my problem is i think most of p5s ships are cute and thats why i almost always am down for some form of polythieves

usually i just lump all the guys together cause all those ships are just so good to me??? and i mean like, every combination of them, even without ren. ill ship ryuji and yusuke. and i also love goro with either of them. ryugoro and akekita are so rare but theyre so nice?? they all just. clenches fists. theyre so good ot4 pegoryugorokita

i think shumako is nice but its just not my cuppa tea. they are dear friends and i do love the image of ren and makoto being a bit rivalcoded and butting heads over phantom thievery and how to lead the team best. and goro is weirdly the one who can actually somehow stop arguments before they happen and get them to compromise.

makoto is NOT the mom friend okay she is the bossy and protective older sister friend. and she is smart and sensible but not immune to her friends infecting her with Stupid. ren is the mom friend. and the dad friend. best of both things. :)

meanwhile i love futago half siblings headcanon. so while goro and makoto are a little more sibling rivalry coded, futaba is still goros actual gremlin sibling who will bully him to death. meanwhile, futaba is actually adoptive siblings with ren. these two are WAY more sibling coded than goro and futaba ever.

and when futaba starts trying to do similar Sibling dynamic things with goro. goro is like ??? "ren, futaba just came in here. stared at me. burped. and then left. what does this mean." and ren is like. "oh is there food? theyre probably telling you theres food and to come out if you want some. or if this is your first time seeing them today they could just be greeting you." and goro is like ????? but louder this time

i adore ryusumi too like oh myg od,,.. wahh.... the sweeties. sumikita is so rare but like. i think they could be kinda cute too?? sumigoro is V platonic soulmates to me like my god theyre so. clenches fist. honestly whole royal trio tbh is just. any mishima ship is super funny imo but like, theyre cute. love yuuki having a crush on ren but like. the game makes it near impossible for you to actually be fucking nice to him so i always get the vibe that ren would rather keep him at a distance, even tho they appreciate him and care about him.

what i absolutely love about having two characters who are narrative foils in a story is that, aside from the fact that together they tend to make an interesting ship, it's also almost always true that all the other characters these foils have great chemistry with have the potential to also work well with their narrative half.

and eerily enough, the appeal or dynamic of the offshoot pairs would turn out to be mind-blowingly similar at core. it's literally like algebra. i have no words.

Ooh nice thank you. I went overboard with this and did all my main Ryuji ships and then added in akeshu because I was on a roll and nobody can stop me.

While it may look like I have favoritism based on how many bingos each of these got, it only came out that way because this particular ship dynamic bingo leans more towards the enemies to lovers trope than anything else. Therefore ryugoro and akeshu have the most! You can't have anything with Akechi Goro without having some enmity and murder in there.

You're not bothering me you're fine, though I do want to discourage joining it. I also left a while ago so even if I wanted to I wouldn't be able to send an invite. I know a tiny bit about what it's like because one of my friends is still in it though inactive themselves.

Going off what they last said about it almost a year ago, it's pretty much dead and the only people on there anymore just go in to talk about nsfw between teenagers and I'm not part of that kind of crowd (proshippers). That server had shit from reporting people to mods for saying they didn't like other ships and sending nsfw Morgana images for laughs. We kept it in an 18+ chat and only people who wanted in there were in it but there was. A lot.

While those specific people aren't there anymore to my knowledge, a lot of the people in there ended up turning into full on proshippers so unless you're really into going into dead nsfw channels and going "hey would x be a bottom or a top" and x is a teenager then I'm sorry to say there's not much there for you.

Honestly, I encourage making your own and if people are interested they'll join, that's how it worked with the og one. I was having thoughts of making a new one myself and I do have one laying around ready to go for like. Super specific Ryugoro fans that like traitor Ryuji that I never ended up using but I dunno if I have the willpower in me after moderating for the last one for almost 2 years.

i'm trying to think over my ship history, ships that ive enjoyed or been diehard for, and id say that the vast majority of ships that ive really been like THIS IS THE OTP tend to be either the most popular ships or the ones that i consider to have the most canon evidence. with a few exceptions like cecil/kevin (i wanted them to kill each other. homoerotically. i was deeply disturbed in middle school.) and things like ryugoro (damn ok i'm really noticing a pattern here.)

i would say probably my top ship of all time is komahina and theyre basically everything but canonically married. so.

ive definitely read and talked about uncommon ships? ive never been super diehard for rarepairs tbh. but the poll was phrased as bare minimum so honestly i think i'm well within my right to say that, theoretically, i would ship two characters without any canon basis or interaction

but also i spent a really long and regrettable amount of time into rpf so honestly the data is skewed. but i wont talk about that publicly in detail probably ever
