transfer again, but that's annoying, why does it not check the history and update itself naturally? Game's fucking stupid. But at last, Shiny Meloetta. We are officially Minty Fresh.

On one hand I wish Nintendo would just bite the bullet and start putting Event Pokémon in games after x number of years and not shiny locking them (because let’s be real if someone wants to spend hours/days/weeks/months soft resetting just for an alternate colour palette mon they deserve it) but begrudgingly, and despite it being convoluted, at least I can respect a non time locked way to get a Shiny Event Legendary legitimately

And for anyone who would like to know, to get it you must complete the Pokédex’s for Paldea, Kitikami, and Blueberry Acadamy in Pokemon Home, which according to the article means catching and transferring them all to Pokemon Home

In order to get shiny meloetta, I need to either eventually shell out ~85 dollars to get scarlet version plus the DLC ....OR....get lucky and find someone willing to give their raging bolt and gouging flame to me lmao

I got Shiny Meloetta from Pokemon Home today. With that, I completed the Pokedexs on Pokemon Home. I couldn’t have done it without the GTS, my brother’s Pokemon Shield game, and Discord.

Help for shiny Meloetta

Heya! I know this a long shot, but could anybody please help with touch trading for the dex in Pokemon Home? I needed a Koraidon, Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire. In return I can help with your dex, if you need anything from Violet. I can also help find some shiny Pokemon, since I'm doing allot of shiny hunting lately (not shiny legendaries tho). :3c

It is now done. My first ever shiny meloetta has been received! I believe this my 3rd shiny mythical for the blog as the other 2 were mew and genesect from go.

As grand oak will mention, you just need to complete the paldea, kitikami, and blueberry dex on the home app to receive the beauty of a shiny being posted!

I forgot to mention this in my PSA eariler, but all mons deposited need the sv game origin mark for it to count towards the sv dex. otherwise, it counts towards another game dex instead.

Now, I will be working on completing the dexes for lgpe, swsh, bdsp, and arcues in prep for the next announced reward so I won't have to do it later!

I will prob wind up doing arecus next so there may be a flood of posts in the process of this one.
